Colorado Springs, Colo. With just two days until his Stretcher Match against Shawn Michaels at One Night Stand, Batista continued to show his ferocious determination, smashing through Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder on this weeks SmackDown, with a little help from Big Show. (WATCH)
Earlier in the evening, as Batista was sending Michaels a message of the hurt he will cause The Showstopper on Sunday, General Manager Vickie Guerrero took strong exception to what she felt was rude behavior on the part of The Animal. She set a tag team match pitting Hawkins & Ryder against Batista and any Superstar who wanted to volunteer to be his partner.
Big Show answered the call, and he and Batista laid waste to their opponents in a mismatch from the beginning, including a startling moment when The Worlds Largest Athlete heaved Ryder from the outside floor into the ring by his hair, one-handedly. Although an explosive Batista Bomb ended this match, will it be Shawn Michaels who catches The Animals fallout on Sunday?
Cant break through Since defeating MVP for the United States Championship at Backlash, Matt Hardy continues to establish himself as a fighting champion, defeating Elijah Burke in a hard fought, non-title match. Burke, who shows great potential in his matches, seems to be getting more and more frustrated at his inability to break through to the next level. In the end, he seemed lost and confused, looking up at the heavens for answers. (Watch the Alka-Seltzer® Speedy Recap)
Past the boiling point After last weeks humiliating loss to Finlay, thanks in part to the green mist of Hornswoggle, Chuck Palumbo had his mind set on revenge. When Hornswoggle got involved once again, Palumbo snapped, assaulting Finlay with his motorcycle chain, giving the Irishman the win by disqualification at a heavy price.
Miz out; Morrison down; momentum to Punk Mr. Money in the Bank CM Punk and WWE Tag Team Champion John Morrison fought for momentum leading into the Singapore Cane Match at One Night Stand, where the winner will go on to face ECW Champion Kane. After The Miz was banned from ringside, Punk picked up the hard-fought win. One has to wonder if Mr. Money in the Bank will cash in on the most Extreme night of the year, or if he will continue to bide his time until WrestleMania XXV.
Hes better than you SmackDown commentator Mick Foley alluded to Montel Vontavious Porter being a bit unsure of himself since losing the United States Championship. However, after a huge loss to Batista last week, MVP got back on track, picking up the win over Jamie Noble. Noble had tried to inspire MVP earlier in the night, but the Ballin Superstar was hearing none of it, choosing instead to showcase why he believes he is half-man, half-amazing. With the Draft on the horizon, will MVP soon become the highest-paid athlete on another brand?
From Moscow with animation Vladimir Kozlov continues to dominate the SmackDown roster, decimating Shannon Moore. The Monster from Moscow remains undefeated on SmackDown, and is becoming a huge force on Friday nights.
Cherry gets payback After delivering a nasty kick to fellow SmackDown Diva Cherry last week, the sultry Maryse locked horns with Michelle McCool. When Cherry showed up to distract Deuce & Domino, McCool turned the tables on Maryse, picking up an impressive win by submission.
Its not gonna be that easy On what could be his final SmackDown, Undertaker was a guest on The Cutting Edge, standing face-to-face with his TLC Match opponent, Edge.
The Rated-R Superstar looked to gain the upper hand in their confrontation on Sunday and, with The Family by his side, attempted to close the casket on The Phenoms impressive career.
As he celebrated, the arena went dark and The Phenom appeared on top of the ladder, sending a message of his own just 48 hours before the World Heavyweight Championship hangs above the ring at One Night Stand.
NEWS FROM THURSDAY'S "iMPACT!": KURT/AJ SITUATION, NASH IN KING OF THE MOUNTAIN, NEW STING AND ABYSS VIDEOS AND MORE By Bill Banks
There are several major news items to report from Thursday's "iMPACT!" as TNA Wrestling continues the road to the June 8 Slammiversary Pay-Per-View event!
- AJ Styles promised he would attempt to get revenge on Thursday after the beating he took the week before. With help from Samoa Joe, LAX, Christian Cage and Rhino, he was able to get some payback on Team 3D at the start of the broadcast.
- Later, AJ was scheduled to speak to Karen Angle live in the ring, but Kurt Angle showed up and attacked AJ in the backstage area! Kurt went to the ring and confronted his wife - leading to AJ coming back to defend her. As the broadcast went off the air it was Kurt, Tomko, Team 3D and Booker T annihilating Styles and Christian Cage, who had come out to help AJ.
- New matches for Slammiversary were announced on Thursday, with Kurt Angle vs. AJ Styles and The LAX vs. Team 3D for the Tag team Championship taking place at the Pay-Per-View spectacular.
- Kevin Nash was able to convince TNA Management Director Jim Cornette to name him the special enforcer for the King Of The Mountain main event at Slammiversary.
- Also on the broadcast, Christian Cage defeated Tomko and Rhino defeated James Storm to advance to the King Of The Mountain match at the PPV.
- Plus, a new video of Abyss was broadcast where he announced he would be able to "go home in 10 days".
- Sonjay Dutt accepted Jay Lethal's invitation to be his best man at the wedding on June 8. In addition, there will be a bachelor party on next week's broadcast.
- Angelina Love was able to defeat Roxxi after interference by Velvet Sky. After the bout, Angelina and Velvet "brown bagged" Roxxi, but ODB and a still-injured Gail Kim came out to chase off The Beautiful People.
- TNA Women's Champion Awesome Kong continued her $25,000 challenge, once again mauling a female volunteer from the audience.
I was at the Smackdown taping last night, and there was a fan incident. He was in the section next to me in the lower tier getting pretty drunk. He hopped down and ran by the ramp right to the ring. I'm pretty sure he hit either Hawkins or Ryder in the back or the back of the head. Bam Neeley then hit the guy pretty hard before security got there.
TNA Knockout Angelina Love suffered a concussion at Monday's iMPACT! taping, reports prowrestling.NET. One observer believes that she suffered the injury when she took a high cross body block during a match with Roxxi Laveaux. Love was well enough to work last night's iMPACT! tapings, although she didn't wrestle in a match. Love also suffered a concussion in a match with Awesome Kong last February
Scott Steiner was too injured to wrestle at the last set of Impact tapings. He suffered some sort of injury during his title match at Sacrifice. TNA had plans for him nab a singles win at one of the tapings, but he was too hurt to wrestle. The injury isn't serious as he should be back in the ring soon, perhaps as early as tonight's Impact taping.
Tommy Dreamer def. Big Show Kofi Kingston def. Mike Knox Chavo Guerrero def. CM Punk ECW Champion Kane vs. WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison (No Contest)
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. As May comes to an end, the world of sports-entertainment is chomping at the bit like never before. While our fans cling to hopes of getting their hands on a million dollars, the Superstars in the Land of the Extreme are aching for One Night Stand to arrive.
With aspirations of one day obtaining the ECW Title himself, Kofi Kingston took on Mike Knox in an attempt to rebound from his first WWE loss to Shelton Benjamin. This contest didnt go much better, however, as he won, but didn't celebrate for long.
The Gold Standard insisted on being part of the action, pounding the Jamaican Superstar into the ground with Knoxs help after the bell. Benjamin left the squared circle with an ear-to-ear grin. (WATCH)
ECW kicked off with two of the competitors in Sundays Singapore Cane Match Tommy Dreamer and Big Show in one-on-one action. Big Show was initially the forgotten ECW Champion as ECW General Manager Armando Estrada named only Dreamer, CM Punk, John Morrison and Chavo Guerrero in the competition. Big Show made sure his presence was felt later that evening when he attacked all four of the Superstars and declared his own participation in the Singapore Cane Match. He had a big impact on ECW this week as well, defeating Dreamer with authority and sending a message to the other participants.
CM Punk and Chavo Guerrero got a little preview of One Night Stand as well. With bodyguard Bam Neely in Guerreros corner, the Superstars did battle once more, recalling the days when they rivaled over the ECW Championship. This time, Chavo came out on top. Despite neither one currently holding the title, the circumstances are not much different this time around. Both the self-proclaimed Mexican Warrior and Mr. Money in the Bank looked to gain an edge heading into Sundays contest that would determine the No. 1 Contender to Kanes gold.
The nights main event pitted the ECW Champion against the WWE Tag Team Champions in a Handicap Match. The Miz looked to defeat Kane for the second consecutive week while John Morrison hoped to overpower the Big Red Machine and make the other hopeful No. 1 Contenders sweat.
Neither of The Dirt Sheet hosts got to prove themselves; though, neither did Kane. The match ended with no decision when Guerrero, Dreamer and the Straightedge Superstar ran into the ring, leading to an all-out brawl. The scuffle ended when Big Show marched to the squared circle and cleared out the ring along with Kane. The two monsters stared each other down as ECW went off the air, but the Worlds Largest Athlete cant get ahead of himself just yet. He has four Superstars between him and a title opportunity. (WATCH)
Dont forget to watch One Night Stand on Sunday at 8/7 CT to find out who will be challenging Kane for the ECW Title at Night of Champions.

1270 WMPM is reporting that Gregory Helms faces criminal charges for his role in an altercation at a Smithfield bar with Dustin Narron. Helms took out an assault warrant shortly after the incident on May 6. Since, Narron has filed a misdemeanor assault charge which was served to Helms on May 22.

DENVER WWE Champion Triple H came face-to-face with Randy Orton on Raw, six days before doing battle in a Last Man Standing Match at One Night Stand for the gold.
In front of a sold-out crowd, both Orton and The Game threw accusations at the other as Todd Grisham attempted to mediate the volatile confrontation. Where Triple H and Orton are both focused on the same thing, the WWE Championship, each Superstar has taken different roads to the ever-dangerous Last Man Standing Match on Sunday.
Both men firmly believe the gold is their destiny, and both claim to be on the right side of the rivalry but only one man can stand tall after their showdown this Sunday. And while The Game and the Legend Killer both have something to prove to each other, they will undoubtedly look to prove to themselves that their claims of being the best are not farfetched.
Who will walk away from One Night Stand with the WWE Championship in their hands? Will Orton end Triple Hs reign as the 12-time champion? Or, as he claimed, will The Cerebral Assassins victory make sure the Age of Orton is not only dead, but also seem like it never existed?
Tumultuous tag teams As Jeff Hardy and Umaga head toward a Falls Count Anywhere encounter, and JBL and John Cena look to draw First Blood at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view this Sunday, the unlikely yet formidable duo of JBL & Umaga defeated Hardy & Cena on Raw.
The combination of Umaga & JBLs physically punishing styles was too much for the mixture of Hardys high-flying offense with Cenas brute strength. JBL took advantage after Hardy missed a Swanton Bomb, delivering the Clothesline from Hell to get the win.
Earlier in the night, JBL assured Cenas close friend, Womens Champion Mickie James that he would make Cena bleed like a stuck pig on Sunday. JBL added insult to his promise, insinuating the relationship between Cena & James was anything but friendship. Has JBL crossed the line and will Cena make the loudmouth pay for it? Will John Cena bring the pain to JBL in their First Blood Match, or will the self-proclaimed wrestling god stay true to his promise to destroy The Champ?
What will happen when Umaga and Jeff Hardy do battle anywhere in the arena come One Night Stand? Will the Samoan Bulldozer put an end to Jeffs hot streak since his return, or will Hardy defy the odds as he has time-and-time again during his career?
Redeeming qualities In the past few weeks, Shawn Michaels and Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho have had their differences in and out of the ring, with much of the issue stemming from HBKs rivalry with Batista. On Raw, the two did battle, with the match ending in a double count-out. When the opportunity arose for Jericho to take his frustrations out on Michaels with a steel chair after the match, Y2J instead showed his respect for The Showstopper as he lifted him to his feet.
As Michaels heads toward a Stretcher Match showdown with The Animal at One Night Stand, he appears to have gained the respect of his on-again, off-again rival. Will HBK carry that with him when he faces Batista on Sunday? Will it help when he faces the enraged Animal?
Priceless World Tag Team Champions Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes defeated the determined duo of Paul London & Brian Kendrick to retain their titles on Raw.
After the match, however, Rhodes & Holly were shocked at the arrival of Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, who told the champions their days with the gold were numbered. DiBiase then unveiled he and Mr. McMahon had struck a deal, as he introduced the newest member of the Raw roster his son, Ted DiBiase.
The offspring of the Million Dollar Man showed the same bravado his father did as a legend and three-time tag champion himself, as he guaranteed to become a World Tag Team Champion, too, in his first match.
Hailing the king On a night where Cryme Tyme robbed the last of the personal effects of former Raw General Manager William Regals office, Mr. Kennedy, the man who ended Regals career, continued to roll when he defeated Carlito on Monday night.
After the victory, the man responsible for ridding WWE of Regal was celebrating when the former GMs fellow Brits, Paul & Katie Lea Burchill, set up and attacked Kennedy. Intent to earn revenge on the Superstar responsible for retiring Regal, Paul delivered a Curb Stomp to Kennedy, leaving Raws outspoken Superstar silent in the center of the ring.
Diva dissention Despite their friendship, Jillian and Melina went one-on-one on Raw just moments after Melina learned she would face Beth Phoenix at One Night Stand in an I Quit Match. Phoenix sat at ringside on commentary, where she explained that nobody could make her say those two words. Melina forced the tone-deaf Diva Jillian to tap out, much to the dismay of The Glamazon.
Mile High millions WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon was on Raw with two blockbuster announcements for our fans and each and every WWE Superstar and Diva, intent to show his appreciation to our fans in attendance and around the world.
Mr. McMahon promised that the night would end with something extraordinary, and true to his word, it did. In an unprecedented move, the Chairman announced that next week he would begin giving away $1 million each week on Raw. What will this mean for our fans?
The Chairman announced that a Draft will take place at the end of June, and that nobody will be exempt from its grasp. Every Superstar, Diva and announcer can be drafted to any brand, and the unpredictable nature of the Draft is sure to keep the respective locker rooms abuzz in the coming weeks.
Dave Meltzer confirms in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that former ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero is actually one drug test failure away from an automatic termination from World Wrestling Entertainment, not two. The other two wrestlers in the company in the same uneasy position are of course Jeff Hardy and William Regal.
Big Show has been telling people that he will be starring in a new WWE Film project soon. Apparently the movie will be a comedy crossed between "The Waterboy" and "Kingpin."

The WWE site has a poll on the front page asking fans as to who they would like to see as the new General Manager of Raw. The options are Vickie Guerrero, Ted DiBiase, Vince McMahon and Theodore Long. McMahon is winning the poll with 45% of the vote, followed by DiBiase, Long and Guerrero in that order.
Deuce, Domino & Maryse def. Jesse, Festus & Cherry Finlay def. Chuck Palumbo Batista def. MVP Vladimir Kozlov def. Nunzio United States Champion Matt Hardy & Kofi Kingston def. Shelton Benjamin & Elijah Burke Undertaker def. Chavo Guerrero
DES MOINES, Iowa With just nine days until One Night Stand, Batista sent a strong message to his Stretcher Match opponent, Shawn Michaels, when he defeated MVP in convincing fashion on SmackDown after a thunderous Batista Bomb. (WATCH)
Earlier in the night, MVP welcomed former SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long to his VIP Lounge, with the hopes that Long could shed some light on his reasons for quitting as Vickie Guerreros assistant, and his appearance this past Monday on Raw. But the brazen MVP couldnt resist the opportunity to berate Long for his perceived mistreating of the highest paid Superstar on Friday Night SmackDown.
Montel Vontavious Porter went so far as to accuse Theodore of being jealous of his, good looks, money and clothes. When Long attempted to avoid the confrontation, MVP grabbed his former boss by the tie, prompting Batista to make his way to the ring. The Animal offered a thank you to Long, and then turned his attentions to the cocky MVP. Batista told MVP to keep his hands off Long, and when the Ballin Superstar accused The Animal of disrespecting him, the VIP Lounge was redecorated by Batistas rage. (WATCH)
MVP immediately stormed into GM Guerreros office, where he was told he would face Batista one-on-one, a match MVP won't soon forget. But it was the dominating fashion of Batistas win that should have Raws Shawn Michaels paying attention, because The Animal is focused and ready to do whatever it takes to claim victory in the Stretcher Match. The question now is how far will HBK go?
Rasta revenge After suffering his first loss this past Tuesday on ECW on Sci Fi, Kofi Kingston teamed with United States Champion Matt Hardy to take on Shelton Benjamin & Elijah Burke. The heated rivalry between Kingston and Benjamin has only increased, and the Gold Standard was hoping to make it two in a row over the Jamaican Superstar. Hardy & Kingston, however, had plans of their own, and when the U.S. Champion tossed Burke to the outside, Kingston took advantage and leveled Benjamin with a spinning heel kick to get back on the winning track.
Cracked in the mouth As color commentator Mick Foley pointed out on SmackDown, it had been some time since Deuce & Domino felt the thrills of victory in WWE. The duo from the Other Side of the Tracks was intent on putting an end to their downward spiral when they teamed with Maryse to take on Jesse, Festus & Cherry in a Mixed Tag Team Match. When the action between Deuce & Domino and Jesse & Festus spilled to the outside, Maryse took advantage, kicking Cherry in the face to get the win. (WATCH) Read more: Cherry receives Maryse's sweet kick
From Moscow, with pain The monster from Moscow, Vladimir Kozlov, kept his undefeated streak intact on SmackDown when he decimated Nunzio in a one-on-one contest. Kozlov continues to impress as he steamrolls his competition, and Nunzio was the latest Superstar to fall victim to Kozlovs power. (WATCH)
Misty eyes are smiling Chuck Palumbo arrived in Des Moines looking to continue the roll he has been on lately, as he stepped into the ring with Finlay. Palumbo was in control for much of the match, but Finlays son, Hornswoggle, turned the tide for his father. The pint-sized Superstar sprayed green mist into the eyes of Palumbo, allowing the Irishman to nail his opponent with the shillelagh to get the win.
Thwarted plans After General Manager Vickie Guerrero announced that Edge would face Undertaker in a TLC Match at One Night Stand (WATCH), she placed her nephew Chavo Guerrero in a one-on-one match on SmackDown. Edge assured Chavo that he, Curt Hawkins, Zack Ryder & Bam Neely would all watch the former ECW Champions back, but Edge, Hawkins & Ryder found themselves ejected from ringside. With the distractions gone, The Phenom sent a message to Edge when he Tombstoned Chavo to get the win.
Thursday, 20 September 2007 NEWS AND VIDEO FROM THURSDAY'S "iMPACT!" BROADCAST ON SPIKE TV: AJ GETS ANNIHILATED, STING INTERVIEW CONTINUES, MORE ABYSS VIDEO By Bill Banks
There are several major news items to report from Thursday's "iMPACT!" broadcast as Total Nonstop Action heads towards the "Slammiversary" Pay-Per-View on Sunday, June 8!
- The first King Of The Mountain Qualifying Matches were held on "iMPACT!", with Robert Roode advancing to the Slammiversary main event after he narrowly beat Matt Morgan.
- In the second KOTM qualfier, Booker T was able to beat AJ Styles after Tomko cost AJ the bout. The big news came after the match, as Tomko, Booker and Team 3D attempted to annihilate Styles. Karen Angle tried to help AJ, eventually bringing out her estranged husband Kurt Angle to chase off his attackers. However, after Kurt saw Karen holding AJ in her arms, the Olympic gold medalist instead joined in on the attack on The Phenomenal One to end the broadcast! Earlier in the night, Karen turned down Kurt's pleas to come home - and Kurt apparently snapped when he saw Karen with AJ and assumed they have been seeing each other.
- In addition, during an in-ring interview with TNA World Champion Samoa Joe, his mentor Kevin Nash became irate after Joe didn't select him to compete for a spot in the King Of The Mountain match. - Also on the broadcast, more footage aired of Abyss as well as the exclusive sitdown interview with Sting. You can check out the footage above.
The Miz def. ECW Champion Kane Shelton Benjamin def. Kofi Kingston Kelly Kelly & Colin Delaney def. Layla & Mike Knox Armando Estrada def. Colin Delaney John Morrison & Chavo Guerrero def. CM Punk & Tommy Dreamer
DES MOINES, Iowa Kofi Kingstons long undefeated streak came to a crashing halt at the hands of Shelton Benjamin on ECW on Sci Fi. The Jamaican Superstar, who won every Extreme match since his ECW debut in January, lost to the Gold Standard. The third time must be the Golden charm for Benjamin. Kingston defeated him twice on ECW, but Benjamin delivered on his vow to end Kingstons impressive winning streak.
In mixed tag team action on ECW, Kelly Kelly & Colin Delaney faced off against Layla & Mike Knox. Kelly Kelly dominated over her former friend, pinning Layla to win the match. But after the bell, Knox attacked ECW newcomer, Delaney, and laid him out in the ECW ring.
Just when Delaneys luck couldnt get any worse, ECW General Manager Armando Estrada marched into the ring, ordering Knox & Layla to leave because he was about to have an unscheduled match against the youngster. As Kelly Kelly watched at ringside, Delaney was once again battered and beaten by the ripped GM. (WATCH)
Just 48 hours after their tag match at Judgment Day, The Miz met ECW Champion Kane on Tuesday night. Despite a concussion, sore back, stiff neck and constant headaches, one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions was ready to seek retribution for being brutally chokeslammed by Kane at Judgment Day. The Miz was victorious by disqualification, but he wasnt celebrating when The Big Red Machine chokeslammed him once again.
Finally, Estrada announced that four former ECW World Champions will compete in a Singapore Cane Match at One Night Stand for the No. 1 contendership for the ECW title. But on ECW on Sci Fi, John Morrison & Chavo Guerrero teamed up against CM Punk & Tommy Dreamer in a tag match that was interrupted in a Big way.
As previously reported, Jonathan Coachman has yet to sign a contract with ESPN, but is hopeful a deal can be completed soon. In the meantime, Coachman has had talks with MSG network about working full-time with them, but most are expecting him to end up with ESPN. His WWE contract expires in August, and he still on good terms with them, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. No one expects him to return to WWE, so its possible WWE could release him early to sign with ESPN or MSG.
Former WWE Diva Kristal Marshall, 24, is due to give birth soon. She is expecting a child with boyfriend Bobby Lashley in the near future. That's one of the reasons Lashley isn't making any long-term commitments at the moment because it would put him on the road.
Breaking news: William Regal suspended for 60 days
WWE announced today that William Regal has been suspensed 60 days for his second Wellness Policy violation. Regal was "fired" from his General Manager position on Raw last night.
Jeff Hardy vs. Umaga (Double Countout) Beth Phoenix def. Maria Batista def, Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho (Winner faces Shawn Michaels at One Night Stand) Mr. Kennedy def. William Regal (Loser Gets Fired No Disqualification Match) Randy Orton & JBL def. WWE Champion Triple H & John Cena
KANSAS CITY, Mo. On a night when the face of One Night Stand took shape with numerous blockbuster matches added to the Extreme Rules pay-per-view including a Last Man Standing WWE Championship Match King of the Ring and General Manager William Regal found himself out of a job.
In the Raw main event, Regals final decree as General Manager played out well for Randy Orton & JBL, who defeated The Game & John Cena in a tag team battle, ensuring they would get their desired rematches at One Night Stand with extreme stipulations of their choosing. JBL informed Cena that they would do battle in the gruesome First Blood Match (Read full story), while Randy Orton told WWE Champion Triple H that the title would be up for grabs in a Last Man Standing Match the same contest Orton prevailed in over The Game at No Mercy in October. (Read full story)
After announcing that WWE Champion Triple H would team with John Cena to take on Randy Orton & JBL in the main event to determine their One Night Stand fate, the Raw General Manager was interrupted by Mr. Kennedy. The brash Superstar has shown little respect for Regals tyrannical rule over Raw for the past few weeks, and Kennedy once again challenged the GMs authority Monday night.
William Regal besmirched Kennedys challenge, and was going to wield more of his power, until Mr. McMahon made his way to the ring. The Chairman made it clear to Regal and our fans that the GM had run wild with power. Sending a message of his own and showing everyone where the true power lies, Mr. McMahon put Regal into the Loser Gets Fired No Disqualification Match. Kennedy defeated Regal, unseating the iron-fisted ruler and opening the door for a new regime at Raws helm. As Regal tried to talk to Mr. McMahon about what had transpired, irony befriended the Brit as he ran into former Assistant General Manager of SmackDown Theodore Long, who quit his job just days earlier. Regal had already crossed paths earlier in the night in his former office with the "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, who had business with The Chairman.
Stretch it out Batista has vowed to hurt Shawn Michaels the next time the two come face-to-face, and The Animal moved one step closer when he defeated Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho on Raw. Batista earned the right to fight HBK in a Stretcher Match at One Night Stand a night he hopes to fulfill his promises of pain to Michaels. Will The Animal finally find retribution against Shawn Michaels or will HBK find a way to win once more? Read the full story
Hurtin Hardy Since his surprise return last week on Raw, Jeff Hardy has been intent on proving himself in the ring, focusing his energy on climbing back to the top of WWE. On Raw, Hardy faced Umaga, the man he defeated in his return, but there was no victory for Hardy this week, just punishment. The Samoan Bulldozer took the fight to the outside of the ring, where he devastated Jeff with a sidewalk slam. Moments after the match, it was announced that these two rivals would go head-to-head in a Falls Count Anywhere Match at One Night Stand. Read the full story...
Unfinished business After her unsuccessful attempt to recapture the Womens Championship at Judgment Day, Beth Phoenix arrived on Raw looking to reestablish her dominance in the womens division. Marias recent in-ring improvement was no match for the power of The Glamazon, who dominated Maria en route to victory. Phoenixs former friend, Melina, who had been sitting at ringside doing commentary, rushed up the ramp after the match looking to settle the score, before being separated by WWE officials, as the rivalry between the two heats up. What is next as Beth continues to hunt the gold, while Melina hunts her?
Speaking of the gold, Womens Champion Mickie James may not know what is next, but Katie Lea Burchill let Mickie know she, too, had title aspirations. Burchill told James that she will one day be champion. The British Diva then accused Mickie James of using her friendship with John Cena to make her way to the top. Are Mickie James golden days numbered?
Santino is the pits While our fans looked forward to seeing WWE Hall of Famer Rowdy Roddy Piper host Pipers Pit, Santino Marella furthered his rivalry with Hot Rod when he mocked the legendary sports-entertainer and the famed Pit. After Piper paid a special visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live last week to prevent Santino from assaulting Cousin Sal, Marella looked to embarrass both men in return. Instead, Cousin Sal and Piper turned the tables, leaving Santino covered in cake. Santino then challenged Cousin Sal to a match, which was instantly accepted by Roddy Piper on Sals behalf.
