Less sunny than the days before, less warm also and a resting day in the Tour de France. So I took the Hilset out for a longer ride. Started out over Leuven and Kessel Lo to get to Wilsele where I had a look at the bikes in the Verbinnen Sport shop. Nice Eddy Merckx bike, but pity it was in carbon. From there I rode on along the Aarschotsesteenweg until I could turn right to reach Holsbeek. Up the Meesberg, sneaking a peek down the Zounck, and then onwards to Kessel Lo again and left to Linden. From there over the mountain to Korbeek Lo. I decided to add another loop when I reached Bierbeek and rode onwards to Opvelp and Beauvechain. Passing a couple of bikers I noticed the girl saying Hi. I later learned it was Maris, a fellow Blandener. Sorry Mousty for not recognizing you.
From Beauvechain I added another loop along La Bruyere. It was starting to rain very gently so I decided to head home when reaching Pietrebais . Took the N240 towards Hamme Mille and then onwards the N25 through Meerdael. Had a good relaxing ride with a little refreshment at the end.
