Warm and sunny when I left but already dark clouds seemed to be gathering at the horizon. The forecast called for showers in the evening and night, the first this month. So I settled for a fast short lap. Speeding through Bierbeek, Opvelp and Beauvechain and braving the breeze while making my way through Tourinnes, Hamme Mille and Nethen to Sint Joris Weert. There was a lot of car traffic and care had to be taken from both sides. Finishing the ride along the Zoete Waters and Vaalbeek putting just the right amount of stress on my muscles to call it a fun ride. Near the end the clouds were dark and threatening and just after I arrived home some light rain started to fall. A blessing for nature.
