Why WWE Isn't Speaking Publicly About CM Punk

 - Colt Cabana denies the report saying he told a fan in India that CM Punk has been very pissed off with his position in the company. Cabana tweeted:

"Some dude in INDIA has been lying about me talking about Punk. I'm sorry yall but Internets been lying. I think he's dead."

- WWE officials have began to de-emphasize CM Punk internally and they have the impression that he's not coming back anytime soon. One reason the company is not burying Punk publicly yet is because Vince McMahon really does like Punk personally. As noted, Vince still hopes the two sides can work everything out.

Another reason is they have a lot of time and money invested in Punk, they have the CM Punk name out in stores and other places and they want to protect that at best they can as long as it's associated with WWE. There's a good chance WWE doesn't even publicly acknowledge Punk is gone until his contract expires in July. For those wondering, once July comes and his contract expires, Punk will be free to do anything he wants.

- The Shield kicked off last night's WWE live event in San Diego and once again cut a promo on CM Punk not being there. Refunds were offered to fans and CM Punk chants were scattered throughout the night.

RUMOR: Word On How Jeff Jarrett And Toby Keith Nearly Bought TNA

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter claims to have first hand knowledge how talks between Jeff Jarrett & Toby Keith and TNA Wrestling in regards to reports that Jarrett and Keith were looking to buy the promotion.

Jeff Jarrett had reportedly put a deal together with Panda Energy’s Bob Carter (the father of Dixie Carter). Bob Carter and Keith were to meet to finalize plans of the deal, and when they met, Carter did in fact want to sell the company, but had one stipulation prior to making the deal. That was that Dixie Carter remain as on-screen TNA President as well as retain some power within the company. Keith did not want to make any deal that included “creative limitations,” and that is where the negotiations fell apart.

From there, Jeff Jarrett and Toby Keith took a step back. They realized that they could build their own company from the ground up; and that led to Jeff Jarrett leaving TNA in December.

As we previously reported, the memo Janice Carter (Dixie’s mother) sent out to all TNA talents saying that the company was not for sale was complete bullshit. The memo was sent out at the same time negotiations to sell the company were taking place between Bob Carter, Jeff Jarrett and Toby Keith.

RUMOR: Top TNA Star High On The American Wolves

Word is that Bully Ray is very high on new TNA talents Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards.

During recent creative meetings, Ray has been very protective of how the duo has been booked and presented in the company.

RUMOR: Samoa Joe Gives Emotional Speech To TNA Talent During UK Tour

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that the recent TNA UK tour was said to be the most grueling tour for them ever but the best in terms of locker room morale. Everyone was happy to be working in front of larger crowds and more receptive crowds. Samoa Joe gave an emotional speech on the bus traveling back to the hotel about how this was his toughest tour but the tour had no prima donnas, no complainers and no whiners, and how proud he was of everyone. The wrestlers were chanting Joe’s name when it was over.

For what it's worth, WWE "desperately" wants CM Punk back as soon as possible. Vince McMahon recognizes his drawing power and it's not a situation where they are just going to let him go without a fight. They are doing everything possible to get him back. That's tough to do when Punk isn't answering any phone calls from WWE though.

 As of last weekend, Sting had not officially signed a deal with WWE. Word is that his contract is still being worked on and that the deal is nearly finished. As previously reported, the merchandising part of his deal is already being worked on.

Sting is still not expected to be a part of WrestleMania 30, and will likely be held out of in ring competition until WrestleMania 31. The idea is that WWE will use his "in ring WWE debut" as a selling point of the event.

At this time, the WWE has told their merchandise department not to come up with any specialized products for The Rock. WWE may use Rock in special merchandise with group shots, but no individual products are being produced.

The Rock is not expected to be part of the WrestleMania 30 event, and WWE is operating under the assumption that the earliest he will return is 2015. During media appearances, The Rock has previously stated he would not be a part of this year's event, but also stated that he has not ruled out future returns with the company.

During recent interviews with Kurt Angle, which were designed to promote recent TNA events, Angle spent a lot of time discussing his time in WWE and possible matches with current WWE stars.

The feeling within TNA is that Angle is preparing to leave the company and possibly return to WWE once his TNA deal ends this year. Of course, he's going to need to take a WWE physical in order to wrestle with them and many don't think he'll be able to pass that.
