Did not feel too good today,
almost a light fever. Did do 30 minutes on the Tacx Satori but it did not feel
good. Afterwards I did a short stretch and Core Stab
    session.

Felt good yesterday, one of the first days since last september that I wasn't bothered by my lower back. This morning I decided on another 50 minute Tacx Satori ride, followed by a stretching and Core Stabilization session. All went fine.

I took it easy with the festivities last night but still I had a heavy stomach and did not feel like doing much today. I settled for a Tacx Satori ride, which looks like it will be my main exercise method for yet a few weeks to come. An easy 30 minutes followed by some long stretches.

One of the last rides of 2013.
2013 was a year that brought me satisfaction, having ridden the 250K 'Kom Op tegen Kanker' challenge and also riding from Leuven to the Mont Ventoux in seven days, including the ascent of the mythical mountain.
I also suffered from lower back issues, more than likely brought on by asking too much from my body. The last four months have seen me suffer to come back on the bike. I manage the Tacx Satori rides and I also got a lot stronger in the abdomen and lower back muscles doing Core Stabilization exercises but I feel as though I have still a long way to go before riding outside again.

Today say me do a 53 minutes Tacx Satori ride followed by some deep stretches and core stabilization exercises.

Rain and gusty winds were the order of the day. When I got home from work I felt no shame in getting on the Tacx Satori. It does a good job of keeping me fit throughout the winter months and also looks like a safe way to stress my legs without overstressing my lower back muscles.
A good 40 minutes were spent and after that I spent another 40 minutes on doing my Core Stability exercises.

I had a good ride on the Tacx Satori this evening. Some 40 minutes of recovery pace at a low resistance. Afterwards I did some long stretches for my hamstrings, lower back and sartorius muscles.

Had a forest walk today just before noon. 5K and it felt good being out if the open air again. The wind was blowing and temps were around 8 or 9 degrees C but I was well covered and enjoying a brisk pace.
After a couple of hours I decided to add another workout so I got on the Tacx Satori for an easy 41 minutes of recovery pace riding. Legs felt fine, and time passed quickly whilst I was reading the Midnight Symphony series of novellas.

After a visit to the kine left me feeling with a spent feeling in my spine, this morning I decided to ride the rollers and try to get some of the stiffness out of my muscles and joints. An easy ride on the Tacx Satori, reading a book and listening to my favorites on Spotify took good care of me.

Besides having a walk at work when weather allows, I am back to alternating days with a ride on the rollers. Yesterday had me follow the last a 5 Back School sessions and this morning I felt soreness in my deep core muscles, in front and in the back.
I settled for a ride on the Tacx Satori with a new book on my Kindle ; Midnight Symphonies, a selection of 10 unsettling stories. The first one has kept me enthralled for 2 Satoru sessions now. So much so I might even consider reading it further without cycling.
The legs felt OK and a good warm bath followed by some stretching was my reward after the ride.

After a couple of weeks where I have been busy recovering from a lower back problem, following back-school , doing regular Core Stabilization exercises to strenghten my abs and lower back muscles, and attending regular visits to the kine, I received the green light to do a session on the rollers. I settled for half an hour at an easy pace.

An easy week bike-wise so I was eager to get on the Psychlo-X for a mixed ride. Starting out through Meerdael Forest along the Weertse Dreef towards Mollendaal. From Mollendaal I made my way towards Meldert. The wind was blowing cold from the northeast and there was some light rain. With temperatures around 4 degrees C it was not very pleasant outside. From Meldert I rode along the Meerstraat and the down into L'Ecluse. Riding on the small tarmac road out of L'Ecluse towards La Bruyere I made a sudden movement in my lower back and felt a sharp pain just above my right buttock. Damn, something pulled .
I rode on through La Bruyere towards Beauvechain and then took a left towards Tourinnes and Hamme Mille. The pain in my lower back was manageable but I know from experience this will get worse in the hours and days to come. From Hamme Mille I followed the N25 back into Blanden.
At home I took a long hot bath and a painkiller. I did some Core Stab exercises and put on a compression short to help my muscles.

    ENDO

Fog and cold weather this morning but I set out on the Psychlo-X for a ride that would take me along Meerdael Forest towards the Zoete Waters. From there I rode towards Korbeek Dyle where I came to small tarmac roads that were covered in mud. Nasty and I decided to ride towards Leefdaal and Duisburg and then into Tervuren Park. Through the Sonian forest up to Jezus-Eik where I followed the main road into Overijse. From Overijse I rode along a closed N253 towards the Terlanen plains. Down into Terlanen and then over Sint Joris Weert into Meerdael Forest again. It was cold but I was well-dressed for the occasion. My lower back felt sore but the legs were fine.

After a week of relative rest , with an attendance to a back-school on wednesday which provided me with new exercises for my core stability and also with sore muscles, I decided to do a 30 minute Tacx Satori ride today. The legs felt OK but my back muscles were still feeling tired.
