It was threatening to rain when I set out in Meerdael Forest along the Blue Bloso track. This is the toughest physically speaking of the 3 Bloso routes and my plan was to do it twice, once along its usual route, and once in the counterdirection. At the start of the ride it was dry-ish but as the kilometers accumulated it started to rain more and more. The sandy trails next to the Savenel in Nethen were already marginally better to ride but still very tough and strength-sapping. When I arrived at my turning point the track was getting splashy wet and with the rain still coming down I decided to call it a day and try again later in the week for the double. Nevertheless I had a good ride with an average temperature of 18 degrees C and the sun hiding behind the clouds making it ideal for physical exploits.
