Leaving around 10.30am I saw some dark clouds gathering at the horizon. But the temperature was fine with just 20 degrees C and a mild southwestern blowing. I set out along the 30K road ride starting in Heverlee. I decided to do it in the opposite direction thus taking me to Heverlee and then towards Egenhoven, upper Leefdaal and Neerijse. When I was riding along the crest over Leefdaal I noticed some clouds to my left and the road was becoming wet all of a sudden. So it had rained here and not too long ago as well. My wheels on the tarmac splattered and I felt the drops in my face and on the bike. Turning towards Neerijse I noticed some bikers coming towards me and they had seen some rain. Drowned faces and most wearing rain jackets and other keep-me-dry attire. Me I only experienced some wetness coming from the road, nothing from above. When I reached Sint Agatha Rode and turned towards Sint Joris Weert the roads became dry again and the last kilometers along the Zoete Waters and Vaalbeek had me speeding because I noticed the next of the rainclouds coming towards me. I managed to get home just before the rain started to fall.
