Edge def. Jack Swagger Self-professed co-Unified Divas Champion Layla def. Kelly Kelly WWE Tag Team Champions Dashing Cody Rhodes & Drew McIntyre def. Kofi Kingston & Kaval Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler def. MVP - Intercontinental Championship Match Rey Mysterio def. Alberto Del Rio
TOPEKA, Kan. The Ultimate Underdog Rey Mysterio overcame the odds yet again, roaring back from a serious wrist injury to give his attacker, Alberto Del Rio, his first loss on SmackDown.
Rey Mysterio def. Alberto Del Rio (PHOTOS | WATCH) After suffering a broken wrist at the hands of Alberto Del Rio which sidelined him for more than a month Rey Mysterio returned to action, focused on retribution. Del Rio arrived in style, driving a brand-new Rolls Royce and looking to finish off his masked adversary.
But when Del Rios personal announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez, elected to get involved in the explosive match, The Ultimate Underdog fired back. Using his incredible athletic ability to hurl Del Rio into Rodriguez, Mysterio hit his aristocratic nemesis with a 619-splash combination, taking the smile off his face as he handed him his first loss since coming to WWE.
Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler def. MVP in an Intercontinental Championship Match (PHOTOS | WATCH) On WWE NXT this past Tuesday, Vickie Guerrero was pinned by her NXT Rookie Diva, Kaitlyn, thanks in part to an apparently accidental distraction by Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler. Following the match, Kaitlyn hugged Ziggler, leaving Guerrero absolutely livid.
Back on SmackDown still visibly upset over the incident SmackDowns Official Consultant walked out on Ziggler during his title match against MVP. However, when Kaitlyn emerged and grabbed The Ballin Superstars boot, the bleach-blond champion used the distraction to hit the Zig Zag on the Franchise Playa and capture the victory. Following the match, Guerrero emerged, screaming at both her boyfriend and her NXT Rookie Diva.
World Heavyweight Champion Kane and Paul Bearer returned united from Hell in a Cell (PHOTOS | WATCH) After betraying The Undertaker at WWE Hell in a Cell, Paul Bearer enthusiastically emerged to introduce the demented Superstar that single-handedly destroyed the myth of The Phenom, World Heavyweight Champion Kane. The Devils Favorite Demon declared that The Deadman now answers to him. He also claimed that when it comes to his hellish showdown with his brother, they are just warming up.
Kofi Kingston & Kaval vs. WWE Tag Team Champions Dashing Cody Rhodes & Drew McIntyre (PHOTOS | WATCH) After Cody Rhodes tossed Kofi Kingston out of the ring, Drew McIntyre distracted Kaval long enough for his Dashing partner to execute the Cross Rhodes and secure the victory for the WWE Tag Team Champions. Despite another explosive display by Kaval, his latest defeat reinforced his winless record since proving victorious on WWE NXT season two.
Big Show takes command for WWE Bragging Rights (PHOTOS | WATCH) After Big Show announced that he had been named captain of Team SmackDown at WWE Bragging Rights, The Worlds Largest Athlete introduced the team mascot, Hornswoggle. Next, Caylen Croft & Trent Barreta interrupted, offering to be part of the team on the upcoming pay-per-view. However, Big Show couldnt figure out who they actually were. As The Dudebusters became agitated, the gigantic team captain took Hornswoggles suggestion and executed an earth-shattering double chokeslam on both irate Superstars.
Self-professed co-Unified Divas Champion Layla def. Kelly Kelly (PHOTOS | WATCH) Five days after Natalya defeated Michelle McCool by disqualification in the Unified Divas Championship Match at Hell in a Cell, she accompanied Kelly Kelly to the ring as the beautiful blond Diva prepared to face Layla. The English-born champion triumphed over her sultry opponent with the neckbreaker. However, the self-professed co-Unified Divas Champion fell short in a post-match confrontation with the Hart Dynasty Diva, who nearly locked in the Sharpshooter before Michelle could pull her B.F.F. to safety.
Edge def. Jack Swagger (PHOTOS | WATCH) As Michael Cole the self-proclaimed Voice of WWE joined the SmackDown announce team for the evening, General Manager Theodore Long welcomed back the Superstar who he personally traded for with Monday Night Raw, Edge.
Jack Swagger emerged to take on The Rated-R Superstar, with his Swagger Soaring Eagle in tow. During the extremely personal match-up, Edge truly flipped the bird, Spearing Swaggers endangered mascot off the ring apron. After the eagle was removed on a stretcher, The Ultimate Opportunist went on to reign supreme over The All-American American for the second time in a week, avoiding the ankle lock to blast his adversary with another Spear.
With The Ultimate Opportunist firmly back on SmackDown to continue his personal crusade against stupidity (WWE offers Edge a list of stupidity), the question remains, who if anyone was he traded for?
- According to Kevin Nash, he will be done with TNA after tomorrows Bound For Glory pay-per-view. Nash wrote the following on Twitter:
4 days left and Im done ,hope you that enjouyed me and are left happy .I always did my best with a beaten body. thanks and goodbye. Time to be a husban and dad this part of my life is over.If Im woprth nothing than I need to stay at home. Thanks TNA 4 letting me go.
Nash later wrote no WWE after fans asked if he was leaving TNA for his old stomping grounds.
Batista getting ready to return to WWE? Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 10/07/2010 at 04:50 PM
When reports first broke that Batista was considering a mixed martial arts debut with Strikeforce, many doubted that the former WWE Champion was ever realistically planning to step into a cage fight. Sources, however, persistently said the debut was going to happen, with fellow WWE wrestler-turned-fighter Bobby Lashley being eyed as an ideal first opponent. The persistence, combined with photos of Batista training with Team Cesar Gracie, kept the discussion alive.
But if a quote attributed to Batista from earlier this week proves true, one can officially table the rumors of Big Dave entering the world of mixed martial arts, at least in the near term.
Joint reporting from MMA Supremacy and Bloody Elbow reveals that Batista is no longer planning for an imminent cage debut and is instead looking towards future involvement with WWE.
I will not be doing MMA/Strikeforce any time soon. So you can see me in the future of the WWE, said Batista, according to the story.
The news, which comes in the wake of web stories about Batistas high asking price, should not be surprising.
Heyman goes into detail about his TNA plans Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 10/08/2010 at 05:27 PM
In an interview with MMAFighting.com, Paul Heyman goes into detail about what he had planned for TNA if he had joined the promotion:
"It came real close with TNA. To me, it was more of a deal with Spike TV and then a stock and ownership deal involving TNA. I had a five-year plan. I was going to spend 18 months building the roster, the next 18 months exploiting that built roster, that's three years in, go public in three, stay for two more running it and get out at 50 [years old]. That was my plan. I had an exit plan. I had a five-year plan and I clued everyone into it. I told TNA what my plan was and I told Spike TV what my plan was and how we would capitilaze on it and how we would make this thing move and an acknowledgement that wrestling is a diminishing market and it's not perceived as cool and here's how you, if not change course, at least present it differently so that at least you have a chance in today's marketplace to at least compete."
"When that didn't happen, that was it. I didn't have any other interest in doing it. It was close. I would have done it for that particular deal and that's it. That time passed. Now I'm looking at taking my abilities elsewhere and the logical step for me is this entry point right now both into MMA and into also just the branding world."
Ex-member of McMahon's inner circle joins TNA Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 10/07/2010 at 04:47 PM

Bruce Prichard, a former WWE talent and office staff member, has joined TNAs production staff. He was on hand at a TNA agent meeting held in Orlando earlier today.
Prichard has been out of wrestling since December 2008 and was a key member of Vince McMahons inner circle during his time in WWE. The decision to release him came from Stephanie McMahon because she felt it was time for him to move on, a decision her father mutually agreed with. Prichard was with WWE for 22 years.

Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso def. The Hart Dynasty (PHOTOS | WATCH) Much like the duo of Curt Hawkins & Vance Archer, Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith have looked less like a team in recent weeks and more like bickering enemies. The source of The Hart Dynastys problems can be traced back to Night of Champions where they lost their WWE Tag Team Titles in a wild Tag Team Turmoil Match after being defeated by The Usos. On WWE Superstars, The Harts were able to lock up with the men who beat them that night, but the Hart Dungeon-trained duo failed to reclaim the flawless teamwork that helped them rule WWEs tag division. After a big miscue caused Kidd and Smith to brutally bang into each other, Kidd was nailed by top rope splashes from both Jimmy & Jey Uso, leading to another disappointing loss. What will it take for this duo to turn things around?
William Regal def. Darren Young (PHOTOS | WATCH) Since being exiled from The Nexus the night after SummerSlam, Darren Young has struggled to find his way in WWE on his own. The former NXT Rookies woes continued tonight as he tried to score a singles victory over the snide William Regal, but failed to outwrestle the experienced British veteran. As WWEs newest commentator, Scott Stanford observed, Young shows promise, but hell need to step his game up if he wants to make a name for himself in WWE.
Chris Masters def. Vance Archer (PHOTOS | WATCH) Only a few months ago, the team of Vance Archer & Curt Hawkins were making serious waves in WWE after fighting their way into earning SmackDown contracts. But after suffering some disappointing losses in recent weeks, including a Handicap Match against Big Show, the team looked to be splintering. This developing animosity reared its ugly head tonight as Archer and Hawkins erupted into a war of words after a miscue caused Archer to clothesline his partner instead of Chris Masters. But the hostility didnt end there. After Archer lost the match, Hawkins attacked him and nailed him with a huge elbow drop from the top rope. After a brutal act like that, it doesnt take a genius to see where this team is headed.
The show started off with Abyss dragging a histerical Dixie Carter through the back of the iMPACT Zone. He had her handcuffed to himself. Once he was out and amongst the crowd he had one last question for her before Sunday. He asked if she preferred Janice or Bob. Finally Eric Bischoff and security came running out. Bischoff convinced him to let her go. Eric then said to go to a commercial, but we stayed with the action and Stings music began to play. Out walked Sting, Kevin Nash, and The Pope. Then we went to commercial.
Pope started off the talking. He talked about how the walls would come down at Bound For Glory and that theyd come down on Bischoff. After some back and forth Bischoff said it is just about Sting and Hogan. Sting said he was right, that is what its all about. Sting said the only way to end it was for Hogan to get back in the ring at BFG, he asked if he was ready to put it all on the line. Bischoff simply said he had nothng to say to Sting. Then out came Jeff Jarrett and Samoa Joe. Bischoff stopped them, and told them hed give them an answer. He went on to explain how Hogan was in intensive care after surgery, and then showed a video clip of Hogan in the hospital and having his operation. After the video Bischoff said, if they want to kick his ass then go ahead. He then proposed making the match at BFG a Handicap Match against Joe and Jarrett.
We then suddenly cut to the back where Mickie James was arriving!
After a commercial we see a review of Jeff Hardy vs. Kurt Angle.
Then we see Team 3D in New York City. Brother Ray said at BGF they would be making the biggest announcement of their career.
Match #1: Winner owns the rights to the Beautiful People name and music Match Tara & Madison Rayne vs. Angelina Love & Velvet Sky Halfway through Angelina and Velvets entrance Tara and Madison attacked. Miss Tessmacher was standing at the top of the ramp taking notes. After a Total Elimination type double team move Angelina got the pin.
As Madison began yelling at Tara, Miss Tessmacher interupted. She went over how the match at BFG would go. She then pointed out that there would be a special guest referee Mickie James! Mickie James pointed out that after she raises the winners hand that shed be coming for the TNA Knockouts Title. She wanted to make history by being the first women to hold every major title known to womenkind. See, moments like this is what make wrestling good. Even though I knew she was going to be on iMPACT! tonight, I got that extra excited feeling when it actually happened. Just like two weeks ago when Paul Bearer made his return. Knew it was going to happen days ahead of time, but when it did it gave me chills.
After a commercial we went to the back where Dixie Carter tells Eric to fire Abyss tonight. He said hed handle it. She said he wants him to do it in the ring in front of everyone and humiliate him like he did to her tonight.
Match #2: Last Man Standing Match Ric Flair vs. Mick Foley Mick Foley came out with his eye bandaged up from where he beat himself to a bloody pulp last week. Flair ripped off the bandage right away and began pounding on the wound. Foley began gushing blood instantly. Foley grabbed a bat wrapped in barbed wire from under the steel ring steps. He hit Flair in the face with it a couple times which obviously cut him wide open. Flair was just gushing blood as he always does when he gets cut open. They fought up the ramp to the announce table. After Foley grinded the barbed wire into Flairs face some more, Flair tossed him off the stage down through a table. Off to a commercial. During the commerical break Flair was beating Foley over the head with a copy of Foleys book Countdown to Lockdown. The fans were now chanting, Lets go Flair! Lets go Foley!. Flair retrieved a bag of thumbtacks from under the ring and spread them out in the ring. It backfired thought when Foley hit him with a Back Body Drop sending him crashing down right on top of the tacks. Foley then went out and got a Barbed Wire Board! After punching him about 20 times Flair went down in the corner. Foley grabbed the board and charged at him. Flair was just writhing in pain. There was blood everywhere! Next Foley went for a table. As he set the table up the fans were chanting fire. When Foley went towards Flair he was met with a couple low blows. Flair then laid him out on the table, grabbed the Barbed Wire Board and slammed it down onto Foley! Flair then climbed to the top rope and hit Foley on the table with a big Splash! In my best Joey Styles voice OH MY GOD! Referee Earl Hebner started a ten count, and Foley got up, Flair almost did, but then colapsed. Both men were a bloody mess.
I was truly concerned going into this match that it would simply be a Battle of the Aged rather than a Battle for the Ages, but WOW I was so wrong. What an incredible match!!! Especially for two old guys! lol After the match Foley grabbed a mic and pointed out that Flair added one stipulation to the match. He told Flair to get back in the ring and kiss his ass just as he said he would. At least Foley was nice about it, he said he wasnt going to pull his trunks down, but Flair was going to kiss his dimpled ass. At that point all of Fortune hit the ring and attacked. Luckily EV2.0 came out pretty quick to put an end to it.
To the back with Eric Bischoff headed out to the ring. He called out Abyss and off to a commercial we went. After the break he was still waiting for Abyss. Instead of Abyss we got Rob Van Dams music and RVDs entrance. He said that if Abyss gets fired tonight and he doesnt get his match against him on Sunday that he is leaving TNA. He kept it short and sweet and left the ring.
We then broke away to tape from Tommy Dreamer and Rhino outside of The Arena, the original ECW arena in Philadelphia with a group of crazed fans. This and the commercial break was obviously just giving them time to clean the ring out before they could move on.
After the break we had a segment with Orlando Jordan teaching Eric Young how to throw a ball at some blocks at an amusement park somewhere. They also talke dabout their upcoming match with Ink, Inc.
Match #3: Orlando Jordan & Eric Young vs. Ink, Inc. (Shannon Moore & Jesse Neal) Eric had a bunch of fake tattoos on his body and then went over to high five Moore and Neal. Jordan controlled the whole match until Eric caused a distraction and allowed Neal to turn it around and get a tag to Moore. Young actually started helping Moore, even slingshoting him into him in the corner. Jordan then went for a pin and had his feet on the ropes, but EY pointed it out to the ref. Jordan then actually got the pin. EY tackled the ref, then grabbed a mic and after some comedy said he and Orlando forfeit the match. He then proposed they do the match again at BFG.
Then to a clip with Jay Lethal at his childhood home in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
Afte rthe break, Dixie, Eric, and RVD are talking in the back. Dixie then signed a form that made it official that win, lose, or draw Abyss is fired on 10-11-10.
Robbie E. and Cookie, aka The Shore came to the ring and grabbed some mics. Dear Lord, this is Zack Ryder multiplied by 100 annoying! Also, someone should show Robbie some video footage of Curry Man so he can see he is doing more Curry Man than he is doing The Situation in his fist pump action.
Match #4: $100,000 Bound For Glory Gauntlet Style Invitational Battle Royal A new competitor will enter every 45 seconds.
Order of entrance and elimination in order: Match started off with Kurt Angle and Mr. Anderson first in the ring. Enter: Jeff Hardy Enter: A.J. Styles (Comemrcial) (During the break) Enter: Doug Williams Enter: Sabu Enter: Max Buck Enter: Chris Sabin (Back from commercial) Enter: Tommy Dreamer Enter: Jay Lethal Enter: Jeff Jarrett Enter: The Pope Dangelo Dinero Enter: Robert Roode Enter: Sting (Commercial) (During the break) Enter: Jeremy Buck Enter: Raven Enter: Stevie Richards Enter: Kazarian (Back from commercial) Enter: Abyss 1st & 2nd Eliminations: Doug Williams & Sabu (Clotheslined by Abyss simultaneously.) 3rd Elimination: Jay Lethal (Thrown out by Abyss) 4th Elimination: Stevie Richards (Thrown out by Abyss) 5th Elimination: Chris Sabin (by Abyss) 6th Elimination: Raven (by Abyss) At this point EVERYONE attacked Abyss. Then Sting charged in and Splashed the pile. Sting charged again once the pile had moved. 7th Elimination: Sting (Abyss caught him as he tried for a Splash and tossed him out.) Enter: Kevin Nash Enter: Matt Morgan Enter: Samoa Joe 8th & 9th Eliminations: Matt Morgan & Kevin Nash (by Abyss simultaneously) Enter: James Storm 10th & 11th Eliminations: Max and Jeremy Buck (by Abyss Abyss was sent over the top rope, but was on te apron. Generation Me charged, Abyss grabbed them both by the throat and pulled them out over the rope and to the floor.) Enter: Alex Shelley Enter: Rhino 12th Elimination: Kazarian (by Abyss) 13th Elimination: Rhino (by Abyss) 14th Elimination: Jeff Jarrett (by Abyss) 15th Elimination: The Pope (by Abyss) 16th Elimination: Alex Shelley (by Abyss) 17th Elimination: Samoa Joe (by Abyss) 18th Elimination: Robert Roode (by Abyss) 19th Elimination: James Storm (by Abyss) 20th Elimination: Tommy Dreamer (by Abyss) 21st Elimination: A.J. Styles (by Abyss) 22nd Elimination: Jeff Hardy (by Abyss) After a long long break of people coming into the ring Enter: Rob Van Dam RVD attacked Abyss. He charged at him and went flying to the floor eliminating himself, but then Abyss also came out to the floor with the momentum. 23rd Elimination: Rob Van Dam (by Himself technically) 24th Elimination: Abyss (by RVD) 25th Elimination: Mr. Anderson (by Kurt Angle) Winner of the $100,000 Battle Royal: The Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle

Vince McMahon said to be high on Michael Cole Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 10/06/2010 at 08:18 PM
Credit: PWInsider.com
Michael Cole is expected to be appearing on Smackdown more often in addition to RAW. Vince McMahon is pretty high on the outspoken commentator at the moment and feels that he would help establish the show on SyFy, which is very important to the company right now with its move to a new network. The way Cole effectively delivers messages from creative and the way he plays his on-air character are things that have pleased McMahon recently.
As mentioned earlier, Todd Grisham is not so over with McMahon right now and some feel thats another reason for Coles move.
- According to Dave Meltzer, Alberto Del Rio was actually very close to quitting not long ago. He was saying he wasnt making much money and wanted to return to Mexico. This is around the time they started bringing him on the road and planning the promos that aired on Smackdown.
Big changes coming to WWE soon? Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 10/06/2010 at 05:06 PM

The feeling within WWE creative is that things need to change and be shaken up. Its expected that something big will be happening soon and it may have been decided on already, but is being kept a secret and most of the creative team doesnt even know what it will be. Its being said that things will be different in January of next year. Since nobody knows what that means, nobody can tell if its going to be a good or bad thing.

According to Dave Meltzer, Todd Grisham has been taking the brunt of Vince McMahons unhappiness with announcing lately. Michael Cole was put on the live SmackDown debut because Vince has been unhappy with Grisham. At one point, Vince cut a promo on Grisham backstage, saying how the show was important and Grisham wasnt getting the job done.
- WWE has sent word to people in Mexico that they are looking to bring in more stars from that country. WWE wants the talents to have a good size and be able to speak English.

- Hardy on his feud with C.M. Punk: "I don't think he (Punk) appreciates it as much as he should... I was proud I was able to do that for Punk (help get him over), despite our relationship off screen."
- Hardy on his brother Matt Hardy: "When it comes to Twitter and YouTube, he loves that....he lives for that. I don't necessarily agree with what he's doing, but I'm all about creative control of yourself and if you want to go out there and do something different and express yourself so I kinda look at it like that. Oh, you want to express yourself as Matthew and Matt, ok fine man, I'm just gonna trust you on this. I dont necessarily agree with that, but go for it."
- Hardy on getting Matt and Hurricane Helms to TNA: "It'd be great. Hurricane Helms is pretty much out there as a free agent. I've always wanted to bring a (illegible) group back, which I think would be huge so there's a good opportunity for that, so we'll see, we'll see what happens.

Angle on the World's Greatest Tag Team Coming to TNA: "I've been really pushing for that guys, I really have," said Angle. "I really want Shelton and Charlie on board. Right now, TNA have discussed it, but haven't done anything about. We're brought in so many guys from WWE, and TNA has their own homegrown talent and a mix of WWE talent."
The Pope talks about how TNA is "family-like" Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 10/05/2010 at 02:32 AM
Mike Mooneyham interviewed TNA star "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero about his path to a career in professional wrestling including enrolling in the police academy, competing in amateur boxing, and his NWA roots.
On the difference between WWE and TNA, the former WWE superstar replied: "The major difference is the atmosphere. The atmosphere starts at the top and then goes down to the bottom. The atmosphere we live in is above you because the top is so smooth, and I'm talking about (TNA president) Dixie Carter. It's so smooth and relaxed and family-like. The vibe is just so good. And that's the biggest difference.
This week on RAW, the General Manager announced that Edge had been traded from RAW to SmackDown!. There are plans to switch some of the talent between the brands now that SmackDown! is on SyFy, with at least one more move in the next few weeks. Edge will be feuding with Jack Swagger over on SmackDown!.
As noted before, Edge has been traded to SmackDown by the RAW General Manager. It appears that CM Punk will be going to RAW now after a new line-up has been issued for the RAW live event on Friday night in Anaheim, California. Edge has been replaced on the card by Punk in a match against R-Truth.
Mark Henry & Evan Bourne def. John Cena & Michael Tarver Natalya def. Alicia Fox U.S. Champion Daniel Bryan def. Sheamus by Disqualification The Bella Twins def. "Co-Unified Divas Champions" Lay-Cool Wade Barrett won a 20-Man Battle Royal
WICHITA, Kan. - WWE has been forever altered. One night after Hell in a Cell, John Cena, arguably WWEs brightest Superstar, was forced into a shadowy arrangement with one of the darkest forces Raw has ever known, The Nexus, and the group's petulant principal, Wade Barrett.
Wade Barrett won 20-Man Battle Royal (PHOTOS | WATCH) Wade Barrett should play the lottery and soon. Despite exceedingly long odds, the Englishman emerged victorious in a 20-Man Battle Royal to emerge as the No. 1 contender to the WWE Championship. The Nexus leader added the feat to his lengthy list of accomplishments, including defeating John Cena the night before at Hell in a Cell.
The victory did not come without assistance. Despite his reluctance, The Nexus newest disciple, Cena, assisted the groups leader on several occasions throughout the match. Finally, with Barrett, Cena and Sheamus remaining, the Legendary star tossed the Irishman over the rope. Barrett then called on Cena to fall on his sword and step over the top rope, which The Nexus newest member reluctantly did in order to prevent being fired.
In the wake of the surprise victory, WWE Champion Randy Orton came directly to the ring to taunt his WWE Bragging Rights opponent, flashing the title in the Englishmans face for all the WWE Universe to see.
Goldust took Ted DiBiases Million Dollar Title (PHOTOS | WATCH) Call it Goldlust. For weeks, Ted DiBiase and girlfriend Maryse had received suggestive messages seemingly directed at the golden couple. Although Maryse thought perhaps the messages were a prank, compliments of Raw guest star Johnny Knoxville, she soon realized that the Jackass 3D jester had no part in them.
Rather, Goldust emerged to lay claim not to her or even her loaded lover. Instead, The Bizarre One would wrap his gloved mitts around the Million Dollar Title, which he stole away like a freak in the night.
The Bella Twins def. Co-Unified Divas Champions Lay-Cool (PHOTOS | WATCH) With their mouths firing on all cylinders, Team Lay-Cool sputtered inside the ring. Fresh off of narrowly retaining their self-proclaimed Co-Unified Divas Championships, Michelle McCool & Layla faced off against The Bella Twins. Rather than proving their worth, WWEs Mean Girls instead provided running commentary during their match! The verbose approach failed when McCool found herself pinned and handed a loss.
Raw GM announced 20-Man Battle Royal to determine No. 1 contender to WWE Championship; Edge traded to SmackDown (PHOTOS | WATCH) The anonymous Raw General Manager had had enough of Edges temper tantrums. After the GMs spokesman, Michael Cole, announced a 20-Man Battle Royal would commence later in the evening to determine the No. 1 contender to the WWE Championship at WWE Bragging Rights, he dropped an even bigger bombshell: Edge would not be included. The Rated-R Superstar demanded to know why, and the GM (via Cole) told him it was because he was being traded to SmackDown. Rather than fly off the handle, though, The Ultimate Opportunist seemed more relieved than anything.
After enduring a few verbal jabs from Edge, Cole confronted his tormentor, telling him that his recent woes are self-inflicted. Taking umbrage, Edge appeared ready to punish Cole. Thats when The Miz and his assistant, Alex Riley, intervened and berated Edge for disparaging Cole. The argument escalated, and the three devolved into fisticuffs until The Rated-R Superstar hit Riley with a Spear. A recovered Mr. Money in the Bank, however, quickly took down Edge with a Skull-Crushing Finale.
U.S. Champion Daniel Bryan def. Sheamus by Disqualification (PHOTOS | WATCH) Momentum can only take you so far. Despite prevailing over both The Miz and John Morrison at Hell in a Cell, United States Champion Daniel Bryan would soon discover his limitations in the form of The Celtic Warrior. Having lost in a grueling Hell in a Cell Match against WWE Champion Randy Orton, Sheamus was not in a trifling mood. The Irishman punished Daniel Bryan in a most brutal fashion, getting disqualified, but also reestablishing himself as one of WWEs most feared Superstars.
Natalya def. Alicia Fox (PHOTOS | WATCH) Natalya aimed her Sharpshooter squarely at Alicia Fox and nailed her target. Bret Harts niece entered her singles match clearly still steamed after Hell in a Cell the night before. In her victorious Unified Divas Championship Match against Michelle McCool, Natalya had locked in the lethal submission, but failed to capture the title since McCools BFF, Layla, threw her shoes at her and caused a disqualification.
After forcing Fox to submit, Natalya vowed to not only affix the Sharpshooter on both members of Team Lay-Cool but also to secure the Unified Divas Championship.
Mark Henry & Evan Bourne def. John Cena & Michael Tarver; Raw GM threatened to terminate Cenas contract (PHOTOS | WATCH) John Cena may have been forced to join The Nexus, but he wont be forced to compete not to his potential, anyway. The Nexus newest member paired with Michael Tarver to face Mark Henry & Evan Bourne. It appeared clear to Tarver that his partner was holding back. In fact, when Tarver attempted to tag Cena in, the Legendary star begged off, permitting Henry to prevail for his team with The Worlds Strongest Slam.
After allowing his tag team opponents to win, Cena informed his partner and his new Nexus cohorts, that he plans on doing just one thing: Destroying the group from within. He began by dismantling Tarver in the middle of the ring. His actions, however, would not be tolerated.
Raws anonymous General Manager informed the Legendary star that he must live up to his own stipulations. Having lost to Barrett at Hell in a Cell, Cena must act in good faith. Should he choose to rebel, the Raw GM informed him that his WWE contract will be terminated.
John Cena officially joined The Nexus (PHOTOS | WATCH) Impossible. That seemed to be the most appropriate word to describe it. Less than 24 hours after losing his match to Wade Barrett at Hell in a Cell, John Cena suffered the consequences. As a man of his word, Cena faced Barrett and his cohorts in The Nexus, donned one of their trademark armbands and read a statement describing himself as an official member of the group.
The gutting transformation took place after it was revealed that Cena lost in great measure thanks to season two NXT Rookies Michael McGillicutty and Husky Harris, who interfered at Hell in a Cell. Naturally, Barrett denied any knowledge of their plans. Afterward, he permitted Cena to choose a partner in a tag team match against Mark Henry & Evan Bourne. The Nexus newest and most reluctant member chose a man who, moments earlier, had relished presenting him with his distinctive armband: Michael Tarver.
As John Cena held Wade Barrett in the STF during their bout at last night's Hell in a Cell, two mystery assailants stormed the ring one distracting the referee while the other blasted The Champ in the head with a foreign object, knocking him out cold and giving The Nexus ringleader the duke.
We can now report that the attackers in question were NXT season two contestants Husky Harris and Michael McGillicutty.
After last nights WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view ended, The Undertaker sat in the ring a few minutes before his music started playing. Taker rolled out of the ring and sat there looking confused before leaving.
- Several kids at the show were seen in tears after John Cena lost to Wade Barrett. Some parents and their kids were seen leaving the arena after Cena lost the match.

Triple Threat Submissions Count Anywhere Match for the WWE US Championship - Daniel Bryan (c) vs. John Morrison vs. The Miz w/Alex Riley
John Morrison is the first man out to the ring, and it doesn't sound like he gets much of a reaction, but I can't tell if the crowd is turned down for the benefit of the announcers of not. Bryan is out next, with his awesome theme music, and he too gets a pretty apathetic reaction. The Miz is out next, with a mic in hand. Miz says this is ridiculous. He was the mentor of both men currently in the ring, and neither would be anywhere without the Miz. Miz says without either of them, he'd still be a huge star because he has 'it', and after tonight, he'll be the US Champion. And he never tapped out, because he's the Miz and he's awesome.
The start:
The bell rings and Miz and Bryan hit a double shoulder block to Miz, sending him to the outside. Morrison goes out one sie of the ring, and Bryan the other, and they chase Miz around for a bit before Morrison catches his foot, and Bryan executes a single leg drop kick to Miz's head. Morrison and Bryan trade holds, doing a bit of mat wrestling before Bryan grapevines Morrison's let and wrenches away. Morrison rolls to the outside, but Bryan continues to hold on until Miz kicks him in the back of the head.
Mid-match notes:
Miz picks up Morrison and rams him into the ring apron before sending Bryan into the barricade. Miz rolls Morrison back into the ring where he pounds on him for a bit. Morrison is able to catch Miz off guard and lock in the tarantula, but Bryan breaks it up with a dropkick, sending Morrison to the outside. Bryan locks in Cattle Mutilation! Miz fights right out of it though, so Bryan lays in with some stiff kicks to Miz's chest. Bryan grapevines Miz's leg and Miz screams in pain. Bryan kicks Miz in the head with the submission locked in and he and Miz trade kicks. They roll toward the corner, and Morrison breaks up the submission with a corkscrew moonsault. Morrison locks in what looks to be the Haas of pain, but Miz breaks it up.
Morrison sends Miz to the outside and follows out with a corkscrew plancha. On the outside, Morrison charges Miz, but finds himself backdropped out into the crowd. Morrison tries to fight back, but Miz sends him headfirst into the ringside barricade. Miz locks in an armbar with his knee on Morrison's head, but Morrison fights out of it with a big right hand. Morrison hits Miz with a series of forearms, and he and Miz begin brawling up the stairs deeper into the crowd. Miz locks Morrison in a modified Dragon sleeper wrenching Morrison between the stair railing, and Bryan is there to break it up. Miz comes right back, slamming Bryan head first into a trash can.
Miz continues to chase Bryan and almost finds himself locked in an arm bar, but Miz fights out of it. Miz fights off Morrison, bodyslamming him into a crowd partition. Miz sends Bryan crashing through a barricade. Miz disappears into the back and returns, rolling a big equipment box straight into Morrison before slamming Bryan on top of it. Miz launches the box, with Bryan still on top of it, into the entrance ramp, launching Bryan onto the ramp. Morrison uses the box to drop kick Miz in a terrible fashion. Morrison tries to lock in a submission but Bryan breaks it up. Miz sends Bryan into the barricade and connects with the SCF on Morrison on the concrete.
Miz turns his attention to Bryan and they fight up on the ramp. Both men go for their respective finishers, but neither man can connect. Bryan and Miz both hit simultaneous clotheslines and both are down. Morrison is shown on the side of the stage climbing the scenery. He climbs to the top of a stage Hell in a Cell and leaps off on both Bryan and Morrison with a big cross body.
The finish:
Morrison gets to his knees and grabs Miz's ankle. Morrison locks in a Texas cloverleaf, and Miz is screaming. Alex Riley comes out of nowhere and tosses Morrison off the Miz. Bryan sends Riley crashing into a cameraman and off the stage. Bryan turns his attention to Miz and he's able to lock in the LeBell lock. Miz is forced to tap on the entrance ramp.
Winner & STILL WWE US Champion: Daniel Bryan
Daniel Bryan celebrates with the title, and in a weird move, Cole actually admits that Bryan is the real deal. That's one of the first good calls I've ever heard from Cole.
Hell in a Cell Match for the WWE Championship - Randy Orton (c) vs. Sheamus
We get a video package of the events, beginning at Night of Champions, that have led up to this match. The Cell is being lowered, and Cole notes that this will be the 20th Hell in a Cell match ever. Sheamus is the first man out to the ring, and he gets a decent amount of heat from the crowd. He sizes up the Cell before stepping in. Randy Orton's music hits, and he gets a giant pop from the crowd. He makes his way out to the ring with his title in hand.
The start:
The cell is locked and the bell ring. Orton and Sheamus lock up and push each other around the ring. They eventually break the collar and elbow tie up and just trade blows instead. Orton hits Sheamus with a big clothesline before raking his boot across Sheamus' face. Sheamus is able to get a couple of blows in, in the corner, but Orton comes right back with another clothesline, and another that sends Sheamus over the top to the outside, Orton goes to slam Sheamus' head into the cell, but Sheamus blocks and gets right back into the ring.
Mid-match notes:
Sheamus catches Orton with a shoulder to the gut before launching himself over the top and into the ring with a big shoulderblock. Sheamus hits an elbow drop across Orton's throat on the ring apron. Sheamus tries to slam Orton's head into the cell, and Orton fights it off. Orton tries to whip Sheamus into the cell, but it's reversed, and Orton tastes steel before being clotheslined by Sheamus. Sheamus catches Orton with a boot to the ribs before picking up the ring steps. Sheamus throws them, kind of at Orton, but more at the ropes and they bounce away. Orton responds, picking Sheamus up and ramming him back first into the cell twice before picking up the steps and ramming them into Sheamus' head.
Back in the ring Orton tries for the pin, but Sheamus kicks out at two. Orton tries for a suplex, but Sheamus blocks, and suplexes Orton into the ropes instead. Sheamus hits a shoulderblock to Orton, who's standing on the apron and ends up launched into the cell wall. Sheamus follows to the outside, but only to bring Orton back into the ring. Cover by Sheamus and he gets a two count. Sheamus lays into Orton with several boots in the corner. Orton tries to fight back with a couple of right hands, but a big fist to the gut puts Orton back down to the mat. Sheamus hits Orton with a couple of knees to the ribs.
Sheamus goes for a cover but can't get three. Sheamus goes into the corner and tears off the turnbuckle pad, but when he goes to slam Orton's head into it, Orton blocks it and begins to fight back. A quick blow from Sheamus takes Orton right back down to the mat. Orton rolls to the outside, and Sheamus follows (PG-ishly) raking Orton's face and slamming it into the cell wall. Sheamus sets up the ring steps on their side, choosing to suplex Orton, ribs first, into the steps. Sheamus stands and knees down on Orton's ribs, continuing to wear away at Orton. Back in the ring, Sheamus goes for a cover but he only gets two.
Sheamus locks in a rear chin lock, wrapping his legs around Orton's body, but Orton is able to fight out of it. Sheamus lays into Orton with a couple of kicks to the back, and it's right back into another submission, this time a waistlock. Orton fights to his feet and out of the hold with a big back body drop.
Orton sends Sheamus into the exposed turnbuckle, and both men are slow to get to their feet. Orton and Sheamus trade blows in the middle of the ring, and Orton fights out of a hold only to hit two clotheslines and a power slam on Sheamus. Sheamus misses with a clothesline and walks into a belly to belly suplex that's good for a near fall. Orton hits his signature backbreaker, but Sheamus is quick to get back to his feet and reverses an RKO only to attack the ribs with a high knee to Orton's stomach.
Sheamus goes to the outside, grabs the steel steps and brings them to the inside. Orton tries to fight abck against Sheamus, but Sheamus continues to focus on Orton's ribs. Orton fights out of shoulder breaker position, and delivers a powerslam to Sheamus, planting him on the steps. Orton covers Sheamus, but Sheamus kicks out at two.
Sheamus rolls out to the apron, and Orton tries to go for his rope assisted DDT. Sheamus fights out of it, but Orton grabs his head, and jumps over the top rope, hanging Sheamus up on the top rope. Orton grabs Sheamus by the head, and dragging Sheamus out to the apron, hitting the DDT from the apron to the floor.
Sheamus is pretty quick to get back up to his feet, and he sends Orton shoulder first into the ring post, instead of getting another RKO. Back in the ring, Sheamus goes for, and hits his urunage backbreaker on the ring steps. Sheamus tosses the steps aside and waits for Orton to get back to his feet. Sheamus hits the bicycle kick and goes for the cover but Orton kicks out at two.
Sheamus goes under the ring, where he grabs a chair. Sheamus heads back into the ring and wails away at Orton's back, hitting him about four times in succession. Sheamus covers Orton but still can't get the three count. Sheamus picks up the chair again and waits for Orton to get to his feet. Sheamus swings but Orton ducks. Winner & STILL WWE Champion: Randy Orton
After the match,Orton straps on the title, and he goes to climb the cell, egging the crowd on to cheer for him. Orton makes it to the top pretty darn fast, and he stands on the edge of the cell holding the title high for all to see.
Josh Matthews is standing backstage with the WWE NXT Season 3 Rookies, in an obvious attempt to kill time. He asks one of them how nervous they are, but they're interrupted by the Nexus. Barrett says there's something in the air tonight, and he can feel it. Matthews says that may be the end of Nexus, he reminds Barrett of the stipulations. Barrett says he doesn't like it, and he's fully aware of the situation. He says tonight he's going to win, and then tomorrow night they have a special gift for Cena, Tarver holds up a Nexus arm band. Barrett says right now he may be against them, but after tonight Cena will be Nexus.
In-Ring Segment - Alberto Del Rio
In Another attempt to kill time, Alberto Del Rio's ring announcer (Ricardo Rodriguez) is introduced, and he in turn introduces Alberto Del Rio, who comes out to his usual pomp and circumstance.
Del Rio repeats his name, but he says the crowd already knows that. Tonight is his WWE PPV debut, and he wants to make it special. Del Rio says a man like him can spend days counting his fortune, but instead of that he's here trying to help the crowd. He doesn't want to be cheered for that, the crowd should say thank you. He says first he took out Rey Mysterio, then Christian, so he asks who will be the next to face him. He says he thought this was Texas, where everything was bigger, including the bravado. He says he could buy each and every one of the people in the crowd. He's got more money than Mark Cuban, he's better than Nolan Ryan, and he's more handsome than Tony Romo. Del Rio says that he's better than the crowd, so he's going to challenge anyone. He's interrupted by Edge's music.
Edge makes his way out to the ring, to a big pop. He has a mic, and he says he's not out here to defend Texas, Rey Mysterio, or even Christian. He's out to fight one thing, stupidity. He says there are things about Del Rio that are stupid, like coming out with a chihuahua on Smackdown dressed like Rey Mysterio, and his scarf, they're stupid. He says Alberto Del Rio es muy estupido. Del Rio says he's not stupid, he's the man who's going to hurt Edge, and he winks. Edge calls the wink out, saying it's disturbing and stupid. He calls the ring announcer stupid. Del Rio takes off his jacket, and Jack Swagger interrupts.
Swagger says it's stupid that a Canadian and Mexican are arguing when he's not even on the card tonight. He also says it's not nice that Edger speared the man in the Eagle suit that has medical bill which Edge will pay. Edge says that he can pay Swagger's bills too. Edge tries to jump Swagger, but he's jumped by both men. Del Rio slips out, and Swagger continues to beat down Edge. The I/M noise and light dimming occurs, and apparently Edge will have to apologize to the GM tomorrow night, and he'll have to face Swagger right now.

Swagger catches Edge with a big right hand, and Edge tries to fight back, but Swagger goes behind and hits a beautiful modified gutbuster that's good for a two count.

When Edge goes up to the top again, Swagger jumps right up and hits a super belly to belly suplex, launching Edge across the ring. Swagger goes for the cover but only gets a two count. Swagger hits a belly to back suplex, planting Edge on the canvas, and Swagger's lip looks to be busted open. Swagger goes for the Vader bomb, but Edge jumps to his feet and kicks Swagger in the ribs. Backstage the Nexus, minus Barrett, are shown backstage. Otunga looks to be the ringleader. He says he hasn't been able to run this plan by Barrett, but the Nexus should trust him, because they won't get DQ'ed, and he doesn't want the Nexus to break up. Otunga says he'll explain on the way, and they walk off.

Wade Barrett is the first man out to the ring, and he's not accompanied by the Nexus, of course, due to the stipulations in place for this match. Hell in a Cell Match for the WWE Championship - Kane (c) vs. The Undertaker w/Paul Bearer
We get a video package highlighting some of the extensive history between these two men, and the events over the last few weeks that have led directly up to this match. The video package is a bit long, but that's not surprising as they've really been killing a lot of time this whole night. The cage is lowered, and Michael Cole rattles off a couple of demonic adjectives about the cell. Tony Chimel announces that this will be a Hell in a Cell match, and it will indeed be for the World Heavyweight Championship. Kane is announced, and the champion makes his way out to the ring.
The gong hits, and the fans go nuts right on cue. The dead man makes his way out to the ring, being led by Paul Bearer, who is of course, carrying the urn. Taker takes off his robes, and for some reason, Bearer is in the cage, I'm not sure if he'll stay in for the match or not, but it looks like he might. Bearer nods.
The start:
Takers sends Bearer to the outside, and Kane ambushes Taker, and the two fight to the outside for a bit. They make their way back into the cell, and Kane grabs a chair, but Taker gets his foot up, and it backfires, catching Kane in the face instead. Taker sends Kane face first into the cell wall, following it up with a chair to the ribs before sending him head first into the ring steps, and then back into the ring. Taker his two big splashes and snake eyes Kane in the corner before hitting a big boot, and huge leg drop that's good for a two count.
Mid-match notes:
Kane gets up to his feet and grabs the chair, burying it into Taker's midsection, than bringing it down across his back. Taker rolls to the outside, and Kane follows, catching a throat chop for his troubles. Taker slams Kane's head into the ring steps again, before laying Kane across the steps and kicking away at his head. Taker slams Kane's head into the ring steps yet another time before taking Kane and slamming him, back first, into the cage wall.
Kane retaliates by sending Taker shoulder first into the steel ring steps, and kicking away at him. Kane grabs a chair and uses it to smash Taker's left knee, working over Taker's entire leg. Kane sends Taker back into the ring, and he wraps Taker's leg around the steel ring post, before lodging it between the post and steps, and kicking the steps.
Kane rolls Taker into the ring, and brings the fight right to Taker, stomping away at Taker's leg and back. Kane slams Taker's leg into the apron before laying into him with a series of right hands. Kane charges Taker, but Taker moves and Kane ends up crashing into the steel wall. Taker pounds on Kane with a series of big fists to the side of the head before sending Kane back into the ring. Taker kicks at Kane's head before going for, and connecting with his signature apron leg drop.
Kane hits Taker with a knee to the side of the head, and he stomp at him for a bit before wrenching away at Taker's leg and working over his knee. Kane will not let up, leaping and dropping his knee right into Taker's before going right back into another submission. Taker pounds away at the back of Kane's head, trying to get him to let go of the submission. Taker is able to force Kane to break the hold, and he hits Kane with a series of blows on his knees. Kane fights back, and he stomps at Taker's chest. Both men trade blows in the cents of the ring and Kane gets the advantage, but Taker comes right back with a leaping lariat.
Taker goes for Old School, but Kane kicks the ropes and Taker ends up crotching himself on the top turnbuckle. Kane goes up and tries for a superplex, but Taker fights him off, only to catch a big right hand to the head for his troubles. Kane hits Taker with a few more rights before trying for another superplex. Kane connects this time, getting right back up and going back to the top rope. Kane launches himself off the top rope, and connects with a clothesline, but Taker locks in Hell's Gate out of nowhere. Kane is able to crawl to the outside, but Taker holds on. Kane finally breaks out of it, and falls to the floor.
Kane climbs back into the ring, and both men go for, and hit, a big boot. Both men are down. Both men sit up, as they're known to do, and they immediately begin trading blows. Kane catches Taker with a huge right hand, but Taker comes right back with a big DDT. Taker goes for the chokeslam, and he brings Kane down with force. Taker goes for the cover, but he only gets a two count. Taker kicks Kane in the gut, and goes for the last ride, but Kane hits Taker in the leg, fights out of it, and hits a chokeslam of his own that's good for a two count.
Taker gets up to his feet, but he looks dazed. Kane takes advantage and hits three consecutive splashes in the corner before hitting Taker with a couple of big right hands, and climbing to the second rope to deliver a few more right hands. Taker grabs Kane by the legs, and uses the opportunity to deliver a Last Ride. Taker goes for the cover, but he only gets a two count. Taker goes for the tombstone, but Kane is able to reverse it. Kane pins Taker, but Taker kicks out at two!
Kane argues with the ref and lays him out with a big right hand. One of the refs on the outside calls for help. The ref is taken out of the ring, and replaced, and Paul Bearer makes his way into the cell in the meantime. Kane sees this, and he goes for the manager. Bearer tries to run from Kane, but Kane follows. Kane tells Bearer to get into the ring. Kane follows Bearer, telling him he shouldn't have come back. While Kane is tied up with Bearer, Taker sits up. Taker delivers a big chokeslam to Kane.
The finish:
Taker calls for the tombstone, and the lights go out, and 'lightning' hits. Bearer opens the urn and a light comes out, blinding Taker. When the lights come back on, Taker recovers, but Bearer hands the urn to Kane who uses it to lay out Taker. Kane hits another chokeslam, goes for the cover, and gets the three count. Winner & STILL World Heavyweight Champion: Kane
After the match, Kane makes his way to the back, with Bearer in tow. Bearer takes the lid off the urn again to expose the light inside. Taker ends the night laid out in the ring, while Kane stands at the top of the ramp, with light from the urn shining on his face
