The Undertaker had his knee scoped after the January 19th Smackdown tapings in Greenville, which is why he wasn't working the live events last week. Taker is going into the Royal Rumble less than 100%. The original plan had him having more of an involvement at the RAW in Knoxville last week but he was in so much pain when he arrived that all he ended up doing was the promo at the start of RAW. He did work the Smackdown tapings this past week but didn't do much.
WWE superstars Chris Jericho and Gregory Helms were arrested in Kentucky early Wednesday morning when police were called to a gas station and found the wrestlers "extremely intoxicated" and fighting.
Local newspaper The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that the two were arrested at a Shell gas station around 5:45 AM on Wednesday and charged with public alcohol intoxication. After spending about an hour in jail, they were released after each paying $120 fines.
The two had been in nearby Cincinnati, Ohio the previous night for this week's SmackDown taping.
Jericho posted the following message on Twitter hours before the arrest: "Listening to zakk Wylde and having a GG contest with Hurricane. It's the woods vs the praries. Praires are winning..." It's pure speculation, but some are guessing "GG" stands for Grey Goose (vodka).

When asked who will be his replacement as the top Mexican star in WWE when he leaves, he mentioned Dos Caras, Jr. (Alberto Banderas ring name), Super Nova (the son of El Texano) and Incognito; all of whom are in WWE's developmental system. According to Dave Meltzer, the decision has been made behind the scenes to have TNA Impact air on Monday nights full-time. It's unknown when an official announcement will be made.
The change is expected to be made in early March but it's still unknown if the show will air from 9-11 or 8-10 to give TNA an unopposed first hour.
The plan at this point is to tape shows every other week with Monday being live and a Tuesday taping airing the following Monday.
The general feeling is that the Thursday ratings don't matter and there is more potential for growth of product interest on Monday nights.

Hogan comments on Warrior/Savage joining TNA Posted by Mark Virginia on 01/27/2010 at 02:28 PM
During a recent interview with UGO.com, Hulk Hogan commented on the possibility of Ultimate Warrior and Randy "Macho Man" Savage joining TNA Wrestling.
"The Warrior is not 'alive' anymore," Hogan told UGO.com. "I did a deposition about six months ago where Vince McMahon put out a tape called The Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior. And I did a deposition. I sat in a room across from him. No other wrestler would testify. He thought I was actually going to help him, but when I told the truth...I seriously doubt he and I would ever work together again. I did tell the truth at the deposition. He's the worst. He's horrible. There's nobody worse than him in the ring. So hopefully I'll never have to see him again in the ring."
As far as Savage is concerned, despite their past differences, Hogan would love to have him on board with TNA. He feels if Savage dyed his gray beard and got back into shape, he would be good enough to return to the ring.
"I'd LOVE to see the Macho Man," Hogan said. "Dye that old gray Santa Claus beard he's got. Get back in shape. And teach these young guys how to do it because I could sure use his help. He's got a great mind for the business."
Hogan also comments on the removal of the six-sided ring (calling it "a playpen"), when exactly he should have quit wrestling, back shaving tips, and more. You can read the interview in its entirety at http://www.ugo.com/tv/hulk-hogan-interview
DDP talks about a possible return to TNA Posted by Mark Virginia on 01/27/2010 at 02:26 PM
During an interview with SLAM! Wrestling, Diamond Dallas Page said he's talked to Eric Bischoff about possibly joining TNA down the line for a short-term program and perhaps even wrestling. The former WCW World Heavyweight says he has about ten more matches left in the tank.
"Eventually I am sure at some point in time when they need a guest referee I may consider it. I want to do the Piper thing, he shows up for two months and then is gone for nine. That is the only kind of thing I want to do, and I am in the shape to still do it," Page said. "I probably have ten really good matches left in me, and I am not gonna throw them away or just put them out there. If they are willing to pay me to come back, and it behooves me, maybe."
Page briefly worked for the promotion five years ago, highlighted by a main event encounter against Jeff Jarrett at the March 2005 pay-per-view, Destination X. He said he's in good physical shape and noted that he dropped some weight from his wrestling days thanks to his Yoga For Regular Guys program.
"I am in better shape now than I was when I was in the ring. I am not as big, I have lost about 25 pounds because I don't need to carry that weight," Page said. "I am at 230 right now, but I am solid and lean and strong as f***. I can bend over and put my head between my legs, stick my foot over my head and stand one leg. Most guys can't walk around on two legs!"
The TNA Impact taping hotline for Universal Studios has been updated with March 1st and 2nd now being listed as Impact taping dates. It is looking like this will be a live Impact going against RAW. The new taping dates are not listed on TNAs website at this point.
