Yippee, last day at work for a month so from now on it's a holiday. Time to relax and recharge my batteries. Yesterday I went to Filip Sport to have the Litespeed headbadge fitted to my Vortex. He also had the bottom bracket checked and tightened the headset. Seems I had no re-tightened it suffciently after mounting the bell. I also got me a King Cage titanium bottle holder, which saves 13 grams over the Specialized alu one. It also grabs the bottle a whole lot firmer.

So today I rode out for an easy recovery ride and to check out the Litespeeds' behaviour after this small checkup. The weather was bright and sunny and I wore my new Specialized Uracco Adaptalite road shades. I have noticed on my road ride that my other Specialized Adaptalite shades are not darkening enough in the bright sun. This is because they are mountainbike shades, and Specialized has different Adaptalite lenses for mountainbike and road use. Since the roadies experiences more and brighter conditions their shades need to photochromatize to a darker degree. I noticed this right away since the conditions were bright and sunny.

It also was quite breezy with gusts . Riding the same lap as last monday I had a much lower heartrate, due to the cooler temperatures and the supercompensation effect of a days' rest.
