El Generico Has Not Signed With WWE

Contrary to reports that independent wrestler El Generico has signed with WWE, PWInsider.com is now reporting that Generico has not yet signed with the company - and is currently undergoing WWE's vigorous physical examinations before he's offered a contract.

In the past, there have been several issues that led to WWE signings being delayed (Kassius Ohno & Daniel Bryan) and negotiations breaking down (Nigel McGuiness) pending the results of medical examinations.

Posted by Steve Carrier on 01/07/2013 at 07:22 PM

    - The first RAW of 2013 kicks off with an electrifying video package for The Rock's return. Rock is here to evaluate which ever Superstar may be his Royal Rumble opponent - WWE Champion CM Punk or his opponent tonight, Ryback.

    - We're live from Tampa, Florida as Michael Cole welcomes us to RAW. We go right to the ring and out comes John Cena to a mixed reaction.

Cena hits the ring and we get a look back at the New Years Eve RAW where he slopped AJ Lee and Dolph Ziggler to end the show. Cena hypes the crowd and says tonight is special. He talks about Punk vs. Ryback in the TLC Match. He then brings up The Rock's return and says you can almost feel the electricity, almost feel the boots wanting to be put to asses. Cena hypes Rock's return and the crowd pops. Cena brings up the Road to WrestleMania and Royal Rumble. Cena is interrupted by Dolph Ziggler, AJ Lee and Big E Langston on the stage.

Ziggler says fans may have came for Cena or Rock tonight but they will remember him. AJ speaks and she's upset about Cena slopping her last week. She's also upset about Cena toying with her heart. AJ can't believe she chose to lose her job over someone like Cena. She calls him a petty, pathetic, small man. A very small man, she adds. Cena says AJ just made her first wiener joke. Cena gets the crowd to do the wave and AJ is getting upset. Cena goes on and Ziggler interrupts him. Ziggler has had enough. Punk wipes a bit of blood on his shirt and faces the camera. He slips the WWE logo off the microphone and says the time has come to tell us something very personal. Punk says he keeps his ear to the ground and hears what everyone says. He says the word pipebomb has been misused. Punk says a pipebomb in its truest form is the truth, honesty. Punk says the fans lack honesty. Punk says he meant everything he said that night except the part about ice cream bars because the fans don't need anymore ice cream. Punk says he could have left but he made a conscious decision and sold out to, to the fans. Punk says to him, he cashed in. Punk says it doesn't matter if you're the best this or the best that in WWE, there is a glass ceiling and nobody is allowed to break it. Punk says that's the simple story of WWE - the more popular you are, the more money you make. Punk says that's why Cena gets title shots. Punk says that's why a serious grappler like Daniel Bryan puts a smile on his face and uses catchphrases. That's why a 400lb. monster named Brodus Clay gets in the ring to shuck and jive. That's why an invisible kid Little Jimmy is more of a fit on RAW than Tyson Kidd. Punk says the fans are falling for what he says right now. Punk says nobody has been able to achieve success without the fans until now, until when he showed up. Punk calls himself the most successful WWE Champion of all-time, not just the modern era. He says that's just a buzzword someone in the back wants to use, probably on a t-shirt. Punk says you don't get noticed until you move a few t-shirts around here. Punk says if he was in Bruno Sammartino's days, he would have been champ for 20 years also. Punk says you never saw Hulk Hogan wrestle TLC matches against guys like Ryback. Punk says their 30 years equal one of his. Punk says he is not successful because of the fans, he is successful in spite of the fans.

Punk rips the local fans and says he is a bad, bad man. Punk brings up Ric Flair, Edge and Shawn Michaels saying they did it for the fans and miss the fans. Punk says they are dishonest. Punk says he is the best in the world and the fans start chanting for The Rock. Punk says there are two types of people on earth - those born to be in the spotlight and those born to pay to see the people in the spotlight. Punk says he has never done this for any of us. Punk goes on and a crew member gets on the apron, telling Punk it's time for a commercial. Punk says we go to commercial when the champ wants to. Punk says The Rock is going to come out here and talk a whole lot but Punk has the most important thing to say right now - he tells everyone they don't matter and we cut to commercial.

We come back and Punk is still in the ring. He promises us that in one year he will still be WWE Champion. Punk goes on and says he doesn't care if The Rock is back. Punk starts calling the fans losers again and here comes The Rock to a big pop from the Tampa crowd.

The Rock hits the ring and poses in the turnbuckles as Punk looks on. The Rock says he waited until Punk had to say everything he had to say so he would know what kind of man he's facing at the Rumble. Rock says Punk is straight up delusional. Rock says Punk's reign is incredible but the real number isn't 414 days. The number that haunts Punk is 20 - 20 excuses running around Punk's mind, 20 hairs standing up on Punk's straight edge scrotum because in 20 days, Punk has to defend against The Rock. Rock says in 20 days, time is up. The crowd chants for Rock. Rock says Punk wanted a change and a revolution. Rock says Punk didn't reject the people, the people rejected Punk. Rock says Punk couldn't bring change or revolution. Rock says Punk couldn't even provide ice cream and couldn't if he had an ice cream truck drove straight up his ass.

Rock says the fans have voices and they love to use them. They're not voiceless. They use them every night and are going to use them to chant something tonight that will follow Punk for the rest of his life. Rock says the fans are going to chant Cookie Puss and they do. Punk tells the fans to bring it on. He tells them to be the puppets they are. Punk says the fans and Rock still don't get to win. Rock says the fans have already won. They won the moment The Rock woke up at 4am and sent out his early morning tweets, made his famous pancakes, went to the gym and drove through Alligator Alley so he could stand in the middle of the ring and proudly say The Rock has come back to Tampa.

Rock says after 10 long years, he's here to get the WWE Title. Rock says he has watched Punk's lying and backpedaling. Rock says for someone who claims to be straight edge, he runs around here looking like Popeye on crack. The crowd chants cookiepuss again. Rock says Punk became WWE Champion but also became the biggest jerk the world has ever seen. Rock says when he's here, Punk better never say the people don't matter. Rock says the people matter and have always mattered. Rock says Punk doesn't matter. Punk tries to talk but Rock says it doesn't matter if he doesn't matter. Rock says there is no way, and he means no way, that Punk can stop him from becoming WWE Champion at the Rumble. They circle each other and lock eyes now.

Punk says he's glad Rock is back. He doesn't care what his schedule is or how often he works. Punk says he can still kick Rock's ass. Punk says any time Rock decides to come back, he's going to kick his ass. Punk says he is like nobody Rock has ever faced before. Punk gets in Rock's face and says he will kick his ass at the Rumble because he's the best in the world, the best guy Rock has ever stepped in the ring with. Punk says Rock bit off more than he can chew. Punk says he's in the big leagues and swinging for the fence. Punk says Rock's jabs and insults are kiddie games. Punk says Rock's arms are too short to box with God at the Rumble. They staredown for a minute. Rock says Punk is going one on one with The Great One. Rock says he knows how bad and tough Punk is. Rock says last time they were in the ring, Rock caught a GTS and went out cold. Rock says he was hurt and embarrassed. In 20 days, time is up. Until then, Rock wants Punk to go home and look in the mirror, strip naked, not concentrate on his cookiepuss and focus on his backside. Rock tells Punk to find a spot on his body that's not covered with ugly tattoos. Rock wants Punk to get different candy bars tattooed on his right cheek and The Rock's boot on his left cheek as a reminder. Rock stops and drops Punk with a Rock Bottom. The crowd pops and cheers for The Rock as Punk escapes to the floor. The Rock's music hits as he yells at Punk about 20 days and the WWE Title. Punk stands up and smiles. RAW goes off the air with The Rock making a motion for the title around his waist.

Interesting name returning at next week's RAW
Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 01/07/2013 at 04:23 PM

Former WWE Women's Champion Madusa (then known as Alundra Blaze) posted the following on Twitter (@Madusa_rocks) today:

"Houston this saturday for monster jam and WWE Monday nite raw!"

Her return should be interesting since she didn't exactly leave WWE on the best terms. Her WWE departure was infamous because she abruptly showed up on WCW Nitro one night and dumped the WWE Women's Title in the trash.

"Then. Now. Forever." The WWE video leads us into the show.

They show some footage of The Shield attacking Randy Orton last month on Raw. Tonight, Randy Orton returns to exact some revenge. We also see footage of Big Show knocking out Ricardo Rodriguez on last week's Smackdown. They then show the footage of Alberto Del Rio exacting his revenge on Big Show for his friend.

Josh Mathews and John "Bradshaw" Layfield bid a happy new year to the viewers as Randy Orton's music hits. Orton makes his way to the ring to a great reception. Orton says since tonight is the first Smackdown of 2013 and declaring New Year's resolutions is the "in" thing to do, he's going to make his short and sweet: he wants to be the World Heavyweight Champion. Not too long ago, Smackdown was his show, but lately that doesn't seem to be the case. He has a way to fix that because tonight he's announcing that he's entering the 2013 Royal Rumble.

Sheamus' music hits, and he makes his way to the ring to a great reception. Sheamus apologizes for interrupting him. He's not here to steal Orton's thunder. He was planning on doing the same thing Orton was. 2013 is a new year, and he wants to be the World Heavyweight Champion as well. He wants to declare to the world that he too will be in the 2013 Royal Rumble match. He also wanted to personally thank him for helping him with The Shield on Raw. Orton says he wasn't there to save Sheamus. A month ago, they attacked him and tried to put him out. He did that for himself, not Sheamus. He's not sure if Sheamus is aware or not, but its every man for himself in the Rumble, and it'll be about him, not Sheamus. Sheamus knows what its about as he won it last year. Orton says he remembers, and that's why it'll be extra special when he eliminates the former Rumble winner. Sheamus says that is cute. He is sketchy since it's been a year, but if he Brogue Kicked his small head over the top rope and his body stays in the ring, does that count as an elimination?

Big Show's music hits, and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion comes out to the stage. Big Show says he's been listening them go back and forth about winning the Rumble. Big Show says the only shot they'll get by winning the Rumble is a shot at his fist. Sheamus' 2013 will end up like his 2012, and that's with him knocking him out. As for Randy Orton, take a shot, and he'll be happy to step on the snake. Whether they like to admit it or not, he is the World's Largest Athlete, and he is the most dominate World Heavyweight Champion the WWE has ever seen. He's a giant!

Antonio Cesaro's music hits, and the WWE United States Champion comes out to the stage. Cesaro says this is typical American stuff with them talking about who will beat up who. Sheamus reminds him that he's Irish. Cesaro says that's even worse. Where he comes from (Switzerland), they don't just talk – they take action. That's why for months he's been talking about soft, lazy, fat – no, grotesquely obese Americans. These are things they should just realize by looking in the mirror, but they don't. The truth is the truth. Big Show has a quizzical look on his face. Orton says, "How about this fat, soft, lazy American comes up there and RKO's the both of you right now?"

Booker T's music hits, and he steps between Cesaro and Big Show. He says before things get out of hand, it's obvious that the four of them don't like each other. Tonight, they'll have to find a way to get along. The deal is this: The World Heavyweight Champion Big Show will team with United States Champion Antonio Cesaro to take on Sheamus and Randy Orton. Tonight, they're going to kick this year off with a bang, now CAN YOU DIG THAT, SUCKA? Cesaro and Big Show talk with one another as Orton looks over at Sheamus.

Tonight, we'll see a rematch from Monday Night Raw. The new WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett will defend against Kofi Kingston.

Slater quickly pulls him shoulder first into the corner and follows up by choking him with the knee. Slater goes outside and stretches his arm out against the ring post. Slater gets in the ring and applies the overhead wristlock again. Miz fights up and counters with a back suplex.

The referee counts them down, but they both get up. They trade punches with Miz coming out on top. Miz sends him to the ropes, but Slater kicks him in the face. Miz comes back with a back elbow and a clothesline. Miz hits a back body drop, points to the crowd, and goes for the Reality Check, but Slater counters out. Slater hits a neckbreaker for a near fall. Miz sidesteps him charging, and he follows up with his patented corner clothesline. Miz gets on the top rope, gets the crowd to scream "Awesome," and he hits Slater with a double axe handle. Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale for the win.

Take a look at the real Kofi Kingston, who attacked him from behind on Main Event after he defeated three other Superstars. Matt Striker is backstage with Kofi Kingston. Striker mentions that he lost the Intercontinental Title on Raw, but he defeated Barrett in a Gauntlet Match on WWE Main Event. Striker asks if he feels that momentum can carry him to a victory tonight. Kingston says this has nothing to do with momentum. He knew he was going to challenge him before he beat him. It was the second that he stood in the middle of the ring with his title raised in the air. He got the best of him, and it cost him the title. This may be his last shot. His back is against the wall, but that's no different from how it's been his whole life. He always comes up fighting, and tonight will be no different as he fights for the title one more time. Q. How did you break into the wrestling business and when did you realize that wrestling was the thing you wanted to do?

Both: "We realised we wanted to wrestle at 14 years old after falling in love with at 12! We researched schools and at 16 went to Futureshock wrestling in Manchester!"

    Q. Both of you, along with Rockstar Spud and Marty Scrull, have been participating in a TNA Project called TNA British Boot Camp, what has that experience been like?

Both: "It has been beyond incredible; honestly, it’s been an amazing experience for us. We have had so many pinch yourself moments and are just making sure to take everything in and have fun!"

    Q. What are your thoughts on the Knockouts Division, who would you each like to face?

Both: "We think TNA have one of the best women’s divisions a company can offer. We would love to step in the ring with each one of those girls and feel we could learn so much from them! Mickie James would be an honour to wrestle again and Gail Kim and Madison Rayne are dream opponents for us, having established themselves as a tag team!"

    Q. You both have said you would love to become TNA Knockout Tag Team Champions, considering the Knockouts Tag Division is lacking, are you looking to rejuvenate it?

Both: "That is something we would absolutely love to do. There are not a lot of women’s tag teams out there so to build up a division and create something exciting to watch would be a dream for us and we feel TNA is the place to do it!"

    Q. We've noticed that TNA Knockout Champion Tara sees a lot of potential in both of you, what's it like to have that kind of support from such a veteran in the wrestling industry?

Both: "We grew up watching her on TV so to hear her talk about us is quite surreal and of course we appreciate her support so much! It makes us want to work harder and gives us the determination to be the best we can be to be able to one day step in the ring with her!"

    Q. What was it like coming to the Impact Zone in Orlando, FL and preforming with the likes of Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, and Dixie Carter watching?

Both: "It was as nerve wrecking as it sounds, Hulk Hogan, Dixie Carter, Eric Bischoff were watching…us!! We were 9 or 10 when we first got a glimpse of Hulk Hogan so to be given the chance to wrestle in front of him and get his feedback was unbelievable and such an honour. However, when it came to going out there and performing, you have to put it to the back of your mind and let the nerves go and just do the best you can do and give it 110% and that’s what we feel like we did! It was so much fun!"

    Q. What do you say has been your greatest accomplishment both individually and as a tag team?

Both: "Both as a team and individually we would say being chosen to take part in TNA’s British Boot Camp. To have Hulk Hogan and Dixie Carter choose us was a huge compliment to how hard we have been working and that we must have been doing something right! It really is a dream come true for us right now! One that we couldn’t be more grateful for! Also, winning the OVW Women’s title was an amazing achievement, knowing who has held that belt before us made it very special and was definitely a wow moment for us as to how far we have come!"

    Q. In and out of the ring, who do you say had the greatest impact on your lives?

Both: "In wrestling Jeff Hardy has been one of our biggest influences, he was the reason we loved wrestling and got into it as much as we did and to this day we continue and aspire to stay true to what we believe in and who we are the same way he has done!"

"Outside of the ring our Mum and Dad continue to amaze us with their support and love! Our family and friends are everything to us and they each have different impacts on our lives and keep us smiling, happy, focused and blessed every day!"

    Q. What is the best advice you could give to any aspiring professional wrestlers?

Both: "Make sure you do your research and go to a good school! Be prepared to work hard and listen. Talk to everyone, ask questions and learn from everyone and everything that goes on! Be yourself and stay true to who you are and have fun!"

    Q. Anything you want to tell all your fans and supporters?

Both: "We truly mean it when we say thank you to everyone who supports us. For all the kind messages and tweets to coming and taking the time to say hi to us at shows, it means the world to us! You really do make us smile and we hope we can inspire you to live your dreams, as we believe in each and every one of you in the same way you have shown you believe in us! Thank you!!!"

    Lesnar's Return

    Lesnar's Return

    - Brock Lesnar is expected to return to WWE TV for multiple appearances in March, likely beginning in late February. Unless plans have changed, he will be building towards the WrestleMania 29 match with Triple h.

    - Speaking of Lesnar, his contract expires with WrestleMania and it's unknown yet if he has re-signed for another year. WWE will be facing the same issues they do every year once WrestleMania is over with four of the expected top six headliners not appearing much if any at all after April - The Rock, The Undertaker, Triple H and Lesnar.

    CM Punk Cleared To Compete

The official WWE website announced Wednesday that WWE Champion CM Punk has been medically cleared to defend his title against Ryback in a TLC Match on this Monday's Raw, according to sources.

The match had originally been scheduled for the WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs pay-per-view, but immediate knee surgery on December 4 postponed that contest until he had fully recuperated.

WWE's sources indicate that final decision on Punk's status will be presented on tonight's episode of WWE Main Event on ION Television.
