Former WWE superstar is still alive

Former WWE superstar is still alive

    Credit: F4WOnline.com

For those wondering, Perry Saturn is indeed alive. A photo recently surfaced on Facebook.com of the former wrestling star standing alongside a woman by the name of Lisa Kuhlemeier, whom he's believed to be married to. While he's gained a bit of weight, it's clearly him.

Saturn, whose real name is Perry Alfred Satullo, had disappeared from sight for years, to the point that his children had no idea where he was. His closest friends in the Boston area had presumed he died when no one could find or contact him, particularly after the death of his mentor, Walter "Killer" Kowalski. While Triple H was Kowalski's most famous student and the one initially expected to enjoy the most success, Satullo was said to be his favorite student. The two were very close at one point and he would have been a pallbearer had he attended his funeral. Anyway, there was no record anywhere of Satullo passing away sans a false story online, though it alarmed a few of his friends.

More recently, it had been rumored that the former WCW tag team champion was living in Albert Lea, Minnesota, but attempts by his family and many others to confirm his whereabouts always came up fruitless.

Hulkamania match results from Melbourne, Australia

Hulkamania match results from Melbourne, Australia

Thanks to Ron Wohl for the following report from the Hulkamania tour debut in Melbourne, Australia today:

    Hulk Hogan's Hulkamania Tour
    Melbourne Australia - November 21st, 2009
    Report by Ron Wohl

Me and a pal attended the Hulkamania opener in Melbourne tonight. The arena was about 50% full with lots of section tarped off. They were giving out tons of tickets and offering deals on tickets this weekend and still you could see many empty seats. It was announced that the show will be put on DVD soon and shown for free on One HD next month.

    * Nick Dinsmore & The Godfather defeated Rock of Love in a short match. Pimpfather got the win and brought his hoes in the ring.

    * Matt Cross defeated Shannon Moore with the SSP. Okay match with Shannon botching a big spot on the floor. Ouch.

    * The Nasty Boys with Jimmy Hart defeated Vampire Warrior and Black Pearl in a street fight. Good, entertaining match. Nastys were awesome.

    * Brutus Beefcake with Jimmy Hart beat Heidenreich in a short match with the sleeper hold. Brutus and Jimmy hit the ref adter the match and cut his hair.

    * Lacey Von Erich won a bikni contest. A local indy guy appeared and the Pimpfather hosted the thing.

    * Ric Flair cut an insane, amazing, great promo. Unreal here. Flair ripped on Hogan and said he would make him bleed like never before. Great stuff, worth the DVD probably. Everyone ate it up.

    * Ken Anderson defeated Sean Morley. Anderson didn't use his Kennedy schtick but replaced it with Anderson and was good on the mic. However, he looked like crap and he and the former Val Venis stunk the place up with this one. Kennedy won with the Mic Check.

    * Too Cool defeated Edward Smith Fatu (Umaga) and Orlando Jordan. Too Cool was made up of Rikishi and Brian Christopher. Umaga took a nasty bump. Too Cool got the win though and celebrated to an enormous pop afterwards.

    * Hulk Hogan defeated Ric Flair in the main event. Flair came out with different music, a bit of a remix to his usual theme. A Hogan promo aired before he came out and everyone ate it up. Hogan used his old WCW music. You could see lots of guys including Eric Bischoff at the curtain watching this one. Hogan looked off balance at times. Lots of blood here as both did the blade job. Flair was literally covered in blood. This was kind of slow but entertaining I guess. Flair locked on the Figure Four when LACEY VON ERICH ran out. Hogan hit the big boot when Lacey got on the apron and distracted the ref. Hogan got his brass knuckles and nailed Flair to win. Hogan celebrated while Flair made an exit left to the back. Hogan left the normal way and was congratulated it looked like by Eric Bischoff.

Abyss gets Mick on point about Raven and Stevie. He talks about how Raven came in without a TNA contract to put an end to Mick’s career and his vision. Foley points out that they have been part of some wars but they were always on the same side. Tonight, it will be finished when Mick and Abyss team to face Stevie and Raven. Stevie says that Foley put him in a match against Abyss to get rid of him in TNA. Stevie says that when you back a rabid animal into a corner, you get your face chewed off. In this case, Mick got his face burned off. Stevie tells Chris to remember one thing. It was Chris who started the war, but it will be them who end it.

Raven takes the mic and he says that he is a little bit disappointed in Mrs. Foley’s baby boy because he cares more about corporate affairs than revenge. PHILADELPHIA – With Survivor Series just 48 hours away, all of SmackDown's Superstars were looking looking to be the last one standing amidst a feverish rampage of brotherly destruction, animalistic rage, championship frenzy and Straightedge intervention that rocked Friday night to its very core.

World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker & Kane vs. Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show ended in a No Contest (PHOTOS | WATCH)
The Brothers of Destruction, two legendary forces of indescribable mayhem, remerged as one to take on Jericho and Big Show. However, the intense mega match between four of WWE’s elite Superstars was destined to descend into absolute bedlam from the beginning. When The World’s Largest Athlete stormed into the ring to break up The Deadman’s dreaded Hell’s Gate, he drew the wrath of The Big Red Machine, igniting an all out free-for-all that left the official no choice but to declare a no-contest.

When the smoke finally cleared, the squared circle anarchy had taken its toll on all four combatants. And with both The Phenom and Kane down, Jericho seized the moment and delivered a surprise Codebreaker to his own partner. The first-ever Undisputed WWE Champion snatched up the World Title and held it high above his head, sending a definitive message that this Sunday’s pay-per-view will truly be every one for himself.

Could this be a prophecy of things to come in the World Heavyweight Championship Triple Threat Match at Survivor Series? (Match preview)

Batista def. Matt Hardy (PHOTOS | WATCH)
An irate Batista roared onto SmackDown, focusing the full force of his relentless fury on Matt Hardy. After executing three consecutive spinbusters, The Animal hit a vicious Batista Bomb for the decisive victory. He later declared that Rey Mysterio, the source of his anger, would never again embarrass him the way he did last week, promising to decimate his former friend at the Survivor Series.

Tyson Kidd def. Rey Mysterio by Disqualification (PHOTOS | WATCH)
While Batista emanated silent intimidation from the broadcast table, Mysterio went round and round with Tyson Kidd. But seconds after The Animal cost his former comrade-in-arms the match by disqualification, the masked Superstar found an opening to dish out another humiliating hit-and-run attack on the Superstar he once called a brother. A completely enraged Batista failed to catch Mysterio and was left with nothing but egg on his face for the second week in a row.

Will Mysterio’s actions be his undoing at Survivor Series as the two former World Champions collide? (Match preview)

Intercontinental John Morrison def. Dolph Ziggler in 2-out-of-3 Falls Match for the Intercontinental Championship (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Despite suffering a major rib injury, The Guru of Greatness heroically rallied back to overcome Dolph Ziggler 2 falls to 1. Despite another impressive effort from his confident challenger, “The A-Lister” closed the door on the hard fought battle for the gold with Starship Pain.

Will The Friday Night Delight and the rest of Team Morrison survive on Sunday against Team Miz? (Match preview)

CM Punk’s Straightedge Intervention (PHOTOS | WATCH)
The Straightedge Superstar carried out a one-man Straightedge intervention on the WWE Universe, attempting to show them “how to survive” by disposing of cigarettes, prescription pills, and alcohol into a metal trash can. However, his efforts came to a sudden halt when R-Truth decided to carry out an intervention of his own. After knocking Punk to the ground, the rapping Superstar emptying the contents of the trash can on top of Punk before using it to bash The Second City Saint in his rib cage.

Who will chose the correct path to survival when Team Orton faces Team Kofi at Survivor Series? (Match preview)

Drew McIntyre def. Finlay (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Despite an aggressive attack of pure retribution by The Belfast Brawler for McIntyre’s shillelagh assault one week ago, The Scottish Superstar used a quick jab to the eye to set up his Double Arm Underhook DDT and walked away with the win.

Could McIntyre’s ruthless tactics be enough to grab triumphant for Team Miz this Sunday? (Match preview)

Mickie James def. Layla (PHOTOS | WATCH)
For the second week in a row, Women’s Champion Michelle McCool made Mickie James’ existence miserable on Friday nights.  After Mickie soundly defeated Layla, she was quickly introduced to Michelle’s personalized video version of “Old McDonald,” designed to degrade the new SmackDown Diva with its starring character “Piggy James.” The insulting stunt left the former Women’s Champion crying in the ring.

But who will be shedding tears of defeat when Team Michelle takes on Team Mickie at Survivor Series? (Match preview)

    Zack Ryder def. Shelton Benjamin
Eric Escobar def. Jimmy Wang Yang
    Mark Henry def. Cody Rhodes

“WWE Superstars” on WGN America this week featured three matches with some of the top young talent from all three brands – and The World’s Strongest Man.

Mark Henry def. Cody Rhodes (PHOTOS | WATCH)
In what is just a partial preview of this Sunday’s traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match pitting Team Kingston vs. Team Orton, The World’s Strongest Man flattened The Legacy member on his way to victory. Rhodes did whatever he could to out-maneuver Henry and gain the advantage in hopes of picking up the win, but the former ECW Champion’s unimaginable strength was too much, and once Henry caught the second-generation Superstar in The World’s Strongest Slam, it was all over. If this is any hint of what is to come Sunday, Team Orton is going to be highly disappointed with the outcome.

Eric Escobar def. Jimmy Wang Yang (PHOTOS | WATCH)
It looks like Vickie Guerrero has picked a winner once again, or at least such holds true this week, with Eric Escobar roping up Yang for the win. No matter what The Asian Redneck tried to do to rustle himself up a three-count, it wasn’t working, and in the end, Escobar showed Yang that Thursday nights aren’t for the rodeo, they’re for “WWE Superstars.” With a devastating running dropkick, Escobar incapacitated Wang and after the three-count, he had an intimate celebration with Vickie in the center of the ring.

Zack Ryder def. Shelton Benjamin (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Redemption was sought and found this week with Ryder picking up a victory over his ECW rival Shelton Benjamin. It seemed that things were going in the same direction as Ryder’s last two losses to The Gold Standard and that Benjamin was about to reach Paydirt literally and figuratively. Unfortunately for Shelton, Rosa Mendes provided the first distraction that benefitted the man infatuated with her, allowing Ryder to capitalize by slamming his opponent onto the mat and getting the 1-2-3.

Chris Jericho taking time off from WWE in 2010?

Chris Jericho taking time off from WWE in 2010?

Thanks to ExpressNightOut.com for the following:

WWE wrestler Chris Jericho says he hopes Hulk Hogan helps TNA become a bigger company to give the WWE competition in the marketplace. Jericho says a stronger TNA would help WWE become better. “Anything that makes that company bigger is better for us,” Jericho told expressnightout.com. “Competition is what we thrive on, so good luck to them. I hope they get a real big boost from it.” Jericho has said in interviews recently that he feels WWE is at a “crisis point” when it comes to a lack of new stars. A strong argument could be made that WWE doesn’t have a sense of urgency to create new stars due to a lack of true competition. If TNA were to begin making a dent in WWE’s business, it could lead to a sense of urgency that has been missing from WWE’s business model for promoting and elevating new stars.

Jericho says he might consider taking time off early next year to tour with his band “Fozzy” after the release of their next album in January. “We did a lot of touring overseas: U.K., Ireland, Australia, Scotland — we did really good in those markets. I would be really interested in doing that again, but it all depends on what kind of timeline I have,” Jericho told Express Night Out. “You can’t spread yourself too thin because that’s when you really start losing it. That’s what I did last time: I just had so much going on that I started losing my mind.” Jericho took a hiatus from WWE in 2005 and returned in November 2007 after what he called mental burnout. “I wasn’t really mentally there, and if you’re not mentally there in this job you might as well just quit because you get hurt or you hurt somebody else,” Jericho said.

Jericho took time to write his autobiography during his hiatus and is currently working a second book detailing his WWE career. He says he is delegating some of the book-writing to others after writing “every word” himself in the first book. “The first one, I was a complete control freak,” Jericho said. “Everything was under my control. This time, I’m delegating a little bit of the responsibility just so it can get done. If not, it probably wouldn’t get done at all because I just don’t have the time for it right now.”

PHILADELPHIA - ECW featured a double-branded tag team battle, as two SmackDown Superstars joined the Extreme main event in a Survivor Series preview. While ECW Champion Christian is the king of Extreme, it was former ECW titleholder CM Punk who dominated the match, and enters this Sunday’s pay-per-view with the advantage.

CM Punk & William Regal def. ECW Champion Christian & R-Truth (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Survivor Series opponents met on ECW on Syfy this week, as SmackDown’s CM Punk joined William Regal to take on the blue brand’s R-Truth and ECW Champion Christian. Punk & Regal – members of Team Orton at Survivor Series – earned the tag team victory. After R-Truth injured his leg during a kick to Regal, Christian attempted the Killswitch on Punk. But Regal retaliated with a running Knee Trembler, allowing Punk to capitalize and hit the ECW Champion with a devastating Go To Sleep. Christian & R-Truth enter Team Kingston at Survivor Series with a defeat, while Punk & Regal have the upper hand. Who will walk away from Survivor Series victorious? Tune in Sunday night at 8/7 CT, live and only on pay-per-view.

Mask vs. Career: The Hurricane def. Paul Burchill (PHOTOS | WATCH)
The Hurricane and Paul Burchill finally settled their rivalry, one-on-one, in a highly-anticipated, emotional Mask vs. Career Match. Justice wore a mask Tuesday night, as the crucial match up ended in The Hurricane’s favor. While Burchill was obsessed with unmasking The Hurricane and proving his theory that he’s really Gregory Helms, it was good that prevailed over evil. ECW’s watchful protector pinned The Ripper after a grueling match, and now, Burchill and his sister, Katie Lea, who was on the verge of tears post-match, must leave the Land of the Extreme for good. Where will the Burchills go? Will the WWE Universe ever learn the true identity of The Hurricane?

Zack Ryder’s challenge (PHOTOS | WATCH)
ECW’s newest Diva, Rosa Mendes, joined Zack Ryder in the ring on Tuesday to help him challenge his Extreme rival, Shelton Benjamin. The Gold Standard accepted the challenge, and thanks to a distraction from Rosa, Ryder got the last laugh when he nailed Benjamin before exiting the ring hand-in-hand with the Diva. Who will win their next match? Will Rosa impact Ryder’s performance?

Vance Archer def. local competitor (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Vance Archer earned his third victory Tuesday, demolishing another local competitor. The confident, new Superstar is quickly solidifying his spot in the Land of the Extreme with his undefeated record. How will the intense, Dallas-based Superstar ECW on Syfy? Who will dare face Archer next?

TNA & WWE reactions to Turning Point/Wolfe

According to Mike Aldren of The Wrestling Globe Newsletter, people in TNA (and WWE for that matter) were raving about the Turning Point PPV.

One source within WWE doesn't understand how WWE could let Desmond Wolfe slip away and sign with TNA.

Taz wrote on his Twitter page that Turning Point was one of top three PPVs he had ever witnessed live.

Sid Vicious heading to TNA Wrestling?

Sid Vicious heading to TNA Wrestling?

An email from Psycho Sid Promotions was sent out today claiming that the former WWE & WCW star is headed to TNA Wrestling. The email reads as follows:

The Return of the Master and Ruler of the World "Psycho" Sid Vicious is coming to TNA Wrestling!
    Spike TV Thursday Nights!
We warned WWE that this would Happen.
    Never say Never!
    Stay Tuned
    -Psycho Sid Promotions

Additionally, the official MySpace page (myspace.com/PsychoSidPromotions) of Psycho Sid Promotions now has a giant TNA Logo on the main page with the caption reading "Never Say Never." Although nothing has been confirmed, it seems as though Sid might be headed to TNA in the near future. Given the current story line involving Jay Lethal wrestling past superstars, it is very possible Sid could come in to work one taping if he's not signing on with the company in a long term capacity.

WWE Champion John Cena & World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker def. Triple H & Shawn Michaels and Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show in a Non-Title Match

NEW YORK - "Live from New York … it’s Monday Night Raw!”

That was how Raw’s special guest host, none other than “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, officially kicked off the broadcast from a place he knows well, The World’s Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden. And boy, the WWE Hall of Famer sure wasn't kidding.

WWE Champion John Cena & World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker def. Triple H & Shawn Michaels and Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show in a Non-Title Match (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Madison Square Garden has been witness to some of WWE’s most amazing Superstars throughout its storied history: Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant and Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka to name but a few. Rare, nonetheless, seems the time when such legends converge at once. That was inarguably the case, however, as WWE Champion John Cena teamed with World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker against Triple H & Shawn Michaels and Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match.

Looming large in the subtext was Survivor Series, during which The Champ will face The Game and HBK in a Triple Threat Match while The Phenom must battle Jericho and Show in a three-man affair. Tonight, though, all six Superstars would compete in one colossal clash.

In the end, the two World Champions would prevail when Cena secured the victory for his team. As if to let the WWE Universe know that he needs no assistance, The Deadman suddenly turned on his partner and Tombstoned Cena, leaving the WWE Champion razed and confused.

Raw’s special guest host for next week will be Gov. Jesse Ventura (WATCH)
He’s taken control of the ring, the announcer’s mic and even the state of Minnesota. And next week, it’ll be time for Gov. Jesse Ventura to take over as special guest host when he drops by for a three-hour Raw Thanksgiving special.

“Rowdy” Roddy Piper challenged Mr. McMahon to a street fight; Randy Orton attacked, Kofi Kingston rushed to the rescue (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Raw’s special guest host, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, has beaten cancer and cheated death on numerous occasions. One mountain he hasn’t climbed, though, is tackling Mr. McMahon in a street fight, which is why the plaid maniac challenged The Chairman to such a battle earlier in the evening.

As Piper waited in vain for Mr. McMahon to show, Randy Orton emerged, wanting a fight of his own. The Viper attacked the WWE Hall of Famer and had him on the ropes when Kofi Kingston charged into the melee. The respective Survivor Series captains of Team Kofi and Team Orton share a resentment-fueled history, which includes Kofi trashing Orton’s customized NASCAR automobile and slapping him across the face – twice! The two scuffled outside of the ring, trading blows amongst the WWE faithful. The action intensified when Kofi slammed Orton across the head, opening up a nasty gash and leaving The Viper lying hurt atop a table. The dreadlocked dynamo then climbed atop a railing and hit a Boom Drop onto Orton, severing the table into two and leaving his nemesis in gut-wrenching pain.

Jack Swagger def. Evan Bourne (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Jack Swagger – rarely has a name seemed more fitting. The cocky collegiate All-American wrestler appeared to lose a bit of bluster last week when he dropped a match to high-flying Evan Bourne. In their rematch this week, Swagger wasn’t about to allow his strut to be stripped. He grounded Bourne’s aerial assault and proved that he will be a force to contend with when he joins Team Miz this Sunday at Survivor Series against Bourne and Team Morrison.

Sheamus attacked Jerry “The King” Lawler (PHOTOS | WATCH)
His Irish temper has already claimed one victim, Jamie Noble, who retired last week after suffering a severe beating at the hands of The Celtic Warrior. This week, Sheamus issued an open challenge to the Raw roster, which no one accepted. Apparently, in a need to satiate his wicked ways, the Irishman attacked Raw’s timekeeper and then went after ring announcer Jerry “The King” Lawler, leaving the WWE Hall of Famer lying motionless.

Divas Champion Melina def. Alicia Fox in a Lumberjill Match (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Judah Friedlander never had it so good. The 30 Rock actor and comedian was honored as special guest ring announcer for the match between Divas Champion Melina and Alicia Fox. Friedlander announced that the bout would be a Divas Championship Lumberjill Match then happily looked on from ringside.

While Fox has showcased amazing resilience in recent weeks, Melina’s gutsy performance proved too much as the Latina lovely retained the golden butterfly. Apparently, a few of the Divas disapproved and the entire ring was covered with sexy, smart and powerful women clashing with one another.

Santino Marella def. Chavo Guerrero (PHOTOS | WATCH); Triple H Pedigreed Hornswoggle (WATCH)
The week prior, Chavo Guerrero wanted to fight Santino Marella, but, thanks to a misunderstanding, he ended up battling boxing great Ricky Hatton and getting knocked out by the special guest host. This week, he got his wish. Instead of trampling The Italian Stallion, however, the self-proclaimed “Mexican Warrior” fell short when Hornswoggle distracted him.

While the leprechaun, clad in DX gear, disappeared under the ring, the real DX emerged to quell rumors and settle matters once and for all. Triple H and Shawn Michaels informed the crowd that they will indeed fight one another at Survivor Series in their Triple Threat Match with WWE Champion John Cena, but that competition will not be their undoing as a team. They also called out a reluctant Hornswoggle to, as they put it, include him in DX. When the little guy showed up wearing neon green and performing DX chops, though, he suffered a damning Pedigree at the hands of Triple H in an extreme effort at thwarting the little imitator once and for all.

United States Champion The Miz def. MVP (PHOTOS | WATCH)
With his smarmy tone and taunting smirk, United States Champion The Miz makes it oh-so-easy to dislike him. Which is why it’s too bad the guy just keeps winning. This week, he defended his title against MVP and emerged victorious, despite The Franchise Playa having The View’s Sherri Shepherd cheering him from ringside. The bout may prove to be a primer for when Miz leads his team this Sunday against Intercontinental Champion John Morrison, also the captain of his team, in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper opens Raw (WATCH)
Before greeting the WWE Universe to another edition of Raw, the WWE Hall of Famer welcomed New York actor Luis Guzman, who has had memorable roles in Boogie Nights and Traffic and can be seen in the upcoming comedy Old Dogs. Piper announced that the two would be joined by a Guzman favorite, Iron Chef Bobby Flay. Unfortunately for the Puerto Rican actor, a mix-up produced not the Iron Chef but The Iron Sheik.

After telling Piper that his favorite WWE moment from The Garden involved Hulk Hogan, Sheik flipped his head dress, rambling angrily and mimicking beating up on Hulk with a pair of action figures.

With that, the WWE Universe welcomed another wild and crazy edition of Raw to The Garden, complete with a rockin' new opening theme song compliments of Nickelback. (WATCH)

    WORDEN WWE ANNOUNCERS VERVANGEN?

    Partial Source: PWInsider

Sources say that Michael Cole has some major heat on him right now from within WWE. The feeling is that he isn't taking his job seriously anymore and officials aren't happy with some of his "stupid" comments made on TV lately. They also feel that he is no longer putting the company first.

There may be another shuffling of announcers soon as Jerry Lawler being attacked on RAW Monday night and Matt Striker filling in for him was done so WWE could test the waters to see how the different announcers work together. Vince is said to be very high on Matt Striker at the moment.

Word is that several people who had been trying out for the new WWE announcer spot were contacted this past week and thanked for applying but were told that someone else had been hired.
