Essen 33 : Vampieren van de nacht
Vampieren van de nacht is nog eens een bigbox game van Drei magier spiele. In het vorige spel "het magische labyrinth" lag de nadruk op het memorygehalte net als in "Spokentrap". Daarnaast zijn ze natuurlijk vooral gekend voor de hele kakkerlakkenreeks waarbij je gek wordt als je de verkeerde groente eruit floept. Met "Nacht der magiërs" sloegen ze een andere weg in, ze maakten een spel dat in het donker diende gespeeld te worden en waar het vooral om behendigheid draait. Ook nu, met "Vampieren van de nacht" gaan ze die richting uit.
Vampieren van de nacht bestaat uit een, zoals gewoonlijk, erg mooi speelbord. Dit maal een volledige ruïne in 3D die moet worden opgebouwd. In de bodem van de doos staat een tombe afgebeeld waar de babyvampiertjes liggen te slapen. Op hun dak liggen allerlei fiches met knoflook die de vampierjager Knobelzobel daar heeft neergestrooid. Vampier Leo Langtand en zijn dappere kleine vleermuis gaan moedig aan het werk om alle look uit de ruïne te verwijderen. De vampier en z'n vleermuis zijn twee magneten die elkaar afstoten. Met een stokje (waaraan de vleermuis is bevestigd) duw je de vampier verder over het spelbord. Op die manier duw je de knoflookfiches weg.
Het is de bedoeling om de fiches uit de ruïne te duwen, maar pas op, want hier en daar zitten er gaten in de grond en de fiches zouden er wel eens kunnen doorvallen en bij de babyvampieren terechtkomen. Als een speler aan de beurt is, neemt hij de vleermuis en duwt hij de vampier rond over het spelbord.
Zijn beurt eindigt als zich volgende zaken voordoen : - een knoflookfiche(s) val(len)t van het spelbord : de speler neemt de fiche(s) in de hand, dit zijn punten op het einde van het spel - de vampier valt van het spelbord : de beurt is over, de vampier wordt terug in het midden van het spelbord gezet - een knoflookfiche valt in een gat : de beurt is over, de volgende speler speelt verder
Wanneer alle lookfiches van het bord zijn verwijderd, eindigt het spel. De speler die het meeste bollen knoflook heeft verzameld, wint het spel.
