Steven "Steve" Paul Lewington (born February 25, 1983 in Wokingham, Berkshire, England), is an English professional wrestler. He is currently contracted to World Wrestling Entertainment working on the ECW brand under the name DJ Gabriel.
Career
All Star Promotions and Ohio Valley Wrestling (20032005)
After graduating from Senior School Sixth Form, Lewington attended Farnborough College of Technology where he earned a Higher National Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering.
However after gaining an interest in professional wrestling, Lewington applied and was accepted to attend an Ohio Valley Wrestling Tryout in America between February 23 and 28, 2003. Lewington's official training began 8 months later in the beginners' class at the Old Davis arena.
Lewington would return to England in late 2004 where he would work with All Star Wrestling. Throughout early 2005, Lewington would train and appear with ASW as well as becoming the subject of an episode of UKTV People's Secret Life of the Gym.
World Wrestling Entertainment (2005present)
While WWE was touring England in 2005, Lewington would make three appearances on its main programming, once as a jobber on Carlito's Cabana, once as a jobber to Kurt Angle after Angle disrespected England (the show was in UK) and once as part of the WWE security squad that helped keep the warring Raw and SmackDown! wrestlers apart. Other British wrestlers including Robbie Brookside and Thunder were a part of the security team.
After his appearances in WWE programming in 2005, Lewington stayed in the United Kingdom to compete for the ASW promotion, under the ring name Steve Sonic. On January 17, 2006 in Croydon, Steve Sonic faced Drew McDonald in a ladder match for the ASW British Heavyweight Championship, a match he would win. Sonic would remain champion for several months before relinquishing the title to return to WWE's developmental promotion in July 2006.
Developmental territories
During April 2007, WWE would once again tour England allowing Lewington to make another appearance on Raw, this time as a jobber for Umaga. His performance in this match would earn Lewington a developmental deal. After receiving his contract, Lewington was sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) and formed a tag team called Terminal Velocity with Chet the Jett. After Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) opened, however, Terminal Velocity was moved down to the new territory. After a brief run in FCW, Terminal Velocity was called back up to OVW and won the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship for the first time, giving Lewington the very first tag team championship of his career. On September 26, 2007, Lewington and Chet lost their belts to The James Boys (KC James and Kassidy James). After their title loss, both Lewington's and his partner Chet the Jett's profiles were removed from the official OVW website and they were both moved back down to FCW. After their return to FCW, however, Terminal Velocity was split up when Chet renamed himself Mariouz Jablonski and started a gimmick based on his Polish ancestry.
Lewington later began teaming with Heath Miller and both advanced to the finals of a tournament to crown the inaugural FCW Florida Tag Team Champions, but they were defeated by The Puerto Rican Nightmares (Eddie Colón and Eric Perez). Lewington and Miller defeated Brandon Groom and Greg Jackson and The Thoroughbreds (Johnny Curtis and Kevin Kiley)] on the road to the finals. On March 4, 2008 he changed his name to Jack Gabriel.
ECW brand
On the November 18, 2008 edition of ECW on SciFi, Lewington made his debut as a face under the ring name DJ Gabriel, with a dancing gimmick, and was managed by Alicia Fox. He defeated local wrestler Sal Rinauro in his debut match for the brand. During the next weeks, he defeated jobbers. On the last ECW episode of the 2008, DJ Gabriel defeated Paul Burchill. On the Tuesday, January 13th, edition of ECW, DJ Gabriel and Alicia Fox defeated Paul Burchill and Katie Lea Burchill, in a Mixed Tag Team Match.

The WWE website has an update on WWE Champion Jeff Hardy's involvement in a pyrotechnics accident on last night's edition of Friday Night SmackDown. According to the website, Hardy went into shock after suffering what appeared to be first and second degree burns from the explosion. He was then rushed to a local medical facility where he was treated for his injuries. The website will update his situation as more details become available.
Several pushed for Manu to be kicked out of The Legacy, most notably, Randy Orton. The feeling is that he isn't in the same league or had the same amount of potential as others in the group, and didn't really fit in as a result. Many believe the group would be better off with Orton, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase and possibly DH Smith.
Considering that he's no longer apart of Legacy, many feel Manu may not be long for WWE.
SmackDown wrestler Hurricane Helms did a Q & A on his MySpace account answering a set of questions from the fans. He listed the non-WWE wrestlers he'd like to work with one day. Helms wrote: "Ron Zombie, Human Tornado (think what a team wed make) Chris Sabin, Samoa Joe and Roxxi. Im pretty sure that I could destroy them all, with the possible exception of Roxxi." When asked about about the CM Punk vs. William Regal feud, Helms said he's not impressed. "So far Im not impressed, but mainly because I know what these two are capable of," Helms wrote. Regarding how he met TNA Knockout Velvet Sky, he said: "I bought her off the internet! LOL She hates it when I say that! LOL" Helms was asked if he could ever see himself wrestling for a promotion besides WWE. Helms wrote: "Im sure that when/if my WWE career ends and Im still able to perform that I would seek employment elsewhere just as anyone would if they left their current job. I might even start my own promotion. Id call it FEW, Future Endeavors Wrestling! Im sure to get heat for that remark!"
Regarding Christian Cage, who will be debuting on WWE soon, Carter said she was not happy with Christian's decision to return to WWE.
"Im very disappointed," she said. "I like him as a person as well as a talent. Its interesting, he was the first big name to jump ship to us and hes been the first to jump back. I wish him all the best."
WWE.com made the following announcement this evening:
Hardcore Holly released Written: January 16, 2009
World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of Raw Superstar Bob "Hardcore" Holly as of today, January 16. WWE wishes Bob the best in all future endeavors.

OMAHA, Neb. - Tragedy struck SmackDown suddenly and without warning as WWE Champion Jeff Hardy was injured on his way to the ring, while MVP finally found triumph and WWE said goodbye to one of its own.
WWE Champion Jeff Hardy sustains injury on "The Cutting Edge" (WATCH | PHOTOS) As Jeff Hardy was approaching the ring to be the guest of his Royal Rumble opponent, the Rated-R Superstar, on The Cutting Edge, something with his pyrotechnics display went horribly wrong, surrounding him in a sea of sparks and flames; causing him to collapse to the ground in excruciating pain. As the smoke cleared, the reality set in to the WWE Universe that the black cloud that surrounded Jeff Hardy toward the end of 2008 is continuing to follow him in 2009. The show came to a frantic close as the bedlam ensued.
Vickie Guerreros nude photos returned; announced huge match to determine Triple Hs fate (PHOTOS) SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero gloated about putting Triple H through Triple Jeopardy one week ago for disrespecting her. The Game then came to the ring to return the nude photos of her that he recovered. When Guerrero responded by creating a Last Man Standing Match against Big Show - with The King of Kings Royal Rumble spot on the line - the 12-time World Champion proceeded to show the nude photos on the TitanTron for all to see. Guerrero then announced that MVP would be the Superstar facing Big Show in the match to determine if The Game would keep his spot, banning Triple H from ringside for good measure.
Montel Vontavious Porter def. Big Show (Last Man Standing Match) (WATCH | PHOTOS) In a Last Man Standing Match almost as brutal as MVPs losing streak, the Ballin Superstar finally proved victorious, after Big Show could not answer the 10-count. When the two Superstars carried the exhausting match away from the ring and up the entrance ramp, Triple H - seeing the opportunity to liberate himself from his ringside ban - charged in and knocked out The Worlds Largest Athlete with the sledgehammer. Will The Game continue to repel Guerreros attacks when he faces the undefeated Vladimir Kozlov on next weeks SmackDown?
WATCH Vladimir Kozlov's training.
Michelle McCool def. Victoria (WATCH | PHOTOS) After Michelle McCool attacked Victoria at the conclusion of their tag team match against the Bella Twins one week ago, the two Divas squared off in what would be the former Womens Champions final match before retiring from WWE. Although Victoria fought heroically, in the end her battle-weary leg could not support Michelle long enough to execute the Widows Peak, opening the door for the former Divas Champion to hit her devastating Faithbreaker for the victory. WATCH: Victoria's goodbye
Matt Hardy & Finlay def. ECW Champion Jack Swagger & Mark Henry (Tag Team Match) (PHOTOS) Once Finlay removed Mark Henry from the equation with a hard crack of the shillelagh, Matt Hardy hit Jack Swagger with a Twist of Fate. As a result, he gained a tag team win on the Superstar that took the ECW Championship away from him on ECW on Sci Fi. Will the same result take place when the two face off in a rematch for the Extreme Championship at the Royal Rumble? (Match Preview)
R-Truth def. The Brian Kendrick (PHOTOS) In a match between two Royal Rumble participants, R-Truth earned a hard-fought victory over The Kendrick with his Corkscrew Scissors Kick. His victory was short-lived however, as Ezekiel Jackson attacked R-Truth from behind, leaving him on the canvas.

WWE Diva and Hall of Famer in car accidents Posted by Randy Gordon on 01/15/2009 at 04:55 PM
From Jim Ross' latest blog at JRsBarBQ.com:
WWE HOF'er Gerald Brisco and WWE Diva Mickie James were involved in separate car accidents on Monday late night leaving Raw and heading to Omaha. Black ice was the culprit and both individuals escaped serious injury on the treacherous roads during frigid weather. I am not a big night time traveler if the weather is bad especially after a full day and night at work. I would rather find the nearest, local hotel and begin my trip the next day in the day light.
The following update comes from Kevin Nash at TNAWrestling.com. He also sent in some somewhat graphic pictures of his injury which can also be seen at TNAWrestling.com.
Well the good news is: Im getting the hell out of here. Ive got the blueprints to the hospital, and Im planning to break out on Thursday.
Its been a long time since Ive gone into full-on Big Grouchy mode. It never fails. They couldnt get me out of here fast enough.
They had to put an actual Danger: Sarcasm sign on my door.
The only thing holding me up from leaving is the portable Wound-Vac, which I should receive tonight.
If youre wondering what I did today I watched about 75 episodes of CSI: Miami on A&E and some other syndicated garbage, ate food that I wouldnt feed my dog and wondered why we didnt have SpikeTV at the hospital.
If my math is correct, Im now at Day 3 of not having soap OR water hit my body. My room has the pleasant smell of Axe bodyspray and ass.
The funk and the sarcasm is an incredible keep-out barrier because I think the nursing staff draws straws to see who MUST go in.
Just to think, I could be sitting in Dublin, having a beer with Kurt.
I guess the thing Im most upset about is missing the European Tour. My family had already been conditioned for the fact that I was gonna be away from home for most of the month. And I was truly looking forward to wrestling for the fans in Europe. As always, theres always next time.
To those of you who have somehow gotten my phone number and called me, thank you for waking me up. Ive never understood the fascination of someone saying, Hello, and then someone hanging up.
At this point, Ive re-gained my life, will soon be leaving the great state of North Carolina and back on the beach with my family.
[Q1] Footage aired from the Genesis pay-per-view. The show is entitled, When Icons Collide. The opening video aired. Mike Tenay and Don West ran down the card as fireworks lit up the Impact Zone...
The Main Event Mafias music played and they came out to the ring (minus Kevin Nash). Scott Steiner directed the cameraman to point his camera at a fan with a Steiner t-shirt on. Its nice to see Steiner embracing a fan and not threatening him.
Kurt Angle took control of the microphone and called the Mafia the greatest array of champions assembled in the history of the business. Sting was shown in a way that had him doubting the entire premise of Angles words. Angle showed a short video package of the carnage left behind by the Mafia in past weeks.
Angle said he and Sting won their battles at the pay-per-view, but due to Mick Foley and Nashs injury, they did not win the war. Does anyone else notice there are two MEM shirts? Angle and Sting have a grey one on. Steiner is wearing a black one with five silhouettes of the five members. I wonder when they will get rid of the black shirt.
Angle described tonights main event as a double hit, because Styles and Foley were going to be in the same place at the same time. All of a sudden, LAXs music hit and Hernandez came out with Shane Sewell. Hernandez said he was cashing in his world title briefcase right now... [C]
Twills Two Cents: Did we really need to see Sewell standing there with the briefcase opened? We understand that Hernandez has a shot. I am disappointed that they did not build this up and unless the title changes hands, it will seem like a wasted opportunity. Angles promo was good, but predictable.
[Q2] 1. Hernandez defeated Sting (with the Main Event Mafia) by disqualification in a TNA Heavyweight Championship match in 4:08. Hernandez dominated the opening moments of the match as the Mafia looked on with concern on the floor. Sting countered a suplex into the Scorpion Death Drop, but his hesitation to make a cover only allowed him to score a two count. Sewell is refereeing the match.
Hernandez came back and set up Sting for the Border Toss. The Mafia hit the ring and attacked Hernandez. Sewell called for the bell. He then took the Legends Title from Booker T and backdropped him to the floor. Homicide hit the ring (where the hell was he before?) and the Mafia kicked the crap out of everybody.
AJ Styles hit the ring and had some success, but fell victim to the numbers. Team 3D hit the ring to a pretty big pop and evened the numbers. Brother Ray has a Mohawk now. LAX and Styles positioned a table in the middle of the ring. Ray powerbombed Angle through the table... [C]
Back from commercial, Team 3D and AJ Styles were still celebrating with the crowd. A Welcome back! chant was directed at Brother Ray. Brother Devon cut a promo on Kurt Angle and called Team 3D the tag team standard bearers. Devon said one thing they have not done is prove their worth as singles competitors. He challenged Kurt Angle to a match at Against All Odds.
[Q3] Ray took over the microphone duties and showed some serious fire and life. He said a real Mafia would have gotten the job done but he is still going. He looked at Devon and said they should go on as singles wrestlers. He said since Devon wants Angle, he wanted Sting. He said Sting did nothing while he was being beaten, and that was worse than anything. He said he would become the World Heavyweight Champion...
Backstage, The Beautiful People were excited about being involved in the Governors inauguration on January 20th. Ugh. Kip James told them they were on their own... [C]
Tenay and West introduced and showed footage of the Angle vs. Jarrett match from Genesis. By the way, and I know I have asked this before, but why are Tenay and West facing away from the ring? How stupid does that look? They set it to the back where the medical staff determined Angle could not wrestle tonight. Steiner said he would take his place, but Angle said no and threw everyone out of the room... [C]
[Q4] Footage aired of The Beautiful People paying their dues to become members of The Governors cabinet. This reminds me of those crappy WWF vignettes from the mid-90s...
TBP and the Governor came out to the ring. Daffn errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, Governor Palin praised Velvet Sky and Angelina Love for their work over the past few weeks. They signed an official document to become official members of Palins cabinet.
Taylor Wildes music hit and she came out with Roxxi. Taylor said everything about TBP was fake, including their boobs. I think Velvets are real, said West. Funny! Roxxi called them hoes and told them everything we all have been thinking, that that was not the real Sarah Palin. She said they were about to get mucked. Then, a mud like substance fell onto TBP from the ceiling. Palin was in on it and laughed at the top of the stage with Wilde and Roxxi. TBP cried. A close up of the muck showed there were chocolate chips in there. Muck could be worse I guess... [C]
Back from commercial, the geniuses at TNA realized they still had a show to do and had to clean up the ring. The crew looked pissed and confused because the ring mat was in bad shape. By the way, thank you to loyal reader Brian Buckley for letting me know the announce table is on a swivel. That definitely makes sense...
Backstage, Lauren interviewed the Kongtourage. Sojourner Bolt was pissed when Lauren called her SoJo. She cut a promo on the face Knockouts...
[Q5] A TNA Rough Cuts segment aired about Bolt. Again, the timing here was bad because this was a babyface piece about a heel wrestler. They talked about a date she had where the guy ordered her a number one from McDonalds when she wanted a number two. She kicked his ass and threw Diet Coke in his face because she wanted grape soda...
2. ODB, Taylor Wilde, and Roxxi defeated Rhaka Khan, Raisha Saeed, and Sojourner Bolt in 9:39. Wow, is this really only the second match of the night? The match went to commercial after Khan tagged out and hopefully, she wont tag in again... [C]
Back from commercial, Saeed was working over ODB. Bolt tagged in and the heels worked on ODB in their corner. Roxxi and Rhaka tagged in and Roxxi took out everyone as they came at her. All six women came into the ring. Rhaka ended up with Roxxi in the ring and Roxxi hit the Voodoo Drop for the win...
[Q6] Backstage, Booker T told Kurt Angle he needed to relax and the Mafia had things taken care of tonight. Angle reluctantly agreed. By the way, Bookers pony tail is adorable tonight... [C]
3. Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed defeated Matt Morgan and Abyss to become number one contenders for the TNA World Tag Team Championship in 9:20. Abyss kept doing things to piss off Morgan. Dont you understand? He is too nice and Morgan hates it! Creed did that stupid ass splits punch but Morgan caught him with an axe kick as the show went to commercial... [C]
[Q7] Back from commercial, Morgan was in the match and did not want to tag in Abyss. Lethal and Creed double teamed Abyss in the ring and hit a double suicide dive onto Morgan on the floor. Impressive. A missile dropkick on Abyss scored a two count. In a weird finish, Abyss powerbombed Lethal onto Morgan because he thought Creed was there. Lethal scored the three count...
After the match, Morgan pie faced Abyss and Abyss retaliated. The two had to be separated by security and referees. They continued to fight through the officials to beat on each other...
Backstage, Jim Cornette was in the locker room of the Main Event Mafia. He told Angle he needed to pick a replacement to face Styles. Steiner and Booker argued over who would face Styles. They even did Inney Minnie Miney Mo. Wow. Cornette put Steiner in the match and said interference would result in fines and suspensions... [C]
Mick Foley cut a promo backstage saying he would take out any member of the MEM willing to get involved in tonights main event...
4. AJ Styles defeated Scott Steiner with Mick Foley as the special guest enforcer in 15:02. Steiner came out with a pipe and Foley grabbed a chair. The bait and switch sucks, but I think we can all see what is coming here. West called Angle the leader of the MEM, further devaluing the TNA Heavyweight Title. Earl Hebner is the referee and Foley remained on the floor. I thought Foley was refereeing the match. My bad.
[Q8] Steiner used his power and mat prowess to ground Styles early in the bout. Styles applied a headlock takeover for a two count and held onto it. Steiner went to the floor and Styles shot himself over the top onto Steiner as the show went to commercial... [C]
Back from commercial, Styles hit a big knee on Steiner for a two count. Steiner locked in a bearhug and awkwardly applied a belly to belly overhead suplex in which Styles did not flip to his back, so he landed on his face. That was weird. Steiner brought a chair into the ring and wedged it in between the ropes. He tried to Irish whip him into the chair, but Styles reversed it and Steiner was whipped into the chair.
Styles hit a springboard flying forearm for his first nearfall of the match. Styles hit a very impressive Northern Lights suplex with a bridge for a nearfall. Styles tried a Stinger splash but Hebner took it instead. Foley came in to check on Hebner, but Steiner hit Foley over the back with his pipe. He then hit Styles with the pipe, but he kicked out as Hebner slowly made the count.
Steiner then locked in the Steiner Recliner as Hebner continued to come to. Foley was okay all of a sudden and cheered on Styles from the apron. Foley put Mr. Socko on his hand and came up to the apron. Hebner met him. With everyone distracted, Petey Williams came down and hit a missile dropkick on Steiner. Styles hit the Pele kick for the win...
After the match, Styles and Petey embraced in the middle of the ring. Tenay and West said the Front Line was stronger than ever and wondered how the Mafia would respond...
WWE has officially announced what we reported a few weeks ago - WWE diva Victoria is retiring. Her final match will air this Friday on Smackdown. WWE.com writes, "Veteran WWE Diva Victoria plans to retire following her match with Michelle McCool this Friday on SmackDown. What will this vivacious vixen do in the final match of her career?"
WWE has released British developmental wrestler Hade Vansen. WWE ran a bizarre vignette on his planned character on SmackDown a few weeks ago.
WWE had plans for his dark character with cult-esque overtones to engage in a feud with Undertaker, but Vince McMahon halted the direction following the initial vignette. McMahon didn't want new talent from developmental to be put in such a major angle before being tested and then trusted enough to carry the ball.
SmackDown creative team writer Michael Hayes came up with the idea for the storyline. He had plans for Kevin Fertig (a.k.a. Kevin Thorn) and the large masked developmental wrestler Black Pain to be associated with Vansen in some form before the character and direction were dropped. WWE released Fertig last week as well, so only Black Pain remains.
Vansen was signed to a developmental contract in May 2007 following a successful tryout during WWE's European tour. Vansen missed most of 2008 due to injury before returning in December.
Matt Cappotelli has been released from his WWE contract. Cappotelli was the co-winner of Tough Enough III alongside John Hennigan (a.k.a. current WWE Superstar "John Morrison"). Cappotelli was developing his talent further in the WWE development territory Ohio Valley Wrestling, but was diagnosed with a brain tumor in December 2005, forcing him to step away from wrestling and relinquish his OVW Championship. The tumor was removed in May 2007 and he had hoped to return to the ring at some point.
WWE has also dropped referee Mickey Henson (Mickie Jay). Henson had been out of action the past few months with undisclosed health problems and it was unknown if he would return. Henson was brought into the company in the fall of 2005 and asked to change his stage name due to the similarity to the name Mickie James.
More news on Scott Steiner's status in TNA Source: PWTorch.com
Says one fellow wrestler regarding Scott Steiner: "If Scott has a decent, hard match where he takes five or ten bumps, he is feeling much more pain than the average beat up wrestler [and he feels it for up to] 24 hours after the match. The day after he wrestles he walks and moves like a 70 year old. Most wrestlers didn't think he would return from the torn trachea he suffered wrestling in Puerto Rico where he took a kick to the throat, let alone still wrestle to this day.
There is sympathy for Scott backstage in TNA despite his reputation, which at one point was one of the worst in the business. There was one time in WCW where Terry Taylor was so shaken up over his threats that he changed all of his flights just to avoid Steiner. Steiner ended up being sent home over the July 4th weekend, and later joked to friends that if they wanted a paid vacation just pick on Taylor like he did. Another WCW story is that before an episode of Nitro in January 2000, Scott was told by management not to drive the n.W.o. Hummer vehicle over 60 miles an hour. One of the first things he did was see how fast the truck could drive and blew out the engine requiring thousands of dollars worth of repairs. It was during that time frame that WCW threatened to press charges on him for alleged threads made toward Ric Flair in a parking lot, and warned Steiner that if they did press charges he would be in violation of his probation. They were going to fine him and suspend him instead of pressing charges, but his contract prohibited any kind of fine or suspension, so they did neither.
Probably his most famous incident was the fight with DDP backstage at Nitro after Scott cut an unauthorized promo on Page on live TV, and Page picked a fight with him as soon as he walked back through the curtain. It took about seven wrestlers to pry Scott off of Dallas Page and one wrestler said Steiner tried to take his eye out. One report said Steiner filed his nails earlier in the day and if he hadnt, Page might have lost an eye. Some felt Page deserved it while others felt he only got so much heat because of his wife Kimberlys attitude.
Thus far Scott is said to be a pleasure to work with in TNA. Even during his last WWE run he kept to himself and was professional, but quiet and would only socialize if someone tried to talk to him first.
Johnny Curtis and Tyler Recks defeats DH Smith and TJ Wilson (Curtis and Recks are the new tag champs) DJ Gabriel w/ Alicia Fox defeats John Cutler Hade Vansen defeats Yamamoto Ricky Ortiz, Scotty Goldman and Kizarny defeats Jack Swagger, Gavin Spears and Dolph Ziggler Eric Escobar defeats Drew Mcintyre, Joe Henning, Sheamus O' Shaunessy (Eric Escobar new fcw champ)
Scott Steiner is said to be in pretty rough shape, but then again he has been that way since the final year of WCW. There was a point in time where he would warm up for a full hour before going out for a match, and another time when after a 10 minute match he couldn't pick up a napkin he dropped in a hotel, but when he finally did manage to get down on one knee to pick it up he grabbed his back and had to lie down on a couch to relieve the pain. Steiners days in the ring may be numbed, as he had made it clear to friends he has no interest in appearing on camera if he looks feeble or injured. He was once working through back pain so bad that he couldnt do any flat-back bumps and had to fall to his side or to his knees, and explain later to the wrestlers that he wasnt trying to no-sell their moves but he simply couldnt do the back bumps.
Steiner is said to be pretty hard on himself, and most of the locker room feels bad for him at times despite his reputation as an absolute lunatic who has threatened peoples lives over booking decisions. In WCW, Jeff Jarrett was always known as the guy who could keep Scott under control and calm him down.
Says one fellow wrestler regarding Scotts health: "He can't bend over and tie his shoe because of his lower back pain. His stretching routine before matches is barbaric just so he has the mobility to get through a match because he's wound so tight. His back is so bad watching him go through a 12 step process to sit in a car seat is excruciating. It's so not a secret that his back causes him tremendous pain and is an overwhelming concern in his life every day"
Friends continue to encourage Steiner to back off on his muscle-mass, but Steiner continues to be stubborn and prioritize being as big as possible over all else. He never misses a work out and fans said they saw him at a gym in Hawaii while he was there on his honeymoon. Steiner is still financially set from his WCW days and real estate ventures with his brother, but there is tremendous pressure for him to retire due to his physical condition. With so many TNA wrestlers on the shelf, the loss of Steiner would be a major blow to the company.
- Rey Mysterio and John Laurinaitis have agreed to all terms on a new WWE contract, but we don't know if it's on paper and officially signed yet. Internal speculation is that Rey has agreed to terms on a three-year deal with a two-year option. Rey's current contract with WWE expires shortly and would have been done already but it was extended due to him being out of action for a lengthy period with injuries as the standard WWE contract allows them to extend the time frame on the deal if the talent is out for a long period of time.
