    This morning saw a lot of clouds and some very light drizzle from time to time. Temperature was around 6 degrees C but with a stiff north-easterly wind blowing it didn't feel a lot more than just above freezing.
    Rode out with the Litespeed Obed to explore my Mollendaal trails. The trails were dry but hard and I found myself wishing for some rear suspension more than once during the ride. But the grip was optimal and I got lost in a succession of climbs and descents, on broad and narrow trails. Crisscrossing the forest in a north-south direction I slowly made my way from west to east and ended up at the Bremberg where the trails end. Riding back to the Margrietendreef I did another lap back to the Weerste Dreef and then down to the Prosperdreef and into Blanden.

    Super weather this late afternoon, with the sun shining and temperatures just above 10 degrees C. I decided to ride out with the Obed again and do 2 big laps of  12K riding from Meerdael over the Zoete Waters to the Arboretum in Heverlee forest and then loop back over Vaalbeek to reach Meerdael Forest again. The legs felt fine and the tempo was high throughout the ride, tapering off a bit due to fatigue towards the end.

    With the days lengthening I was able to get in a ride before darkness fell. The sun had been shining today and the trails were dry and hard qwhen I set out with the Litespeed Obed for a brisk evening ride. I did 2 long laps and one shorter and then had to call it a day because of dusk and fatigue . I did not want to overly stress my body so I concentrated on a good pace but with no heavy power pushing.
