        * Rey Mysterio & Kane def. United States Champion MVP & Big Daddy V
        * Jamie Noble def. Chuck Palumbo
        * World Heavyweight Champion Batista vs. Edge (No Contest)

ROANOKE, Va. – It turns out that all Rey Mysterio & Kane needed was a little help from an associate – in this case, each other – to take down the threat of MVP & Big Daddy V on Friday night.

Last week on SmackDown, Mysterio fell to MVP in a non-title match, thanks to the United States Champion’s use of the top rope. As for Kane, it was an appearance by Mark Henry that cost him an Extreme Rules Match against Big Daddy V Tuesday night on ECW. Having presumably seen what had happened to the other, both Mysterio & Kane certainly had reason to watch each other’s backs once their huge tag team opportunity rolled around this week.

The United States Champion and his 500-pound partner looked downright dominant at times, but in the end, the Master of the 619 and the Big Red Monster got the duke. With the two monsters occupying each other outside the ring, Mysterio flattened MVP with a 619 and springboard splash to claim the victory. (WATCH)

Rey’s budding rivalry with the Ballin’ Superstar seems to have picked up a big head of steam. With Friday’s pinfall over MVP, is an opportunity at the United States Championship potentially in Rey’s future?
Fool me once, shame on you…

Jamie Noble also seems to be on a roll, as for the second straight week, he scored a pinfall victory over Chuck Palumbo. Once again, Noble tried to use his Southern charm on Michelle McCool earlier in the night. This time, however, he wasn’t just blown off by the beautiful blonde; Noble was also accosted by Palumbo, who brushed aside last week’s match as a “fluke” in Noble’s favor.

That may have been an oversight on Palumbo’s part, as the motorcycle enthusiast once again wheeled home with the loser’s share of the purse this week. Just like in their previous encounter, Noble was able to take advantage of one tiny mistake in the corner of the ring; when Chuck got hung up after missing a kick, Noble rolled him up for the 1-2-3. (WATCH)
    Leprechaun crosses the tracks

While it’s unclear whether Belfast, Northern Ireland or the Other Side of the Tracks is a tougher neighborhood, our fans got a glimpse of resolution when Finlay & Hornswoggle took on Deuce & Domino. Michael Cole & JBL wondered on commentary whether or not having the littlest McMahon as his partner made Finlay an underdog against the former WWE Tag Team Champions – but as they have quite often in the past, the Irishmen proved that they make one dangerous team.

Late in the bout, things looked bleak for Hornswoggle when Deuce & Domino ditched Finlay and cornered the little man. But when they attempted to whip the pint-sized prankster with their belts, the referee confiscated the leather lashers. That allowed Finlay to grab his shillelagh, and with the ref’s back turned, the ornery Irishman gave Deuce a crack in his own mouth with the wooden weapon. One Tadpole Splash later, Finlay & Hornswoggle were victorious.

After witnessing his son’s victory, WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon met with Ranjin Singh later in the night. After making Singh act out some impressions – including one of Hornswoggle and one of Singh’s own client, The Great Khali – the Chairman and the translator made sure that Khali was ready for his big match with Finlay at Armageddon.
You made your bed, now lie in it

ECW Champion CM Punk made another appearance on Friday Night SmackDown, battling Kenny Dykstra in a non-title match. Punk gutted out a tough victory when these two met in the Land of the Extreme two weeks ago, but the self-proclaimed “future Hall of Famer” hoped things would be different on his home turf.

The Straightedge Superstar had other plans, however. Despite putting up a valiant effort, Dykstra hit another speed bump on road to the Hall of Fame; this time, he got to Go to Sleep in his own bed – or ring, as it were – as the ECW Champion made it 2-for-2 against the 21-year-old.
    Three-dogged night

Thanks to his main squeeze, General Manager Vickie Guerrero, Edge got his chance to regain the World Heavyweight Championship from Batista in SmackDown’s much-anticipated main event. The Rated-R Superstar dedicated the match to Vickie – who is still recuperating from Undertaker’s attack the previous week – but someone else would later have a dedication of their own for Edge.

Just when Batista looked like he was ready to finally beat Edge in a championship match for the first time this year, Undertaker returned a favor to the Rated-R Superstar by interrupting the match. Edge felt Batista’s spear, but when the Rated-R Superstar bailed out of the ring, The Phenom lashed out at the closest Superstar he could find, dropping Batista with a Phenom-enal chokeslam. But when all was said and done, a returning Theodore Long was the one to drop the biggest bombshell. Read more on the story…

The final countdown before Sunday’s Turning Point Pay-Per-View
    By Bill Banks

There are several news items to report form Thursday’s “iMPACT!” broadcast on SpikeTV as TNA Wrestling counts down the hours until Sunday’s huge “Turning Point” Pay-Per-View event!

    - New matches have been added to this Sunday’s Pay-Per-View event, as it will be Booker T and Kaz joining forces to take on Christian Cage and Robert Roode, Eric Young will battle “Cowboy” James Storm, plus Velvet Sky and Angelina Love taking on ODB and Roxxi Laveaux!

    - TNA’s latest acquisition, Booker T (joined by his lovely wife Sharmell) spoke out for the first time since joining Total Nonstop Action. Booker talked about wanting to face the best in TNA and his goal to become the TNA World Heavyweight Champion. However, Robert Roode came out to vent his anger at Booker T, claiming no one was going to take his spotlight. Roode challenged Booker to battle him later that night, which Booker T won following his Axe Kick finisher. After the bout, Christian Cage hit the ring and joined Roode in a beatdown of Booker until Kaz came out to even the sides! Booker T and Kaz will team up this Sunday night on Pay-Per-View to face Christian Cage and Robert Roode.

    - The team of TNA Women’s Champion Gail Kim and Eric Young defeated Christy Hemme and Jimmy Rave. After the bout, James Storm hit the ring with plenty of beer and demanded Eric give him a chance to win back his title belt in another drinking contest. Young won again, leading Storm to attack EY and bloody him with a steel chair! As a result, Young will face Storm this Sunday on Pay-Per-View.

    - In the main event of Thursday’s “iMPACT!”, Scott Steiner, Kaz, Abyss and Samoa Joe defeated TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle, Christian Cage, AJ Styles and Tomko when Styles accidentally cost Cage the bout against Joe! As the broadcast went off the air, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash came out to the entrance ramp to applaud Joe for defeating the Angle Alliance in the bout.

The complete lineup for Sunday’s Pay-Per-View is below…

SIX MAN TAG TEAM MAIN EVENT:
Samoa Joe, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash vs. TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle and TNA World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Tomko

    Kelly Kelly def. Layla
John Morrison & The Miz def. Jesse & Festus (non-title)
    Shelton Benjamin def. Shannon Moore
Big Daddy V def. Kane (Extreme Rules Match)

ROANOKE, Va. – ECW’s newest Superstar, Shelton Benjamin, continued to make his mark in the Land of Extreme on Tuesday night. After another introduction by Elijah Burke, Benjamin emerged with a whole new outlook, proclaiming he’s unstoppable.

“The bar has been raised. That means there is danger at the door. That means it’s only a matter of time before Shelton Benjamin is ECW Champion,” Benjamin said. “I am the gold standard, and quite frankly, there is no one here that can stop me. And just like the lyrics in the beginning of my song says, ‘Ain’t no stopping me now!’ ”

Shelton, a three-time Intercontinental Champion, defeated SmackDown’s Shannon Moore on Tuesday night. After beating Tommy Dreamer last week, Benjamin is undefeated as an ECW Superstar. (WATCH)

The beauties were in action on ECW this week, as Kelly Kelly and Layla went one-on-one. This week, ECW’s blonde bombshell ruled the Divas' ring and defeated her former friend, while her biggest cheerleader, Balls Mahoney, looked on. The icing on Kelly Kelly’s victory cake? That would be her sexy pictorial in the new WWE Magazine.

Also on Tuesday night, SmackDown’s Jesse & Festus faced WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison and The Miz in a non-title match. The Tag Champs continued their winning streak with a controversial win, but Jesse & Festus look like serious competition for Morrison & The Miz.

The beasts shook the ECW ring this week, when Kane and Big Daddy V clashed again under Extreme Rules. SmackDown’s Mark Henry made a surprise appearance. (WATCH) Read more on this story…

Don’t forget – ECW on Sci Fi airs on a special night next week, Thursday at 10/9 CT. Check out ECW in its entirety every week on WWE.com. The X-Stream will air this Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET. Don't forget, next week it will air on a special day – Friday, at 4 p.m. ET on WWE.com.

    Chris Jericho def. Santino Marella
    Mr. Kennedy def. Brian Kendrick
    Mickie James def. Melina
    Ric Flair def. Randy Orton

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Mr. Kennedy seemed to be trying out for an infomercial tonight. But the only thing he was pedaling was a series of insults to Shawn Michaels.

The loudmouth from Green Bay, Wis. dissed a bunch of HBK’s merchandise, including his new DVD, Heartbreak & Triumph. The verbal slap to Michaels’ face was only the latest putdown from Mr. Kennedy, who feels that HBK doesn’t deserve any more WWE Championship opportunities. He announced that he’ll have the opportunity to make his case when he faces off against HBK at Armageddon.  Read the full preview… | Photos

However, before Armageddon, Kennedy further bolstered his argument when he overpowered high-flyer Brian Kendrick in a singles competition.

    In other Raw action:

    Eight Is Enough
A week after being defeated by World Tag Team Champions Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch, Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes redeemed themselves in an Eight-Man Tag Team Match. The reluctant partners teamed with Super Crazy & “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan to defeat Cade & Murdoch and The Highlanders.  Photos

    The Glamazon Awaits
After defeating Melina, Mickie James continued to ride the wave of momentum she’s been on the past several weeks, right into a title opportunity at Armageddon against Women’s Champion, Beth Phoenix.  Photos

    Trading Places
Jeff Hardy & Triple H had really found their groove, teaming up to take down the dreaded duo of Umaga & Snitsky. Unfortunately, Raw GM William Regal pulled the rug out from under them when he announced that Hardy would be pitted against The Game in a match at Armageddon.  Story | Watch | Photos

    Rebuilding Walls
In his first match in more than two years, Chris Jericho showed that he’s still a force to be reckoned with. After suffering through a tirade by Santino Marella, Jericho took the fight to the cocky Italian, pinned him and then invited Jerry “The King” Lawler to the ring, where the Raw announcer got in a few licks of his own. Jericho also had a few words for WWE Champion Randy Orton.  Story | Watch | Photos

    Legend of the Fall
After receiving a “win-or-retire” ultimatum from Mr. McMahon, the legendary Ric Flair laid it all on the line against the Legend Killer, Randy Orton. After a fierce battle, in which the WWE Champion appeared on the verge of prevailing, Flair took advantage of a distraction to emerge with the victory and the heart of his career still beating.

(novum/lb)

TNA biedt eenjarig contract an STING

    Source: PWInsider.com

TNA Wrestling has offered Sting a contract extension. There is no word if he has accepted the deal.

Sting's current contract expires at the end of 2007. He will be taking a break from the company until January to spend time with his family.

Sting's original plan was to retire at the end of 2007, but TNA would like to sign him for one more year. If Sting does return, 2008 is expected to be his final year in the business.

TAMPA, Fla. – The day after Thanksgiving is the busiest retail shopping day of the year, earning it the nickname “Black Friday.” On SmackDown, however, Black Friday took on a new meaning, as Superstars from the Land of the Extreme made their presence felt against the Blue Crew.

Second verse, same as the first
The monstrous rivalry between Kane and Big Daddy V exploded once again on SmackDown, as the two monsters met in singles action. Kane was looking for payback for ECW on Sci Fi, when he defeated Big Daddy V & Matt Striker in a Handicap Match.

Kane was victorious again on SmackDown, this time by disqualification. As the Big Red Monster was seemingly on the road to victory, Striker got involved with a steel chair – getting his protégé disqualified in the process. However, Kane thwarted Striker’s attempted chicanery, clobbering him with a clothesline before smashing the chair across Big Daddy V’s ample back. (WATCH)

    Irish eyes are crying
As another act of “tough love,” Mr. McMahon put son Hornswoggle into a match with another massive opponent – this time, the World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry. Finlay, however, had a problem with that, telling McMahon that this wasn’t part of their “deal.” Instead, the WWE Chairman set up a Handicap Match – Finlay & Hornswoggle vs. Henry. Thanks to a little help from their trusty shillelaghs, the Irish duo picked up the victory. After the bout, however, Finlay’s past of helping Hornswoggle finally caught up with him. As The Great Khali – who the ornery Irishman assaulted with a shillelagh during his Survivor Series Match with the lil’ leprechaun – approached ringside, the World’s Strongest Man assaulted Finlay from behind. Khali then added a devastating choke bomb to the Irishman’s misery, as poor, frightened Hornswoggle could only look on in horror from the corner. (WATCH)

    A night of seconds
WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison made the second defense of their newly won gold, taking on The Major Brothers. Brett & Brian Major had hoped their second WWE Tag Team Title Match would end better than the first, but unfortunately, once again, they came up just short. The brothers from Long Island fought valiantly, though, even with Brett Major busted wide open by John Morrison. Miz & Morrison seemed to show no ill effects from being opponents at Survivor Series, retaining their gold after Miz gave Brian Major a Reality Check.

    Engine failure
Jamie Noble may have put his foot in his mouth once again on SmackDown, but this time, he ended up getting the last laugh. Prior to Noble’s match with Chuck Palumbo, Michelle McCool caught him straddling Palumbo’s chopper. Noble tried to sweet talk the beautiful blond Diva, but his advances were quickly spurned. No matter for Noble, who survived a tough match and pulled out a surprising victory, using the motorcycle enthusiast’s size against him to gain the pinfall with a roll-up.

Going 2-for-2 in the Sunshine State
After being on the winning side of a 10-Divas Tag Team Match at Survivor Series, Torrie Wilson once again found the winner’s circle on SmackDown. This time, the blond bombshell from Boise showed off her ring prowess in solo action against Victoria, one of the Divas on the losing end at Survivor Series. Moments after escaping Victoria’s dreaded Widow’s Peak, Torrie dropped her opponent with a neckbreaker to seal the victory.

The Champ is still here … sort of
Jesse & Festus also made a SmackDown appearance, but not in the ring. Instead, they came as fans … well, fans and perhaps merchandisers, as Jesse extolled the virtues of the new John Cena – My Life DVD with his big buddy Festus in tow – dressed to the nines in Cena gear, of course. Unfortunately, their time was cut short thanks to Festus’ insistence of another DVD viewing, but before leaving, the burly country boy made it known that if you don’t follow The Champ’s virtues of hustle, loyalty and respect, then perhaps you can’t see him. (WATCH)

    Rated “T” for Tombstone
Edge said that SmackDown would be where he answered all the questions about why he screwed Undertaker. It was learned that Edge’s actions were the culmination of four months of planning with “the love of his life,” Acting SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero. Once the two revealed they were in cahoots, Vickie named Edge the new No. 1 Contender to the World Heavyweight Championship, granting him a match against Batista next week. But when The Animal was the guest on the return edition of The Cutting Edge, all Hell broke loose. The angry champion manhandled the smitten Rated-R Superstar, while Undertaker made his presence felt by giving Edge’s main squeeze a taste of Tombstone. Read the whole story…

    Most valuable presentation
United States Champion MVP was primed for a big night, as JBL was set to award him the first-ever “United States Championship Championship Ring” on behalf of the United Nations. That wouldn’t be the only ring MVP got a feel for on this night, however; after listening to the Ballin’ Superstar run down Matt Hardy, Rey Mysterio had enough and challenged MVP to a non-title match. Rey nearly was able to pull off the victory, but a little help from one of the U.S. Champion’s true friends – the top rope – helped Porter pick up a victory in his home state. HULK HOGAN GAAT SCHEIDEN

        * ECW Champion CM Punk def. Kenny Dykstra
        * Shelton Benjamin def. Tommy Dreamer
        * Jesse & Festus def. Deuce & Domino
        * Kevin Thorn def. Nunzio
        * Kane def. Big Daddy V & Matt Striker (Handicap Match)

TAMPA, Fla. - Kane overcame the odds on ECW on Sci Fi, earning a win in his Handicap Match against Big Daddy V & Matt Striker. But after the bell, the duo stuffed him like a turkey and ended the night on top of the world. (WATCH) Read more on this story…

Earlier in the evening, our fans received an early present for the holidays. Elijah Burke ushered in Shelton Benjamin as ECW’s newest roster addition. It didn’t take long for the former Raw Superstar to make an impact. He defeated ECW Original Tommy Dreamer, pleasing the brand's self-proclaimed Guiding Light. Burke announced he once led the charge to change the Land of the Extreme, claiming he is now doing it again.

If a new Superstar wasn’t enough for our fans to kick off the holiday season, a scorching hot fight between Kelly Kelly and Layla certainly was. Layla addressed the Tampa, Fla., audience, boasting that she is better than Kelly in every way possible. She also made sure to give thanks for The Miz and his decision to arrange a catfight between the two Divas next week. Before Layla could finish, Kelly attacked her and started a food fight that would make any Thanksgiving dinner fail in comparison. (WATCH)

ECW Champion CM Punk kicked off ECW on Sci Fi, riding his white hot winning streak for another night. The match also displayed the continuance of the agreement between ECW General Manager Armando Estrada and SmackDown Acting General Manager Vickie Guerrero.

In other Tuesday night action, Kevin Thorn returned with his new look to ECW on Sci Fi, earning a convincing win against Nunzio. WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz also offered their commentary while Jesse & Festus bested Deuce & Domino.

Don’t miss the next meeting between Kelly and Layla, and find out what more will develop with Big Daddy V and Kane in sports-entertainment’s biggest rivalry. Watch ECW on Sci Fi on Tuesday at 10/9 CT.
