Kofi Kingston def. Dolph Ziggler (Intercontinental Championship Tournament Semi-Finals Match)
Christian def. Cody Rhodes (Intercontinental Championship Tournament Semi-Finals Match)
Kane def. World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger (Disqualification)

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – Bedlam rocked SmackDown as Big Show chokeslammed World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger after his battle with Kane, and Drew McIntyre’s sudden firing left the Intercontinental Championship vacant.

Kane def. World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger by Disqualification (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After escaping Kane’s chokeslam, Jack Swagger thrusted The Big Red Monster’s ribs repeatedly into an exposed turnbuckle – a dangerous hazard that he himself had dislodged earlier in the match. This led the official to disqualify “The All-American American.”

But after the match was over, the action continued outside the ring, where No. 1 contender Big Show – sitting in with Matt Striker and Todd Grisham – opted to join the fray. The World’s Largest Athlete delivered a massive chokeslam to the World Heavyweight Champion, sending him crashing through the announce table.

Will Big Show walk away with the World Title when he challenges Swagger at Over the Limit? (Match preview)

Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre was stripped of his title and fired (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Without being cleared for action – following two brutal assaults from Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre in recent weeks – Matt Hardy came to the ring to address the volatile situation. After McIntyre got the upper hand by nailing Hardy from behind, things quickly spiraled out of control.

In spite of frantic attempts by WWE officials and personnel to restrain the “Chosen One,” and numerous warnings from SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long, McIntyre continued his treacherous assault. Long then sent shockwaves throughout the WWE Universe, first by suspending the “untouchable” Superstar, then by stripping him of his title and firing him on the spot. When McIntyre put his hands on the head of SmackDown, he was unceremoniously kicked out of the building. Teddy Long wished McIntyre the best in his future endeavors.

Later, the SmackDown GM ruled that, since the Intercontinental Championship was now vacant, four deserving Superstars would compete in a championship tournament to decide the successor. Christian would face Cody Rhodes and Kofi Kingston would take on Dolph Ziggler. The winners would battle next week for the illustrious title.

Kofi Kingston triumphed in the first Tournament Semi-Finals Match, breaking Dolph Ziggler’s infamous sleeper hold to hit Trouble in Paradise.

Christian def. Cody Rhodes in an Intercontinental Championship Tournament Semi-Finals Match(PHOTOS | WATCH)
In the second Tournament Semi-Finals Match, Christian reigned supreme in a hard-fought contest, slamming Rhodes into the unforgiving ring post before finishing him with the Killswitch.

Next week on SmackDown, Christian and Kofi Kingston go head-to-head for the Intercontinental Championship!

Michelle McCool & Layla def. Kelly Kelly &Tiffany(PHOTOS | WATCH)
Just 24 hours after Michelle, Layla and SmackDown’s Official Consultant Vickie Guerrero put Kelly Kelly through a “humiliating initiation” on "WWE Superstars" (watch), Tiffany joined forces with SmackDown’s newest Diva against Team Lay-Cool. But retribution was not in the cards. As the official was getting Kelly Kelly back to her corner, Michelle delivered a hard kick to Tiffany from behind, setting up Layla for the victorious neckbreaker.

MVP def. Luke Gallows  (PHOTOS | WATCH)
When “The Anti-Diva” Serena leaped up on the ring apron, she distracted MVP from executing the climatic Playmaker on Luke Gallows. Seconds later, Rey Mysterio jumped out of the crowd and attacked CM Punk, mimicking the attacks he has suffered from a mysterious hooded stranger in recent matches with The Second City Saint. This commotion allowed MVP to finish off Gallows with The Play of the Day.

After the match, an irate Punk called Mysterio out as a “coward.” The masked Superstar emerged to challenge him to a rematch at Over the Limit and the “savior” readily accepted. If Rey loses the showdown, he must take the Straight Edge pledge. If Punk loses, Rey Mysterio will personally shave his head. (Match preview)

Mysterio then offered to forgo the match and take the pledge immediately if Punk would shave his head right then and there. When Punk refused, a slight glimpse of doubt seemed apparent on the faces of Punk’s normally loyal disciples. (PHOTOS | WATCH)

Drew McIntyre and Smackdown diva Tiffany were reportedly married in Las Vegas on May 2nd.

It is possible that he dropped the Intercontinental title and was "fired" in order to take time off for his honeymoon.

    - Finlay is reportedly done working as an active wrestler for WWE, but he remains on board as a producer. The call was at least partially attributed to Vince McMahon, who apparently feels Finlay is "too old."

WWE's Intercontinental Title was declared vacant on last night's SmackDown after Teddy Long "fired" the former Champion Drew McIntyre. Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes vs. Christian took place last night in a one-night tournament with Kofi and Christian advancing. The two will face on next week's SmackDown to crown a new Intercontinental Champion

Primo vs. Carlito ended in a No Contest
    Chris Masters def. Chavo Guerrero
Women's Champion Beth Phoenix def. Rosa Mendes
    Shad Gaspard def. JTG

It’s been said that “old rivalries die hard.” This adage was certainly true on tonight’s “WWE Superstars” as former partners continued to brawl, while bickering brothers put their differences aside and reunited.

Don’t know where to catch “WWE Superstars”? Find WGN America in your area. Can't see “WWE Superstars” on WGN America in your area? Stay with WWE.com for full results, photos and video clips of all the action.

Primo vs. Carlito ended in a No Contest (PHOTOS | WATCH)
It was nearly a year ago that The Colons had a falling out live on Monday Night Raw when Carlito delivered a devastating Back Stabber to his brother, Primo. But tonight the WWE Universe learned that time does heal all wounds as Carlito unexpectedly halted the match and asked his brother to team with him again. Primo agreed and the former Unified Tag Team Champions embraced, signaling a bright future for the Puerto Rican Superstars.

Chris Masters def. Chavo Guerrero (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Just when you thought Chavo Guerrero’s move to SmackDown would do his career some good, the self-proclaimed “Mexican Warrior” chalked up another one in the loss column. Going up against the physically awesome Chris Masters, Guerrero attempted to ground the big man, but could not handle Masters’ strength. In the end, The Masterpiece locked in his devastating Master Lock and wrenched Chavo into submission.

Kelly Kelly was confronted in the Divas locker room by Lay-Cool (WATCH)
SmackDown’s resident mean girls, Michelle McCool & Layla, decided they couldn’t wait until Friday night to stir up some trouble and set their sights on the gorgeous Kelly Kelly. After claiming Kelly reeked of “garbage and rotten eggs,” Team Lay-Cool christened her “Smelly Kelly.” To make matters worse, Vickie Guerrero showed up and brutally attacked Kelly with beauty products while Michelle and Layla held her. Luckily, Beth Phoenix & Tiffany swooped in to make the save.

Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix def. Rosa Mendes (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After spending months in the corner of cocky Raw Superstar Zack Ryder, the fiery Rosa Mendes returned to the ring against an intimidating opponent — Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix. Surprisingly, Mendes showed no fear, chewing out Phoenix on the microphone before slapping her across the face. This may have been a mistake, however, as The Glamazon attacked her with pure power before putting her away with a roll-up. Still, The Fabulous Firebird suffered a minor ankle injury during the action and had to be assisted from the ring.

Shad Gaspard def. JTG (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After battling in a brutal Strap Match at Extreme Rules, former partners JTG and Shad met again on “WWE Superstars.” This time, however, the results were much different. While JTG managed to use his street smarts to pull off the victory in their first contest, Gaspard used his pure power and rage to beat down his former friend and pick up the win tonight. Maybe it really is Shad’s time after all.

The very latest on Batista's future with WWE
Posted by Chris Kaufman on 05/05/2010 at 08:13 PM

    Credit: F4WOnline.com

People close to Batista are now saying that it’s not 100% he’s leaving WWE soon but it’s still believed by some that the Over the Limit PPB will be his final show for the time being. While there’s obvious interest in Batista from TNA, he has been listening to outside offers. Batista is said to be purely business, unlike Jeff Hardy who went to TNA for other reasons, and TNA may be a long shot for him since they couldn’t even come close to paying him what WWE has, which is several million dollars per year.

Man arrested for making threats to WWE

    Credit: PWInsider.com

A 22-year-old man has been banned from going to WWE events after threatening to kill WWE employees and blow up WWE Headquarters over the release of Mickie James... really.

CTPost.com is reporting that Zavr Peygumbari of Brooklyn, New York, described as an "emotionally disturbed" man was ordered by Judge William Wenzel was not to contact WWE employees, go near the Stamford offices or attend WWE events following his arrest this past Friday following after making a series of threats against WWE employees.

He called the offices more than 20 times, "making threats to blow up the company's offices and saying he would visit the building with a machete and a machine gun." This resulted in him being charged with four counts of fourth-degree threatening, one count of second-degree harassment and two counts of second-degree threatening. Currently out on bond, he is due in court to face the charges on May 25th.

His attorney, in responding to the charges, stated "It's a testament to the WWE that they get people so psyched up in the story lines." Of course, the Mickie James situation isn't a storyline.

WWE's reaction to recent Mark Henry incident

WWE's reaction to recent Mark Henry incident
Posted by Chris Kaufman on 05/03/2010 at 08:52 PM

    Credit: PWTorch.com

As reported earlier, Mark Henry was arrested late one night at a bar in Belfast, Ireland while the Raw crew was stranded during their recent trip overseas. His arrest garnered attention as a local newspaper quoted a fan who claimed that the WWE Superstar threw a beverage at him and his fiancee, and challenged him to a fight. Reaction to Henry's arrest within the company is said to be minimal as he is considered a mild-mannered individual and it is believed that the fan did something to provoke him.

Update on the CM Punk/fan incident

Update on the CM Punk/fan incident

Jeremy Westwood sent along the following:

Hello, my name is Jeremy Westwood. And I was at the Smackdown House Show on 5-2-10 in Johnson City,TN.

And I just wanted to correct your "eye witness". Your eye witness didn't witness anything if they saw the fan being ejected from the building, because that is false. CM Punk made his way to the ring, and got tons of heat, he spent
about 5 minutes walking around ringside getting heat from certain people. The last one he approached, was an older lady who was going back & forth with him, and Punk finally said something that struck a nerve with her, because the lady struck Punk with a slap. But the slap was a very weak slap. The WWE Security, & Arena Security went directly towards the fan, and was escorting her out of the arena. But Rey Mysetrio was in the ring, and stopped the Security from taking the fan out of the arena. Security escorted her back to her seat, and Rey exited the ring, and went down and hugged the fan, then got on the mic, & said "Punk this Lady isn't going anywhere, she is gonna seat right there, and watch me kick your butt". Crowd popped, and also popped for the fan. Punk went back over to the fan, and was running his mouth again, but Security was around the woman, and refrained her from doing anything else again.

I just wanted to correct your story, so the fan was not ejected, and there will be no legal actions.

    Michael Tarver def. Daniel Bryan
    R-Truth def. David “A-List” Otunga

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – With next week’s critical Pros’ Poll just days away, the NXT Rookies gave it their all to impress the WWE Pros and the WWE Universe. While one NXT Rookie finally earned himself a victory, another remained winless, and a third shockingly earned immunity!

The NXT Rookies offer their Final Words (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Hoping to leave a lasting impression on the WWE Pros and the WWE Universe, the NXT Rookies had 30 seconds each to express why he should survive next week’s elimination after the second Pros’ Poll.

While most of the NXT Rookies defended themselves, Daniel Bryan pointed out he’s winless and said he should leave. Michael Tarver did the same, but told his fellow competitors, “I’m the most dangerous Rookie on NXT,” as the WWE Universe booed. Many of the NXT Rookies agreed it should be Tarver who leaves, but Darren Young called out each of his opponents and singled out Wade Barrett, ending WWE NXT with a brawl.

Which NXT Rookie has impressed you most? Who do you want to stay in the competition? Vote now in WWE.com’s WWE NXT poll and learn the results next week when the Pros’ Poll reveals the Rookie Rankings.

Justin Gabriel won the Obstacle Course Challenge (PHOTOS | WATCH)
One part of being a WWE Superstar is overcoming obstacles, and NXT Rookie Justin Gabriel did just that Tuesday. He completed the Obstacle Course Challenge in the fastest time – 1 minute, 29 seconds – earning the best prize yet – an Immunity Pass. That means next week when the second Pros’ Poll is revealed, Gabriel cannot be eliminated, no matter the circumstances!

When Gabriel learned he was the winner, he called out fellow NXT Rookie, David Otunga, telling him that his ego outweighs his talent!

The NXT Rookies have competed against each other in matches, and have had their minds and bodies tested through special challenges. Next week on WWE NXT, the second Pros’ Poll will be revealed, and the NXT Rookie ranked in eighth place – in last – will be eliminated from the competition! The NXT Rookies have worked hard to not only survive the intensifying pressure, but also thrive on it to become WWE’s newest breakout Superstar. The winner will earn a title match against the champion of his choice, live on pay-per-view. But next week, one NXT Rookie’s dream will be over. Who will be the first eliminated?

R-Truth def. David “A-List” Otunga (PHOTOS | WATCH)
NXT Rookie David “A-List” Otunga’s wish was granted after winning last week’s Seal the Deal Challenge. He earned the opportunity to face the WWE Pro of his choice, and picked his own mentor – R-Truth. While these two have clashed throughout the last 10 weeks of competition, their rivalry climaxed with R-Truth’s victory over Otunga on Tuesday’s WWE NXT. R-Truth defeated his NXT Rookie with a corkscrew back elbow, but Otunga had to compete mere minutes after running the grueling Obstacle Course Challenge.

Otunga’s record fell to 4-4. Is this the end of the contention between “A-List” and his WWE Pro? Will Otunga’s choice of opponent affect his standing in next week’s crucial Pros’ Poll?

CM Punk confronts Darren Young (WATCH)
During last week’s Seal the Deal Challenge, NXT Rookie Darren Young tried to convince the WWE Universe to purchase WWE merchandise so he’d be able to face his own WWE Pro, CM Punk. But Young’s bold words weren’t what Punk and the Straight Edge Society wanted to hear.

Michael Tarver def. Daniel Bryan (PHOTOS | WATCH)
The remaining winless NXT Rookies, Daniel Bryan and Michael Tarver, met for the first time in singles action Tuesday, deciding who’d enter the second Pros’ Poll without a victory. Tarver finally earned his first victory over Bryan, who was noticeably ailing from the beating he took by Batista the previous night on Raw. Bryan suffered through three monstrous Batista Bombs when his WWE Pro, The Miz, cited medical reasons for being unable to compete, sending his NXT Rookie in his place to fight The Animal. Bryan’s loss was capped off by a backstabber by Tarver’s WWE Pro, Carlito, as The Miz looked on approvingly.

Tarver’s win upped his record to 1-7, while Bryan’s fell to 0-10. Considering Tarver has refused to compete in the Rookie Challenges, was his victory too little too late or was it enough to impress the WWE Pros just one week before the second Pros’ Poll? Will Bryan continue to hold the No. 1 spot with the WWE Pros with such a dismal record?

CM Punk attacked by female fan at show
Posted by Chris Kaufman on 05/03/2010 at 11:26 AM

There was an incident with a fan that happened during Sunday's WWE house show in Johnson City, TN. According to an eye witness, the fan (who was a female) attacked CM Punk and she was ejected from the arena almost immediately. Punk handled the situation well despite the fan slapping the “hell out of him.” No word on what type of legal charges that fan maybe facing.

More on Tara's TNA status; a WWE return possible?

More on Tara's TNA status; a WWE return possible?
Posted by Mark Virginia on 05/06/2010 at 01:02 PM

PWTorch.com is reporting that TNA Knockout Tara, real name Lisa Marie Varon, has backstage heat with The Beautiful People which is the root of recent reports that she is "difficult to work with." Apparently, Varon has issues with the fact that the BP will not take certain offensive moves of hers during matches and that she is not a fan of their in-ring ability.

It's being reported that Varon has aired these complaints to TNA management several times, and even requested to work with ODB on a recent house show tour as opposed to the BP. This was seen as a sign of disrespect by the BP, as backstage protocol is usually to go to talent with any issues you might have rather than going to management behind the talent's backs.

It should be noted that Varon was reportedly very easy to work with in WWE and apparently had none of the issues in that company which she now has in TNA. Varon has apparently been telling people close to her that she wants to return to WWE when her current TNA deal expires.

Mickie James reageert op ontslag en andere

Former WWE Diva Mickie James recently appeared on the Busted Open satellite radio show. Here are some of the highlights:

Mickie on being released: "I really don't know what happened. I was doing interviews for the draft that morning and then a couple of hours later, I got the phone call. I was baffled. I guess they just wanted to make a roster change."

Mickie on working for another company: "I don't know. Never say never. My focus right now is on the album and you cannot wrestle for a certain amount of time anyway, so I have some time to take a look at it."

Mickie on Piggy James: "It was definitely one of those difficult storylines to do because it did touch really close to home. It sucked people into the storyline and to get the retribution at the end... You can completely embrace it and knock it out of the park."

Mickie on her crazed fan who was recently arrested: "I have a lot of friends that work in the Headquarters. I would never want anybody to do that. I appreciate him being a fan and everything else, but that is a little much. Anger never solves anything."

More details on Impact moving back to Thursdays

    Credit: prowrestling.net

As noted earlier, TNA officials told the talents today that Impact is moving back to Thursday nights. The crew was told that TNA made the decision to move back to Thursdays, not Spike TV officials. While TNA officials handled most of the meeting, there was a Spike TV official there to confirm the information.

TNA as well as Eric Bischoff & Jason Hervey's production team conducted most of the recent market research and were told that fans overwhelmingly wanted Thursday to be established as TNA's night.

With the weekly addition of TNA Reaction at 8pm EST, Spike TV will be branding Thursday nights as "TNA Thursdays."

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – With an entirely new constellation of Superstar draftees moving into its orbit, the Raw roster promised to be an altered universe. As if to punctuate that point, former SmackDown Superstar Chris Jericho devestated the Unified Tag Team Champions with the help of an unlikely ally and Edge nearly laid waste to a former friend before feeling the pain of angry fangs.

Edge’s first order of business upon opening his talk show, “The Cutting Edge,” was to explain why he Speared Randy Orton last week during the No. 1 Contender’s Triple Threat Match. He told the audience that he wanted to make Raw his show, just like he had done with SmackDown. Good start.

The Rated-R Superstar then introduced Raw’s special guest host Wayne Brady, who discussed his game show Let’s Make a Deal and his new stage show in Las Vegas. Before the segment ended, Orton interrupted. The Viper slithered into the ring and leveled Brady with an RKO. He then listened as The Ultimate Opportunist tried to talk him into reforming their dominating partnership, Rated-RKO. When Orton appeared indifferent, Edge became irate.

Tensions flared and Orton tried to capitalize with an RKO. Edge fought him off and set up for a Spear, but The Viper quickly struck, leaving his former tag team partner on the canvas in the wake of a vengeful RKO.

Flavor Flav to act as special guest host of Raw next week
Set your clocks – Flavor Flav brings his unique perspective to Raw next week to act as the show’s special guest host. The famous rapper and reality show star is sure to have the WWE Universe buzzing on live TV. Yeaaaaaaaaaa, Booooyyyyyeeeee!

Unified Tag Team Champions The Hart Dynasty def. William Regal & Vladimir Kozlov; Chris Jericho & The Miz attacked (PHOTOS | WATCH)
It didn’t take long for Chris Jericho to make his presence felt. One week after being recruited to the red brand, the self-important Superstar teamed up with equally egotistical Miz to attack Unified Tag Team Champions The Hart Dynasty.

Raw Supplemental draftees David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd had just defeated William Regal & Vladimir Kozlov and were celebrating with fellow draftee Natalya when Jericho & The Miz entered the ring to make their statement. Raw roster, you’ve been warned.

Mark Henry def. Zack Ryder (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Oh, that’s gotta hurt. When Zack Ryder lost his girlfriend Rosa Mendes after she was drafted to SmackDown, The Long Island Lothario invited Gail Kim and Alicia Fox to watch him battle Primo. Sadly for Ryder, special guest host Wayne Brady slotted Mark Henry to compete instead. The match didn’t go quite as Ryder had hoped. In fact, The World’s Strongest Man punished the cocky Superstar, humiliating him in front of his potential lady friends.

Maryse def. Nikki Bella (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Maryse proved once again that she must have been a nightmare in high school. Not only does she love talking trash about her fellow Divas, she can also put them in their place if they complain.

The conceited Canadian faced off against Nikki Bella and defeated the brunette beauty as twin sister Brie looked on. After the bout, Maryse displayed photos of herself she’d had taken earlier in the night after attacking Divas Champion Eve. Eve quickly confronted her and a referee had to ensure the two didn’t come to blows.

WWE Champion John Cena def. Wade Barrett; Sheamus attacked (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Batista had arranged for WWE Champion John Cena to compete against Chris Jericho in a Beat the Clock Challenge. After witnessing how The Miz handled his earlier scheduled match with Batista, Jericho hewed close to that route. Instead of a doctor's note, the self-important Superstar claimed the match would be a waste of his time and recruited his NXT Rookie Wade Barrett to tackle the challenge of The Champ.

While Barrett proved a worthy competitor, Cena managed to defeat him seconds shy of Batista’s posted time, allowing The Champ to name the championship match stipulation. Before he could, however, Sheamus thundered into the ring and attacked, leaving Cena flat on the mat.

John Morrison def. Ted DiBiase by Count-out; Morrison def. DiBiase in rematch (PHOTOS | WATCH)
John Morrison wanted nothing more than to make a good impression in his Raw debut. Unfortunately for him, Ted DiBiase wasn’t in the fighting mood.

After suffering a few of Morrison’s high-energy maneuvers, DiBiase agreed to be counted out. The Shaman of Sexy refused to accept the easy win and challenged DiBiase to an immediate rematch, even promising to be his man servant were he to lose. The proposal was more than DiBiase could turn down.

In his rematch, Morrison wasn’t about to walk away empty handed. After Morrison emerged victorious, his pouty opponent then ambushed him. The underhanded attack prompted Morrison’s pal R-Truth to charge in and chase off DiBiase.

Batista def. Daniel Bryan (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Rather than face Batista in a Beat the Clock Challenge, The Miz actually brought a doctor’s note excusing him from competition. To increase his lame factor, The Cleveland Screamer then sent his NXT Rookie, Daniel Bryan, to take his place. While The Animal may have relished the thought, Bryan put up an impressive fight, lasting 5:06 before being pinned.

Batista announced Beat the Clock Challenge for himself and WWE Champion John Cena (PHOTOS)
You can pretty much do everything with duct tape. As far as Batista is concerned, however, the one thing you can’t do is win a Last Man Standing Match – at least not since WWE Champion John Cena duct-taped his feet together at Extreme Rules.

After negotiating with WWE officials, Batista arranged two Beat the Clock Challenge bouts, one for Cena and one for himself. Whoever wins their match in the fastest time gets to choose the stipulation for their WWE Championship Match at the upcoming Over the Limit pay-per-view.

As might be expected, Sheamus took exception to Batista’s challenge and let him know in no uncertain terms. After Batista’s unusual victory in a Triple Threat Match last week involving Sheamus and Randy Orton, who was leveled by a surprise Spear from Edge, the Irishman vowed that he would not relent in his pursuit of the WWE Title.

    Brett DiBiase geblesseerd

Developmental wrestler Brett DiBiase, brother of Ted DiBise, suffered a knee injury at Thursday's Florida Championship Wrestling tapings during a match with fellow second generation star Joe Hennig. No word yet on the severity of the injury. DiBiase and Hennig are expected to be called up to the main roster soon as part of a new "privileged sons" stable led by Ted DiBiase, but the formation of that new group might be delayed.

    By Chris Fraracci • May 4, 2010

It’s a new month for TNA and sadly tonight marks the final Monday Night Impact, as starting next week TNA moves back to Thursdays. It’s too bad as TNA has been the better show a majority of times so far, but unfortunately the WWE just kept them down. Personally I don’t understand why, WWE is such a weak and boring show, while TNA delivers good matches each week. I don’t remember the last WWE RAW or Smackdown that featured a great match. I do think the Knockouts have been horribly mistreated lately though, and I wish the Monday show had succeeded and maybe we would’ve gotten a Thursday show as well each week. Even just an hour long one for the Knockouts would’ve been good. The good thing is Wrestlicious finally returns next week with their seventh episode and I can’t wait. Tonight on TNA we have the return of Taylor Wilde & Sarita, and it’s been too damn long since we’ve seen them, also RVD defends the title and the debut of Orlando Jordan’s talk show with guest Rob Terry. Should be an interesting show tonight, let’s get to it.

We open with a recap of the previous week including the tag match and Ric Flair versus Abyss. Tonight’s episode is called the Sting/Hulk Hogan summit. We open with Hulk and Eric in the limo and Eric says the plane touches down in seven minutes. Hulk says everyone is coming to TNA and says Flair will jump off the cliff when he sees who he gives the ring too. Hulk says he’s calling out Sting tonight and says to hold on for the ride. We go to our opening video, and it still suck big time, about as bad as Raw and Smackdown, the only good part is Daffney’s scream! Mike Tenay welcomes us to Orlando and goes over the same things Hulk just mentioned. Tazz looks funny in blue. Mike says they have huge news and announces that due to the feedback TNA is moving back to Thursday nights because that’s what the fans wanted. OK, if that’s the line they’re going to use, whatever. Mike and Taz talk about the summit between Hulk and Sting. Taz says Sting told him he was going to break the silence tonight and we head to the ring.

    1. Ric Flair’s music hits but instead we get Jay Lethal coming out in a suit and pointing to his finger. He’s now imitating The Nature Boy Ric Flair and it looks like he’s wearing the ring, as So Cal Val hands him the mic. Lethal now sounds just like Ric Flair; damn he’s impressive at these impersonations. Lethal says Hulk Hogan told him not to go out at the start or middle but to wait till the end, and he told Hulk he couldn’t wait. Lethal calls himself the sixteen times World Champion as he continues to do the best Flair imitation ever. Lethal says to be the man, and rips off his jacket and drops the knee; you’ve got to beat the man. This is comedy gold; this kid should have his own show. Jay makes fun of the crowd as Flair would do, and get’s interrupted by the real Nature Boy, Ric Flair. Should a man over sixty still be called the Nature Boy? Maybe Nature Senior? Flair enters the ring and removes the sunglasses, as the crowd chants “double vision”, and asks Lethal if he knows where he is. Flair says Lethal is standing in front of God right now and has been disrespected and then smashes his glasses before taking off the jacket. Flair tells Lethal if he wants to be Flair, Jay apologizes and gives Ric his ring back and says from the bottom of his heart he meant no disrespect and always wanted to be Ric Flair. Lethal says as sure as we’re standing here today he will frame the shot and it’s the greatest moment of his life and it will never get better. Jay says his mom is watching and is proud her boy is in the ring with Ric Flair. Flair thanks him for giving back his ring and then slaps Jay across the face. Flair removes the shirt; no one needed to see that, and slaps Jay again and says he is wrestling. Flair screams at Lethal and slaps him again, and this time Lethal slaps back. Now they’re chopping it out and Lethal backdrops Flair before locking in the figure four. Beer Money, AJ and Desmond quickly make the save and beat the crap out of Lethal, nice five white guys whipping a black guy, and here comes Abyss waddling to the ring for the save. Abyss takes out everyone but the numbers catch up to him and here comes Team 3D to help out as we have chaos. A great way to start the show and now here comes the World Champion, Rob Van Dam, who chases out team Flair. Back to Hulk and Eric in the limo, and there heading somewhere. Hulk gets a message on his phone and says Lethal screwed up and they turn the car around. After the commercial RVD is still in the ring and has the microphone and says here’s an idea instead of everyone beating up Macho Dude, let’s get the four Horse’s asses down the ring for a fair fight. Flair says if you really want more you got it and they head to the ring. It’s a ten man brawl in the ring now, WWWYKI! They brawl all around the building as all hell has broken loose. This reminds me of the old ECW with all this chaos, all we need is a run in from 911 to chokeslam everyone! Suddenly the brawl is interrupted as Hulk’s music hits and he heads down the ramp, hammering everyone in his path. Hulk alone in the ring with Flair and unloads on Nature Boy with three rights and tosses him out of the ring as we go to commercial. We come back and security is trying to separate everyone. Hulk has the microphone and says since they beat the man they can quote the man and says TNA is the best thing going today. Hulk says the fans want action, that’s what we got. Hulk tells Desmond he doesn’t like him, but he gets a match tonight, against the champ Rob Van Dam for the title. Flair says they like that, and Hulk says AJ will face Abyss in a Monster’s Ball match tonight as well. Hogan says Team 3D will face Beer Money and MCMG in a three way match. What about Jay Lethal? Well, that’s a hell of a way to open a show, much better than the way RAW always opens. We go backstage to Lacey, Madison and Velvet getting ready for their match, and Lacey says her back hurts as she wears the title to bed. Madison says all the titles are on the line again, and Velvet says they’re the whole knockout division, pretty much at this point. Madison says the titles will stay right where they are and Lacey says see she knew they had to keep the titles on.

    2. Brian Kendrick & Douglas Williams v Shannon Moore & Jesse Neal. Doug still has the X title around his waist and says due to travel conditions beyond his control he’s been stripped of the title. Doug says half the world is on a shutdown and he’s punished, it’s not right, and when he comes back he’s in a tag match with a lunatic. Doug says while he’s been sitting at him pulling his hair out Kaz has been claiming he’s the champ, and he’s going to have to beat him at Sacrifice. So Shannon and Jesse are now called Ink Inc, why not. Jesse and Doug start out and Doug with a go behind and a snapmare, but Jesse to the armbar. Doug flips out and grabs the leg and floats into a hammerlock and tosses Jesse to the corner. Jesse dives out with a crossbody and Kendrick runs in. Kendrick distracts Jesse allowing Doug to hit a gut wrench and tags in Brian. Kendrick stomps on Jesse and hammers him in the face. Doug tagged back in, as Matt is on commentary now and will face Ink Inc at Sacrifice and TNA will pick Matt’s tag partner, bet it’s Hernandez. Meanwhile Doug sends Jesse to the corner and kicks Jesse in the hamstring. Matt says he’s giving Hulk a week to announce his partner or its open season on the entire roster. Kendrick and Shannon tagged in and Shannon with an inverted atomic drop and spinning heel kick for a near fall. Kendrick whipped to the corner and Shannon misses the charge, Kendrick goes to tag and Douglas is missing. Jesse tagged in and Jesse hits the spear for the victory as Douglas is just standing at ringside. 7/10 a good tag match, I like all four guys. Kendrick screams at Doug, who slaps Kendrick and Kendrick goes after him, but suddenly they’re interrupted by Samoa Joe. Joe decks Douglas and kicks Kendrick then tosses him in the ring. Joe hits the running knee and follows with a muscle buster on Kendrick. Joe grabs the microphone and then just throws it down and walks down the ramp. We go backstage to Ric Flair’s dressing room and Flair kicks out JB and says it’s time to be serious about what happened. AJ says he doesn’t appreciate being in a hardcore match and Flair says he doesn’t care, then gets in the face of BMI and says they’re nothing right now and smashing James’ beer bottle. Flair screams at Desmond now and tells him RVD will tear him up if he doesn’t get it right tonight. Flair tells his team to make it happen or he’ll fire them all. We get a video of Hulk talking about Sting trying to take out TNA and grabbing Dixie Carter and he’s going to find out what is going on. Mike and Taz talk about Hulk and Sting and suddenly we go backstage where Pope and Anderson are fighting it our backstage. Anderson rams one of the big cases into Pope repeatedly.

    3. Ken Anderson makes his way down the ramp, wearing a red dress and white shirt and glasses, like he’s a druid or something. Taz says he looks like an Altar Boy and has Pope’s shades on. Anderson mocks the Pope by calling the crowd the congregation and says don’t judge him for his attire. Anderson says he stands before them with a loss for words, as the crowd chants “you suck” and Anderson says forgive them father. Anderson says he had a sermon prepared but had an awakening. The crowd chants “We want Pope” and Anderson says the Pope will not be able to join them tonight, and he realizes that when he dies he won’t go to heaven he’ll burn in Hell. Jeff Hardy interrupts Anderson’s promo and comes down the ramp; Hardy says the congregation and creatures of the night are one and the same. Hardy since the Pope won’t be cleared for Sacrifice he wants a match with Anderson. Anderson asks if he’s challenging him, and Jeff says correct, Anderson says no he’s got something going on that night and can’t do it. Anderson says he’s tired of him and the people in the crowd and he’s leaving, then turns around and goes after Jeff. Jeff ducks and nails the Twist of Fate on Anderson and stripes him down to his underwear. Hardy welcomes Ken to Hell and leaves the ring.

    4. Taylor Wilde, Sarita & Tara v Velvet Sky, Madison Rayne & Lacey Von Erich. This is for both the knockout single and tag titles. Cripes, Taylor and Sarita don’t even get their music, what a load of crap. Well, they look good, as does TBP. Tara shoves Taylor and Sarita out of the ring and demands she starts. Lacey starts for her team and dances around, to which Tara kicks her in the gut and nails a snap Suplex, with a float over for a near fall. Tara quickly into a front guillotine, Tara sends Lacey in and misses the clothesline. Lacey with a spinkick and Sarita tagged in. Sarita rolls Lacey to the corner and Velvet tagged in. Sarita whipped to the corner and Velvet runs into Sarita’s boots. Sarita flips over Velvet and shoves her in to the corner and nails a flapjack for a near fall. Sarita tags in Taylor and the double team Velvet for a near fall. Taylor readies for the DDT and Tara wants the tag, this distracts Taylor allowing Velvet to throw her down and tag in Madison. Madison gets caught in a German Suplex and Taylor crawls to the corner and Tara screams for the tag, and steals the tag from Sarita who tags herself in. Tara turns around and nails Sarita. Taylor gets in Tara’s face and turns to check on Sarita and gets tossed out. Sarita rolls in and gets caught in double DDT and Madison covers for the win. 5/10 was nice to see Taylor and Sarita, but the storyline killed the match. After the commercial we go backstage to Tara with Christy Hemme, and Tara says she’s busted her butt to be in TNA and gets no respect. Tara challenges Madison for the title at Sacrifice, and Christy says Tara hasn’t won many matches and wants to know how she’s going to convince Madison. Tara says she’s putting her career on the line.

    5. Beer Money Inc v Motor City Machine Guns v Team 3D. Why is no one getting ring intros this week? Seriously, BMI and MCMG didn’t even get introduced. Roode and Sabin start out and Roode unloads on Sabin and sends him to the corner, but Sabin over Roode. Sabin avoids Roode’s shots and nails a spin kick. Roode gets a knee in and hammers Sabin down and tags in Storm. Shelly makes a blind tag and the Guns double team Storm for a near fall. Shelly gets Suplexed but he reverses and D-Von tagged in. D-Von clotheslines Storm down and hammers him in the corner. Storm run into Bubba’s boot and gets sent in, but Storm reverses and Roode nails D-Von in the back allowing Storm to hit a Codebreaker. Roode tagged in and stomps D-Von and slaps the Guns. Storm back in and they double Suplex D-Von down and a near fall, as Shelly saves the match. Roode tagged in and they send D-Von in and Storm sent in but D-Von moves and Storm hits the buckle, and D-Von clotheslines Roode. Bubba tagged in and hammers both BMI down and sends Roode in and backdrops him, then opens up on Storm. A big slam for Roode and followed by the What’s Up, as D-Von crushes Roode’s yam bags. Suddenly we see Hall and Nash heading to the ring, and they go right after Team 3D causing the DQ. 6/10 was actually shaping up to a good match, but a stupid ending. I’m so sick of seeing Hall and Nash, just disappear already. Eric Young comes out to save Team 3D and has the kendo stick, but then attacks Bubba and D-Von with the stick and joins the nWo. This is lame! The Guns come in and toss Young out of the ring and they take down Hall and then double team Nash down as well. BMI slide in and take out both Guns now, I bet we get a four way tag match at Sacrifice. Young back in and BMI hand him the kendo stick and shakes hands with nWo.

    6. The O-Zone. Well, this is either going to be really cool or really stupid, let’s see what they do. Orlando introduced and he’s behind a pink screen, and comes out in a tight silver outfit and sits down on his orange couch. Orlando says he does what he wants, says what he wants and acts how he wants and one size fits all and batteries not needed. Orlando says people think he’s got a little freak in him, but his first guest is a freak and introduces Rob Terry. It’s a cardboard cutout of Terry with a boa on, and Orlando points out how hard Terry is. Orlando says he has amazing bulges but Rob’s bulges are even better. Taz asks how long is this going to go as the crowd has shit all over this segment. OJ asks what kind of fantasies the Freak has, and makes like Terry fantasizes about him, and here comes the real Rob Terry. Terry tosses OJ on the couch and rips apart the cardboard cutout. Terry says don’t make me come back and holds the title over head, OJ attacks from behind and stomps Terry. OJ chokes out Terry and says this is his set and then smashes an urn over the back of Terry. Well, that wasn’t great, hopefully it was a one time thing.

    7. AJ Styles v Abyss. The Monster’s Ball match. Abyss comes out with a trash can full of weapons and tosses them in the ring. AJ tries for a springboard onto Abyss, who catches him and goes for the chokeslam. AJ counters and tosses the trashcan at him and Abyss gets in the ring. AJ charges at Abyss who tosses AJ across the ring. Abyss wedges a chair in the corner and AJ grabs a chair but misses the shot and eats Abyss’ boot. Abyss grabs a crutch but AJ kicks it out of his hand and Abyss misses the swing with the chair but the right hand knocks down Styles. Abyss misses with a chair and AJ hits the Pele and a dropkick sending him to the corner. AJ hammers the monster in the corner and then lets Abyss gets up and runs at him, only to get pressed and dropped. Abyss charges in the corner but AJ moves and goes to toss the monster into the corner, but Abyss counters. AJ jumps up and over and Abyss just grabs him and tosses his head into the chair. Abyss hits Shock Treatment and gets a near fall as AJ kicks out and Abyss goes outside and looks under the ring. Abyss grabs his bag and comes back in and sprinkles out the vintage tacks in the ring. Flair and Chelsea are heading down the ramp, and Flair is yelling at Chelsea to take off her clothes. They get to the ring and Abyss grabs Chelsea as AJ grabs a chair and unloads on the monster. AJ charges at the monster and gets backdropped on the ramp, but AJ pulls out brass knuckles and hits Abyss in the gut. AJ springboards into Abyss who lands in the tacks and AJ pins him for the win. 6.75/10 was a little short, but not half bad. Flair and Chelsea get in the ring and she opens the coat, and she’s wearing her usual black dress underneath.

    8. Desmond Wolfe v Rob Van Dam. Desmond dropkicks RVD as he tries to get in the ring and tosses him headfirst to the ringpost. Desmond tosses RVD back in and chokes him in the corner. Wolfe with the flying elbow in the corner and goes for a Suplex but RVD counters and sends Desmond to the corner but gets caught coming in. Wolfe kicks RVD in the head and gets a near fall. RVD starts to fight back and Wolfe nails the hammerlock drop for another near fall. Desmond shoves RVD to the corner and mocks RVD and goes for the corner elbow, but RVD disappears. Wolfe spins around and eats a big kick from RVD who was on the top rope. RVD follows up with Rolling Thunder and climbs the ropes, but Desmond catches him and RVD crotched on the top. Desmond goes for the Tower of London and RVD blocks, Desmond cracks him and goes for the Tower on the ramp but RVD blocks and hits a springboard kick. Desmond charges and RVD backdrops him back in and hits the Five Star Frog Splash for the win. 6/10 wasn’t bad, but way too short. As RVD celebrates AJ attacks from the top rope knocking the champ down. AJ hammers RVD and says he’s invoking his rematch at Sacrifice. We go backstage to find Jeff Jarrett laid out and Hulk finds him, Jarrett says Sting did it.

    9. Hulk Hogan makes his way down the ramp to call out Sting. Hulk says one of his favorite wrestlers talks about getting real and Hulk knew what he was getting into but when he talked about change he had no idea the guy he counted on would be the one who changed. Hulk calls Stinger out to the ring and wants to find out what’s real. Sting’s music hits and here comes Sting with bat in hand and he enters the ring. Hulk says you can fool some of the people but Hulk’s been around too long to be fooled and he knows what Sting’s all about. Hulk asks Sting what makes him tick and Sting says he can’t wait to tell him, it’s TNA. Sting says it like he’s asking him what his agenda is, and his agenda is the same as when he came in TNA five years ago, to give back to wrestling. Sting says he loves TNA and when he thinks about all the years Hulk was in the WWF with a canopy of protection and in WCW he saw firsthand that Hulk had the same protection, but in TNA there is no protection. Hulk says this isn’t about Sting and TNA, it’s about Hulk and Sting and the fact he’ll protect certain people. Hulk tells Sting he still has blood on his hand for knocking out Jarrett, and Sting laughs and says Hulk is one of the best chess players and says it’s Hulk’s move now. Sting points the bat at Hulk’s throat and Hulk says take your best shot and Jeff Jarrett heads down the ramp. Sting hasn’t seen him and tosses the bat aside, Jeff grabs the bat and attacks Sting, but Hulk cuts him off as the show ends.

    Ruzie tussen Lawler en striker?

Heat between Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker?
Posted by Chris Kaufman on 04/29/2010 at 11:48 AM

There is said to be legit heat between Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker. Striker reportedly has a reputation for being an elitist, which is rubbing people the wrong way, as Michael Cole isn't a fan of Striker's either. There have been times that Striker wanted to prepare for a show with his broadcast partners but he irritates them so much that they go out of their way to avoid him until showtime.

Problemen met Batista en Rey Mysterio?

Backstage problems with Batista and Rey Mysterio
Posted by Chris Kaufman on 04/28/2010 at 03:10 PM

    Credit: F4WOnline.com

According to Dave Meltzer, Batista and Rey Mysterio are the most talked about within WWE right now as far as "problems" go.

Batista is upset because WWE removed him from the movie due to uncertainty about his future with the company. Mysterio, who has a long time left on his contract, is apparently making a fuss again about money.

WWE has been trying to make a new Mexican star in case something happens with Mysterio and he leaves the company. WWE realizes that Mexico is their hottest market right now. Dos Caras, even though he has been working as a heel, was brought on the road with WWE because there is a directive that the company wants a new Mexican star rolling as quickly as possible.

Awesome Kong talks about leaving TNA

Awesome Kong talks about leaving TNA, BTLS, more
Posted by Mark Virginia on 04/30/2010 at 05:50 PM

Awesome Kong did an interview with Diva-Dirt.com this week. Thanks to pwtorch.com for the following highlights...

How TNA changed since she first arrived: "I speak my mind, but it was a very different place from when I got there. With those changes and with changes that weren't happening on the monetary side, I would say that it was time to dial back a bit and figure out exactly what I wanted out of wrestling in general," she said. "Kong, my character, wasn't as vicious or as relevant as she was before."

A possible return: "TNA has offered to leave their door open to me in case I want to come back. As of right now, I have many other things I'm looking at, so I'm taking this time right now to pursue other things," Kong said. "I'm not opposed to (returning), but I don't think they're ready to accept the things they need to take care of."

Wrestlers not being paid enough: "That would be a good question for TNA management. That's a question I've been asking myself. I've been seeking that answer for three years now," Kong said. "As athletes, we do not have the opportunity to retire at the age of 65 like most people do. We have a very short career and it costs a lot of money to maintain a wrestler's body. Therefore, a lot of money should be paid. I don't think any of the people that left TNA - Knockout, X Division, Heavyweight - were probably asking for a lot more; probably just what they felt they deserved."

Kong also noted that she didn't leave TNA because of Bubba The Love Sponge. She said he was "insignificant" to her departure from TNA.
