WWE is looking to get as much out of The Great Khali while they still can. The belief is that he won't be with the company for the long haul due to his ailing knees, as they continue to give him problems. Khali was said to not be too aggressive in rehab during his last round of knee surgeries. Nowadays, Khali struggles to get around and people are questioning his long term future in the business.

TNA Knockout Suffers Serious Leg Injury Posted by Randy Gordon on 08/03/2008 at 04:36 PM
TNA Knockout Raisha Saeed, or rather, the woman underneath the Burqa, Melissa Anderson, suffered a serious leg injury on Thursday during a routine workout at her local gym, reports ChickFight.tv. Anderson appears on Chickfight shows and she informed them that she needs to stay off the leg for 7 to 10 days and that any travel is out of the question. This could force her to miss the next set of Impact tapings a little over a week from now. Chickfight had no choice but to remove Anderson from today's show in Ipswich, UK.
New reports indicate that Mick Foleys current WWE run could conclude at SummerSlam. Foleys contract is set to expire soon and its unknown whether he will move forward as the SmackDown color commentator.
There are some lingering hard feelings between Foley and Vince that stem from the WWE chairman coming down hard on him while producing him through the headsets. One incident in particular occurred a while back when Foley was still working with Michael Cole and got so bothered by what Vince said to him that he called him later that night. The word going around backstage is that Vince has toned things down while producing Foley since then, but Mick is still bothered by the way he and other announcers have been treated.
Vince is notoriously tough on his broadcasters and the feeling is that Foley was never exposed to that side of him during his wrestling days.
Right now the ball is in Foleys court, as WWE definitely wants to keep him under contract. The feeling is that Foley will only re-sign if hes having fun and wont have to put up with Vinces maniacal rants on the headsets, otherwise he just might walk away. Its said that he is in a very financially secure position and sees no reason to continue working every week if hes not having fun.
Foley is expected to appear at WWEs SummerSlam PPV this year in some capacity, and if he decides to leave the company, it may just be his final WWE appearance.
ATLANTA The groundbreaking WWE.com sensation, The Dirt Sheet, made history once again by broadcasting for the first time live on ECW on Sci Fi. In honor of the monumental occasion, co-hosts John Morrison & The Miz welcomed none other than ECW Champion Mark Henry accompanied by Tony Atlas and No. 1 contender for the ECW title, Matt Hardy.
However, when the former WWE Tag Team Champions tried to mince more than just words with Henrys Extreme challenger, Hardy was more than happy to retaliate. And just when it looked like the excitement could grow no bigger, Morrison accidentally punched Henry, causing The Worlds Strongest Champion to temporarily align himself with his SummerSlam opponent in order to take out both of the outspoken Dirt Sheet stars. (WATCH)
Also on Tuesday night, Mike Knox continued to antagonize Finlay, this time with a verbal assault that indicated The Man Who Loves to Fight had become nothing more than a joke since teaming with his son, Hornswoggle. But when The Belfast Brawler came out to the squared circle to personally answer his charges even going so far as to turn his back to give his adversary a free chance to attack Knox, at least for the moment, decided to change his tune, leaving the ring while staring down Finlay and his son.
In a match that ECW General Manager Theodore Long deemed his final opportunity for ECW Superstardom, Armando Estrada finally earned an ECW contract by defeating Tommy Dreamer. The controversial victory came after the ECW Originals former protégé, Colin Delaney, ran to the ring to distract his former mentor. As a result of Delaneys ringside antics, GM Long has decided to place him in an Extreme Rules Match against Dreamer next week. (WATCH)
In other ECW action, a very solid Braden Walker who came to ECW as part of GM Longs New Superstar Initiative continued to make an impact in the Land of the Extreme by conquering another capable newcomer, James Curtis.
After last weeks post-match attack on Ricky Ortiz, swift justice was served to Chavo Guerrero & his bodyguard, Bam Neely in Extreme tag team action. The explosive combination of Ortiz and the high-flying Evan Bourne reigned supreme over Guerrero & Neely in a whirlwind contest. The two ECW newcomers proved to be in complete sync as a tag team, as Ortiz disposed of the self-proclaimed Mexican Warrior, allowing Bourne to roll up Neely to pick up the big win for the young Superstars.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. After citing the bad first impression he made with the WWE Universe, new General Manager Mike Adamle executed a plan to turn things around on Raw. Eager to impress, the new GM set up a few Adamle Originals, including a headliner for SummerSlam as well as three title matches for that very night, one of which saw John Cena & Batista become the new World Tag Team Champions.
Gold-bonded Though they will face one another for the first time at SummerSlam, John Cena & Batista were forced to compete as a team against World Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase. In spite of the fierce animosity between the Chain Gang Commander and The Animal, the two men managed to overpower the champions, and ended Raw in a shaky alliance with new championship gold around their waists.
Gold Rush Though John Cena and Batista are no doubt happy about becoming World Tag Team Champions, the title they, like much of the Raw Roster, have their eyes on is CM Punks World Heavyweight Championship. Adamle was confronted early in the night by JBL and Chris Jericho, who both desired an opportunity to compete for the gold. In order to determine the No. 1 contender, Adamle made a 2-on-1 Handicap Match pitting World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk against JBL & Chris Jericho, with the Superstar making the pin earning a title opportunity. The Straightedge Champion was no match for the combined might of these two veteran competitors and was pinned by JBL, who will now face Punk for Raws richest prize at SummerSlam.
Shows stopper One of the reasons Y2J claimed to deserve No. 1 contender status was his match against Shawn Michaels at The Great American Bash, in which Y2J severely injured The Showstoppers eye. In an exclusive interview from Michaels home in San Antonio, an ailing HBK stated that while he has certainly been better, the jury is still out on whether his career is over. Not only is Michaels suffering from a detached retina, but his ribs, broken at WrestleMania 24 and reinjured at The Great American Bash, are also in very bad shape. The iconic Superstar will have one more evaluation from his doctor, and will find out the results the Friday before SummerSlam. Michaels plans to attend the Biggest Blockbuster of the Summer regardless of what the news is, appearing in person to deliver it to the WWE Universe.
Winner takes all In the first of the nights three title matches, Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston defeated Paul Burchill to retain gold. After the match, when Kingston chased Paul away from the ring, the brutal Englishmans sister, Katie Lea, was left in the ring by herself. She was soon joined, however, by WWE Womens Champion Mickie James, beginning the nights second title match. Mickie defeated Katie Lea to retain her championship gold, but before she could leave the arena, the Womens Champion was attacked by Beth Phoenix, accompanied by what appears to be The Glamazons new beau, Santino Marella.
After the match, both The Glamazon and the Italian Superstar confronted Adamle about their desires for championship matches at SummerSlam. Hoping to satisfy both competitors, Adamle created another match for the Biggest Blockbuster of the Summer: A Winner Takes All Match between Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston & WWE Womens Champion Mickie James and Santino Marella & Beth Phoenix, with both titles going to the winning team.
Let the cat (?) out of the bag On Monday night, GM Adamle also put Matt Striker in his first match since joining the Raw brand. Unfortunately for Striker, that match was against the maniacal Kane, who ran roughshod over his opponent. Following the match, the Big Red Monster took hold of a microphone and admitted that he has been in a bad place lately, referencing his string of brutal assaults on in-ring competitors and announcers alike. Holding up his mysterious burlap sack, Kane assured the WWE Universe that whoever he is, is dead and not coming back.
While Kane seems more at peace with whatever, or whoever, is in his enigmatic burlap bag, its still a mystery to the rest of the WWE Universe. Hoping to endear himself to the WWE Universe, GM Adamle announced that next week on Raw, he will solve the mystery of Kanes burlap sack, ordering the Big Red Monster to disclose its contents.
Chivalrys not dead In another act aimed at pleasing the WWE Universe, GM Adamle had Layla perform one of her special dances in the ring. Before our fans could get their fill of eye-candy, however, William Regal stormed to the ring, interrupting Laylas show and dismissing her as a tart. Earlier on WWE.com, Layla rebuffed the advances of the tenacious Jamie Noble, explaining that she doesnt associate with losers, but that couldnt keep Noble from rushing to the ring to defend the Divas honor. The diminutive Superstar assaulted Regal, battering the British brawler until they were separated by referees.
Sicodelico, Jr. and Dos Caras Jr. have both signed three year contracts with WWE, according to a report in the Ovaciones newspaper in Mexico. Both wrestlers are stars in Mexico.

HERSHEY, Pa. As a surprise special guest on The Cutting Edge, Hardcore Legend Mick Foley gave Edge a stern talking to about what he needed to do to win Hell in a Cell against Undertaker at SummerSlam. SummerSlam preview
After recalling his own words from the past, describing Edge as the greatest Superstar in WWE, Foley warned that if the new Edge the white-tuxedo-wearing and luffa-sponge bathing Edge walks into Hell in a Cell, The Undertaker will tear him apart.
After Foleys cutting words, the Rated-R Superstar claimed to understand the advice, but suddenly attacked the Hardcore Legend, leading to a melee culminating in Edge leaping from atop a ladder and smashing Foley through a table.
Karma After enduring a very personal attack from Montel Vontavious Porter last week on SmackDown, Jeff Hardy planted himself in a chair in front of the announce table to watch MVP take on Jimmy Wang Yang. After MVP took care of business against Yang with a kick to the temple, the Legend Thriller came into the ring to silence his antagonist with a hard-hitting Twist of Fate. (WATCH)
Keeping the champ in check In an exciting back-and-forth struggle for dominance, Mr. Kennedy battled United States Champion Shelton Benjamin in a non-title bout. After the champion weakened Kennedy with a brutal shoulder breaker into the ring post, the Gold Standard keyed-in on the injury with a series of targeted attacks. However, Kennedy was able to battle back and down the champion with a crushing Mic Check for the pinfall. When questioned by Eve after the match about his performance, the champion claimed he was suffering from an acute case of bronchitis.
Backbreaker punctuates win With Ezekiel looking on, the self-proclaimed most intelligent Superstar in WWE, The Brian Kendrick, dominated his opponent, Stevie Richards. But the win wasnt enough to satisfy Kendricks associate. After the match, Ezekiel hoisted Richards onto his back and delivered a paralyzing backbreaker. (WATCH)
Crushing the Legend Thriller In perhaps one of Jeff Hardys most lopsided matches ever, the Legend Thriller was completely dominated by The Great Khali. Toward the end of the match, however, Hardy had a glimmer of hope when he was able to topple the Punjabi Giant with a Whisper in the Wind capped off with a Swanton Bomb. But just when things were looking good for Hardy, MVP approached the ring, forcing Hardy to divert his attention, kicking MVP back away from the ring and onto the floor. As Hardy and MVP tussled outside the ring, Khali forcibly ripped Hardy back into the ring by the head. Next, the 7-footer locked Hardy in his painful Khali Vise Grip, forcing the referee to call for the bell to stop the punishment. After the match, MVP came back into the ring to gloat over Hardys lifeless body.
Successful debut Coming to SmackDown from Raw courtesy of the 2008 Supplemental WWE Draft, Playboy cover girl Maria made her debut on Friday nights in a match against Victoria. Using a flying clothesline off the ropes, Maria drove Victoria to the canvas to get the pinfall. (WATCH)
An angry giant is a dangerous giant Domino should have thought twice before tossing his T-shirt into the face of Big Show. After the serious error in judgment, Domino paid a heavy price at the massive hands of The Worlds Largest Athlete, who chokeslammed Domino for the easy victory. After the bell, Umaga stormed into the arena to confront Big Show. After sizing each other up as they moved around the ring, Big Show motioned for Umaga to come toward him, but the Samoan Bulldozer decided to save it for another day and backed out of the ring.
WASHINGTON, D.C. When Saturday Nights Main Event rolled into the nations capital, WWEs very best was on display. Though the Biggest Blockbuster of the Summer is only weeks away, SummerSlam competitors put it all on the line while Jenny McCarthy stepped into the ring to fight autism with Generation Rescue. More on McCarthy's appearance
The Biggest Brawl of the Summer Though theyll be facing one another at SummerSlam, John Cena and Batista were forced to compete on the same tag team at Saturday Nights Main Event. The Chain Gang Commander and The Animal were joined by Cryme Tyme as they met the team of JBL, Kane & World Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase in a chaotic Eight-Man Tag Team Match. As World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk observed from ringside, the match devolved into an outright brawl that came to an end when JBL hit JTG with a Clothesline from Hell and pinned the Cryme Tyme member for the win.
Most Valuable Interference When Edge squared off against Jeff Hardy, there was a lot on the Rated-R Superstars mind, such as his rocky relationship with SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero and his impending Hell in a Cell Match against a returning Undertaker at SummerSlam. And after his brutal attack on Mick Foley on SmackDown just 24 hours earlier, a reinvigorated Edge was ready to make a statement. Though there were several near falls throughout the match, neither Superstar could get a definitive upper-hand. But as Edge recuperated outside the ring from a missed spear, MVP emerged from the crowd and delivered a crushing kick to the head of Jeff Hardy. This was just the opening that the Ultimate Opportunist needed, as he rushed back into the ring and speared his opponent, gaining momentum for SummerSlam.
Behold the Destroyer At 7 feet 3 inches and 420 pounds, its no wonder that The Great Khali is one of the most destructive forces in WWE history. Though he will challenge WWE Champion Triple H for the title at SummerSlam, at Saturday Nights Main Event, it was Jimmy Yang Wang who attempted to stand up to the Punjabi Giants assault. Yangs aerial maneuvers had proven effective against larger opponents in the past, but Khali was too much for him, swatting the high-flyer to the ground, and then delivering a thunderous Khali Bomb, followed by an authoritative pin.
TNA iMPACT! RESULTS FOR JULY 31, 2008 By Charles Rice
With Hard Justice quickly bearing down on the stars of Total Nonstop Action (TNA), it was another eventful night in the iMPACT! Zone. To start the night off it was TNAs newest tag team, Beer Money taking on the Instant Classic Christian Cage and Rhino in a number one contenders match for the TNA Tag Team titles. In a match that went back and forth, it appeared as if neither team had the upper hand. That was of course until Team 3D and their running buddy Johnny Devine interfered in the match, thus helping Beer Money pick up the win and become the new number one contenders for LAXs tag team titles. Obviously this did not sit well with Cage or Rhino and they issued the challenge to Team 3D for a New Jersey Street Fight at Hard Justice.
Next up it was Curry Man, Shark Boy, and Black Machismo Jay Lethal, who was accompanied to the ring by So Cal Val, taking on Johnny Devine and The Rock N Rave Infection who were accompanied by Christy Hemme. In the end it was Lethal who picked up the win on Devine. This was because when Devine went to hit his patented Devine Intervention, Lethal reversed it and hit the Lethal Combination gaining the 1 2 3.
After the match, Lethal invited So Cal Val into the ring and was about to ask her to marry him again when he noticed that her wedding ring was missing. Obviously upset, he demanded to know where it was and when she claimed she had lost it he stormed off in anger. On his way out Lethal made it clear that he felt Val had never intended to marry him. One can only imagine that somewhere Sonjay Dutt was watching this with a smile plastered on his face. But will he be smiling after he and Jay have their Tuxedo Brawl and Chain match at Hard Justice?
In the back Jeremy Borash is talking with CMT interviewer Lance Smith when Super Eric comes and says that he, Shark Boy, and Curry Man are going to find Vals missing wedding ring and save the day.
After a commercial break JB is in the back interviewing the TNA World Heavyweight Champion who is obviously upset about all that has transpired as of late. He said that he wanted Booker and that he should bring Sting too because he was going to take them both out.
After a video airs showing the history between Joe and Booker we see Kevin Nash in the back trying to calm Joe down. He tells him that he has his back but that Joe needs to have a plan.
Back in the ring Booker is standing the in middle of the Six Sides of Steel filled with Weapons and invites Joe out to the ring. After Joe tells Booker he is going to beat him down if he comes in there, he finally goes in the ring as Nash comes down and blocks the door. From there, Joe proceeds to produce a weapon and starts whaling on Booker. Having seen enough, Sharmell comes running down to try and save her husband but it is to no avail. That is because Nash will not let her in the ring. He finally carries her off and this gives Booker just the opening he needed. With Joes back turned, a black bat is sent down into the ring and Booker uses it to lay Joe out.
When iMPACT! returns from a commercial break, AJ Styles is standing in the ring demanding to know what is going on with The Icon Sting. He said he has always believed in Sting but know he thinks he is a coward. With that the lights go out while Stings music plays. When the lights come back on Kurt Angle is standing in the ring and proceeds to Olympic Slam AJ three consecutive times.
In the back JB is in the Beautiful Peoples locker room where they are being confronted by Shark Boy and Curry Man about stealing Vals ring. After telling off the two masked stars of TNA, they tell JB that they are going to beat Gail Kim and Taylor Wilde tonight. They then talk to each other about a certain she who will be ready but refuse to say who it is.
In a non title bought, TNA X-Division Champion, Petey Williams, lost to TNA new comer, Consequences Creed. This of course did not go unnoticed by TNA management Jim Cornette. At Hard Justice it will now be Creed taking on Williams for the X-Division Title.
In the back we see LAX now being confronted by Shark Boy and Curry Man about stealing the ring only to be told off by Homicide.
After another commercial break, AJ is in the back talking with Lauren and says that when Sting does come out of hiding he is going to be the first to find him. He then goes on to challenge Kurt Angle to a Last Man standing match live on Pay-Per-View at Hard Justice.
In the second part of Karen Angles interview with former TNA employee, Kaz, he talks about why he quit TNA. TNA would just like to take this moment to wish Kaz the best of luck in all his future endeavors. After her interview was over and Kaz had walked off, out came Tomko who proceeded to destroy the set of Karens Angle. He promised that each and every week he would make her life a living hell in Kurts honor.
Back in the ring, The Blueprint Matt Morgan is taking on a local wrestler. Morgan makes quick work of him but is not finished in the ring. Grabbing a microphone, he calls Tomko out and the two go at it. Even after being separated by referees, the two get back in each others faces. In the end it was Matt Morgan who laid out Tomko.
With the main event of the night upon us, it was Angelina Love and Velvet Sky taking on TNA Knockout Champion, Taylor Wilde and Gail Kim. After a smash mouth style of match that showed the two opposing teams disdain for each other, it was Kim and Wilde that picked up the win. The fun had just begun however. Out came former Knockout Champion, Awesome Kong. Her and The Beautiful People began to beat down Kim and Wilde, only to be saved by ODB and Roxxi coming out. As all this was going on, Traci Brooks appeared on the entrance ramp with a smile on her face as she looked on.
As iMPACT! was going off the air cameras caught Joe in the rafters looking for Sting. However, all he was able to find was a black crow perched on a beam.
Is this another mind game from Booker T? Or is it Sting leaving another message for Joe? Find out the answers to these questions and more next week on iMPACT! If you missed the broadcast tonight, make sure to tune into Spike TV Saturday night. Check your local listings for replay times.
Volgens verschillende berichten is Dustin Runnels (Black Reign) vertrokken bij TNA...creative zou niet weten wat gedaan met zijn character dus de samenwerking wordt beëindigd...zijn profile is trouwens al weggehaald van de TNA-website...

HERSHEY, Pa. Make no mistake, ECW Champion Mark Henry plans to hold on to the Extreme gold through SummerSlam and for a long time to come a mission he made clear on Tuesdays ECW on Sci Fi. The Worlds Strongest Champion came face-to-face with his SummerSlam opponent and fellow ECW draftee, Matt Hardy, on ECW where Henry bent a steel bar to prove his strength and toughness.
But No. 1 contender Hardy wasnt impressed by Henrys act of strength, nor was he bothered by his ECW on Sci Fi opponent, Colin Delaney. The youngster faced Hardy in an attempt to impress Henry and WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas who merely looked on, without offering assistance. After Hardy defeated Delaney, Henry entered the ECW ring, took a long look at his SummerSlam opponent, then grabbed Delaney, and in another act of strength, pressed him over his head and tossed him over the top rope. (WATCH)
Will the Worlds Strongest Champion continue to dominate in the Land of the Extreme? Or will Hardys positive momentum and unbreakable spirit continue through SummerSlam, helping him to prevail in his ECW Championship Match? Now that Henry has shown Delaney where he stands within their partnership, and Delaney again failed to impress the ECW Champion, who will the youngster turn to next for guidance?
Also on ECW, Sci Fi's highest-rated show, the undefeated Ricky Ortiz took on Chavo Guerrero, who was accompanied by his bodyguard, Bam Neely. The confident Ortiz, who is part of ECW General Manager Theodore Longs New Superstar Initiative, entered the match with a 1-0 record, and continued his winning streak when Guerrero lost by disqualification because of Neelys interference. After the match, Neely attacked Ortiz and held down his feet while Guerrero delivered a devastating frog splash to the newcomer. But Guerreros gloating didnt last long, as Evan Bourne rushed the ECW ring to quickly attack the self-proclaimed Mexican Warrior, then escaped to have the last laugh. (WATCH)
Bournes been a thorn in Guerreros side for the last few weeks will the high-flying newcomer continue to torment Guerrero? How will Guerrero use Neely to his advantage when it comes to warding off Bourne?
Also on Tuesday night, The Miz & John Morrison met Finlay & Hornswoggle in tag team action. The former WWE Tag Team Champions found a sweet victory in Chocolatetown, U.S.A., defeating the father and son duo. As Finlay tended to his son, Mike Knox stormed into the ring and attacked Finlay, laying him out alongside Hornswoggle. Minutes later, Knox told ECW Diva Lena Yada that Finlay has gone from being the man who loves to fight to the man who loves to dance with leprechauns. Knox said Finlay has gone soft, making him an easy target.
Will Knox come after Finlay again? How will Finlay & Hornswoggle prove they havent gone soft as Extreme Superstars?
Finally, theres a new face in the Land of the Extreme. Following the shocking appointment of Mike Adamle to Raw General Manager by WWE Executive Vice President, Shane McMahon, five-year veteran of the WWE announce team, Todd Grisham, has joined ECW as the new play-by-play man on Tuesday nights.
Dont forget to watch Saturday Nights Main Event this Saturday at 9 p.m. ET on NBC, and help support the fight against autism with Jenny McCarthy and Generation Rescue now.
The Honky Tonk Man nearly lost his finger while doing a guitar stunt which went wrong a few days ago. He was in need of several stitches however was able to keep his finger.
