Today the sun was out, but the wind was also present and blowing as hard as yesterday. I set out for a recovery ride, staying on the 34 in front as much as possible. Riding up to Arenberg and Egenhoven to follow the Sint Jansbergse steenweg in the direction of Loonbeek, Neerijse, Huldenberg and ultimately Overijse. Here I had to make a detour, riding up the hill towards Brussels and then down the Schavei to arrive at the Frans Verbeek straat, which I followed into Hoeilaart. This was the furthest point of my ride and also the point were I would turn to the left and let the wind blow to my advantage. Up until now it had been working against me. Riding on the big ring now towards Maleizen and then speeding on the plateau towards Tombeek. From Tombeek I took the road towards Sint Agatha Rode and ultimately came back to the Sint Jansbergse steenweg in Neerijse. Taking a right towards Leuven and from here I took another ride back to the south towards Heverlee and the Zoete Waters. Adding another little loop following the Naamsesteenweg to La Chasse and then making my way past the Kazerne de Hemptinne in Heverlee to the Industrieterrain and along the Expressweg back towards Blanden.
