    Woont Karen Angle bij Jarrett?

A man claiming to work for TNA called into the Bubba the Love Sponge radio show Wednesday morning to say that Karen Angle and her children were presently living with Jeff Jarrett. The man noted that TNA president Dixie Carter was irate and threatening to fire Jarrett or buy his company stake out as a result of the situation. Bubba tried to call Kurt Angle to confirm this person's story, but he did not answer his phone.

For what it's worth, Kurt said during his memorable appearance on The Howard Stern Show back in March that Karen had an affair with a fellow TNA wrestler. Kurt claimed she'd stay out all night and later tell him she was hanging out with friends in the hotel lobby. Kurt said he cheated on her "a couple of times" while they were separated, but felt she slept around to get back at him. Kurt said he didn't want to reveal the name and seemed to be real awkward about the situation.

Karen filed for divorce from Kurt last September, which was later finalized on October 26, 2008.

John Morrison def. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk (Non-title)
    Kane def. R-Truth
David Hart Smith, Tyson Kidd & Natalya def. Cryme Tyme & Eve (Mixed Tag Team)
Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho & Dolph Ziggler def.  Jeff Hardy & Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio (Disqualification) (Tag Team)

MIAMI – Just nine explosive days before every title will be put on the line at Night of Champions, furious action and uncontainable disdain ran rampant through Friday night, as one Superstar suffered his own personal Miami vice of pain, in the form of the dreaded Walls of Jericho.

Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho & Dolph Ziggler def.  Jeff Hardy & Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio (Disqualification) (VIDEO | PHOTOS)
The animosity between the polar opposite Night of Champion opponents, World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk and Jeff Hardy, reached a new level of intensity. Hardy insisted he will become the next World Heavyweight Champion while Punk says that his pay-per-view opponent is a consummate screw-up who will never beat him (Match preview). After listening to one insult too many, Hardy abruptly ended the confrontation, knocking the World Champion to the canvas. (VIDEO | PHOTOS)

Later, in the culmination of a spectacular tag team main event, Jeff Hardy threw Jericho in The Straightedge Champion’s direction as he was sitting at the broadcast table. Punk then tossed Jericho into Hardy, knocking his Night of Champions challenger into the unforgiving steel steps disqualifying he and Rey Mysterio in the process. After the match, the smiling United Tag Team Champion hooked in the Walls of Jericho to the war-torn Charismatic No. 1 Contender while Punk looked on indifferently from outside the ring.

John Morrison def. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk (Non-title) (VIDEO | PHOTOS)
For the second time in three weeks, The Friday Night Delight used a quick counter to score a second non-title victory over World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk. After the bell, the World Champion he refused to shake hands because the last time they shook hands, Punk hit the GTS cheap shot on Morrison. Punk knows that by Morrison offering the hand, it comes with consequences.

    Kane def. R-Truth (PHOTOS)
Kane showed R-Truth “what’s up” in their first match ever, beating him with a devastating boot to the face as the energetic Superstar was coming off the top rope. But his triumph was cut short by the emergence of an irate Great Khali. As The Punjabi Playboy stomped down to the ring, R-Truth nailed The Big Red Machine with an explosive dropkick off the top rope, nearly allowing Khali to get his mighty hands on his retreating prey.

Edge vows to come back from his injury (VIDEO | PHOTOS)
With uncharacteristic apprehension, The Rated-R Superstar said that he would do everything he could to come back from the torn Achilles tendon injury that has shelved him indefinitely, and that it could very well spell the end of his career. When his former partner, Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho emerged to shoot disdain and doubt upon him, Edge pledged that “when” he does come back to the ring, he will prove Chris Jericho and all other naysayers wrong.

The Hart Dynasty def. Cryme Tyme & Eve (PHOTOS)
One day after Eve stopped Natalya from interfering in the Cryme Tyme vs. Hart Dynasty Match on “WWE Superstars” (Results), the Dungeon Diva executed an “Anvil-like” clothesline to pin her amidst mixed tag team action chaos.

    Layla’s Dance Interrupted (PHOTOS)
Former Miami Heat dancer Layla had her homecoming dance suddenly interrupted by Ricky Ortiz, who once again attempted to bring his special brand of “Rally Up!” motivation to the WWE Universe. He presented Layla with a free “Rally Up!” towel, which the insulted English Diva used to mock Ortiz before dropping it to the floor.

Former WCW star breaks his back following robbery

Former WCW star Vampiro broke his back after jumping 15 feet from his bedroom window in Mexico following after a home invasion.

The Lucha Libre legend was sleeping in his Guadalajara home when several kidnappers broke in to his property. What's bizarre is police were nearby and confronted the gang while Vampiro was still asleep. He only jumped from the window when the police burst through his door.

He suffered four broken vertebrae in his middle and lower back and re-injured two herniated discs in his neck.

    UPDATE OVER EDGE

The latest news on Edge's injury and rehab

    Credit: PWInsider.com

The reason why there’s no prognosis on Edge is because they’re waiting for him to go back in for examination after a couple weeks. After he starts rehab, about 10 days later they’ll see how he’s responding and will have a better idea of when he’ll be able to return. Achilles tendon injuries are very serious and it could take up to a year for Edge to get back close to where he was before the tendon tore.

Abyss claims he has turned down several WWE offers
Posted by Randy Gordon on 07/16/2009 at 07:01 PM

TNA wrestler Abyss says he has turned down three separate offers from the folks at WWE out of loyalty for the company that put him on international TV. Abyss, real name Chris Parks, says that WWE’s interest level in signing him to a deal was “high.”

"I've had opportunities to go there," Abyss said on the U.K. Sun's WrestleCast show. "There was high interest from WWE, but I just haven't had any interest in going. I'm one of the originals, I've been with TNA since the one year anniversary of the company, and very few people in this business can say they've been there from the beginning."

Cryme Tyme (w/ Eve) def. The Hart Dynasty (w/ Natalya)
Brie Bella (w/ Nikki Bella) def. Katie Lea Burchill
Big Show def. United States Champion Kofi Kingston

On this week’s “WWE Superstars” on WGN America, Thursday night is all about the thrill of the fight as United States Champion Kofi Kingston looks to topple Big Show, Katie Lea Burchill tries to outwit The Bella Twins, Cryme Tyme attempts to outshine The Hart Dynasty and Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio calls out Dolph Ziggler.

Don’t know where to catch “WWE Superstars”? Find WGN America in your area. Can't see “WWE Superstars” on WGN America in your area? Stay with WWE.com for full results, photos and video clips of all the action.

Cryme Tyme (w/ Eve) def. The Hart Dynasty (w/ Natalya) (PHOTOS | WATCH)
For the last few weeks, Cryme Tyme and The Hart Dynasty have been one upping each other in the ring, trying to prove who the better team is. Following an impressive victory tonight, JTG & Shad can celebrate being on top after JTG got a hot tag and left Tyson Kidd looking up at the lights with a modified backbreaker. Although, as these teams have shown each other, Cryme Tyme better keep their celebration to a minimum and keep their focus, or it will be David Hart Smith & Kidd celebrating next time.

Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio accepts Dolph Ziggler’s Night of Champion’s challenge (PHOTOS)
With a hard-fought title defense in the books last Friday, Mysterio was attacked from behind by Dolph Ziggler and on “WWE Superstars,” that was all that was on The Master of the 619’s mind. After a few moments, the Hollywood, Fla. native made his entrance, and then after a brief moment, enticed Mysterio to accept a challenge to defend the Intercontinental Title against Ziggler at Night of Champions. Accepting the challenge wasn’t all Rey wanted to do, as he lured the young brash Superstar to ringside and quickly attacked him before Ziggler could finally escape to the back. Does Mysterio have Ziggler right where he wants him? Or is The Master of the 619 playing into the Hollywood, Fla, native’s plans?

Brie Bella (w/ Nikki Bella) def. Katie Lea Burchill (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Going one-on-one with any Superstar or Diva is quite a daunting task, and when it becomes two-on-one, the odds seem insurmountable; at least that’s what Katie Lea Burchill has experienced as of late. When the English Diva seems to have the win in her hands, Brie & Nikki pull the all too familiar switch-a-roo leaving Katie back up against a fresh opponent. This week was no different either as after Brie was sent to the outside by Katie Lea, Nikki laid down next to her and claimed to be the real Brie. When the referee had to differentiate between which was which, it was Nikki who he thought was really Brie, which left Brie on the outside and Nikki, the fresh sister, on the inside to roll up Katie Lea for the win for Brie. If you think that’s confusing, you should try being the one trying to fight against them.

Big Show def. United States Champion Kofi Kingston (PHOTOS | WATCH)
In recent weeks, The World’s Largest Athlete has been trying to make several different Superstars’ lives hell, including that of The Jamaican Superstar. After Kofi came to Evan Bourne’s aid on Raw, it was only a matter of time before Big Show was going to try to even the score, and with the two going one-on-one Thursday night, The World’s Largest Athlete saw his opportunity to do just that. Despite fighting valiantly, there was no luck in this David vs. Goliath story for Kofi and when the end bell rang, it was Kingston incapacitated on the mat after Big Show flattened him with a vicious chokeslam. With Night of Champions just weeks away, we’re sure The Jamaican Superstar would love to concentrate on who he will be defending his gold against, but with no opponent yet announced, and Big Show tormenting him and his friends, that just doesn’t seem to be in the cards.

    LASHLEY TEKENT BIJ TNA

Bobby Lashley announced during an interview with ESPN Radio Wednesday that he officially signed with TNA Wrestling this past week and will be on hand for Sunday's Victory Road pay-per-view as well as next week's slate of Impact tapings.

During the interview, Lashley said: "I signed with TNA. It's a big thing because I am fighting and my main focus has been fighting and it still is. I left wrestling so abruptly a few years ago and the fans kind of threw their hands up. I left and they were like, man, what about us? I left at the top of my game. I still wanted to wrestle, but I wanted to fight, so it was like, how do you do both? I spoke with Dixie Carter, the owner of TNA, and she was really, really helpful and she wanted to give me an opportunity to give back to wrestling. With their schedule, they only do four days a month. This week, my schedule is Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and I'm done for the month and can concentrate on my fighting. It works out real well."

    MEER DETAILS OVER TERUGKEER EUGENE

More details on Eugene's return to WWE

    Credit: F4WOnline.com

As reported earlier this week, Nick Dinsmore has signed a contract to return to World Wrestling Entertainment. For those wondering, he is indeed being brought back to the main roster as Eugene as they want him to help mentor some of the younger wrestlers, not to mention add more depth to the roster.

Prior to signing on the dotted line, WWE had Dinsmore undergo an extensive drug test to prove he's clean, including providing a hair sample. WWE previously released Dinsmore on September 1, 2007 as a result of issues with painkillers. A SmackDown taping took place that day with him being notified of his release following a company meeting and promptly being escorted out of the arena by security.

    Kip Christianson WORD Eli Cottonwood

    - WWE developmental wrestler Kip Christianson is now going under the name Eli Cottonwood in Florida Championship Wrestling. He squashed Fred Rossen at last night's FCW show. Rossen is longtime indy wrestler Fred Sampson, who recently made his debut in Florida Championship Wrestling. Prior to signing a contract with WWE in May, he made several appearances over the years on television as an extra, usually as a security guard.

    UITSLAGEN TNA IMPACT 16 JULI
Klik op de afbeelding om de link te volgen

Mick comes out to the ring. He feels naked without the belt. He knows that the last thing any of us want is to see Mick naked, so he'll do his best to win the belt back on Sunday. The title is more than just a piece of hardware, since, as we all know, as goes the champion so goes TNA. When Kurt won the title at the King of the Mountain Match—without ever really beating him—the company started to go a different direction. Mick knows it's not generally the place of the challenger to ask favors of the champion, but he's going to do so here. He asks Kurt to come down to the ring unaccompanied, and Kurt complies. Mick reminds Kurt of how he made fun of Mick for crying when he lost the title. Mick wears his heart on his sleeve, so that kind of hurt, but he knew Kurt was telling mind games, so he let it slide. Then they had him wrapped in barbed wire, and he knew they could have torn him to shreds, but they didn't—he knew he was sending him a message, so he let it slide. But last week, when Mick Foley was in the Angle Lock and was clearly yelling "no no no" Kurt's hand-picked referee Eric Young claimed he'd tapped out. Mick's lost a lot of things over the years, but he's no quitter—he remembers the last time he tapped out 18 years ago to Dory Funk Jr., and it still makes him sick. Mick knows he'll be up against not just the greatest wrestler today, but possibly the greatest of all time. He might not have what it takes to one, but Kurt should not expect him to tap out. As to favor #2, Mick appreciates that Kurt came out alone to the ring tonight, and Mick wants him to show that same respect on Sunday. He'll leave his security in the back, Kurt leaves behind the MEM, and they'll see who the real TNA champion is. Kurt says that the reason he runs with the Mafia is that they believe in the same things, which, ironically, Mick believes in too. It's not just about the money. Kurt's sick of all these young punks who get paid too much and then take the night off because of a blister. Mick knows what it's like to work hurt day in and day out. These kids are trying to change the business, and the MEM is fighting for it to be what it always was. Kurt's fighting a battle for Mick and Jeff and TNA. Kurt sounds almost like a face for a moment, which apparently is enough to draw out the Stinger. He hits the entranceway, skeptical about what he just heard. It's the same bull Kurt fed him when he first persuaded him to join the MEM, but it was really all about the money and the backstabbing. Mick's right when he says the direction of TNA will be determined Sunday—Sting will be busy with his own agenda, taking Joe and his "handler" up one side and down the other. But that's Sunday, and Sting wants a favor from Mick tonight. One last time, in that ring, he wants Kurt Angle. Mick starts to respond hesitatingly, but Kurt cuts him off. He says that Mick says yes, and not only that, but he's adding a tweak—it'll be in the six sides of steel. Kurt is almost literally foaming at the mouth. That was a really good segment, both setting up the feud for the PPV and laying the groundwork for Sting-Angle.

Tonight we'll see the Six Sides of Steel, Amazing Red vs. Samoa Joe, the debut of Sarita, and the MEM vs. Beer Money & AJ Styles. I know a lot of folk don't like unannounced matches, but I much prefer retaining the feel that anything can happen—even Sting-Angle in a cage. This was a solid opening.

In the back, Joe is tossing Amazing Red around. Don West says that clearly Red must have done something to provoke Joe.

    [Commercial Break]

    (1) SAMOA JOE vs. AMAZING RED
Joe is still beating down Red, knocking him all the way down the ramp with a Superkick. West talks about how Red's always been a smart ass. Joe flips Red over with a Decapitator Clothesline then rolls him into the ring. Joe lays in with stomps in the corner. The ref tries to pull him off, so Joe knocks him across the ring. That's enough to draw the DQ.

WINNER: Amazing Red in about 45 seconds. I'd object to the beating, but I'll just take an Amazing Red victory over Samoa Joe.

Joe hits a Muscle Buster on Red and continues the beatdown. Three members of TNA security hit the ring with nightsticks, but they seem a lot more scared then Joe. He makes them jump a little, then just leaves.

Joe tells us to cross the line, and that he will become.

Lauren is in the back with Sarita, who's been preparing for this for a long time. She'll be wrestling another newcomer, Alyssa Flash, but neither of them knows anything about her. How awesome would it be if they debuted Trish Stratus that way, after weeks of hyping Sarita? Yeah, I know it's just some jobber. Sarita says something in Spanish. If I'm not mistaken, it had something to do with playing my chicken…I'm probably mistaken.

    [Commercial Break]

We recap the Sharmell-Jenna "feud." I don't know why either. It will be worth it though if Sharmell's willing to take an Awesome Bomb at Victory Road. Earlier today Don West had a sit down with Sharmell, Sojourner Truth, Jenna Morasca, Raesha Saeed, and Awesome Kong. West points out that from his perspective, Sharmell's the instigator here. Why did Sharmell get her claws out right away? Sharmell says it should be obvious. She was the first, and only, woman in the Main Even Mafia, and suddenly some skinny-ass white girl comes in, disrespects her place, and never even apologizes. West turns to Jenna and says that yes, first, she could put on a few pounds. Okay, that was kind of awesome. She points out that she was invited into the MEM locker room by Kevin Nash, and acted like a lady—she just didn't have a lady to deal with. West points out that Sharmell has an obvious advantage being married to Booker T—she clearly knows her way around the ring. Jenna mutters that she knows the way around a lot more than that, but West calms everyone down. Sharmell starts talking about the Booker T Academy. Jenna says something about a cheap hoe, and everyone jumps up. West calms everyone down again. He respects how Jenna won Survivor (Jenna says that Sharmell wouldn't have lasted one day in the Amazon), but doesn't know how she thinks she can defeat Sharmell. She says the answer's simple, and points to Awesome Kong. That makes Sojourner Bolt angry, and this time West can't calm everyone down.

Suicide is preparing for his match, apparently by sitting in a cage.

    [Commercial Break]

JB is in the back with Kurt Angle, who he says he probably knows pretty well. Angle seems annoyed to have to say yes. JB runs over their time together, then says that he doesn't understand what Angle's thinking with tonight's main event. He wants to know what Kurt is up to. Kurt laughs off the question—he only wants to prove to Sting and everyone else that he's the real icon in TNA. JB wants to know if Kurt has any final thoughts on his match Sunday. Kurt says that Mick was absolutely right when he says that the future of TNA depends entirely on Victory Road, and for the MEM to take control they'll have to win "all the titles." Kurt counts the Legends' Title but not the X Division Championship? That's sad. Kurt says that after they win all three of their title matches, next week even JB will be calling him boss. I could be wrong, but I think he already called Kurt boss while he was a de facto member of the Angle Alliance.

    (2) CHRIS SABIN (w/ALEX SHELLEY) vs. SUICIDE
Suicide just walks in through the crowd—his entrances really are just getting lazier and lazier. Soon he'll be coming down to the ring on a beer cart with James Storm. He starts things off with an Arm Drag on Sabin, but Sabin comes back with one of his own. They trade quick chops, Suicide flips over Sabin's back, takes him to the mat, and locks in a modified arm bar. Sabin flips him over, but Suicide keeps his grip. Sabin gets to his feet, but Suicide drives off the corner turnbuckle and maintains the hold. Eventually Sabin gets to the ropes. Shelley grabs Suicide's legs from the outside—Suicide stomps on his fingers, but the distraction is enough for Sabin to hit a driving dropkick. Sabin takes Suicide over to the ropes—Shelley goes for the mask, then gives up and just kicks Suicide in the head. A cover gets two. Sabin tries to hit a Flying Forearm off the top rope, but Suicide dodges and comes back with a series of clotheslines and his weird Inverted DDT. Sabin rolls to the apron, but Suicide slingshots him back in and Diamond Cutters him in mid-air for a long two count. Suicide whiffs on a clothesline, and Sabin takes him down with an Ensuguri. Sabin comes off the ropes. Suicide catches him in an Oklahoma Roll and flips over the top rope onto Shelley in one smooth motion. As he comes into the ring though, Sabin catches him with a Roll of the Dice DDT for two. Suicide blocks an attempted Cradle Shock, but eats a high kick to the face. Sabin puts him in a Tree of Woe, but when he goes for the Hesitation Dropkick Suicide blocks it and drives his head into the middle turnbuckle. He hits the Suicide Solution and it's over.

WINNER: Suicide in five minutes. This was an awesome match, though it again makes one wonder about the decision making abilities of whoever took away from this to push Sharmell-Jenna.

After the match Shelley attacks from behind. Sabin gets a steel chair. As Shelley puts him in a Surfboard Sabin slides the chair under his chin and Leg Drops Suicide onto the chair from the top rope. Homicide runs down and wards off the Motor City Machine Guns. He notices the belt, and suddenly remembers that he's holding the Feast or Fired briefcase. He toys with both for a moment, then calls for a bell.

    (3) HOMICIDE vs. SUICIDE
    X Division Championship Match
Homicide goes for a quick cover, but Suicide kicks out at two. Suicide comes back with right hands, but he stumbles. That enough of a window for Homicide to nail The Gringo Killer, and no one kicks out of that.

WINNER (and NEW X Division Champion): Homicide in 1 minute. Remember how I said I liked the feeling that anything can happen? This was a work of art.

The Beautiful People are walking around in the back. Angelina Love is in a beekeeper's suit.

    [Commercial Break]

Lauren is in the back with Homicide. I'm still excited. She wants to know if the way he won it is a bit questionable. He says that he didn't make the rules, he just used them. He invites "snowflake" to drink some tequilas with him to celebrate. She begs off—he acts offended that she won't date a Latino, then laughs, says it's cool, and grabs her hand anyway. He gives a shout-out to Brooklyn, then leads Lauren away by the hand.

The Beautiful People hit the ring. Somehow the beekeeper's suit is still almost skin tight. Love says that she put in a complaint to "PETER" for a certain Knockout's use of an animal. Tara is an ugly freak, and there's not enough room for her in TNA. She should also know that The Beautiful People do not recognize Tara as champion. It wasn't a recognized match last week, since there was no contract. However, Love will give her another official shot at the title on Sunday. Tara hits the entranceway, and points out that the name on the belt indicates she is the official champion. If they don't believe it, they'll prove it again on Sunday. As for Poison, they shouldn't worry about her. Poison only likes dark places. For example, earlier today she snuck into the Beautiful People's dressing room and decided that Love's new beekeeper suit would be a perfet place for Poison to take a nap. Love starts freaking out, but Tara recommends she doesn't move around too much—if she barks, Poison bites. She starts barking a bit, and Love starts rolling around on the canvas. Tara runs into the ring and hits her with a quick Widow's Peak. I seriously don't get why she's the face here.

    [Commercial Break]

    (4) SARITA vs. ALISSA FLASH
Alissa is not, in fact, Trish Stratus, though she does have her own music. She also has a bit of personality, as she insists that she wants to be known as the future legend. Sarita is listed as originally from Winnipeg, so I can only assume that she's one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Flash spits her gum at Sarita and comes after her with punches to start. Sarita comes back with some chops to the chest, and—(deep breath): climbs from the middle rope to the top rope, jumps 180 degrees around while on the top rope, then comes back down with a huge Arm Drag. Hole. E. Shit. She dropkicks Flash out to the floor and follows her out with a Suicide Dive. The crowd is pleased. As Sarita tries to take Flash back into the ring, Flash shoves her into the ring post and Body Slams her onto the canvas. She breaks up the count, then kicks Sarita into the guardrail. She rolls Sarita into the ring and lays in with some stomps. She hits another Body Slam, which barely gets a two count. Sarita comes up firing with quick punches to the abdomen. Flash shoves her back into the corner, climbs to the top rope and kicks Sarita a few times in the side of the head. She tries to whip Sarita into the corner, but Sarita jumps to the top and comes back with a Cross Body Block for two. Flash stops her rally with a quick Decapitator Clothesline, then uses Sarita's own arms to choke her. She goes for a couple of hip tosses, but Sarita lands on her feet and goes for a Rolling Arm Bar. Flash locks her arms and breaks it up. She looks for a Bow and Arrow, but settles for a stomp to Sarita's back that gets two. Flash sets up for a Vertical Suplex, Sarita reverses into an attempted Backslide, but Flash re-verses into a Back Drop for two. Sarita gets up fighting. She goes for a Mysterio-style Wheelbarrow Face Plant, but it's reversed into a straight Wheelbarrow Toss that whacks her head against the top turnbuckle. Sarita again kicks out at two. Flash looks for a Pile Driver, but it's reversed into a Victory Roll for the 1-2-3.

WINNER: Sarita in six minutes. That was only six minutes long, with two people we've never seen, one who we've never heard of…and was quite possible the best Impact match in months. I am pleasantly surprised. **1/2

After the match Sarita goes for a handshake, but Flash just nails her with her finisher. It's apparently a Power Slam, not a Pile Driver—my bad. That might have just been the most unexpected debut since Taylor Wilde last year—simply incredible.

    [Commercial Break]

Lauren is in the back with AJ Styles. I guess the tequilas didn't go well. She can't imagine what he's going through, since he still has issues with Joe, has a tag team match today along with a team he doesn't even know he can trust, and has a Legends' Championship defense against Kevin Nash on Sunday. He agrees that everything she said is true. He draws attention to Nash's promo about his history in the business changing companies. Well he did change them—for the worse. TNA was better off without him. For Nash it's all about the money, but AJ swears to G-d he'd wrestle for free, for the love of the game. Well, on Sunday night Kevin Nash cashes his last paycheck. I just realized—AJ might not be the best promo artist in the world, but he might very well be the most underrated. He can always make a feud, even when there's really nothing there (as in this case).

    (5) KEVIN NASH (w/JENNA MORASCA), SCOTT STEINER, & BOOKER T (w/SHARMELL) vs. BEER MONEY INC. & AJ STYLES
    Tag Team Elimination Match
I guess the crowd agrees with me regarding AJ's promo, as they're going nuts for him the moment he comes out. Steiner starts things off with an arm wrench on AJ, which he segues into a side headlock. AJ shoots him off, but Steiner comes back with a shoulder block. Steiner comes off the ropes again, but this time is floored by a back elbow. AJ hits a standing Knee Drop, and tags in Robert Roode. Steiner whips Roode into the corner, but Roode floats over him, knocks him down, and nails the Throwback. Booker T tags in, but walks immediately into a Drop Toe Hold. Storm tags in, and they immediately hit the Beer Money Suplex on Booker. Nash and AJ tag in. Beer Money tee off on Nash for a second, so which enables AJ to nail a big Flying Forearm. Steiner and Booker both break up the count at two. Beer Money and Booker & Steiner fight to the outside. In the ring, Nash hits a poke to the eye and a quick Jacknife for 3. Really? Roode comes in as the next legal slam, but eats a Side Slam for two. Steiner tags in, and works over Roode with some chops and clotheslines. He hits his push-up Elbow Drop. Booker tags in, and continues working over Roode's torso with strikes. Roode ducks an attempted Leg Lariat and comes back with some punches, but then Booker reverses an attempted Back Body Drop. Booker looks for another Leg Lariat, and this time gets nothing but top-rope. As Booker tags in Steiner, Roode gets in the tag to Storm, who takes it to all three members of the MEM. He hits a Back Stabber on Steiner, but Nash breaks up the count. Storm kicks Nash in the back of the head, and Roode fights him to the outside. Storm goes to the top rope, but Booker trips him up from the outside. Steiner hits a quick Flatliner for the elimination.

    [Commercial Break]

When this match started, I can honestly say that I did not expect Robert Roode to be the last man standing for his team. Roode is somehow in control when we get back. That's weird. He hits all three of his opponents with clotheslines, but eventually gets caught by a Bookend. Booker pulls him up after two and kicks him in the head. Steiner tags in and stomps on Roode a bit. He hits a Do-Se-Do Suplex and rests a single finger on Roode, who kicks out at two. Nash tags in and hits his high knees and elbow shots in the corner. He clotheslines Roode down to the mat and goes for a cover, but Roode kicks out at two. Booker and Steiner seem annoyed. When the ref goes to deal with them Roode nails Nash with a low blow—the ref turns around just in time to count the three. Steiner comes in and hits a quick Release Overhead Belly-to-Belly Suplex. He whiffs on an attempted Elbow Drop, but Nash grabs Roode's leg from the outside to keep him from rallying. Storm runs down to deal with Nash, but gets cut off by Matt Morgan. In the ring, Steiner and Booker whip Roode off into the ropes, but Roode ducks below them and comes back with a Double Clothesline. He ducks an attempted clothesline from Steiner, which connects to Booker. He hits Steiner with an Inverted Atomic Drop and a high dropkick, forearms Booker T down to the mat, then gets Steiner with a Neck Breaker. Booker tries to punch back, but Roode nails with a Spine Buster that Steiner has to break up at two. Steiner sets Roode up on the top rope, but Roode fights him off and comes back with a Float over Neck Breaker. Booker attacks and tries to hit the Axe Kick, but Roode dodges and hits a quick Pay Off. It looks like it should have three, but Sharmell has the ref distracted. Roode goes get her off the apron. He turns right into the arms of Steiner, who holds him up for Booker to nail with a high Leg Lariat for the three count.

WINNERS: The Main Event Mafia in 15 minutes. I don't even know what show I'm watching anymore. **

The MEM celebrate in the ring, but then Sharmell and Jenna quickly come to blows.

    [Commercial Break]

JB is in the back with Team 3D. First he pushed TNA's twitter account. He points out that Team 3D brought The British Invasion into TNA for their tournament. Devon supposes that's just how those bitches roll on the other side of the pond. But the truth is that when you swim in it, you drown in it. I don't know what that means. They actually thought that The British Invasion had potential, with their size and skills. But they have the same problem that Beer Money did before they ran into Team 3D. Ray yells about them costing Team 3D the tag team titles, and swears that they'll get revenge. The British Invasion come by, looking amused. They say that for once they agree with Team 3D about something, since they're looking forward to their match on Sunday too. In fact, they just signed the contract in Mick Foley's office, where they added one of his signature tweaks by putting the IWGA titles on the line. They ask Rob Terry what he thinks, and he flexes his muscles. He might just be the greatest promo artist of all time. Team 3D jump The British Invasion and security pulls them apart.

We run down the card for Victory Road.

Sting tells us to cross the line, and that he will become.

Lauren is—somewhere?—with Abyss. He's so sorry for what happened, and will never let anyone hurt her again. He then addresses Dr. Stevie, who tased him, beat him, and drugged him. That's how they treat animals. He knows, since he saw it on a documentary once. But he's not an animal; what he is is a pissed off monster. For years Dr. Stevie tried to get him to get over his lust for pain, but he failed. Abyss brings out a bag of tacks. Throughout the rest of the promo, he pulls them out one by one and drives them into his arm. Abyss doesn't need therapy anymore, and he doesn't need the white scrubs. He'll be filling one last prescription, and it's for a Dr. Stevie ass-kicking. On Sunday they'll have one last session, and this time, it's on Abyss. The tacks were incredibly creepy.

    [Commercial Break]

Jeff Jarrett joins the commentary booth. I can see how Jarrett, who's wrestling Eric Young Sunday, would want to comment on a match between Kurt Angle, who's wrestling Mick Foley Sunday, versus Sting, who's wrestling against Samoa Joe Sunday. I'm very confused.

    (6) STING vs. KURT ANGLE
    Six Sides of Steel
Sting starts things off with a side headlock on Kurt. He gets shot off into the ropes, but comes back with a shoulder block. Sting and Kurt trade go-behinds, with Sting eventually getting the gut wrench and the Front Chancery. Kurt rolls out and into a hammerlock on Sting. Sting elbows him off and starts whacking him in the corner. Kurt gets some distance and whips Sting into the opposite corner, but when he tries to follow Sting gets up a leg. He hits a quick Suplex for two. Angle gets up swinging, then drives Sting face first into the steel cage. Jarrett, on commentary, is doing a good job putting over the PPV.

    [Commercial Break]

I get the feeling they're testing whether these two can still main event Bound for Glory after their lackluster performance at Destination X. Angle is still tossing Sting around the cage when we get back. Those could not have been a pleasant few minutes for Sting. Kurt stomps him some in the corner, then foolishly stands him up in the middle of the ring for a punch. Sting starts firing back. Kurt charges, and Sting lifts him up and face first into the cage. Sting follows up with a Stinger Splash. He looks for a Scorpion Death Drop, but gets shoved off into the corner. He bounces off the corner firing, the bounces Kurt around the cage a few times. A cover gets what looks a lot like three. Angle goes-behind and hits a German Suplex out of nowhere, then drops the straps. He goes for an Olympic Slam, but it's reversed into an Arm Drag. Sting locks in the Scorpion Death Lock in the corner. Suddenly we cut to Samoa Joe ambushing Jeff Jarrett. He attacks the ref on the outside, steals the key to the cage, enters, then chains it shut. Sting sees what's happening and ominously looms behind Joe. Joe turns around into some punches and a Scorpion Death Lock. Suddenly the lights go out. "FTW" appears on the screen!!! When the lights come back there's a night stick in the ring, the ref is down, and Sting's in the Kokido Clutch. Jarrett and Mick Foley come down to the ring, but when they try to scale the cage they're cut off by the rest of the MEM. As the show goes off the air Foley, Sting, and Jarrett are all having their heads handed to them by the Main Event Mafia.

Vladimir Kozlov def. ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer (Non-title)
    Shelton Benjamin def. Christian
    Yoshi Tatsu def. Paul Burchill
    Zack Ryder def. Goldust
    Sheamus def. local competitor

MIAMI – In less than two weeks, Tommy Dreamer will defend the ECW Title at Night of Champions against Christian. (Match preview) But one Extreme Superstar keeps stepping in the way of both the ECW Original and Captain Charisma, and that’s the unstoppable Vladimir Kozlov.

Vladimir Kozlov def. ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer (Non-title) (PHOTOS | WATCH)
He may not be the No. 1 contender to the ECW Championship, but Vladimir Kozlov has proven he’s a force to be reckoned with and isn’t backing down from any Extreme Superstar. The Moscow Mauler defeated ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer on Tuesday’s ECW on Syfy with a vicious Iron Curtain.

After the main event, as Kozlov continued his assault on Dreamer, an angry Christian stormed into the ring to attack Kozlov. Captain Charisma sought retribution for Kozlov’s distraction earlier in the night during his match against Shelton Benjamin. But Christian’s attack accidentally knocked down Dreamer, and Kozlov – still fuming because he lost No. 1 contendership the week before to Christian – turned his focus on Captain Charisma. The Sambo master leveled Christian, leaving the Night of Champions opponents helpless in the ring as Kozlov exited with a menacing smile on his face.

    Shelton Benjamin def. Christian (PHOTOS)
Earlier on ECW on Syfy, Christian was defeated by Shelton Benjamin after Vladimir Kozlov joined the ECW announce team. The Soviet War Machine’s presence was enough to distract the No. 1 contender to allow Benjamin to hit Paydirt and pin Captain Charisma. Kozlov said he accidentally lost last week, and he could beat Christian or Dreamer, anytime, anywhere. Will Kozlov factor into the ECW Championship Match at Night of Champions?

Yoshi Tatsu def. Paul Burchill (PHOTOS | WATCH)
ECW newcomer Yoshi Tatsu defeated Paul Burchill in the Land of the Extreme this week, giving the Japanese Superstar his second victory since his arrival via the New Superstar Initiative. An impressive Tatsu overcame adversity and had a little luck on his side during the match. Moments after Tatsu slipped off the top rope, Burchill argued a call with the referee and turned his back, allowing Tatsu to land a high kick on “The Ripper,” knocking him down for the pin and the victory. Will Burchill seek revenge for his loss to the Japanese newcomer?

    Zack Ryder def. Goldust (PHOTOS)
Goldust made his ECW debut Tuesday night against Zack Ryder. One of the most bizarre Superstars in WWE history, Goldust arrived in the Land of the Extreme via Donald Trump’s blockbuster trade. Ryder gave the Golden One a rude welcome, and defeated him with a Zack Attack. Will Goldust seek retribution against the braggadocios Ryder?

    Sheamus def. local competitor (PHOTOS)
ECW’s new Celtic Warrior, Sheamus, returned to the Land of the Extreme this week with another impressive victory over a local competitor, pinning him after a modified Yurinagi into a Backbreaker. Sheamus arrived on ECW as part of the New Superstar Initiative. He’s said he’s come to plant the flag of great Irish tradition and he plans to dominate ECW. Who will face the Celtic Warrior in the weeks to come?

Gregory Helms interviews Ezekiel Jackson (WATCH)
In an exclusive interview on the ECW set, Ezekiel Jackson explained to Gregory Helms that he was in no rush to make his ECW debut because there’s only once chance to make a first impression. Helms asked Jackson if he felt he needed to step out of the shadow of his former associate, The Brian Kendrick – a question that seriously angered the ECW newcomer. “The most important person right now is me, Ezekiel Jackson,” he said. When will the WWE Universe see Jackson in action again on ECW?

    Next week on ECW
ECW General Manager Tiffany has been impressed by Tyler Reks’ “WWE Superstars” matches, so she’s decided he’ll see action on ECW on Syfy next week. Also, tune in to see ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer and his Night of Champions opponent, Christian, on next week’s “Abraham Washington Show” on ECW.

Booker T comments on Taz/Kennedy in TNA

Booker T comments on Taz/Kennedy in TNA

Booker T was a guest on this week's Monday Night Mayhem radio show. The TNA star talked about the Main Event Mafia, his time in WCW, WWE and more. When asked about the prospect of Taz and Ken Anderson (Mr. Kennedy) coming to TNA, he said:

"The addition to TNA will be great for those guys who make an appearance here. I really don't know the status of either of those guys are, but I would welcome Kennedy, Anderson...whatever he calls himself. I would welcome Taz to TNA. TNA is a growing company, the new thing on the block. A lot of time people want to check out the new flavor and see what this new thing is all about."

Goldberg gets asked if he will wrestle again

Michael Him sent the following yesterday:

During the second segment of today’s TMZ they have an interview with former WCW Champion Bill Goldberg that goes a little something like this:

TMZ: “You ever going to get back in the ring again?”
Goldberg: “Indies I would do in a heartbeat, but I wouldn’t work for Vince McMahon if he was the last motherf—-r on earth”.

They then transition into a shot of Harvey Levin (the show’s host) asking what Vince did to piss off big Bill. No real answer is given by the staff except to add “a lot of people seem pissed at Vince I wonder why that is?”.

    WWE RAW rating (updated)

    Credit: PWTorch.com

Last night's episode of Monday Night RAW scored a 3.5 cable rating, down from the previous week's 3.6 figure.

In a correction from earlier, it was actually the second hour that did 3.77 whereas the first hour drew a 3.32. So the rating did increase during the show and also keep in mind that RAW was up against the Home Run Derby.

    Dark Match:

Sheamus beat Drew McIntyre. McIntyre is from FCW who was there for a tryout before a large audience.

What you didn't see on RAW this week

    Thanks to Chris Bentubo:

After Raw went off the air, Big Show came out and said he was tired of both John Cena & Triple H. He said he's going to show them why call him ‘Big Show.' Show takes them both out and picks up Seth Green and attempts to chokeslam him. Cena & Hunter reverse it with a double suplex. Seth, Hunter, & Cena all do the ‘5 knuckle shuffle'.' Cena hits the attitude adjustment. Hunter and Seth finish things off with a crotch chop.

Big Show got up and Triple H gave him the ‘You Can't See Me' hang gesture while Cena did the crotch chop. Seth did a ‘Hogan-style' pose and pushed Show over with one finger.

    Biggest Pops:
    * John Cena

    Most Heat:
    * Chris Jericho

CYBER SUNDAY VERANDERT OPNIEUW VAN NAAM

WWE's 10/25 PPV was originally titled Cyber Sunday. According to sources, the buyrates for the fan-voting concept kept dropping and they scrapped the interactive idea and the name of the show was changed to Annihilation. Then, reportedly because some people in management didn't like that name, WWE changed the title back to Cyber Sunday again last week. Well, it's been changed again.

WWE.com now has a page up for the show and the new name is "WWE Bragging Rights".

    Big Show def. Evan Bourne
    Hornswoggle def. Chavo Guerrero
Mark Henry def. Jericho by count-out
    Jack Swagger def. MVP
    The Miz def. Primo
Divas Champion Maryse, Rosa Mendes & Alicia Fox def. Mickie James, Kelly Kelly & Gail Kim in a Six-Diva Summer Swimsuit Spectacular Tag Team Match

ORLANDO, Fla. – With Raw continuing in its series of special guest hosts, the WWE Universe was treated to the presence of Seth Green, famed actor and co-creator of Robot Chicken. Green took control of every aspect of the Monday night program, making numerous matches, including a Six-Diva Summer Swimsuit Spectacular Tag Team Match, and a massive main event tag team match, in which the host also competed. (For details regarding Green's "Robot Chicken on Wheels" tour, click here.)

And as if this week wasn't excitement enough, it was revealed that new week's Raw would be hosted by Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill of the legendary rock group ZZ Top. (STORY)

Seth Green, John Cena & Triple H vs. The Legacy ended in a no contest (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Seth Green appeared on Raw brimming with confidence due to the Robot Chicken Star Wars Episode II DVD’s release right around the corner on July 21, and the show’s season premiere airing on Sunday, July 26 at 11:30 p.m. ET (right after Night of Champions on pay-per-view). But, after receiving a disconcerting pep-talk from John Cena and Triple H (both rivals for the WWE Title), Seth Green was apprehensive going into a tag team match against WWE Champion Randy Orton, Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes.

Despite ongoing friction between Cena and The Game, the team held it together, with Green even getting a shot in on Rhodes. Later, when the tables had turned in Legacy’s favor, it was Raw’s special guest host who dove in, breaking up Orton’s pin of Triple H. But The Viper didn’t take kindly to Green’s involvement, attacking him and lining him up for his infamous punt. Just in the nick of time, however, John Cena rushed into the ring, defending his celebrity partner, fighting with all of Legacy before The Game joined the melee with his trusty sledgehammer.

After clearing the ring of Orton and his minions, Triple H stopped short of attacking Cena and the Night of Champions opponents shared a heated standoff. The tension was then broken by Green himself, and the three shared an in-ring celebration.

Big Show def. Evan Bourne; United States Champion Kofi Kingston attacked The World’s Largest Athlete (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Having told Seth Green to watch how smaller competitors fare in the WWE ring, Big Show took to the ring ready to deal out some serious damage to Evan Bourne. The World’s Largest Athlete proceeded to ground “Air” Bourne with his Colossal Clutch, refusing to release the high-flyer even after the bell was rung. Rushing to Bourne’s aide, United States Champion Kofi Kingston, who had been seated at the commentary table, executed a well-placed kick to the back of Big Show’s head. The Jamaican Superstar followed up with a dropkick that sent The World’s Largest Athlete stumbling out of the ring.

    Hornswoggle def. Chavo Guerrero (PHOTOS)
As announced earlier in the evening by Raw’s special guest host, Seth Green, Chavo Guerrero was set to once again face Hornswoggle, after losing to the diminutive Superstar just days before on “WWE Superstars.” This time, however, the self-proclaimed “Mexican Warrior” was forced to compete with one hand literally tied behind his back. Whether because of this handicap, or simply due to the leprechaun’s superior technique, Hornswoggle defeated his opponent with an inside cradle.

Chris Jericho will announce his new partner at Night of Champions, where they will defend the Unified Tag Team Titles; Mark Henry def. Jericho by count-out (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho appeared on Raw to address the status of his tag team partner, Edge, and their Unified Tag Team Titles. As the WWE Universe was already aware, The Rated-R Superstar suffered a tear in his Achilles tendon, necessitating surgery. With The Ultimate Opportunist out of commission, the arrogant Jericho revealed that his contract had been written to allow him the opportunity to choose a new partner in the event of Edge’s injury. Though he refrained from naming the Superstar on Raw, Jericho promised he would make the announcement at Night of Champions before the two defend their titles against Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase of The Legacy.

Before the loquacious Superstar could continue, he was interrupted by Mark Henry, who claimed to be Jericho’s opponent. Clotheslining the first-ever Undisputed Champion and tearing his suit off, Henry continued to attack Jericho as it was announced that Raw’s special guest host, Seth Green had made this an official match – perhaps as retaliation for the earlier browbeating he received from Jericho. The nefarious Superstar refused to compete, however, exiting the ring and allowing the match to end by count-out.

Jack Swagger def. MVP (PHOTOS | WATCH)
The week before on Raw, MVP and Jack Swagger came dangerously close to throwing down in the midst of The VIP Lounge. However, after disrespecting The Ballin’ Superstar, "The All-American American” simply walked away, refusing to fight. But when Swagger stepped into the ring this week, he was ready to go, utilizing his extensive amateur wrestling background to pin Montel Vontavious Porter.

The Miz def. Primo; Carlito attacked his brother (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Primo came to the ring to call out his brother Carlito, who had attacked his sibling following their loss to Unified Tag Team Champions Edge & Chris Jericho on the previous Raw. To the former tag champion’s dismay however, it wasn’t Carlito who emerged, but rather The Miz. Announcing that Divas Champion Maryse was most likely watching, the self-proclaimed “chick magnet” fought fiendishly against his opponent, but in the end, it was a distraction from Carlito that allowed Miz to pick up the win. Following the match, The Southpaw from San Juan climbed into the ring, viciously attacking before spitting his signature apple into his brother’s face.

Divas Champion Maryse, Rosa Mendes & Alicia Fox def. Mickie James, Kelly Kelly & Gail Kim in a Six-Diva Summer Swimsuit Spectacular Tag Team Match (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Displaying their finest summer swimsuits, the sexy, smart and powerful team of Mickie James, Kelly Kelly & Gail Kim came to the ring to face Divas Champion Maryse, Rosa Mendes & Alicia Fox. Though Maryse seemed to be intimidated by Mickie James in recent weeks, the Divas Champion sent a clear message to her Night of Champions opponent by pinning her to win the match for her team.

Raw’s special guest host, Seth Green, announced a Six-Diva Summer Swimsuit Spectacular Tag Team Match and a Six-Man Tag Team Match with himself, Triple H & John Cena facing WWE Champion Randy Orton & The Legacy. (PHOTOS)
Triple H opened Monday Night Raw by announcing the show’s special guest host, television and film star and co-creator of the hit show Robot Chicken on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, Seth Green. The multi-talented Green’s first order of business was to announce the night’s first match, a Six-Diva Summer Swimsuit Spectacular Tag Team Match.

After Green broke the news of the crowd-pleasing contest, Triple H gave the WWE Universe something else to be excited about, reminding our fans of Robot Chicken’s season premiere on Sunday, July 26 at 11:30 p.m. ET, directly following Night of Champions on pay-per-view. The Adult Swim show will even be having a special guest of its own, as The Game himself appears in action figure form to take on child actress Dakota Fanning.

The two were then joined in the ring by WWE Champion Randy Orton, who demanded that Green put both his Night of Champions opponents, Triple H and John Cena, in 3-on-1 Handicap Matches. When Raw’s special guest host resisted, in spite of The Viper’s threats, Orton suggested another match: The Game & Cena vs. The Legacy. While Green didn’t grant The Legend Killer’s wish exactly, he came close, setting a Six-Man Tag Team Match with Orton & The Legacy facing Triple H, John Cena & Seth Green, himself.

KANS MINIEM DAT HOGAN NAAR TNA GAAT

The chances of Hulk Hogan actually making a TNA debut are said to be slim to none. Hogan wants a ton of money to come in and TNA really doesn't want to pay his asking price. There have also been no talks between Hogan and TNA in recent weeks or months.

This is Hogan's typical way of getting his name back in the media. He does this every year before WrestleMania as well
