Rock says Punk's reign is incredible but the real number isn't 414 days. The number that haunts Punk is 20 - 20 excuses running around Punk's mind, 20 hairs standing up on Punk's straight edge scrotum because in 20 days, Punk has to defend against The Rock. Interesting name returning at next week's RAW Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 01/07/2013 at 04:23 PM
Former WWE Women's Champion Madusa (then known as Alundra Blaze) posted the following on Twitter (@Madusa_rocks) today:
"Houston this saturday for monster jam and WWE Monday nite raw!"
Her return should be interesting since she didn't exactly leave WWE on the best terms. Her WWE departure was infamous because she abruptly showed up on WCW Nitro one night and dumped the WWE Women's Title in the trash.
According to WWE, here are the confirmed dates
for The Rock in January and February:
* January 7th RAW from Tampa
* January 8th SmackDown tapings from Miami * January 14th RAW from Houston
* January 21st RAW from San Jose
* January 22nd SmackDown tapings from Sacramento * January 27th Royal
Rumble pay-per-view from Phoenix * January 28th RAW from Las Vegas *
February 11th RAW from Nashville * February 12th SmackDown from Little Rock
* February 17th Elimination Chamber pay-per-view * February 18th RAW
from Lafayette, LA
WWE Friday Night Smackdown January 4, 2013 Richmond, Virginia "Then. Now. Forever." The WWE video leads us into the show.
They show some footage of The Shield attacking Randy Orton last month on Raw. Tonight, Randy Orton returns to exact some revenge. We also see footage of Big Show knocking out Ricardo Rodriguez on last week's Smackdown. They then show the footage of Alberto Del Rio exacting his revenge on Big Show for his friend.
Josh Mathews and John "Bradshaw" Layfield bid a happy new year to the viewers as Randy Orton's music hits. Orton makes his way to the ring to a great reception. Orton says since tonight is the first Smackdown of 2013 and declaring New Year's resolutions is the "in" thing to do, he's going to make his short and sweet: he wants to be the World Heavyweight Champion. Not too long ago, Smackdown was his show, but lately that doesn't seem to be the case. He has a way to fix that because tonight he's announcing that he's entering the 2013 Royal Rumble.
Sheamus' music hits, and he makes his way to the ring to a great reception. Sheamus apologizes for interrupting him. He's not here to steal Orton's thunder. He was planning on doing the same thing Orton was. 2013 is a new year, and he wants to be the World Heavyweight Champion as well. He wants to declare to the world that he too will be in the 2013 Royal Rumble match. He also wanted to personally thank him for helping him with The Shield on Raw. Orton says he wasn't there to save Sheamus. A month ago, they attacked him and tried to put him out. He did that for himself, not Sheamus. He's not sure if Sheamus is aware or not, but its every man for himself in the Rumble, and it'll be about him, not Sheamus. Sheamus knows what its about as he won it last year. Orton says he remembers, and that's why it'll be extra special when he eliminates the former Rumble winner. Sheamus says that is cute. He is sketchy since it's been a year, but if he Brogue Kicked his small head over the top rope and his body stays in the ring, does that count as an elimination?
Big Show's music hits, and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion comes out to the stage. Big Show says he's been listening them go back and forth about winning the Rumble. Big Show says the only shot they'll get by winning the Rumble is a shot at his fist. Sheamus' 2013 will end up like his 2012, and that's with him knocking him out. As for Randy Orton, take a shot, and he'll be happy to step on the snake. Whether they like to admit it or not, he is the World's Largest Athlete, and he is the most dominate World Heavyweight Champion the WWE has ever seen. He's a giant!
Antonio Cesaro's music hits, and the WWE United States Champion comes out to the stage. Cesaro says this is typical American stuff with them talking about who will beat up who. Sheamus reminds him that he's Irish. Cesaro says that's even worse. Where he comes from (Switzerland), they don't just talk they take action. That's why for months he's been talking about soft, lazy, fat no, grotesquely obese Americans. These are things they should just realize by looking in the mirror, but they don't. The truth is the truth. Big Show has a quizzical look on his face. Orton says, "How about this fat, soft, lazy American comes up there and RKO's the both of you right now?"
Booker T's music hits, and he steps between Cesaro and Big Show. He says before things get out of hand, it's obvious that the four of them don't like each other. Tonight, they'll have to find a way to get along. The deal is this: The World Heavyweight Champion Big Show will team with United States Champion Antonio Cesaro to take on Sheamus and Randy Orton. Tonight, they're going to kick this year off with a bang, now CAN YOU DIG THAT, SUCKA? Cesaro and Big Show talk with one another as Orton looks over at Sheamus.
Tonight, we'll see a rematch from Monday Night Raw. The new WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett will defend against Kofi Kingston.

Interview : The Blossom Twins Talk Knockouts, Influences, TNA British Boot Camp,
and More
TNA
Wrestling's TNA British Boot Camp reality show contestants,
The Blossom Twins, were kind enough to agree to take part in a interview for us
here at TNAInsider. These stunning identical twins from Manchester, real names
Kelly and Lucy Knott, got their start in wrestling all the way back in 2005 and
all their hard work has definitely payed off. The pair are best known for
competiting in the United States at Ohio Valley Wrestling, which is now the
developmental territory for TNA Wrestling. For UK viewers the show TNA British Boot Camp airs Fridays at 10 P.M on Challenge
TV.
Q.How did you break into the wrestling business and when did you realize
that wrestling was the thing you wanted to
do?
Both:
"We realised we wanted to wrestle at 14 years old after
falling in love with at 12! We researched schools and at 16 went to Futureshock
wrestling in Manchester!"
Q.Both of
you, along with Rockstar Spud and Marty Scrull, have been participating in a TNA
Project called TNA British Boot Camp, what has that experience been
like?
Both: "It has been beyond incredible; honestly,
its been an amazing experience for us. We have had so many pinch yourself
moments and are just making sure to take everything in and have fun!"
Q.What are your thoughts on the Knockouts Division, who would you each
like to face?
Both:"We think TNA have one of the best
womens divisions a company can offer. We would love to step in the ring with
each one of those girls and feel we could learn so much from them! Mickie James
would be an honour to wrestle again and Gail Kim and Madison Rayne are dream
opponents for us, having established themselves as a tag team!"
Q.
You both have said you would love to become TNA Knockout Tag
Team Champions, considering the Knockouts Tag Division is lacking, are you
looking to rejuvenate it?
Both:"That is something we would absolutely
love to do. There are not a lot of womens tag teams out there so to build up a
division and create something exciting to watch would be a dream for us and we
feel TNA is the place to do it!"
Q.We've noticed that TNA Knockout Champion Tara sees a lot of
potential in both of you, what's it like to have that kind of support from such
a veteran in the wrestling industry?
Both:"We grew up watching her on TV so to hear
her talk about us is quite surreal and of course we appreciate her support so
much! It makes us want to work harder and gives us the determination to be the
best we can be to be able to one day step in the ring with her!"
Q. What was
it like coming to the Impact Zone in Orlando, FL and preforming with the likes
of Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, and Dixie Carter
watching?
Both: "It was as nerve wrecking as it sounds,
Hulk Hogan, Dixie Carter, Eric Bischoff were watching us!! We were 9 or 10 when
we first got a glimpse of Hulk Hogan so to be given the chance to wrestle in
front of him and get his feedback was unbelievable and such an honour. However,
when it came to going out there and performing, you have to put it to the back
of your mind and let the nerves go and just do the best you can do and give it
110% and thats what we feel like we did! It was so much fun!"
Q. What do
you say has been your greatest accomplishment both individually and as a tag
team?
Both:"Both as a team and individually we would
say being chosen to take part in TNAs British Boot Camp. To have Hulk Hogan and
Dixie Carter choose us was a huge compliment to how hard we have been working
and that we must have been doing something right! It really is a dream come true
for us right now! One that we couldnt be more grateful for! Also, winning the
OVW Womens title was an amazing achievement, knowing who has held that belt
before us made it very special and was definitely a wow moment for us as to how
far we have come!"
Q.In and out of the ring, who do you say had the greatest impact
on your lives?
Both:"In wrestling Jeff Hardy has been one of
our biggest influences, he was the reason we loved wrestling and got into it as
much as we did and to this day we continue and aspire to stay true to what we
believe in and who we are the same way he has done!"
"Outside of the ring our Mum
and Dad continue to amaze us with their support and love! Our family and friends
are everything to us and they each have different impacts on our lives and keep
us smiling, happy, focused and blessed every
day!"
Q.What is the best advice you could give to any aspiring
professional wrestlers?
Both:"Make sure you do your research and go to
a good school! Be prepared to work hard and listen. Talk to everyone, ask
questions and learn from everyone and everything that goes on! Be yourself and
stay true to who you are and have fun!"
Q.
Anything you want to tell all your fans and
supporters?
Both: "We truly mean it when we say thank you
to everyone who supports us. For all the kind messages and tweets to coming and
taking the time to say hi to us at shows, it means the world to us! You really
do make us smile and we hope we can inspire you to live your dreams, as we
believe in each and every one of you in the same way you have shown you believe
in us! Thank you!!!"

- Brock Lesnar is expected to return to WWE TV for multiple appearances in March, likely beginning in late February. Unless plans have changed, he will be building towards the WrestleMania 29 match with Triple h.
- Speaking of Lesnar, his contract expires with WrestleMania and it's unknown yet if he has re-signed for another year. WWE will be facing the same issues they do every year once WrestleMania is over with four of the expected top six headliners not appearing much if any at all after April - The Rock, The Undertaker, Triple H and Lesnar.
The official WWE website announced Wednesday that WWE Champion CM Punk has been medically cleared to defend his title against Ryback in a TLC Match on this Monday's Raw, according to sources.
The match had originally been scheduled for the WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs pay-per-view, but immediate knee surgery on December 4 postponed that contest until he had fully recuperated.
WWE's sources indicate that final decision on Punk's status will be presented on tonight's episode of WWE Main Event on ION Television.
- The holidays are over so its time for a LIVE edition of Impact. Inside the ring is Jeremy Borash. In his hand, an envelope with the winner of TNAs 2012 wrestler of the year. First, he introduces the five finalists: Bully Ray, James Storm, Austin Aries, Bobby Roode and Jeff Hardy. Borash starts to announce the winner when both Roode and Aries start walking down the ramp. Hardy is named the 2012 Wrestler of the Year and he shakes hands with James Storm and Bully Ray. He passes by Roode and Aries and enters the ring.
Hardy says hes the World Champion but this means the same amount. Roode cuts him off. He bashes Hardy for saying the votes of the people mean as much as the World Title. Nothing was more important to Roode than the title when he was champ. He didnt care about the morons. Roode goes on until Austin Aries speaks. He says the voting was rigged. He was the longest reigning X Division title and beat Roode, also averaged 4 stars per pay-per-view match. They start arguing when Hardy says hell take them both on and makes that match for the next PPV. He wants the heels to think of 2012 as the Year of the Enigma.
Roode and Aries stomp on Hardy. Roode holds Hardy down for an attack but Hardy gets out of the way and Aries strikes Roode. Hardy lays Aries out with the Twist of Fate and raises the Wrestler of the Year trophy in the air.

He wants the Stinger to join the party. Its 1.3.13 and Sting has been telling everyone Doc is a marked man. Chaos says he doesnt feel that way but still wants Sting out. Stiiiiiiiiinger. Docs smile disappears as he looks at his hammer. He gets angry and calls this bullshit. Sting is wasting everyones time.
A baseball bat falls from the rafters and Doc snaps further. We get sent to a commercial with Doc saying come on Sting, over and over.
- Were back with an interviewer and Brooke Hogan. Hulk and Brooke havent spoken since last weeks show.

Rays says Hulk Hogan is right. They are brothers and he should have told Hogan about Brooke. The heat is on me. Hulk says hes been telling everyone Ray is no good and doesnt belong in this business. This isnt about Brooke, its about Hogan and Ray. If this were 20 years ago, and it was a title belt, they wouldve been to war, brother. Hogan says since Ray broke the code and brings up lawyers and whatnot. He then suspends Ray for being in a consensual relationship with a woman above age. He then berates Brooke and tells her to get the hell out of [his] ring.

WWE NXT 01/02/13 Review.
So what did this reviewer think when he watched WWE NXT for January 2nd 2013? This was a good show, with a pair of good headline matches, and a hot storyline at the end of the show. Lets not waste any time, rather lets delve into WWE NXT for January 2nd 2013.
The SHIELD is finally formed on NXT, bringing them up to the rest of the world. They start this weeks show by beating up people in the ring, and it is glorious. Dusty Rhodes is out, and tonight Seth Rollins puts the NXT Championship on the line against Corey Graves. If he doesnt wrestle, hell be stripped of the title.
Bo Dallas scored the win over Epico in this weeks opening match. This was more interesting for the aftermath. Epico and Primo lay a beating on Bo Dallas, and Michael McGillicutty of all people make the save. So we have a unique tag team feud on NXT. McGillicutty showed immense improvements last year, so I see nothing wrong with this development.
Tamina Snuka and Sasha Banks had one of the better diva matches in some time. Both women worked rather hard. Tamina in the end is being groomed for bigger and better things, so she hits the Superfly Splash for the pin.
We have an impressive tag team match next. Four of the top young superstars in WWE did battle, with Kassius Ohno and Leo Kruger taking on Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd as a part of this next tag team match. This had some impressive action, and all four men worked hard. Kruger and Ohno pick up the win and move up the rankings.
Rollins and Graves was your main event, and a pretty good one this week. Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose ran in to save their friends championship. The NXT roster gets dismantled, until Big E. Langston makes the save. Langston chases off the SHIELD. Next week, weve got Big E. Langston against Seth Rollins for the championship.
An X-Division Contenders Tournament will
start tonight on Impact Wrestling, the first episode of 2013. There will be four
contenders and the finals at Genesis on 1/13/13. The winner of X-Division
Contender Tournament at Genesis faces Rob Van Dam that same night for the
X-Division Title.
TNA Wrestler Magnus was recently
interviewed by Zoo Magazine on a number of topics. Below is a quick
recap
Hi Magnus, youll be back in the UK for the TNA
European tour in January. Whats it like to perform to a home
crowd? Its the highlight of my year. Last year at
Wembley was a great moment in my career. My family were all there that night and
it was the first TNA show my parents had been to. It was a very cool
feeling.
TNA has launched TNA British Boot Camp.
What does this say for British wrestling? It shows the
level of talent over here and the responsiveness of the fans, as well as the
growing strength of the wrestling market in general. The success of Brits like
me, Doug Williams and Rob Terry shows that we can be more than just airtime
filler for TNA.
Youve been doing some UK Indy
shows. Whats it like coming back for those? Its
great that TNA let me do other work - I am very fortunate in that way. There are
only a handful of credible promotions I work for, such as the Pro Wrestling
Elite show in Scotland I did back in September. I get to catch up with a lot of
old friends.
You are also the new host of UK
Strongman on Challenge TV. How is that? I had a great
time presenting UK Strongman. To do things that dont require me getting beat up
and dont solely rely on my physical talents as a wrestler is always
nice.
Have you tried to convert the TNA guys to
soccer? Bully Ray is already a big footy fan, but
mainly watches a lot of Serie A, and Kurt Angle will pretty much watch any type
of sport. I dont get to follow it as much as I like because were on the road
so much. I record games and watch three or four back-to-back.
