Weather looked to be fine today so I set out on a long offroad ride. Riding up to Duisburg to pick up on the Red Bloso route. Along the way I passed through the Doode Beemde and then through Neerijse. A fine little climb here brought me to the edge of some big sand pit. Riding around it and then up the Raffelberg I came to the Red track. Following that for an interesting section with a fine singletrail downhill . Entering Duisburg I followed the Red to the big crossroads in Tervuren forest. Since I saw that the Green passed there as well I figured I would follow it from there on . This meant returning on my tracks and then I was on the Green and on the way to Vossem. Past Vossem I spotted a big dark cloud. Hmm, looked like it would rain. The trail followed some nice sections along the Hogenbos and then the rain came. Not much, but the trails were wet when I entered Moorsel for a confusing section through the town. I lost the arrows but found them again a little later and soon I was waiting to cross the busy N3. Even though I was standing on a marked overpass and it was raining, none of the blase Brussels crowd in their cars found it necessary to let me cross. So I had to wait for a long time, thank you assh0leS. When at last there was a gap in traffic I crossed an rode along the wall of the Tervuren park. Missing another arrow due to a parked car covering it, I had to retraced my steps once more to enter the park. Soon I was back at the Zevensprong and followed the Red Bloso again until I came to the Blue Bloso track. This ventured into Tervuren. Stopping at the Diependal sports centre to take a picture of the trail map.

The rain was gone by now but the forest still was leaking water from its trees. It was also dark due to the heavy leaf cover and the absense of the sun. The Blue almost entirely runs through the Sonian Forest. Big wide trails through a softly undulating forest landscape. Be careful not to miss the little trail dropping to the left while following the bikepath along the E411. Entering Jezus Eik and then following the Dronkemansdreef until the trail crosses the Red route. It looked to me that there were some arrows missing, especially at the start of the Dronkemansdreef. Onto the Red and immediately a steep climb followed by a fast but tricky downhill. Making a loop and climbing back up to enter the Sonian Forest once again . A long but fast section in the forest to reach the Tervuursesteenweg leading towards Duisburg. Here the arrowing seemed to differ from the GPS track I downloaded from the Bloso site. I followed the GPS track and saw some nice singletrails whilst making my way to Pachthof Stroeykens where the Red starts. Past the Pachthof and down into Veeweide for a last section of trail leading down and upwards to where I entered the Red Bloso a couple of hours ago. Except for the rainy passage I quite enjoyed these trails. They are not among the most difficult, neither on a technical not physical level, but there are some very nice trails and singletracks. Some dangerous crossings as well and a lot of the trails can be ridden on the big ring, but be careful, you will have to downshift very fast at some sections. I rode them whilst the trails were dry and fast, but some sections are mud-prone and some cobbles here and there also make it quite dangerous and slippery when wet. Be prepared and you will have a good time on these trails. Riding back I passed again through the Doode Beemde and then along the Langendaalstraat back into Meerdael Forest. I leave you with the edited trail of the 3 Tervuren/Vossem/Duisburg BLOSO routes on EveryTrail.
