Former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis appeared on Monday Night Mayhem, which airs every Monday at 7:00 p.m. via MondayNightMayhem.com. Highlights from her interview are as follows:
The importance of giving back to the Make-A-Wish Foundation as part of her return to Nashville for Crossfire Entertainment's benefit event on August 20th: How excited in Maria for the event in Nashville, Tennessee coming up on Saturday August 20th: "I'm so excited to do it, because I always enjoyed doing the Make-A-Wish Foundation events. I did it when I was on 'Celebrity Apprentice, and I made some money for them when I was there. It's just an incredible foundation. I'm excited for the event."
What she feels has been her key to success since leaving the WWE and succeeding in areas that others have failed: "I'm hungry for knowledge. I'm hungry for success. I'm hungry for what comes next. Once you lose that hunger, it's when you fall short and you go stale. Maybe it's not the easiest thing in the world. I tried music, and I love music. I love to write, but maybe that's not for me. I'm going to keep going with it and see what happens. But at the same time, I'm doing that. I'm doing something different everyday."
Why she believes that CM Punk resonates with today's fans and why now is "The Era of Punk": "I think Punk is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, in wrestling right now and for a while now. I love The Rock, and I love 'Stone Cold,' but right now is 'The Era of Punk.' He's incredible. I'm so happy for him to be doing exactly what he enjoys doing, and that's to be honest and to be straight edge. I think it's incredible for him. Punk does not care about the show. He does not care the pyro, and the fanfare, and 'Let me put on a fancy suit and let me look perfect everywhere I go.' What he cares about is wrestling. He cares about the wrestling business. He wants integrity in the wrestling business, and that is why it resonates with the fans. A lot of people care about the fanfare of it all, but they forgot what is wrestling is truly about."

SmackDown results: Truth and Consequences By: Michael Burdick July 29, 2011 Tags: SmackDown: July 29, 2011 PHILADELPHIA As Chief Operating Officer Triple H asserted his new WWE regime with a powerful visit to SmackDown, Randy Orton showed World Heavyweight Champion Christian why their SummerSlam No Holds Barred Match will truly be an excruciating showdown (match preview).
R-Truth def. Randy Orton by Disqualification (WATCH | PHOTOS) When the observing World Heavyweight Champion Christian jumped up on the ring apron to disrupt SmackDowns main event, R-Truth used the distraction to hit Randy Orton with a water bottle. This infuriated WWEs Apex Predator, who attacked his opponent with a chair and forced the referee to call for the bell.
Despite the fact that he had lost the match by disqualification, The Viper sent a powerful message to both R-Truth and his lurking SummerSlam opponent. After hitting R-Truth with a monitor, Orton blasted him with an RKO onto the announce table, not once but twice.
Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase def. Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match (WATCH | PHOTOS) Ezekiel Jackson showed the courage and determination of a true Intercontinental Champion, taking on both Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase at the urging of the newly appointed Assistant to the SmackDown Manager, Zack Ryder (watch). But, when The Personification of Domination slammed his shoulder into the steel ring post, the bitter Rhodes took advantage, triumphing over his prey with the Cross Rhodes.
WWE Tag Team Champions Michael McGillicutty & David Otunga def. The Usos in a WWE Tag Team Championship Match (WATCH | PHOTOS) Despite the fact that The Usos scored a non-title match victory over McGillicutty & Otunga on "WWE Superstars," they failed to overcome the WWE Tag Team Champions when the titles were on the line. With McGillicutty in trouble, Otunga threw a war torn Jimmy Uso into the ring. This distracted the referee long enough for Otunga to hurl the legal man Jey Uso off the top rope, paving the way for the recovering McGillicutty to hit Jey with the neckbreaker for the three-count.
Sheamus picked a fight with Mark Henry (WATCH | PHOTOS) With no Superstars apparently willing to take on the destructive Mark Henry, Zack Ryder SmackDown GM Theodore Longs new Assistant promised to get him an opponent (watch). This ultimately came in the form of a local athlete, half Henrys size.
Decimating his outmatched foe, The Worlds Strongest Man opted to continue his assault after the bell. Moments after Teddy Long rushed to the ring to try and stop the madness, Sheamus emerged. Provoking the furious Henry to charge toward him with a humiliating slap, Sheamus dropped the rope at the last moment, sending the subject of his ridicule crashing to the ringside floor. The massive Superstar tried to get back in the ring, but was promptly stopped by the chair-wielding Irish brawler.
Alicia Fox, Tamina & Rosa Mendes def. Natalya, Kaitlyn & A.J. (WATCH | PHOTOS) After Alicia Fox avoided an aerial attack from SmackDowns spitfire AJ, the dangerous Diva executed a brutal scissors kick for the win. But, which of WWEs battling beauties will reign supreme this Monday on Raw when the Divas of WWE compete in a Battle Royal to determine the No. 1 contender to Kelly Kellys Divas Championship?
Daniel Bryan puts Wade Barrett in the LeBell Lock (WATCH | PHOTOS) Making it clear that he came to the United States and WWE to make money, Wade Barrett said that he is returning to basics, proclaiming that greed is overrated. However, when he began to bad mouth Daniel Bryan, Mr. Money in the Bank took exception. Barrett struck the determined Superstar and began to berate him. But, Bryan quickly turned the tables, cinching in the LeBell Lock on the English grappler.
World Heavyweight Champion Christian def. John Morrison (WATCH | PHOTOS) With his neck still clearly not 100 percent, John Morrison came to SmackDown to battle Christian. However, seconds after avoiding The Guru of Greatness Starship Pain, the World Heavyweight Champion took advantage of his foes lingering injury. Catapulting Morrisons neck off the top rope, the crafty champion claimed victory with the Killswitch.
Zack Ryder appointed Assistant to the SmackDown GM (WATCH) Shortly after addressing the WWE Universe, COO Triple H decided to appoint Zack Ryder as the new Assistant to SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long.
New Chief Operating Officer Triple H laid down the law on SmackDown (WATCH | PHOTOS) Following his first State of the WWE Address on Monday Night Raw, Triple H journeyed to SmackDown. He immediately addressed the WWE Championship situation on Raw, acknowledging that Punk has been re-signed and that there are, in fact, two WWE Champions The Second City Saint and John Cena. He vowed to make a decision on how to handle this problem this Monday night on Raw.
World Heavyweight Champion Christian interrupted Triple H, assuming the new man in charge would want to establish a closer, working relationship with him. However, taking the interruption as a slap in the face, Triple H declared that Christian will put his title on the line at SummerSlam against Randy Orton in a No Holds Barred Match (match preview).
Soon after Raw Superstar R-Truth interrupted as well proclaiming himself a man of action Triple H decided to provide some for both he and Christian. To the delight of the WWE Universe, he decreed that R-Truth would face Randy Orton and Christian would take on John Morrison.

AJ Styles Interview: Wants The 6 Sided Ring Back And Rey Mysterio In TNA
TNA Wrestler AJ Styles Spoke to the UK Sun a few days ago regarding TNA's Destination X Pay Per View, The UK Tour and more. Below is a quick recap.
On his overall thoughts of Destination X:
Quote
Destination X was probably one of best events of the year so far and one I particularly enjoyed being a part of.
On the return of the six sided ring:
Quote
I hated to see the six-sided ring leave and I was excited to see it return. I have, I guess, got kind of used to the four-sided ring and had forgotten how hard it was to perform in the six-sided one. But the six-sided ring is what made TNA. It may have only been back for one event but we showed how special it is!
On the current state of the X-Division:
Quote
The X Division is one of the best things we do. They do deserve TV time and unfortunately they don't always get it. It's been a case of guys like Hogan and Sting needing TV airtime and the X guys getting lost in the shuffle. My hope is that Destination X is the wake-up call they need to give them the shot they deserve. I'd like to see those matches return to form and being the reason that people tune in to see us doing this stuff once again.
On which wrestler he would like to see in TNA:
Quote
Well I'd love to see Rey Mysterio end his career here. I'd love that opportunity, he is such a superstar and I'd hope it could happen, you just never know.
Impact Wrestling Results - 7/28/2011 From Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida Report by: Alex Barie of WrestlingNewsWorld.com
Impact Wrestling starts out with Kurt Angle walking backstage. He is walking up steps as his music hits. Mike Tenay says he is coming into the iMPACT Zone. He gets on stage as the fans go crazy. He comes down the ramp and gets into the ring. He grabs a mic and begins to speak.
His first word is "Hogan". He tells Hogan to come out as they can end it once and for all. Just then, Hogan's music plays and here comes the iconic figure! Hulk Hogan gets on stage and does his famous taunts. The crowd boos him incredibly. He comes down the ramp and gets into the ring as he sports a blue bandana. As he gets to the steps, he rips up a fan's poster. He is finally in the ring. Kurt begins to talk again as he states that Hogan called him throughout the week. Kurt never picked up though. Kurt wants Hogan to know how he feels about Immortal. He doesn't like Immortal at all. He thinks they are corrupt and are led by people who have no idea what they are doing. Kurt talks about his title match against Sting and says he will beat him for the title and he will prove that he will be the best in the world. He asks Hogan if he knows what it is like to be the best in the world. Hogan gets on the mic and says he knows what it is like to be the best. Hogan says when there was no Sting, Matt Morgan, RVD, Kurt Angle, Beer Money, and Andre the Giant......he carried the company on his back. He carried every small company until the whole business became a global company. Hogan goes back to 1984 as he says he was selling out arenas with young punks buying tickets just to see Hogan. Since Hogan cleared that up, Hogan was calling Kurt because he saw him preforming at a huge level. It's not about money now or then or about his medal.....he says he can give him a lot more money now. Kurt gets back on the mic and says he does respect Hogan. Because of that, he isn't beating up Hogan right now. Kurt says he can't be bought like Mr. Anderson. Kurt goes on to say that Hogan was the very best 25 years ago. Now, the Hogan name is completely different. He can't go anymore. Hogan cuts him off. Hogan goes on to talk about himself again. After injuries, he can no longer fight. If Kurt is going after his wife or kids, then he will see what Hogan is made of. Hogan then questions Kurt and his olympic win. He says that may be a fluke. Kurt says Sting was right. Kurt lit a fire under Hogan. The older they get, the more the fire burns. Hogan needs to prove it to himself. Hogan asks what Kurt is trying to say. Kurt says that Hogan wants to pay him (Kurt) a huge amount of money to get Sting. Well, Kurt says that Hogan should get Sting himself. He turns down the Immortal offer and the money offer. Kurt's music hits and he leaves the ring as he walks up the ramp backwards.
The camera goes backstage and it shows So Cal Val backstage. Eric Bischoff comes through the door as he says his plane ran late and he just made it to the show now. Val goes up to him and hands him an envelope. She tells him that it's from the Network. He is annoyed.

Hogan comes into the room and tells them to be quiet. Hogan says he doesn't care about anything they have to say. All he wants it Kurt Angle taken out. Bully Ray says he will do it. Just then, Bully says to have Ken be with him too. Ken is furious as he didn't sign up for this. Anderson then says that can do it and fine....he will do it. Eric then says that it's not done. He goes on to read, but Sting appears out of nowhere behind Hogan and Bully Ray. Sting bows down to Hogan and then walks around the room. He hugs Karen and then takes a seat as he is carrying a cage with a sheet over it. Karen calls him crazy, and Sting says thank you. Sting then says that he is in charge. Alex gets back on the mic and talks about some huge X-Division wrestlers and what they have done in the division. While they are about high flying, Austin is here and is using chains and everything else to get the win. Austin gets on the mic and compliments Brian's style of fashion. He then insults Alex. He goes to say that he played with their code of ethics as he fought his way to win a TNA contract. Now that he is here, everyone will be playing by his rules. They are just pleasing the fans, and Austin is not for that. Austin wants a 5 star bank account.....and that means he wants the money and it doesn't matter if he has to cheat to win. In the end, he will become X-Division Champion. Brian says no way as he is the Champion right now. It will not involve to have Austin as champion. Alex then gets on the mic and says the network wants to push the X-Division to the moon. With that being said, Alex will get his rematch for the title at the PPV. Just then, Abyss' music hits and he comes out on stage. He calls on Kendrick. He asks if Kendrick forget about him. He then states that Kendrick will not make it to Hardcore Justice. It doesn't matter about the network or Sting.....Eric and Hogan still call the shots. Because of that, Hogan and Eric gave Abyss a rematch for the title and it is tonight. Abyss will do what he should have done at the last PPV. That it to get the title and kill the X-Division once and for all. He laughs. All of a sudden, Sting comes on the titan tron and says excuse me. Sting says that he has more power than Hogan and Eric now. He wonders if monsters are afraid of heights. He says it will be Kendrick vs. Abyss in an Ultimate X Match! Abyss can't believe it as he holds his head from that hurtful match.

CM Punk Reveals When He Decided To Stay In WWE Posted by Dave Mitchell on 07/27/2011 at 03:27 PM
CM PUNK appeared on the BS Report radio show this wee, hosted by ESPN's Bill Simmons. You can listen to audio of the interview at ESPN.com.
Here's a recap of what CM Punk said about:
Why he returned so soon:
It would be cool to stay off television for a while but SummerSlam is now and he wanted to capitalize on the momentum of the angle. He enjoys working with John Cena and likes their feud. He still loves what he does.
Wrestlers boring him:
He grew very bored of pro wrestling and still is at times. Certain guys on the roster who do the same thing day in and day out and that's not him. He questions everything and tries new things - and whatever he's doing right now is working.
His epic shoot promo on RAW several weeks ago:
He knew WWE would cut him off at some point - but he wanted to push the envelope as much as he could. It was not scripted - everything he said was from the heart. He understood certain things are off limits - and he did go too far with a few of his comments.
Whether he was really leaving WWE:
His mind was made up to leave WWE. He made the decision to stay in WWE the day of the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. He wasn't playing games or trying to get more money from WWE - he was very burnt out and spent a lot of time weighing his options.
His new theme song "Cut of Personality":
He's a big advocate of wrestlers changing their characters - their look, their music, etc. It was time to change. It probably cost WWE a lot of money to license the song and he's worth it.

Rey Mysterio def. The Miz for the WWE Championship U.S. Champion Dolph Ziggler def. Evan Bourne Divas Champion Kelly Kelly & Eve def. Maryse & Melina Zack Ryder def. Michael Cole Alberto Del Rio def. Kofi Kingston John Cena def. WWE Champion Rey Mysterio
Raw results: Title wave By: Greg Adkins July 25, 2011 Tags: Raw: July 25, 2011 HAMPTON, Va. The McMahon Era may have ended, but the Triple H Era has just begun. On The Games first night as the Big Man on Canvas, the WWE Universe witnessed the return of a WWE Hall of Famer, an electrifying Superstar and, not one, but two WWE Champions. Actually, three. Oh, yeah, this should be interesting.
John Cena def. WWE Champion Rey Mysterio; CM Punk confronted Cena (WATCH: PART 1 | PART 2 | CM PUNK EXCLUSIVE | PHOTOS | FULL STORY) The capacity crowd inside the Hampton Coliseum might want to save their ticket stubs. It was a night to remember for the WWE Universe. In an unprecedented second WWE Championship Match of the night, newly-minted WWE Champion Rey Mysterio was forced to defend the title he won less than two hours earlier against one of WWEs toughest competitors, John Cena.
As the two sportsmen competed, it eventually became clear that The Cenation Commander-in-Chief would overpower Reys agile assault and capture his ninth WWE Championship. In the carnival of celebration, however, one competitor emerged to dispute the legitimacy of Cenas reign.
CM Punk shocked the WWE faithful when, after having departed the company two weeks earlier, he surfaced inside the arena carrying his WWE Title. The audience, as well as millions at home, watched the confrontation, the tension, the body language. Which man would blink first? Which WWE Champion was the rightful heir to WWEs most coveted object? In the frenzied air of anticipation, however, there would be no determination. The Second City Savior and The Champ merely stood hoisting their respective WWE Titles skyward, as if to declare their proper place in the history books despite the protests of the other.
Alberto Del Rio def. Kofi Kingston (WATCH | PHOTOS) Alberto Del Rio quickly figured out that coasting on your accomplishments is the quickest course to obscurity in WWE. In the wake of his astounding Money in the Bank victory, The Mexican Aristocrat dropped focus in an upset loss to Kofi Kingston last week. This week, however, Mr. Money in the Bank came correct, halting his slide as well as any momentum for the Dreadlock Dynamo.
Zack Ryder def. Michael Cole (WATCH | PHOTOS) After abandoning his post earlier in the program, announcer Michael Cole was made to pay, thanks to WWEs new COO, Triple H. The Superstar collecting the toll? Zack Ryder. The Long Island Iced Z punished the egotistical talking head and gave his legion of Bro-skis something to cheer about. Woo! Woo! Woo! You know it!
Triple H gave a State of the WWE Address (WATCH | PHOTOS) Meet the new boss. After relieving Mr. McMahon of his duties last week, Triple H took over as WWEs Chief Operating Officer or COO. This week, a sharply dressed Game addressed the WWE Universe and ushered in several major developments.
First, Raw would host an unprecedented second WWE Title Match later in the evening between recently crowned WWE Champion Rey Mysterio and John Cena.
The second bombshell dropped shortly afterward: WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross would be returning to the Raw announce desk. When The Game announced the decision, current announcer Michael Cole mouthed off in protest. As a result, Triple H arranged a match for him later in the evening against an as-yet-unnamed opponent.
While wrapping up his address, The Cerebral Assassin was interrupted by a clearly imbalanced R-Truth. After enduring the crackpots latest batch of conspiracy theories, Triple H introduced the man Truth had put on the shelf: John Morrison. The recuperated Shaman of Sexy darted into the ring and unleashed his frustrations on Truth, leaving him immobile in the ring.
Divas Champion Kelly Kelly & Eve def. Maryse & Melina (WATCH PHOTOS) Two blondes plus two brunettes equals one heck of a tag team match. Divas Champion Kelly Kelly teamed with the gorgeous Eve to square off against belligerent beauties Maryse & Melina. Although Kelly looks like a cheerleader, she once again proved she isnt afraid to throw down like a linebacker. The Divas Champion proved her title reign is no fluke when she secured the pin and the victory for her team.
Next week, Divas from both Raw and SmackDown will compete in a Diva Battle Royal to determine who will face Kelly Kelly at SummerSlam.
U.S. Champion Dolph Ziggler def. Evan Bourne (WATCH | PHOTOS) Is Vickie Guerrero Dolph Zigglers lucky charm? If so, the poor guy may just have to keep her around. Once again, the U.S. Champion prevailed in a match against one of WWEs most agile Superstars, Evan Bourne. The aerial acrobrat proved unable to overcome Zigglers swiftness and athleticism, succumbing to a sleeper hold.
Rey Mysterio def. The Miz to become the WWE Champion (WATCH:PART 1 | PART 2 | PART 3 | PHOTOS) First things first. When Raw went off the air the week before, there remained unfinished business to attend to, namely determining a new WWE Champion. After eight Superstars were whittled down to two during a WWE Championship Tournament, only Rey Mysterio and The Miz remained. To kick off tonights show, the pair clashed in a frenzied contest that eventually saw The Master of the 619 capture his first ever WWE Championship.
His title reign got off to a tumultuous start. After the match, Reys petulant opponent, apparently unable to keep his A.D.D. in check, ambushed the freshly-minted champion before stomping off. As if Mizs outburst werent enough, Mr. Money in the Bank, Alberto Del Rio, then appeared, hoping to cash in his contract. Before he could, however, the new champion flew over the top rope onto his attacker, which sent The Mexican Aristocrat flying and fleeing up the entrance ramp.
In addition to all the championship action at the top of the show, WWEs new Chief Operating Officer, Triple H, will assume his role as head of the company later in the program and offer a State of the WWE Address.
