WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison def. Jimmy Wang Yang & Shannon Moore (non-title) Finlay def. Matt Striker Victoria def. Michelle McCool Vladimir Kozlov def. Matt Logan Matt Hardy def. Chuck Palumbo World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker def. Festus (non-title)
BOSTON Come Backlash, Im gonna knock your teeth down your throat. Those were Shawn Michaels ominous words to pay-per-view opponent, Batista, on Friday Night SmackDown.
Ever since he ended Ric Flairs career at WrestleMania XXIV, HBK hasnt heard the end of it from Batista. First, The Animal confronted the Showstopper last Friday on SmackDown, calling his actions selfish and wrong. (WATCH) Things escalated even further between the two on Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel on Monday Night Raw. (WATCH)
On SmackDown, the two Backlash opponents exchanged more hostile words in a Face-to-Face confrontation in the ring. Things almost became physical when HBK went in for Sweet Chin Music, but Batista backed away before HBK could connect. The Animal then went for a Batista Bomb, but HBK was able to avoid his grasp. (WATCH)
Regarding their encounter at Backlash, WWE commentator Michael Cole predicted: I believe were going to witness one of the most emotional and personal matches ever.
Punjabi Peace Offering If you tuned into SmackDown a little late, you might have wondered what a container of Ganges River water, a bottle of Indian Scotch, a live chicken and a goat were doing in the ring. They were all part of a Punjabi Peace Offering from The Great Khali to Big Show meant to quell the brewing tensions between the two 7-footers. I cant describe how I feel, but I can show you, Big Show said about the offering as he proceeded to knock out the The Punjab Giant with one punch. (WATCH)
Distracting Diva The SmackDown Divas have a newcomer in their ranks Natalya Neidhart, daughter of legendary WWE Superstar Jim The Anvil Neidhart. Last week on SmackDown, she viciously attacked Michelle McCool after a brawl between Victoria and McCool. (WATCH) Tonight, she issued a bold warning to her fellow Divas: When you mess with the best, you go down with the rest! Later, Natalya targeted the All American Diva again to help Victoria pick up a win. (WATCH)
Here to slay Last Friday on SmackDown, powerful Russian Superstar Vladimir Kozlov burst onto the scene with a commanding victory over Matt Bentley. Tonight, Kozlov repeated his raw display of power, adding Matt Logan to his list of victims. (WATCH)
On a roll Since Matt Hardy played spoiler in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania XXIV, United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter has been firmly in his sights. Last week on SmackDown, the two clashed in a vicious battle, with Hardy earning a victory in their non-title bout. This week, Hardy faced SmackDown big man Chuck Palumbo. With MVP looking on as a guest commentator, Hardy used his signature Twist of Fate to finish Palumbo. While on commentary, the cocky MVP challenged Hardy to a rematch next week in London. When will these two clash again?
Shillelagh Shenanigans The Irish duo of Finlay and the returning Hornswoggle were up to their old tricks on SmackDown. First, Hornswoggle fooled his fathers opponent, Matt Striker, by tossing a bucket of fake confetti water toward him. With Strikers guard down, Finlay was able to douse him with a real bucket of water. Later, Hornswoggle whacked Striker in the back with an inflatable Shillelagh. With Striker distracted by the pint-size prankster once again, Finlay seized the opportunity to knock the intellectual Superstar out cold with a real Shillelagh. After the academic pinfall, Hornswoggle celebrated his dads win by delivering a Tadpole Splash from the top rope onto Striker.
Rejected WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison continued their winning ways by defeating Jimmy Wang Yang & Shannon Moore. A swinging neck breaker from The Miz allowed him to pin Yang, giving the champs their second straight win over the two men they have lampooned on their WWE.com Dirt Sheet in recent weeks. (WATCH The Dirt Sheet)
Biscuits 'n' gravy resting in peace World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker has taken on some of WWEs biggest, baddest and most bizarre Superstars over the years. But even The Deadman was unsure of what he would encounter when he went up against the corn-fed colossus, Festus, who has never been pinned on SmackDown. Festus proved to be no country bumpkin, giving Undertaker a run for his money. But with referee Charles Robinson knocked out from a collision with Festus, the colossus fell victim to Undertakers deadly, breath-robbing submission hold. With Festus nearly unconscious, referee Jimmy Korderas ran into the ring to call the bout, giving Undertaker the win. (WATCH)

She wrote on her MySpace page in a blog posted earlier today: "I have been told by 2 back surgeons that I should never set foot in a wrestling ring again if I want to be moving around in a few years on my own. Pretty depressing if you ask me." She also added, "My health is doing ok as far as back problems. I must say there are days that I wake up and ask myself why the heck I put my body through what I did the last few years but it's all worth it. I can never trade all of the awesome experiences that I have had in the WWE and of course all of the great life long friends that I have made along the way." Torrie also talks about WrestleMania weekend, heading over to Japan to do promotional work for WWE, staying home after being on the road practically every week for the past seven years, and more.

SUPERSTARS SCHEDULED TO APPEAR: Undertaker Batista Edge Big Show The Great Khali CM Punk Chavo Guerrero Matt Hardy Mark Henry John Morrison MVP Michelle McCool
CM Punk def. WWE Tag Team Champion The Miz Elijah Burke def. Nunzio Kofi Kingston def. Domino Tommy Dreamer def. Colin Delaney
BOSTON For weeks now, Colin Delaney has faced a multitude of obstacles in his quest to earn a coveted WWE contract. Last week on ECW, it was none other than The Largest Athlete in The World, Big Show, who put a quick and crushing end to his contract dream. Tonight, the young upstart was matched up against possibly his only ally in WWE Tommy Dreamer. Despite their friendship, things werent going to be easy for Delaney. As ordered by ECW General Manager Armando Estrada, if Dreamer lost the match he would be fired. So, the veteran did what he had to do and took care of business against Delaney. (WATCH) Better luck next time, kid.
Ever since ascending the ladder at WrestleMania XXIV, Mr. Money in the Bank CM Punk has enjoyed life at the top. Last week he partnered with ECW Champion Kane to defeat Chavo Guerrero & Shelton Benjamin in tag action. Tonight, Punk defeated WWE Tag Team Champion The Miz. Early in the match, Mizs tag team partner John Morrison tried to get involved but before the Shaman of Sexy could pull any shenanigans, ECW referee Scott Armstrong ordered him to leave ringside. Even with that distraction, Punk was able to make The Miz Go to Sleep. Whats next for the Straightedge Superstar who wields the ability to challenge for a championship match at any time?
Kofi Kingston, who sits at No. 22 in the WWE.com POWER 25, was also in action against Domino. A few weeks ago, it was Dominos partner, Deuce, who experienced trouble in paradise or the other side of the tracks in his eyes at the hands of the Jamaican Superstar. Tonight, Kofi completed the sweep to keep his ECW unbeaten streak alive.
Coming off his second straight THQ Superstar Challenge victory at WrestleMania XXIV, Elijah Burke continued his winning ways by making quick work of ECW Original Nunzio by quickly finishing him off with a vicious clothesline. With his winning ways back on track, whats the next big thing for the ECW Superstar?
Before the ink could dry on the Backlash contract signed by ECW Champion Kane, his challenger, Chavo Guerrero, had other plans before putting pen to paper. First, he introduced a mysterious large man who will be watching Chavos back at Backlash. With Kane distracted by the unknown individual, Curt Hawkins, Zack Ryder & Guerrero launched a surprise attack on the champion. The mystery man then felled Kane with his own title, and to add further insult helped Hawkins & Ryder hold the Big Red Monster prone on the contract table. Chavo took advantage of the vulnerable champion by leaping from the top rope onto Kane, smashing him through the table with a frog splash. As the champion lay amongst the debris, Chavo sealed their rematch at Backlash with his signature.
The Miami Herald has a new interview online with TNA wrestler "Cowboy" James Storm. In the piece, Storm comments on his former Americas Most Wanted tag team partner Chris Harris.
"Everybody thought that [Wildcat] Chris [Harris] would be the breakout star of the team," Storm said. "Nobody really knew what I could do because nobody's ever seen me as a singles' person. They've always seen me as a tag team person."
"I'm glad I can say I proved everybody wrong," Storm continued. "I wish [Chris] luck in whatever he does, but I'm here in TNA, and I'm glad I'm making a mark as a singles' wrestler now."
Trish Stratus appeared on Live Audio Wrestling on Sunday night. When asked about TNA, she said she's watched their show and thinks its "amazing." Trish said that she loves the fact that every girl in TNA works. On whether she watches WWE, she said she doesn't really watch the show anymore, but keeps up with things online and by listening to Live Audio Wrestling every Sunday. Trish also reiterates her thoughts on the "BunnyMania" match at WrestleMania, saying that there is a place for that kind of stuff, but that WWE should have had a women's storyline involving Beth Phoenix & her title for the show as well. Trish goes on to say that she didn't like the situation one bit.
ALBANY, N.Y. After an emotional Raw last week which saw a farewell to Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels and Batista were guests on Intercontinental Champion Chris Jerichos Highlight Reel on Raw, just days after the two Superstars had a volatile exchange on SmackDown. (WATCH) Both HBK and The Animal once again stood by their respective arguments in regards to Ric Flairs retirement courtesy of Michaels but the issue between the two has boiled over and will officially explode at Backlash.
Live on pay-per-view on April 27, Batista and Shawn Michaels will go one-on-one, with The Animal looking for retribution after HBK ended his mentors career at WrestleMania XXIV. But as Michaels told our fans and Batista on the Highlight Reel, I did what anyone would have done, even you Batista. When Michaels pressed Batista to do something about his anger over the Nature Boys retirement, The Animal responded, I already did.
What will happen when these two Superstars collide at Backlash? Will Batista gain the measure of revenge he seeks against Michaels? Or will HBK show The Animal the same fire he displayed when he put an end to Ric Flairs illustrious 36-year career? For HBK, WrestleMania was the hardest night of his career. Will it be much harder for Michaels at Backlash against Batista?
Tag Team turmoil As things heat up between those former champions, the Raw tag team division is sweltering with both the champions and the hungry challengers to the gold.
After suffering embarrassment last week in defeat to ex-girlfriend Maria, Santino Marella re-formed his partnership with Carlito on Raw to take on World Tag Team Champions, Cody Rhodes & Hardcore Holly. Making a strong statement of their own, Carlito & Santino defeated the champions in a non-title match when Marella pinned Cody Rhodes.
Paul London & Brian Kendrick have been on a roll of their own as of late, piling up the victories while aiming to once again reach the top of the tag division. On Raw, the duo defeated Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch using their high-flying style of offense when Kendrick pulled a pin out of nowhere on Murdoch. After the loss, Cade showed his growing frustration in the ring, glaring at his longtime partner, Murdoch.
Lastly, following their tag team win last week, Cryme Tyme was on Raw again, this time for their WrestleMania clearance sale. If you desire it, well acquire it, is the new motto of JTG & Shad, and the duo lived up to that motto kind of. (WATCH)
Glamazon dominant After dominating in the BunnyMania Match at WrestleMania, Womens Champion Beth Phoenix showed Maria why the gold is firmly in The Glamazons grasp. Maria, who continues to show her own improvements in the ring, fell victim to the power of Phoenix, whose stock continues to rise on Raw turning away every challenger she has faced to hold on to her title. (WATCH)
Diva double take Ashley teamed with Mickie James to face the team of Melina & Jillian on Monday night, and the beautiful duo of Ashley & Mickie James earned the victory when the former Womens Champion, James, pinned Melina. Will the win help catapult Mickie James back into the hunt for the Womens Championship?
Samoan decimation Umaga competed for the first time since his loss to Batista at WrestleMania XXIV, and the Samoan Bulldozer returned to Raw more destructive than ever. Showing the intensity that has made him one of the most feared competitors in WWE, Umaga tore Val Venis apart in the ring before destroying him with the Samoan Spike.
Backlash to four corners WWE Champion Randy Orton began the night believing he would go one-on-one with JBL at Backlash, but the tide quickly turned on the Legend Killer. Raw General Manager William Regal put Triple H into a Handicap Match against Orton & JBL, and when The Game won, he made the Backlash match a Triple Threat for the title.(WATCH) Not to be outdone, John Cena also pleaded his case to Regal, who gave the former WWE Champion the same Handicap Match ultimatum. After Ortons intended interference failed, Cena pulled out the win, thus, the championship match at Backlash is now a Fatal Four Way starring former WWE Champions.(

WWE superstar in steroid story revealed Posted by Bobby Spade on 04/07/2008 at 02:59 PM
from wsbtv.com:
LOCUST GROVE, Ga. -- A Henry County man claims he found a stash of steroids hidden in the attic of a house where a professional wrestler once lived. Paperwork in the boxes could link them to wrestler Mike Knox, according to police.
Former WWE and TNA wrestler Andrew "Test" Martin was arrested in Florida on Sunday morning for driving under the influence.
According to the police report, Martin was pulled over by an off-duty police officer after she spotted a "reckless vehicle". A Florida Highway Patrol trooper responded and pulled him over. She noticed Martin's eyes were glassy and bloodshot and his speech was slurred. When he stepped out of the car, Martin was "unsteady and shaking" but agreed to do field-sobriety tests for the trooper. He failed.
Martin was arrested on charges of DUI and driving while his license was suspended or revoked. He was taken to jail after refusing to submit to a urine test.
"The defendant was constantly falling asleep in my vehicle," the trooper wrote. He was released later that evening after posting $500 bail.
TNA wrestler Kurt Angle is featured on the cover of the latest issue of Fighting Spirit Magazine. The headline on the cover reads Kurt Angle: "I Gave You Seven Years Of My Life. Five Broken Necks. F**K You Vince". You can see the cover at this link. They have an interview with Angle, which is where they got the quote from. "In WWE, I asked for that I asked to go part time like those guys and Vince said, "I can't do it. We have five hours of programming youre too important. Well, screw you, Vince. I gave you seven years of my life. Five broken necks. F**k you. At that stage I was already talking to Dixie, so I knew I was leaving and going to a better place, and TNA has exploded."
Angle also talks about being bored in WWE when he was under contract to them, and checking out the competition. Angle reveals what McMahon said to him when he said that WWE should use lightweight wrestlers such as AJ Styles and Chris Sabin instead of the likes of Batista. "At that point WWE was so stagnant. I was wrestling the same guys all the time and I was bored. I started watching TNA and I was like, "Oh my God, just look at AJ Styles! Look at Abyss! Look at Samoa Joe, hes awesome! Look at Chris Sabin or Alex Shelley or even Sonjay Dutt! I wanna wrestle these guys! Why dont we have guys like these in WWE?" So I asked, "Vince what are you doing? Why are we picking up guys like Batista, who are 65", 300 pounds and cant even wrestle?" This was back when he couldnt wrestle he can now. I was saying, "Why dont we pick up AJ hes only 190 pounds but he's f**king awesome!" And Vince was like, "Kurt, youre the real deal, so you can be 510", 200 pounds, but we need the big guys." "No we dont, Vince dont discriminate! Let a 59" guy win the title!"
Angle also talks about why Chris Jericho will never join the upper echelon in WWE (saying McMahon is holding Jericho down to his height), Brock Lesnar in UFC, Karen Angle, and more. Also in the interview, Angle forgets the name of The Great Khali; "Kalip or Dalip or whatever."
