    WWE Raw Results - October 25, 2010
Posted by Steve Carrier on 10/25/2010 at 08:50 PM

    - Tonight's WWE RAW kicks off with the usual opening RAW video. We're live from the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin as Michael Cole welcomes us to a sold out RAW.

    - We go to the ring where Nexus makes their way out. One-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions John Cena is dragging behind everyone else, taking his time getting to the ring. David Otunga proudly displays his title belt. Wade Barrett stops and stares at Cena, who distances himself from the rest of the group in the ring. The crowd starts chanting for Cena as Barrett prepares to speak.

Barrett tells everyone to simmer down as he would like to introduce the most dominant group in WWE's history - The Nexus. Barrett introduces Otunga, Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel and points to Cena, telling him to get in line with the group. Barrett introduces Cena next. Cena tells Barrett he can't see him, right in his face. Barrett says they did the unthinkable last night, talking about the burial of The Undertaker. Barrett says it's none of our business why they helped Kane. Barrett says they had their own reasons for helping Kane. Barrett says later, he beat Randy Orton. Barrett tells Cena to explain to the fans what happened. Cena says Barrett was about to get beat down by Orton. Cena says he interfered, got Orton disqualified and Barrett won the match. Cena congratulates Barrett.

Barrett says he was about to become the new WWE Champion when Cena interfered and put his hands on him. Barrett talks about Cena handing Orton the WWE Title next and getting laid out by an RKO. Cena explains that Barrett said he would fire him if he didn't win the match. Barrett won the match, so he's not fired. The e-mail alert goes off and Cole steps up to the podium. It's announced that Barrett is entitled a WWE Title shot since he technically won last night but the match needs a special referee. It will be Randy Orton vs. any member of Nexus tonight. The winner gets to choose the special referee. Barrett sizes up Nexus and picks Cena as Orton's opponent for tonight. Otunga takes the mic and says there is some unfinished business with Cena. Otunga talks about Cena laying him out after they won the belts last night. Otunga says it's clear Cena was against him last night and Cena needs to pay for what he did.

Barrett says Cena and Otunga can't co-exist so we're having a tag title match right now. It will be Cena and Otunga vs. Gabriel and Slater.

WWE Tag Team Title Match: Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel vs. David Otunga and John Cena

The crowd gets quiet at the news as a referee comes out. Cena and Slater start the match off but Barrett interrupts them. Barrett says Nexus doesn't fight among itself so someone has to do the right thing for the good of Nexus. Someone has to lay down in the middle of the ring. Barrett says that person is David Otunga. Otunga argues with Barrett. Barrett gets in Otunga's face and orders him to lay down. Otunga continues to argue. Finally, Otunga lays down in the middle of the ring and Slater pins him for the win and the gold.

    Divas Title Renamed

WWE has ceased referencing the Divas Championship as the "Unified Divas Championship." The championship went under the latter name after Michelle McCool won a Title Unification Match at Night of Champions to "unify" both the WWE Divas and Women's Titles.

    Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker

To follow up on the news that WWE has contacted Brock Lesnar about wrestling The Undertaker at WrestleMania 27, the latest is that most people in the company knew nothing about it until this weekend. As you can imagine, Brock Lesnar's getting losing the UFC Heavyweight title last night and having a face-to-face encounter with The Undertaker is a big topic of discussion backstage at Bragging Rights.

At this point, Brock Lesnar's future is unclear. His next opponent is rumored to be Frank Mir in what would be their third showdown, with each man holding a victory over the other.

Lesnar received several stitches in this face following his fight with Cain Velasquez and said he did not attend the post-fight press conference because he wanted Velasquez to get the spotlight.

Early indications are that UFC 121 had a tremendous amount of buys, with some predictions saying it could be the second most purchased UFC PPV of all time. Brock Lesnar is a huge draw and the belief is that Cain Velasquez brought in a lot of Mexican American viewers. New UFC Heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez will be on comedian George Lopez' show "Lopez Tonight" on TBS Monday night.

Had wwe intresse in team 3D?

Team 3D signed new multi-year deals with TNA Wrestling last week. They were expected to remain with the company, but there was communication between WWE & Team 3D about them coming in to revitalize their tag team division.

There was also an interest in WWE signing Brother Ray as a producer down the line. There was also talk about how WWE could use Team 3D's wrestling academy in Florida to help train some of the newer developmental talents.

In the end, they both wound up re-signing with TNA. The travel schedule in TNA also played a role in their decision to sign with TNA.

Heyman reveals who he wanted to bring into TNA

Heyman reveals who he wanted to bring into TNA
Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 10/24/2010 at 02:39 PM

    Credit: prowrestling.net

Any negotiations between Paul Heyman and TNA are now over after Dixie Carter refused to grant Heyman's demands.

Heyman ultimately wanted the power to make talent changes without her request, as well as calling for roughly $1 million in talent cuts, and $200,000 in indy/international talent additions. As part of his office team, Heyman also wanted to bring in former WWE creative team member Dave Lagana and Dragon Gate USA booker Gabe Sapolsky.

Heyman was also frustrated that his job description wasn't laid out in specific terms. He is unlikely to work with TNA in the future, even if offered the deal he was previously seeking, insisting he has moved on.

    Undertaker Taking Time Off?

    - The Wrestling Observer reports that if The Undertaker loses the Buried Alive match at Sunday's Bragging Rights, it is very likely that he will be taking time off for shoulder surgery. Taker is still suffering from a number of injury problems but his shoulder is the main problem right now and he needs surgery on it.

Big Show, Rey Mysterio & Kofi Kingston def. The Miz, Sheamus & Ezekiel Jackson
    Jack Swagger def. Santino Marella
Alberto Del Rio def. John Morrison

Kelly Kelly & Natalya def. Layla & Michelle McCool
WWE Champion Randy Orton def. World Heavyweight Champion Kane in a Non-Title Match

EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada – Just like on Monday’s Raw, SmackDown prevailed when both brands went to war. But in a shocking end to the main event – in which WWE Champion Randy Orton defeated World Heavyweight Kane to get a win for Raw – The Undertaker emerged through the bottom of the ring and pulled "The Devil's Favorite Demon" below.

WWE Champion Randy Orton def. World Heavyweight Champion Kane (WATCH | PHOTOS)
WWE Champion Randy Orton made a rare trip to SmackDown to take on World Heavyweight Champion Kane. With major matches looming at WWE Bragging Rights for both Superstars, it was WWE’s Apex Predator who prevailed after a distraction from an unseen Undertaker.

Following a brief moment of darkness in the arena, Orton struck with a blistering RKO for the win. After the loss, a rattled Kane searched about for his brother. Then, The Deadman finally revealed his presence by emerging right through the bottom of the ring to grab hold of The Big Red Monster! With Kane grasping at the tattered mat, The Demon of Death Valley pulled his brother below the ring. Is it an ominous sign of things to come in their Buried Alive Match at WWE Bragging Rights? (Preview)

Kelly Kelly & Natalya def. The self-professed "Co-Divas Champions" Layla & Michelle McCool (WATCH | PHOTOS)
In a match featuring Lay-Cool mocking members of the legendary Hart family, Natalya served up some retribution by making self-professed "Co-Divas Champion" Layla submit to the Sharpshooter. At WWE Bragging Rights, Layla will be the one to defend the Divas Championship against Natalya. Who will prevail when the Divas Title is at stake? (Preview)

Edge def. CM Punk by Disqualification (WATCH | PHOTOS)
In a match that Edge called for against CM Punk, mayhem ensued when members of Team Raw interfered. Although the match was ruled an immediate disqualification win for Edge, it was far from over. Chaos reigned as Superstars from both brands tangled with one another. In the end, the blue brand stood tall after The Ultimate Opportunist Speared Punk. Which brand will reign supreme at WWE Bragging Rights? (Preview)

Alberto Del Rio def. John Morrison (WATCH | PHOTOS)
After driving himself to the ring in a Mercedes, Alberto Del Rio went to work against John Morrison, who requested the bout at the start of the night. Despite picking his opponent, The Monday Night Delight failed to win on a Friday, after he was forced to submit to Del Rio’s highly-effective cross armbreaker.

Jack Swagger def. Santino Marella (WATCH | PHOTOS)
In a match called for by Jack Swagger, it was mascot mayhem when Santino Marella struck the "Swagger Soaring Eagle" with his deadly "cobra" strike. Next, Hornswoggle capitalized and hit the bird with a splash from atop the ring steps. Finally, The All-American American put an end to the hijinks when he forced Marella to tap out of his painful ankle lock.

Big Show, Rey Mysterio & Kofi Kingston def. The Miz, Sheamus & Ezekiel Jackson (WATCH | PHOTOS)
The night kicked off with members of Raw and SmackDown issuing challenges to each other – as well as a major tone-setting win for the blue brand.

After Big Show downed The Miz with a brutal chokeslam in the ensuing Six-Man Tag Team Match, Rey Mysterio finished off the Team Raw captain with a stunning splash from atop the shoulders of The World’s Largest Athlete. SmackDown is looking to carry the momentum forward to WWE Bragging Rights.

    Heat on a New Diva?

    - There is apparently heat on new WWE developmental Diva Vicky Skeeles from the UK. The problems stem from some racy photos of her that came out online shortly after it was revealed that WWE had signed her to a developmental deal.

Klik op de afbeelding om de link te volgen

-From the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida!
-Mike Tenay and Taz are our hosts.

-We get highlights of Hogan and Bischoff's takeover of TNA, the formation of IMMORTAL and FOURTUNE joining them.

-Mr. Anderson makes his way to the ring. His arm is in a sling, due to last week's attack by Jeff Hardy. The assholes are happy to see him. He is here to beg Jeff Hardy to being his tiny testicles out of Hogan's purse, sack them up, put his panties on and get his ass to the ring, right now. RVD makes HIS way to the ring now, he's no Jeff Hardy. I know Jeff Hardy, and he's no Jeff Hardy. RVD asks if he feels screwed, and then says Anderson can wait in line since he had a title taken from him he didn't lose. Jeff appears on the screen and talks forgiveness and that we all do things wrong. He did both of them wrong. He ordered Abyss to attack RVD and beat Anderson at his own game. He asks them to forgive him, please. ERIC BISCHOFF now makes HIS way out. Bischoff says that he is glad to see them. He has an invitation to join everyone for Reaction, where he showcases how he and Hulk took over TNA. He is glad to see Anderson, and he says he feels like his injury was his fault. He didn't give Anderson the chance to become champion months ago when he first saw potential in him. he says he is sorry, and will give Anderson a match with Kazarian, an X-Division match, an ULTIMATE X MATCH. All he has to do is survive, and grab the X. Well that hardly seems fair. He then tells RVD that people want to be a part of Immortal, everyone is calling him. Tonight RVD tags up with a guy he thinks is a friend, Sabu, as they face Beer Money.

-Mickie James debuts in the ring tonight.

-We see the new TMZ footage of Cookie on TMZ, talking about JWoWW.

-RVD goes to the EV2.0 locker room and asks who has been talking to Bischoff. They tell him to smoke another bowl and they have to be separated. Dreamer says not to let Bischoff get in his head.

-We get highlights of JWoWW's TNA appearance last week, including some words from JWoWW and the new TMZ footage.

Amazing Red vs. Robbie E. w/Cookie

     his book, to SPANKY.

-Foutune is backstage, joking about Beer Money's match with RVD and Sabu. Storm calls RVD "STD," and says they are the greatest. Kaz then mocks Anderson due to his hurt arm, and AJ makes fun of the Pope. AJ accepts his challenge for a street fight, for the TV Title. They have Flair get the title for AJ, and he gets ICED. Bischoff comes in and says that in fairness to Pope, if any one in Fourtune gets involved, AJ will be stripped of the title. AJ is not happy.

-The Beautiful People do their makeup, and Miss Tessmacher is there. She says she needs help learning to wrestle and will do anything frothier help. Velvet says KISS MY ASS b---h. Lacy says she deserves a second chance. KATIE LEA appears, and introduces herself to Angelina. She is now known as Winter, and is an admirer of Angelina and has waited a long time to meet her. She disappears before Velvet can see her.

-Back from commercial for the TV Title match.

TV TITLE Street Fight: AJ Styles © vs. The Pope D'Angelo Dinero
Pope goes old school with the slacks, no gear for the street fight. Hogan and Bischoff took away his money drop, assholes. AJ is out in jeans and a t-shirt, STREET FIGHT GEAR~! Pope tapes up his hands as AJ calls him up the ramp Pope chases and here we go! They brawl on the stage, and Pope tries to use the TV Title, AJ ducks and connects with chops. Pope slams AJ to the steps, and then catapults him into the steel post. Rights by Pope and then chokes out AJ with the tape. Into the ring they go, rights by AJ. LOW BLOW by AJ and Pope is down. Pope says he can go alone or join the team. Joe says he got NO ONES back. Pope says that this is bigger than both of them.

-Bischoff talks to Hulk on the phone, and then praises Flair. They are happy.

-Tenay and Taz talk about Bischoff and Flair being full of themselves.

-We get a Team 3D video package, highlighting their announcement at Bound for Glory and their last match against the Motor City Machineguns.

-We see Sabin throwing football backstage and Generation Me are there to cause trouble. Velvet Sky was there, being sexy as hell.

-Next is a video of Jarrett talking about Angle on Reaction last week and the brawl that they had. Joe then calls Jarrett stupid, and says he should have finished him when he had the chance. He's still here MURDERING FOOLS!

-Jarrett walks, and he has regretted what he did last week, it got out of hand. It didn't have to happen and he will apologize to Angle.

-Jeff Jarrett makes his way to the ring to you sold out chants. JJ asks for some quiet, because he came out to publicly apologize to Kurt Angle. He wants to apologize for humiliating Angle in front of the world. Jarrett sucks chants. If Kurt was here in the ring, he would tell him how much he deeply regrets…NOT kicking his ass more than he did. THE KING is back on top of his mountain once again. And Kurt, you are gone from TNA forever. And just like many before and many to come, he made him and he broke him. Out of the goodness of his heart, he gave Angle a job when no one wanted him. he took Angle's dignity, pride, honor and your precious career. Samoa Joe makes HIS way out to the ring to MURDER A FOOL! Security attacks, JJ hits the floor to join in and they try to handcuff him. They do and JJ beats him down, but Joe is cuffed in front and starts to choke out Angle. Security jump sin and they go to the stage and JJ tosses him over the side. Tenay asks WHAT THE HELL has gotten into Jarrett. Tenay says he heard eight years of lets be a team and other pep talks, and now JJ turned his backs on all of TNA. JJ leaves and takes a look at Joe's carcass. He says Joe needs some help in a very non-caring way.

-Tenay runs down what just happened in his "I do not approve" voice. Taz says Tenay got a bit emotional with Jarrett.

HUGE Update - Matt Hardy's Release + TNA Debut Plans

World Wrestling Entertainment officials had discussed releasing Matt Hardy from his contract weeks before it was officially granted last Friday. There were some in WWE who wanted Hardy gone as soon as he requested his walking papers, but the key factor preventing organization officials from letting him go was the belief that it would keep Jeff Hardy in TNA Wrestling longer than his current deal calls for. The argument was that with Linda McMahon nearing the end of her Senate campaign, WWE shouldn't employ a wrestler doing anything he could to get fired.

Those close to Hardy say he is definitely headed to TNA Wrestling. While those affiliated with the Orlando based organization have not been directly told he is coming in, most everyone broached on the subject expects it to occur.

There has already been discussion within TNA Wrestling of programming a Hardys vs. Beer Money, Inc. feud with the hope that it would elevate Robert Roode and James Storm. It is said that both Hardy brothers are very much aware of this possible scenario.

Meanwhile, Hardy's numerous attention seeking videos, such as a recent entry of him eating lunch with an unmasked Rey Mysterio, have not endeared him to the TNA locker room. Most in the TNA locker room weren't defending his behavior on the YouTube clips he put out and that is coming from people who were good friends with him back in their days with WWE.

It isn't known if Hardy is under the usual 90-day no compete clause following his release from WWE last Friday. So whether he is or not (he would be available in December if he is under the 90 days), the belief is that he is already TNA bound as noted above and it was a hot topic at the TNA house show events last week in Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois.

    More as we get it.
