Land van herkomst bepaalt in sterke mate leerresultaten van allochtone jongeren - belangrijker dan het land waar ze terecht komen. Dronkers betreurt dat men in rapportren van OESO, EU... met de factor land van herkomst geen rekening houdt.
Ook in rapporten van de Vlaamse sociologen en van de Koning Boudewijn Stichting, in standpunten van onderwijsministers en Departement, .... wordt met die invloedrijke factor geen rekening gehouden.
(Bevestiging van feit dat allochtone leerlingen uit landen als Marokko, Turkije .... overal eerder zwak prestreren en dat leerlingen uit Oost-Aziatische landen veelal goed presteren.)
