    WWE Smackdown Results
    June 21, 2013
    Dayton, Ohio
Report by: Mike Tedesco of Wrestleview.com

"Then. Now. Forever." The WWE video leads us into the show.

A video kicks off the show that highlights some of the events from WWE Payback. Curtis Axel won the WWE Intercontinental Championship, AJ Lee won the WWE Diva's Championship, The Shield retained their titles, Alberto Del Rio won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, CM Punk defeated Chris Jericho in his return match, and John Cena beat Ryback in a Three Stages of Hell match to retain the WWE Championship.

Daniel Bryan makes his way to the ring to a tremendous reception as Michael Cole and John "Bradshaw" Layfield welcome us to the show. Bryan stands in the ring as the crowd showers him with "Yes" chants. Bryan says something happened to him on RAW that never happened to him before. In his thirteen years in this industry, he has never had a match stopped due to injury. When the doctor asked if he could continue, he said, "Yes!" Unfortunately, the doctor and WWE officials didn't agree. Officially, the company line is that they were concerned for his health so they stopped the match. Realistically, they stopped the match because they think he's the weak link and not tough enough.

That's not even the worst part of it. The worst offender and perpetrator is Randy Orton. Bryan then has them roll footage from this week's RAW. It shows highlights of the match with the doctor telling the referee to call off the match. Orton was declared the winner. Orton then helped Bryan up and hugged him. He seemed concerned for him.

Bryan wants to get this straight. Instead of fighting to keep the match going, pleading with the doctors and WWE officials, and raging against the machine with him side-by-side, all Orton did was pick him up and pat him on the head like a little brother or dog. In Orton's eyes, Bryan saw nothing but pity. Tonight, he doesn't care what the doctors, WWE officials, and Randy Orton thinks. He will prove that he is not the weak link. Is he going to beat Randy Orton tonight? "Yes, yes, yes!"

Randy Orton's music hits, and he makes his way to the ring looking none too happy. Orton says Bryan has it all wrong. The reason why the match was stopped was because people were concerned for his wellbeing. Orton was concerned himself. He wanted to stop fighting, but Bryan kept coming and coming. He had no choice, but that made him respect Bryan even more. The match was stopped because Bryan couldn't defend himself anymore. When he helped him up, it wasn't because of pity. It was because of respect.

Bryan shakes his head, and he tells Orton not to patronize him. Bryan doesn't see any respect. He sees pity. Bryan knows that Orton thinks he's the weak link. He said it on Monday. Tonight, he'll prove how tough he is. He proved it last week when he beat The Shield. He's going to take all this respect, and he's going to shove it right down Orton's throat. Orton says Bryan is way out of line. If Bryan wants it that badly, then fine. Tonight, they're going to fight, and he's going to hurt Bryan. Tonight, when the officials stop their match, Bryan won't be walking out. He'll be carried out. Orton tells him to respect that before walking off. Bryan stands in the ring shaking his head.

Chris Jericho will take on Alberto Del Rio in a non-title match later tonight. We'll also see Curtis Axel defend his WWE Intercontinental Championship against the former champion Wade Barrett.

Sheamus makes his way to the ring. He'll be in action, next.

Impact Wrestling starts out with a video from earlier today. It shows Sting walking down a ramp outside of the arena. He walks past the camera and continues on his way.

A video plays showcasing the Bound for Glory Series. It shows the past stars that have been involved over the past two years. This is the third year. 12 men enter but only 1 man will win it all. Bobby Roode won the first and Jeff Hardy won the second series. He went on to become TNA World Champion. Who will go on to Bound for Glory and fight for the TNA World Championship? This will change someone’s life!

The camera shows the arena and the place is packed! The crowd is on their feet. They are all cheering. Stars are shown in the ring. 10 of the 12 men are already in the ring. These 10 men are in the Bound for Glory Series. Hulk Hogan’s music plays and here comes The Hulkster! He plays his fake guitar and does his taunts to get the crowd pumped up! He has a mic in his hand. The music stops. He wants to welcome all of the Impact-maniacs to the Bound for Glory Series! Also, tonight is Open Fight Night! Right now, he wants to bring two men out who already qualified because of their past victories. He introduces the person who won the 2011 Series and went on to be the longest reigning champion in TNA history. Here is Bobby Roode! Roode comes out and walks slowly past Hogan. He continues down the ramp. The other man he wants to bring out is the 2012 Series winner and he went on to become TNA World Champion. Here is Jeff Hardy! Jeff’s music plays and here he comes. He shakes the hand of Hulk and continues his way down the ramp. The crowd does a great pop. Hulk says tonight is the kick off of Bound for Glory Series. Each man can fight tonight as it is Open Fight Night. The first call-out is either between Roode or Hardy as the fans got to vote for on TNA’s site. The person who wins the vote is Hardy. Who is he calling out? Jeff grabs a mic as the other participants stand around him. Austin grabs a mic and tells him to hold on. Austin wants to be the man who Jeff calls out first. We know that won’t happen though. Jeff may be the most popular person in this company, but there is one person who has a fan base every place they go to and that is Aries! Daniels grabs a mic and tells Aries that he has a point. Maybe he should call out Aries or Park or Magnus. He shouldn’t be calling out either member of Bad Influence. If he did, he would start with a demoralizing defeat of his career. Jeff says they all are great, but someone made it personal last week. That is Roode. He calls him out! Roode steps forward and pushes Hardy. Hardy goes to push back but Joe gets involved and pushes Roode back. Just then, every member gets involved and there is a huge brawl between every member! They exit the ring and then enter back in. Chaos!

    -Commercial

The show returns and a video replay shows the huge brawl that just happened before the commercial break.

A graphic shows the point system for the Bound for Glory Series. Submission is 10 points while pinfall is 7 points and so on.

Aces & 8s music plays and here comes Mr. Anderson! He comes through the crowd and gets in the ring. He grabs a mic. He states that is is Open Fight Night and the start of the Bound for Glory Series. He gets to call someone out. Ladies and germs, this @sshole has a dub. Come out, Joseph Park….Park! Music plays and here comes Joseph! He gets in the ring.

Mr. Anderson vs. Joseph Park in a Bound for Glory Series Match

The bell sounds and Anderson steps forward and so does Park. They go to lock-up but Anderson goes behind him and hits him on the head to bully him. Ken bend s forward and tells him to do another headlock. He does but Ken slides out and does an armlock. Ken gets up and does a dropkick to Park’s leg. He falls. Ken hits Park’s face and steps on his hand. He puts him in the corner and continues to punch him in the face. Ken whips him in the opposing corner. He runs but Park moves and does a roll-up. He kicks out. Both get up and Ken does a neckbreaker. He covers but Park kicks out. Ken applies a headlock. Park gets up and elbows his way out of it. He goes to run but Ken whips his head back to the mat. Anderson climbs the corner. He does a swanton bomb move but Park moves out of the way. Both get up and Park punches Ken in the head and whips him in the ropes. He does a back body drop. He hits him with a closeline. Ken goes in the corner. Park runs to him but Ken moves. WWE Issues New Statement on Brother Killing Sister
WWE Issues New Statement on Brother Killing Sister

Posted by Steve Carrier on 06/19/2013 at 03:22 PM

As noted earlier, five-year old Viloude Louis was killed by her 13 year old brother after he allegedly used wrestling moves that he learned from TV. The 13 year old told police that he was wrestling with the victim and used "WWE" style wrestling moves.

WWE has provided an updated statement on the situation:

"The death of Viloude Louis is a tragedy and we express our heartfelt condolences," WWE said. "Authorities have already charged the accused with second degree murder and determined that this was not an accidental death due to a wrestling move. The facts of this case clearly point to a lack of parental supervision and a teenager who had a history of violent behavior toward his 5-year-old stepsister. It is illogical to conclude that the repeated, brutal, and ultimately fatal beating of a 5-year-old little girl by a teenager could be confused with imitation of WWE action seen on TV."

For those who missed it, here is WWE's original statement:

"The death of Viloude Louis is a tragedy, and our condolences go out to her family.

WWE urges restraint in reporting this unfortunate incident as if it were the result of a WWE wrestling move. As in similar cases, criminal intent to harm and a lack of parental supervision have been the factors resulting in a tragic death.

Authorities have already charged the accused with second degree murder and determined that this was not an accidental death due to a wrestling move."

     - Five-year old Viloude Louis was killed by her 13 year old brother after he allegedly used wrestling moves that he learned from TV. The 13 year old told police that he was wrestling with the victim and used "WWE" style wrestling moves.

Viloude's brother, Devalon Armstrong, allegedly slammed his sister onto a bed and beat her. She suffered multiple injuries including broken ribs, internal bleeding and lacerations of the liver. The boy called police after his sister stopped breathing. Paramedics were teaching him over the phone how to use CPR to keep her alive but she died shortly after police arrived and paramedics were unable to revive her.

Devalon has been charged with second degree murder.

More on Daniel Bryan Getting Hurt at RAW
More on Daniel Bryan Getting Hurt at RAW

As noted before, Daniel Bryan legitimately suffered a stinger in his match against Randy Orton on last night's RAW. WWE officials stopped the match because of this.

The planned finish had Bryan defeating Orton to help set up Bryan's main event run this summer.

We also noted how WWE's website aired a video of Triple H explaining that Bryan confronted him about the decision to stop the match but they both apologized to each other. This was also a shoot.

When Bryan returned to the back, he was "irate" and complained to Triple H that the match should not have been stopped. They got into a loud argument in the gorilla position backstage with a lot of people looking on. People were shocked because Bryan is usually soft spoken and good natured, plus he was standing up to Triple h of all people.

Bryan complained that he's worked all over the world, worked hurt and knows when he can go and when he can't. Triple H argued that they were protecting him and they don't want anyone working hurt. Both men did apologize to each other.

    - According to Bryan Alvarez, the storyline where Daniel Bryan suffered a stinger during his match with Randy Orton was actually a legitimate injury. Bryan was originally scheduled to win against Orton, but once the injury occurred, plans changed and the match was stopped. The argument that Bryan had with Triple H backstage was also added to the storyline after the injury occurred.

Sting Interview: Talks Direct-To-DVD Movie, Training, Wrestling At His Age And More

Sting Interview: Talks Direct-To-DVD Movie, Training, Wrestling At His Age And More

TNA Wrestler Sting recently spoke to Matt Tuthill of Muscle & Fitness Magazine on a variety of subjects. Below is a quick recap:

On his appearance in the direct to dvd Christian movie Revelation Road:

My character is a bad guy in a biker gang. Brian is the leader of the gang and we’re creating havoc everywhere we go. I’m a guy who’s had the short end of the stick his entire life so I end up in a biker gang. This is the story of the end times, a story of how God is trying to grab hold of each one of us and get through to us. The reason why I wanted to do it is because of the message. It’s not just an action movie. It’s a movie with a message. It’s something beyond pro wrestling and beyond entertainment, and beyond this life.

His training Regiment in his prime:

I never did the powerlifting thing, but the goal was to lift heavy. Four plates squatting for reps – 4-5, 8-10, 315 for 20, 225 for 50 – leg extensions, leg curls and that’s how we trained every single week. On the bench , my best was 435 – I was younger and I was on the gas, too. There were guys who weighed a lot less than I did who could easily do that. But I didn’t really train for power or strength. I trained for size. That’s all I was training for. My knees are arthritic now. I don’t have a whole lot of flexibility left. Thankfully, I got smart somehow or another in 1990 and stopped taking steroids – totally stopped. A lot of the guys I ran with all those years continued to take steroids year after year – those guys are having their knees and their hips replaced. I’m not saying everybody who gets their knees and their hips replaced took steroids. I just noticed that the guys who did that were too big, too bulky, too heavy, and the body couldn’t handle it and it took its toll. So that was my one saving grace, but I would train differently now. I’m actually doing pretty good for a guy my age – I just turned 54 – and I’m still hanging in there. I can move a little bit in the ring. I can’t do half of what I used to be able to do, but I get around.

On staying in the ring at the age of 54:

I’ve learned not to give a time. I can’t go on wrestling much longer. I’m taking it, literally, one month at a time. I’m under contract until January of next year, so we’ll see what’s happening. I do want to do more movies. I’m looking at a few different things, reality shows being one of them. I’m just trying to move onto the next season of my life. As far as wrestling goes, I’ve stayed away from the creative part of it all these years, I just don’t want to sit in on the meetings and babysit wrestlers and personalities and all that. But, there are things I’d like to see happen in pro wrestling and I may try to make it materialize. I don’t know.

Report by: Mike Tedesco of Wrestleview.com

"Then. Now. Forever." The WWE video leads us into the show.

A video opens the show that shows Dolph Ziggler's return to Monday Night RAW from his concussion. Chris Jericho, with some help from Alberto Del Rio, defeated Big E Langston. Tonight, Alberto Del Rio will team with Chris Jericho to take on Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston. With Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton not getting along well, Vickie Guerrero has them teaming up this Sunday to take on Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns at WWE Payback with the WWE Tag Team Championships on the line. Kane will also face Dean Ambrose for the WWE United States Championship. Tonight, Team Hell No will take on The Shield in the main event.

Michael Cole and John "Bradshaw" Layfield welcome us to the show as Daniel Bryan's music hits. Bryan makes his way to the ring to a massive reception with tons of "Yes" chants. Bryan, despite receiving such a loving reception, does not look happy.

Bryan grabs a microphone, and he says if you had asked him when he first debuted in the WWE if he would become a World Champion, he would have said, "Yes." If you asked him if he'd lose that World Championship in an 18-second match, he would have said, "No." If you had asked him if he could win the Tag Team Championships with anyone on the roster, he would have said, "Yes." However, he didn't think he'd spend nine months with the Devil's Favorite Demon. That doesn't change the fact that Team Hell No is one of the best tag teams in WWE history. With that said, he calls Kane out to the ring. Bryan then plugs his ears for Kane's pyro.

Kane's pyro explodes, and he makes his way to the ring. Kane gets in the ring, and he says he knows why Daniel called him out. This isn't the time or the place. The only thing he's interested in is their six-man tag team match against The Shield tonight. Bryan says they need to get things out in the open. The last nine months have been an incredible ride. They've been in battles together. They've been an awesome team in the ring, and he's proud of what they've done outside the ring to become better partners. But at Payback, Kane won't be his partner. When he wins, he's going to be the Tag Team Champion with someone else. Bryan puts his hand on Kane's shoulder, and he says he won't be teaming with Kane anymore.

Kane says, "Let me get this straight - are you like breaking up with me?" Kane says the same thing will happen when he wins the US Title from Dean Ambrose on Sunday. Bryan says he supposes Kane could be right, but they could still team if Kane wins that title. He and Orton are going to be the Tag Team Champions. Vickie was wrong. It's not going to be Team R-K-Never. It's going to be Team R-K-NO! Kane can't believe that Bryan is making up cute little names. Bryan is acting like it's a given that he's going to win. Kane doesn't see how he could because together they couldn't beat The Shield. The other thing is that Bryan despises Randy Orton. Bryan asks if Kane thinks he can do it, and Kane doesn't think he can.

Bryan says Kane thinks that way because he thinks he is the weak link. Kane says he didn't say that. Bryan says he had The Shield beat with Orton last Friday. At Payback, they will win. He'll prove to everybody, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he is not the weak link. Kane will have to sit back and know that he and Randy did something that Kane could never do. That can only mean one thing. Kane asks if he's saying that he's the weak link. Bryan says this isn't the right time, and Kane demands that he answer the question. Bryan screams that Kane is the weak link. Kane grabs Bryan by the throat.

Randy Orton's music hits, and he quickly comes out to defuse the situation. Orton says he can't let Kane Chokeslam Bryan. He understands why Kane wants to Chokeslam Daniel Bryan, and he understands. He would mind watching, either. However, Orton needs Bryan at 100% on Sunday. Whatever Kane does to Bryan directly affects him. Orton gets in the ring, and he says if Kane Chokeslams him then he'll start a chain reaction that ends with him giving Kane an RKO. Kane tells him to stay out of this. Bryan says he didn't ask Orton to come out. Orton can't believe it. He says he just saved Bryan from having his ass Chokeslammed through the mat. Bryan says he didn't ask him to save him. Orton asks about the partnership.

Kane says he's had enough. He tells them to work it out, and he'll see them in the ring later. Kane goes to leave, and Bryan tells him to walk off like he always does. Kane turns around and asks him what he means. Bryan also turns to Orton, and he tells him that he didn't need to be saved.

The Shield appears on the big screen, and they're smiling at what they're seeing. Seth Rollins tells them to do what they've got to do. It's kind of funny watching them out there. Dean Ambrose says after six-months of not being able to beat The Shield, he'd be mad as well. They're not mad at them, though. They're mad at each other. After all these months of trying to put super-teams together to beat them, they've found out every time that The Shield is unstoppable and unbeatable. The real question is if they believe in The Shield now. It looks like they do. There's no reason for them to argue. Tonight will be like every other night they've faced The Shield. Roman Reigns says they'll lose tonight, and they'll lose at Payback. That's why the Hounds of Justice run this yard. They put the camera down as Bryan, Kane, and Orton continue to argue in the ring.

Sheamus is smiling as he walks backstage. He'll be in action, next.

This match will exceed the expectations of the first two matches they've had on PPV. Punk-Jericho III. You're not going to want to miss Payback.
