It looked like another sunny day this morning but instead of going offroad again I opted for a recovery ride on the streets. So I took the Hilset out for a spin along the Haasrode Tour. This is a marked route from a couple of years ago that meanders gently over Haasrode, Bierbeek, Neervelp, Willebringen, Oirbeel and Hoksem towards the Hoegaarden region. Here it goes further towards l'Ecluse , Beauvechain and Pietrebais. Before arriving at Pietrebais I opted to ride home because I didn't want to ride more today.

I took my time along the way to take some pictures of the Sint Katharina Chapel in Hauthem, in the neighborhood of Hoegaarden and the Starfighter F104 which stands on display in front of the 1st Wing Airbase in Beauvechain. I also came across a strange and dangerous situation in the Haasrode Research park area. A pole in the middle of the biking lane, surely that is asking for troubles.
