Dolph Ziggler def. Finlay CM Punk def. John Morrison Melina def. Layla Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show def. JTG Hart Dynasty def. World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy (Handicap Match)
EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada Amidst an emotional firestorm of SummerSlam fueled destruction, two brothers appeared to find the path of reconciliation.
Hart Dynasty def. World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy (Handicap Match) (VIDEO | PHOTOS) After his vicious attack on Jeff Hardy last week, CM Punk expounded on his own TLC attributes, insisting that he would prove victorious in the World Heavyweight Championship Match at SummerSlam (match preview). After the former champion promised to end Jeff Hardy, SmackDown General Manger Theodore Long stepped into the ring to refute Punk's claims that the injured Hardy may be too hurt to compete at the pay-per-view. The war-torn Charismatic Champion himself then slowly emerged to echo Longs statement, promising to defeat Punk in nine days time. (VIDEO | PHOTOS) Though it seemed Hardy would be out of action for the night, WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon soon dropped a bombshell by phone, ordering that, despite his injuries, the World Champion would have face The Hart Dynasty in a Handicap Match.
Though Hardy fought heroically, the 2-on-1 disadvantage proved too much for the injured champion, as he finally succumbed to the Dynastys Hart Attack. When The Straightedge Superstar emerged to execute a post-match onslaught on his SummerSlam opponent, John Morrison rushed down to Hardys defense. But the pair still found themselves outgunned once Punk incorporated the steel chair. Then, to the surprise and delight of the WWE Universe, Matt Hardy suddenly burst onto the scene. After working to clear the ring, the elder Hardy extended an arm to help his brother up, igniting an explosive roar from the ecstatic WWE Universe.
Back in his office, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long made the monumental announcement to Mr. McMahon that next week on SmackDown, CM Punk & The Hart Dynasty will face John Morrison and Matt & Jeff Hardy.
CM Punk def. John Morrison (VIDEO | PHOTOS) The third time proved to be a charm for The Straightedge Superstar. After suffering two separate pinfalls at the hands of The Friday Night Delight in recent weeks, the No. 1 contender to the World Heavyweight Championship foiled Morrisons second attempt at Starship Pain and hit the GTS.
Ranjin Singh feels the terror of The Big Red Machine (VIDEO 1 | 2 | 3) Throughout the night, the WWE Universe stood witness as The Great Khalis kidnapped interpreter Ranjin Singh suffered the torment of The Big Red Monster from somewhere in the arena. Although Singh was made to say that he was being punished because of his association with The Great Khali, his most startling words came when he proclaimed that he is the actually the brother of The Punjabi Playboy. Khali finally found the completely tormented Singh, only to be attacked from behind by Kane with horrifying brutality.
Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show def. JTG (VIDEO | PHOTOS) Despite an incredible victory over Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho last week, JTG could not climb to the heights of The Worlds Largest Athlete. Shortly after the Jericho delivered a cheap shot to Shad outside the ring, Big Show triumphed by submission with the excruciating Colossal Clutch. But as Big Show was exiting the ring, Shad delivered a shot of his own, sending the gigantic Superstar crashing to the ringside floor below. (SummerSlam Unified Tag Team Championship preview)
Dolph Ziggler def. Finlay (VIDEO | PHOTOS) The ultra-confident Ziggler reigned supreme over The Belfast Brawler, executing his vicious reverse bulldog after Mike Knox struck Finlay with the Shillelagh. After the bell, Knox continued his unrelenting assault, ending with a calculated backbreaker to Finlay onto the unforgiving steel steps. (SummerSlam Intercontinental Championship preview)
Melina def. Layla (VIDEO | PHOTOS) The fierce Melina continued to run wild throughout Friday night, utilizing pure primal emotion to put away Layla and send a strong message to Womens Champion Michelle McCool.
Matt Hardy posted the following blog on the WWE Universe website this morning:
There's much more to this story than you'll ever know.. for now. I know several people are doubting my sincerity, and some people are ecstatic that Jeff and I seem to be back on good terms. I know I have a lot of explaining and convincing to do in the very near future. And I will be happy to open up and tell everyone the "REAL" story behind our sibling rivalry. The last year of my life is movie-worthy. Buckle up and get ready for the ride, because as of yesterday, The Hardys are back in business!
It's being reported that TNA and SpikeTV are currently negotiating a new deal. One of the key items being dicussed in the negotiation is TNA receiving 1-2 more hours of original programming per week. A number of ideas have been talked about in the past for new TNA TV shows including an all Knockouts show, an all X-Division show, and also the possibility of making Spin Cycle a TV show as opposed to an internet show.
TNA Knockout Tara has posted a Tweet on her Twitter account noting that she does not remember the ending of her match this past week on Impact after taking a nasty fall and hitting her head on the cement floor outside of the ring. Tara wrote:
"Thank you for the concern. I don't remember the rest of the match after hitting the cement with my head. But it's not ballet & I won. YAY!!"
It was recently reported that TNA beat WWE in the ratings war last week, and this news prompted Jeremy Borash to comment on the situation by taking a small shot at WWE's "Did You Know?" blurbs on his Twitter account. Borash wrote:
"Did you know??? Once again in this week's ratings, TNA iMPACT! beat Raw, Smackdown, and ECW in the UK."
John Morrison def. David Hart Smith Goldust def. Sheamus Carlito & Rosa Mendes def. United States Champion Kofi Kingston & Divas Champion Mickie James
With WWE Superstars on WGN American emanating from Canada, things were certain to be big, and an explosive main event teaming the United States Champion Kofi Kingston & Divas Champion Mickie James against Carlito & Rosa Mendes definitely delivered. Add in a homecoming for Canada natives Natalya and David Hart Smith with the latter taking on John Morrison, and a heated battle between ECW Superstars Sheamus and Goldust, this may have been the most explosive edition of WWE Superstars to date.
Dont know where to catch WWE Superstars? Find WGN America in your area. Can't see WWE Superstars on WGN America in your area? Stay with WWE.com for full results, photos and video clips of all the action.
John Morrison def. David Hart Smith (PHOTOS | WATCH) Just 24-hours before facing CM Punk on SmackDown, The Friday Night Delight defeated the impressive David Hart Smith, which wasnt what Natalya wanted to see happen in Smiths homecoming match. At many times in the match, the Hart Dynasty member seemed just half a second from walking away the victor, but in the end, Morrison proved he wanted it more. After having already countered one Starship Pain, Smith fell to a second and the ensuing three-count did not please the Canadian fans in attendance.
Goldust def. Sheamus (PHOTOS | WATCH) It may seem that The Bizarre One used his experience to claim victory over The Celtic Warrior, but we think Sheamus would say otherwise. The saying goes that the Irish have bad luck if any luck at all, and after a match that seemed to be firmly in The Celtic Warriors grasp slipped away due to an inside cradle, theres no doubt that the native son of the Eire would agree. Goldust may have won this round, but we dont think things are over between these two by a long shot.
Carlito & Rosa Mendes def. United States Champion Kofi Kingston & Divas Champion Mickie James (PHOTOS | WATCH) In a huge upset, The Caribbean Superstar pinned the United States Champion giving him and Rosa Mendes the victory. A win over any champion is a big one, and even though things werent looking good for Carlito, he made the right move at the right time dodging one of Kingstons high-flying maneuvers and reversing it with a Backstabber. Oddly enough, The Jamaican Superstar and Mickie James werent the only ones to leave the ring with a sullen attitude. Despite securing victory for his team, The Caribbean Superstar retained the same bad attitude with which he initially entered the ring.
TNA Wrestling superstar Elijah Burke was recently interviewed by ForceofWrestling.com and spoke about a number of topics, including his amateur boxing background, how he came up with his finishing maneuver, his favorite match and more. Here's what Burke said about:
Rejecting a Spot in the Spirit Squad: "Yes, I turned it down. It was not forced upon me but an opportunity for me if I wanted it. I chose not to put myself or career into a situation for the 'Right Now Money' as I plan on being around for a while in this business," Burke told forceofwrestling.com in an interview. "I knew the Spirit Squad would get a lot of TV time and PPVs 'cause Vince said so; it was his idea. But at what cost? A year later, the stench of the SS killed (or hurt) all of their careers," Burke said. "Kudos to Dolph Ziggler for working his butt off."
Chris Benoit: "I remember talking to him, and he would tell me that he forgets a lot of things, and how he would like for me not to be afraid to communicate with him," Burke said. "He had a condition that I've witnessed older people deal with all the time, being that my mother's a nurse. And let me tell you, one minute they're telling you to help them, and the next minute they're screaming, 'Help, there's a stranger in my room.' So by Chris's brain being worse than an 80-year-old Alzheimer patient's, then who knows."
Burke says Chris Benoit saw potential in him and took him under his wing. "He had handpicked me to help elevate to the next level," Burke said. "He called me the day before they say the first 'incident' happened to check on me following my back injury when he crashed into my knees during our first and last televised match. Does that sound like a monster to you?"
Signing with TNA: "My signing with TNA was about timing and both sides being happy, plain and simple." When asked if we'll see him back in the ring soon & where, he said, "Well, I think we all know the answer to this question by now, dont we?."

He took on both Nash & Angle on his own. Angle had Foley locked into his leglock submission when the lights went out..and Sting's music hit...Sting appeared at the top of the bleachers in the crowd..pointing his bat at Angle in the ring. The lights went back out & when they turned back on, Lashley was in the ring with his head bandaged and attacked Angle & NASH..he gave Nash a running shoulder block & Foley got the pin on Nash to become the new TNA Legends Champion. It was near riot conditions with the them brawling all over the place into the stands. The crowd was super hot for it all. Once the smoke cleared, it was Daniels & the Guns who stood tall, the Guns even held up the TNA Tag Titles...they leave ringside. All of a sudden Daniels & EY came battling back towards the ring along with the Guns, Kiyoshi & Bashir all brawling throughout the iMPACT Zone..on the monitors it could be seen that others were brawling backstage as well. The segment was well over 15 minutes long..it even had Chris Sabin throwing his shoes up the ramp at the World Elite. Daniels put the World Elite on notice that they were coming for them.
*Christy Hemme returned and defeated SoJo Bolt with the FFG.
*Contract Signing for the TNA Legends Title Match between Kevin Nash & Mick Foley, they both signed & gave their final thoughts on another & the match.

Angle says Mafia recruited him, Morgan corrects him that he sold himself to them..Angle says one last favor and he's in the Mafia..Morgan is confused and doesn't understand how Angle is asking for him to help retaining the title. Morgan says no one demands anything from him and he's not passing up the opportunity to become the TNA World Champion. He says he's walking into Hard Justice as the Blueprint, but walking out the new World Heavyweight champion.

Regarding the possibility of joining WCW or TNA, Kane said: "I've never been interested. I consider WWE to be the best there is. I have no interest in going anywhere else."

EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada ECW Champion Christian learned the future of his fate on Tuesday night in front of a crowd full of his Peeps. The new No. 1 Contender to Captain Charismas ECW Championship is none other than William Regal.
An announcement on The Abraham Washington Show (PHOTOS | WATCH) Two-time ECW Champion Christian was the special guest on The Abraham Washington Show Tuesday night. After Washington played clips from Christians Extreme Rules Title defense against Tommy Dreamer from last weeks ECW on Syfy, Christian assured Washington that while their match was grueling, he and the ECW Original are indeed still friends. Captain Charisma also said hes ready for every challenge coming his way.
I am ready to be the face of this brand. I am ready to be the man here in ECW, Christian claimed.
The bombastic talk show host was ready to deliver that next challenge to the ECW Champion, introducing the No. 1 Contender to the Extreme title, William Regal.
If you think what you did last week was Extreme, you havent seen anything yet, sunshine, Regal threatened Christian.
The Englishman continued his speech to Christian, claiming his countrymen are known for being barbaric, and if the ECW Champion didnt believe him, he should just watch what he had planned next for his friend, Tommy Dreamer.
William Regal def. Tommy Dreamer (PHOTOS | WATCH) After Washington announced Regal is the No. 1 Contender to the ECW Championship, The British Brawler faced off against Tommy Dreamer. Still ailing from the brutal Extreme Rules ECW Title Match he competed in the week before, Dreamer fell to the ruthless Regal, who focused on the ECW Originals wounded left arm. Even after his win, Regal continued his attack with the Regal Stretch on Dreamer, until ECW Champion Christian emerged to chase Regal from the ring and help his friend, Dreamer. But will 2008 King of the Ring winner Regal have what it takes to defeat ECW Champion Christian in the future?
Shelton Benjamin def. Zack Ryder (PHOTOS | WATCH) Last weeks Abraham Washington Show exploded into couch-flipping chaos when Zack Ryder and Shelton Benjamin argued about who was the more entertaining Superstar, and Ryder took a cheap shot at Benjamin. This week, Benjamin got retribution against the cocky, brash Long Islander when The Gold Standard hit Paydirt on Ryder for the victory. But is this the last the WWE Universe has seen of the rivalry between these two skilled ECW Superstars?
An attack on Gregory Helms (WATCH) Before his match against Yoshi Tatsu, Paul Burchill attacked Gregory Helms backstage, accusing him of being the Hurricane.
Why dont you run along and put your Underoos back on and let the grown ups speak? Burchill taunted, and then attacked Helms, knocking him to the ground.
Yoshi Tatsu def. Paul Burchill (Disqualification) (PHOTOS | WATCH) After an introduction by ECWs newest Divas, Nikki and Brie Bella, Yoshi Tatsu faced off against Paul Burchill. But Burchills devious sister, Katie Lea, interfered in the match, causing Tatsu to win by disqualification. After the match, Paul Burchill continued his assault on the Japanese Superstar until Hurricane appeared. The masked Superstar climbed to the top rope and leaped toward a stunned Burchill, as Tatsu looked on in shock. Now that Hurricane has returned to the Land of the Extreme, what will this mysterious Superstar do next?
Vladimir Kozlov def. local competitor (PHOTOS | WATCH) The Moscow Mauler inflicted his brutal form of punishment against another local competitor this week on ECW. After Kozlovs Iron Curtain descended upon his opponent to end the match, Ezekiel Jackson emerged and also attacked Kozlovs prey, prompting another staredown between Jackson and Kozlov. Not to be outdone in the game of one-upmanship, the Sambo master picked up the local competitor and hit him again with his finisher, and exited the ring without looking back. When will these two Superstars finally clash in the Land of the Extreme?
Tyler Reks def. local competitor (PHOTOS | WATCH) Tyler Reks, who arrived on ECW as part of the New Superstar Initiative, returned to action in the Land of the Extreme this week. The Laguna Beach, Calif., native has come to Tuesday nights to prove hes not just a laid back, surfer dude, and after his victory this week over a local competitor with a Springboard Missile Dropkick, hes proving that.
In a recent blog at the WWE Universe site, Tommy Dreamer confirms the injuries he sustained during his ECW title match with Christian at Night of Champions. "I did suffer an injury when Christian hit me with a crutch and the butterfly screw went right into my tricep(I will post the pictures soon) I can barely lift my arm and have a nice puncture wound. My knuckles, fingers, back, eye and head are all bruised bad. I truly was in one hell of a fight."
It was announced at tonight's WWE SmackDown taping from the Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada that WWE Women's Champion Michelle McCool will return to the brand on next week's show. McCool has been held off the road after suffering what is believed to be a knee injury at a recent house house show.
Gail Kim def. Kelly Kelly, Beth Phoenix & Alicia Fox in Diva Four Way Jack Swagger def. Evan Bourne "Calgary Kid" (The Miz) def. Eugene in WWE Contract-on-a-Pole Match Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show def. WWE Champion Randy Orton by count-out MVP def. Chris Masters The Legacy def. Mark Henry & Hornswoggle John Cena def. Chris Jericho by disqualification
CALGARY, Alberta - Its been a long, sweltering summer, especially for the Superstars of Monday Night Raw. And while making a run for the border of Canada might seem like just the way to cool off, having Sgt. Slaughter as Raws special guest host certainly kept the heat on.
Also, in tribute to tonight's special guest host, WWE.com has handed over WWE e-Vote to ask the following question: Who did tonight's Hall of Fame guest host, Sgt. Slaughter, defeat to capture his first WWE Championship? Randy Savage, Ultimate Warrior or Hulk Hogan? Results...
John Cena def. Chris Jericho by disqualification (PHOTOS | WATCH) Perhaps hoping to boost his standing with his fellow Canucks, Chris Jericho wanted to accomplish something in front of them hed never done before; defeat John Cena. Well, that quest went about as far as a moose on a motorcycle. As one half of the Unified Tag Team Champions, Jericho certainly held his own against Cena. Unfortunately for him, though, Randy Orton wanted to send a message to his SummerSlam opponent and interfered in the bout by attacking Jericho. The intrusion triggered an immediate disqualification and also prompted Big Show to rush to the ring to chokeslam Orton, leaving both he and Cena lying on the canvas.
The pandemonium led Raw guest host Sgt. Slaughter to interrupt the proceedings to announce that next week, not only will Freddie Prinze Jr. act as Raws celebrity guest host, Cena & Orton must combine forces to face Show & Jericho. As if to demonstrate their uneasy alliance, Cena & Orton immediately joined together to collar The Worlds Largest Athlete and send him over the ropes. The cooperation was quickly followed by looks of apprehension on the faces of both Superstars. Will these two really be able to bury their animosity and work as a team on the next edition of Raw?
The Legacy def. Mark Henry & Hornswoggle (PHOTOS | WATCH) Chavo Guerrero didnt seem like he wanted to press his luck. In the wake of his pathetic losing streak to Hornswoggle, the self-proclaimed Mexican Warrior decided to forgo a tag team match against Swoggle & Mark Henry. Instead, Guerrero chose to substitute The Legacy. While it was nothing to be proud of, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase did manage to secure the win thanks to a pin on the little leprechaun. Feeling confident, the second-generation Superstars then addressed DX, saying they were definitely ready to face down the legendary twosome.
Triple H tracked down Shawn Michaels; DX to battle The Legacy at SummerSlam (WATCH: PART 1 | PART 2 | PART 3) Regeneration X? There had been no sign of Shawn Michaels ever since his loss to Undertaker at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania in an epic match. Finally, however, Triple H managed to track down the elusive Superstar in a corporate cafeteria? Thats right. It appears HBK had decided to go underground, working as a cook, when his former DX partner pleaded with him to reform DX and compete against The Legacy at SummerSlam. To The Games relief, and the WWE Universes delight, Michaels agreed.
MVP def. Chris Masters (PHOTOS | WATCH) After getting in the face of Jack Swagger earlier in the night, MVPs adrenaline must have been pumping when he faced Chris Masters one-on-one. Montel Vontavious Porter managed to capitalize on his quickness and athleticism, handing Masters a loss. Any celebration got cut short, though, when Swagger came to the ring. As MVP faced him, Masters locked in The Master Lock. Thats when Swagger decided to act and pummeled a weary MVP, leaving him hurt in the middle of the canvas.
Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show def. WWE Champion Randy Orton by count-out (PHOTOS | WATCH) Randy Orton may be conniving, devious and underhanded, but hes no dummy. The WWE Champion had been scheduled to battle Big Show in one of the nights two main events. The Viper, however, thought better of facing off against The Worlds Largest Athlete and risk injury with less than two weeks until one of the most important matches of his career against John Cena at SummerSlam. Instead, after suffering a beating at the meaty paws of Show, Orton, in a calculated move, exited the ring and walked off, allowing the angered giant the victory by count-out.
Calgary Kid (The Miz) def. Eugene; The Miz earned reinstatement to Raw (PHOTOS | WATCH) It looked like it was over for The Miz. Last week, the brash braggart lost to John Cena and found himself banned from Monday Night Raw for good. Well, heees baaaccckkk! The scheming Superstar, calling himself Calgary Kid, donned a mask and fought Eugene in a WWE Contract-on-a-Pole Match for the right to become the newest official member of Monday Night Raw. After prevailing, Miz ripped off his mask to reveal his true identity.
Jack Swagger def. Evan Bourne (PHOTOS | WATCH) In the tug-of-war that has ensued over the past two weeks between Jack Swagger and Evan Bourne, The All-American American pulled his adversary over the line. After splitting one victory apiece, Swagger came up big to win the tie-breaker. Before he could revel in his arrogance, however, MVP challenged Swagger to a fight. The All-American American deferred, saying that maybe he would battle The Ballin Superstar next week. MVP pushed him on his derriere before Swagger slid from the ring.
Gail Kim def. Kelly Kelly, Beth Phoenix and Alicia Fox in Divas Four Way Match (PHOTOS | WATCH) Call it home country advantage. When Canadian Gail Kim faced off against Kelly Kelly, Beth Phoenix and Alicia Fox in a Diva Four Way Match, with the winner earning the right to face Divas Champion Mickie James in a title match, the odds were not in her favor. However, anyone who has witnessed the Korean beauty in the ring knows that she has never let the odds mean her end. After overcoming the size and strength advantage of her opponents, Kim emerged victorious and now sets her sights on Mickie and the Divas Title.
Raw special guest host Sgt. Slaughter arranged two main event matches: Big Show vs. Randy Orton and Chris Jericho vs. John Cena (PHOTOS) WWE Champion Randy Orton tried on his professors cap when Monday Night Raw touched down in the Great White North. Orton confronted his SummerSlam opponent, John Cena, with a little history lesson. Namely, The Viper reminded Cena how he had defeated him in a Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania XXV and, more recently, at Night of Champions.
For his part, Cena proved no teachers pet. The former Champ exchanged pointed words with Orton until they were interrupted by the Unified Tag Team Champions, Chris Jericho & Big Show. The two bragged about how they had convinced Raws guest host, Sgt. Slaughter, to arrange two main event matches: Big Show vs. Orton and Chris Jericho vs. John Cena.
Multiple sources are reporting that Scott D'Amore is returning to TNA as an agent. D'Amore left the company in July 2008.
Powell's POV: D'Amore has worked on the creative team in the past and it's possible he could be added in that capacity in the future. However, the buzz at this point is that he is returning to work as the primary agent of the Knockouts division. He held that position previously, and there's no denying that the division has suffered since he left the company.
New Japan Pro Wrestling is officially recognizing The British Invasion as the IWGP Tag Champions, according to Puroresufan.com. The promotion previously did not recognize the title change that took place on TNA television. However, they have changed their tune, as they now list the British Invasion as the 53rd tag team champions. For more on the story, check out PuroresuFan.com. [Thanks to Dot Net reader Marqui Garmon]
To put some rumors to rest, Brian Kendrick did not ask for his release from WWE like he did during his previous stint in the company in 2004. Rather, John Laurinaitis cited the tough economy and creative having nothing for him upon informing of his release from the company two weeks ago.
Kendrick has been telling friends that it was implied to him the only reason he lasted as long as he did in WWE was because Pat Patterson liked him.
Wrestling fans have not seen the last of Kendrick as he is already committed to working dates for Dragon Gate USA and Pro Wrestling Guerilla in the near future. It's also interesting to note that he lives near Universal Studios in Orlando, but there's no telling at this point whether he will wind up in TNA.
WWE has had discussions of running a three-hour episode of RAW in September and building it around a match between Big Show and Shaquille O'Neal. It hard to understand why WWE would consider giving this match away on free TV instead of building it up for a PPV.
