Dixie Carter wants 'beautiful women' that can actually wrestle

-- Women's wrestling blog site Diva-Dirt.com is reporting that TNA president Dixie Carter recently issued a mandate to strictly hire 'beautiful women'. It was noted that while she is solely interested in hiring 'beautiful women', she wants women who can actually wrestle.

As reported earlier, former WWE Diva Kristal Marshall is expected to join the promotion in the near future. TNA officials also have their sights set on another former Diva, that being Candice Michelle.

Michelle's name has been discussed in recent weeks in regards to bringing her in. She was released from WWE on June 17, 2009, shortly after being cleared to return to the ring. Hence, her ninety-day no-compete clause is set to expire two weeks from now

JIM ROSS ZIET TNA WEL ALS OPTIE

His contract with World Wrestling Entertainment is set to expire at the end of the year and the company has yet to offer him a new one.

It should be noted however that Ross is considering all of his options and joining TNA is very much a possible scenario he's taking seriously. He could just as well stay in WWE though.

    Update Angelina Love

The official TNA website removed Angelina Love's bio from the roster page this afternoon, thus confirming Internet reports saying she is no longer an active member of the TNA roster. Her photos have also been removed from the Knockouts photo gallery. It was reported earlier today that TNA released Love after an apparent issue with her working visa not being renewed.

    Angelina Love ontslagen

Former TNA Knockouts Champion Angelina Love has been released by TNA. The reason for the release is that there was some form of issue with her work Visa either expiring or not being properly renewed. Love has been working under the Visa that she was issues when she got her WWE developmental deal. Due to her not having the proper paper work, TNA was said to have their hands tied, since they cannot legally use her without the proper paperwork complete.

It will be interested to see how TNA handles the situation and writes her out of the storylines, as Angelina Love and Velvet Sky had advanced to the finals of the Knockouts tag title tournament, which will conclude at the No Surrender pay-per-view. Love and Sky, forming The Beautiful People, have been the top heel act on the Knockouts division since they formed their alliance.

ROH STER Nigel McGuinness naar wwe
    Nigel_McGuinness11.jpg image by Johnmantanger94
ROHWrestling.com has posted the following, announcing that Nigel McGuinness has agreed in principle to a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment:

Nigel McGuinness has agreed in principle to a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment.

Nigel has been a tremendous leader in the Ring of Honor locker room and, without question, a wonderful performer. His merits, both in and out of the ring, are extraordinary and any locker room with Nigel McGuinness in it is better for it. We couldn't be happier for Nigel as he takes the next step in his stellar wrestling career, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Nigel for all he's worked for and through.

Nigel has pledged to fulfill his scheduled Ring of Honor commitments. Please join us in Philadelphia, Boston, and New York as we bid an extremely fond farewell to another member of our family.

Everyone at Ring of Honor is extremely proud to have called both Nigel McGuinness and Bryan Danielson their own; and we looking forward to seeing their stars shine brighter than ever. Like many of the wonderful sons of Ring of Honor that have written new chapters in their wrestling annals, we will look on with a bittersweet smile to the future where we have no doubt that Nigel and Bryan will amaze the masses – just like they've done so many times in Ring of Honor.

With the closing of this chapter a new one opens in Ring of Honor. We now look to an exciting time where new stars will blaze their own paths, while looking back in reverence to those who came before them. Who will seize the opportunity and carry the torch for ROH? We only hope that whoever it is will carry it with the same respect - the same honor - that Bryan and Nigel have.

Evan Bourne def. “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters
    William Regal def. Tyler Reks
The Hart Dynasty def. Cryme Tyme and Eve in a Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match

With two weeks to go until WWE Breaking Point, Superstars and Divas from Raw, SmackDown and ECW waged war on another amazing edition of “WWE Superstars.” From a David and Goliath showdown between the high-flying Evan Bourne and "The Masterpiece" Chris Masters to a wild Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match, tonight’s show lived up to the “WWE Superstars” promise — expect everything.

Don’t know where to catch “WWE Superstars”? Find WGN America in your area. Can't see “WWE Superstars” on WGN America in your area? Stay with WWE.com for full results, photos and video clips of all the action.

Evan Bourne def. “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters (Photos | Watch)
On paper, it looked like it was going to be a rough night for Raw’s resident high-flyer, Evan Bourne. Up against a much larger opponent in Chris Masters, Bourne was clearly the underdog going into tonight’s contest, but the explosive Superstar wasn’t about to back down. As expected, The Masterpiece controlled the early part of the bout, dominating Bourne with wrenching submissions, but “Air” Bourne began to mount a comeback. Using his unique offense to take Masters off his feet, Bourne found an opportunity to hit the top rope and execute a breathtaking Shooting Star Press. The amazing maneuver is exactly what Bourne needed to stop the hulking Chris Masters and pull off a huge victory.

William Regal def. Tyler Reks (Photos | Watch)
Flanked by the monstrous Vladimir Kozlov and Ezekiel Jackson, William Regal walked to the ring with the air of a British royal and then proceeded to attack ECW’s Tyler Reks with all the aggression of a barroom brawler. Executing the brutal holds he learned on the rough streets of Blackpool, England, Regal dominated the young ECW competitor and claimed another victory. But Reks’ bad night didn’t end there. After Regal scored the win, Jackson and Kozlov entered the ring and delivered a series of devastating maneuvers to the surfing Superstar. Can ECW Champion Christian expect the same fate on next Tuesday’s ECW on Syfy?

The Hart Dynasty def. Cryme Tyme and Eve in a Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match (Photos | Watch)
Tonight’s Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match, pitting Cryme Tyme & Eve against Tyson Kidd, David Hart Smith and Natalya, was one of the rare occasions in which Superstars and Divas occupy the squared circle at the same time. This unique stipulation clearly benefited The Hart Dynasty, a trio who has been together since their training days in the legendary Hart Family Dungeon in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Utilizing the technical skills they learned at the educated hands of Bret Hart, The Dynasty was able to stop the explosive offense of Cryme Tyme and control the flow of the match. In the end, Natalya managed to pin Eve to score a big victory for her team in the main event of “WWE Superstars.”

Jenna Morasca en TNA uit elkaar

former Survivor star Jenna Morasca is done with TNA wrestling. Her contract recently came up for renewal, and sources say that both sides came to an agreement not to renew the deal.

Morasca debuted last March and was brought into the Main Event Mafia as their financial backer. She will be remembered for her match at Victory Road with Sharmell, which was considered by most as the worst match in the company's 7-year history.

ROXXI DAN TOCH NIET ONDER CONTRACT BIJ TNA

As noted earlier, former TNA Knockout Roxxi (Nicole Raczynski) worked an iMPACT! taping earlier this week to participate in the Knockouts Tag Team Championship Tournament. It was apparently a one-night return as Roxxi told people nobody said anything to her about returning as a regular nor was she offered a contract with the organization. She had just started working with the AAA promotion in Mexico and contacted them to say even though she worked for TNA, she's still ready to work for them. Roxxi was let go by TNA this past April after she and Rhaka Khan had a problem in a match that carried over backstage resulting in both being suspended. When Roxxi was let go, it was believed to be as result of Khan's relationship with Kurt Angle at the time.

    Off-air Smackdown notes: DX/Legacy in a cage

Thanks to TJ Church for sending in this live report from the Cleveland Smackdown taping:

-There was only 1 dark match. Dolph Ziggler ripped on the people of Cleveland, before beating Jimmy Wang Yang.

-As announced weeks ago by the venue Website, the dark match main event after the show was DX vs. Legacy in a steel cage.

HHH & HBK come out to a huge reaction. HHH does his usual opening, until after he says the line about "the millions watching at home". HBK signals to him to cut that part. HHH asks around for the time. When told it's 10:30, he tells Shawn, "Raw doesn't go off the air until 11, so we're good." HBK whispers in his ear, & HHH says, "What're we doing on Smackdown?" More whispering gets, "You mean this isn't gonna be on TV at all?"

HHH says, "...thousands in attendance, &... Well, because it's Tuesday, but nobody will see any of what's just happened until Friday, but we're here anyway, so let's make the most of it,...".

Legacy comes out to huge heel heat. HBK holds the cage door open for them, but HHH is making them back away from it. DX appears to have problems deciding who will start the match for them, so the official reminds them they can tag in-&-out. They then do so about 10x without any bells or offense happening.

DX wins the match with simultaneous final moves. HHH seems to have gone backstage quickly after, but HBK circles the ring, shaking hands & interacting with fans.

Major update on Traci Brooks in Playboy

Major update on Traci Brooks in Playboy

    Credit: PWPix.net

Due to a change of plans, Tracy Brookshaw (professionally known as "Traci Brooks" of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling fame), 34, will not be gracing the pages of Playboy after all, let alone the cover of the magazine as previously planned. Instead, her nude pictorial will be released online.

Playboy sent out their September 2009 Cyber Club VIP Newsletter this morning to subscribers of the "Playboy Cyber Club" detailing the month's upcoming pictorials. It's noted that Brooks will be featured on the pay website later this month when her nude photos are released on the 17th.

Regarding Brooks, the newsletter noted the following: "Ever wanted to see a TNA wrestler's T & A? Here's your chance as Total Nonstop Action grappler Traci Brooks takes it all off, exclusively for Cyber Club members."

It was reported last week that Playboy had opted to pull the female grappler from her scheduled appearance in the publication in favor of a tribute to the late Farrah Fawcett, who passed away this past June.

Had things gone as scheduled, Brooks would have been the first TNA Knockout ever to grace the cover and pages of Playboy. Brooks was indeed set to grace to the cover of magazine at one point as she told the UK's Sun newspaper a few weeks ago that she would appearing on the cover and going on a media tour in October promoting the issue.

    Shelton Benjamin def. Zack Ryder
Ezekiel Jackson & Vladimir Kozlov def. local competitors
Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels – The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania Special
    Sheamus def. Goldust

CLEVELAND – Irish Eyes were smiling upon Sheamus Tuesday night, as The Celtic Warrior finally found his pot of Extreme gold with a victory over Goldust on ECW on Syfy.

Sheamus def. Goldust (No Count-Outs, No Disqualifications) (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After a double count-out finish to their last match (PHOTOS | WATCH), and an intense confrontation recently on “The Abraham Washington Show,” Sheamus and Goldust were determined to put their intense rivalry to the test once again. In a No Count-Outs, No Disqualifications Match, The Celtic Warrior defeated The Bizarre One. But the win didn’t come easily, as Goldust powerfully fought off numerous attacks by Sheamus – who at one point retreated up the ramp, mid-match – before finally succumbing to The Irish Curse. Is this the end of the road for Sheamus and Goldust? Has The Celtic Warrior finally proven he’s the dominant Superstar?

Ezekiel Jackson & Vladimir Kozlov def. local competitors (PHOTOS | WATCH)
With William Regal at ringside, Ezekiel Jackson & Vladimir Kozlov easily defeated two local competitors in ECW tag team action. The British Brawler further punished one of his associates’ opponents with The Regal Stretch, but was interrupted by ECW Champion Christian and Tommy Dreamer, both wielding Singapore Canes. While Jackson and Kozlov put up a strong fight, Christian and Dreamer prevailed, gaining the upper hand against No. 1 contender Regal and his devious associates. On next week’s ECW, Christian & Dreamer will meet Jackson & Kozlov in tag team action. The ECW Champion and the ECW Original have momentum going into this match, but do they have what it takes to defeat Regal’s unstoppable associates?

“The Abraham Washington Show” with Gregory Helms (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After an introduction by his new sidekick, WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas, Abraham Washington welcomed this week’s special guest – Gregory Helms. The ECW backstage interviewer has been surrounded by controversy lately. Paul Burchill and his sister, Katie Lea, are convinced Helms is really The Hurricane. But during the talk show, the superhero Superstar appeared on the “Hurri-Cam” to challenge The Ripper to a match on next week’s ECW on Syfy. Will Burchill finally prove his theory that Helms is really The Hurricane? Will the masked Superstar triumph against his foe?

Shelton Benjamin def. Zack Ryder (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Unable to compete as tag team partners on last week’s ECW (PHOTOS | WATCH), Shelton Benjamin and Zack Ryder squared off against each other. Regardless of their competitions to determine which is the more entertaining Superstar, The Gold Standard came out on top when it came down to a match. Despite a strong effort by Ryder, Benjamin hit Paydirt on the cocky, Long Island-bred Superstar to seal the Extreme victory. Is that the end of these Superstars’ rivalry? Or will Benjamin and Ryder continue to clash on Tuesday nights?

Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels – The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania Special

    Kevin Thorn Naar tna?

Former WWE star Kevin Thorn worked tonight's TNA iMPACT! taping in Orlando, FL. Thorn used the name 'Serpent' and was defeated by Kip James with the Fameasser. This was likely a dark match.

After RAW ended: DX and Dusty Rhodes

Thanks to Jon Krakower for sending in the following:

I was at the Raw show tonight, and after the show went off the air, with DX, Cena and Dusty Rhodes all lying in the ring.... Legacy and Orton are walking up the ramp as Triple H gets on the mic and says "Well that didn't go as planned... Why don't you guys come back down here and see if you can do it again.... Legacy starts to walk back up the ramp, and were chased by DX and Cena..(Dusty Rhodes is still shaking off the RKO).

A ref comes out, and now we have a 6 man tag match..... Pretty back and forth, with HBK taking a lot of the punishment...At one point, Cody Rhodes has HBK down, and then knocks Cena and Triple H off the apron.... Dusty Rhodes gets up on the apron, and begs HBK to tag him in...He gets the tag, then gives Cody the elbow, and continues to do the same to Legacy... We then see Orton as the last man standing, surronded by DX, Cena and Dusty Rhodes.... Rhodes hits the elbow, HBK with Sweet Chin Music, Triple H with the pedigree and the match ends with Orton tapping out to the STF.

After the match, HBK gets on the mic and says, "Ya know Cena, every time we come out here to save you, we forget to do our pre match stuff" As Triple H was getting ready to do his thing, HBK, Cena and Rhodes were having a very funny moment.... Finally Triple H gets to do the "Are You Ready...", then HBK gets ready to do his thing, but then decides to let Dusty Rhodes say "If you're not down with that..." Then all 4 men do the crotch chop, pyro and all. HBK and Triple H then entertain, and Hi-Five the fans in the front row..... I was one of them.... It was all pretty cool, especially after it seemed like we wouldn't see much action for a main event.... Although not televised, it made the night amazing.

Matt Hardy blog pulled from WWE website

Matt Hardy blog pulled from WWE website

Matt Hardy's WWE Universe blog on brother Jeff's WWE departure has been removed.

WWE.com blog entries related to departures have a history of disappearing; earlier this summer, Candice Michelle's exit comments were pulled despite being complimentary of the company. Hardy's comments on Jeff similarly featured nothing outlandish or unnecessarily revealing, with the only particularly newsworthy element being the claim that Hardy was working with herniated discs and other nagging injuries.

In adding the blog being to his MySpace account, Hardy noted that he has "no idea" why the blog disappeared from WWE's website.
