Not a drop of rain throughout the entire day and wouldn't you know, when I stood ready to ride out it started to drizzle lightly. Not to be swayed by a few drops I donned my gear, choosing long sleeves because it was only 16 degrees C and there was no sun in sight.
I settled for an easy recovery ride to digest yesterdays intenser session. Riding out over Vaalbeek and the Zoete Waters, I noticed a slight wind blowing. Some sections were a little bit moist so care had to be taken with the narrow road tyres. Paasing Nethen and Hamme Mille I was soon climbing out of Beauvechain. I tried to keep the pace easy and keep the wattage low in order to spark active recovery in my legs. Neervelp was next and the long slight downhill section felt good on the big ring. Turning left towards Bremt I had to drop the chain on the 34 again. High revs ruled. On to the Haasrode Industry area and then a last stretch along the Expressway brought me home safely. Good ride.
