Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre, Kane, Matt Hardy, Shelton Benjamin and Dolph Ziggler def. Kofi Kingston, MVP, Christian, Evan Bourne and Jack Swagger (10-Man Tag Team Match)
Women’s Champion Michelle McCool, Divas Champion Maryse, Vickie Guerrero, Layla and Alicia Fox def. Beth Phoenix (Five-on-one Handicap Match)
Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show def. R-Truth (Disqualification)

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Just two days before WrestleMania unleashes itself on the WWE Universe from Phoenix, The Rated-R Superstar answered World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho’s proclamation of victory with an assault that was truly on the Edge. (Full WrestleMania coverage)

Edge confronts World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho two nights before their WrestleMania match(PHOTOS | WATCH)
Not only did Chris Jericho declare that he would retain his World Title against Edge at WrestleMania, but he also promised to end his No. 1 Contender’s career, capitalizing on his adversary’s “inferior DNA” to destroy his Achilles tendon. The Rated-R Superstar answered back with an explosive attack, nearly hitting another Spear on the six-time World Champion before Jericho made his quick retreat.

Will The Ultimate Opportunist walk out of the Grandest Stage of Them All with the World Championship once again around his waist? Or will “the best in the world at what he does” arrange it so he doesn’t walk out at all? (Match preview)

Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre, Kane, Matt Hardy, Shelton Benjamin and Dolph Ziggler def. Kofi Kingston, MVP, Christian, Evan Bourne and Jack Swagger (PHOTOS | WATCH)
With just 48 hours until 10 Money in the Bank Ladder Match combatants risk it all for glory at WrestleMania, they locked horns in a monumental Raw vs. SmackDown 10-Man Tag Team Match. But when bedlam took center stage, Drew McIntyre tagged himself into the action and defeated Christian with the Future Shock.

However, when the “Chosen One” tried to make a statement of superiority by climbing the ladder and grabbing the Money in the Bank briefcase after the bell, his nine WrestleMania opponents returned to the ring, knocking him off the ladder before throwing it down on top of him. Who will climb to ultimate triumph at the Show of Shows? (Match preview)

Women’s Champion Michelle McCool, Divas Champion Maryse, Vickie Guerrero, Layla and Alicia Fox def. Beth Phoenix (PHOTOS | WATCH)
SmackDown Official Consultant Vickie Guerrero used her authority to turn her match with The Glamazon into a five-on-one Handicap Match. Although The Fabulous Firebird held her own against incredible odds, Michelle eventually blasted her with a hard kick to the face, allowing Guerrero to tag in for the pin.

But when Guerrero climbed the ropes to attempt a post-– match frog splash, Mickie James - returning from injury – Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim and Eve all stormed to the ring. The arriving Divas cleaned house until only Beth and Vickie were left. As Vickie tried to escape, The Glamazon pulled off her pants, sending the humiliated former SmackDown General Manager running for cover.

Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show def. R-Truth by disqualification (PHOTOS | WATCH)
When The Miz tried to get involved in the action, John Morrison quickly thwarted his interference. Big Show attempted a chokeslam on Truth, but ended up the recipient of a double-DDT at the hands of his rapping Superstar and the emerging Guru of Greatness. Though this double-team effect gave The World’s Largest Athlete a disqualification victory, both Superstars ended up laid out on the canvas.

Can R-Truth and John Morrison carry their momentum to WrestleMania as they attempt to capture the Unified Tag Team Championships from Big Show and The Miz?

Negative reaction to Eric Young's recent push?
Posted by Mark Virginia on 03/26/2010 at 04:43 PM

According to the Pro Wrestling Torch, there was said to be a collective groan among a large group of wrestlers and TNA personnel watching Impact on the backstage monitor when Eric Young interrupted Rob Van Dam and Jeff Hardy's post-match celebration on Monday. The "unanimous opinion" was that Young killed the moment due to the fact that he's nowhere near the level of Van Dam and Hardy. While everyone describes "EY" as a nice guy, the feeling is he's been given so much television time over the years due to his friendship with the company's power players.

    CM Punk def. JTG
    Rey Mysterio def. Tyson Kidd

With just three days to go before their match at WrestleMania XXVI, both Rey Mysterio and CM Punk were raring to go. But, before The Master of the 619 and the Straight Edge Savior collide on The Grandest Stage of them All, they both had challenges ahead of them on “WWE Superstars.”

Don’t know where to catch “WWE Superstars”? Find WGN America in your area. Can't see “WWE Superstars” on WGN America in your area? Stay with WWE.com for full results, photos and video clips of all the action.

Rey Mysterio def. Tyson Kidd (PHOTOS | WATCH)
There’s a lot on the line for Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania, as the masked Superstar will be forced to join the Straight Edge Society if he loses to CM Punk. Thus, it was important for The Master of the 619 to gain momentum from his match against Tyson Kidd on “WWE Superstars.”

As The Hart Dynasty looked on from ringside, Kidd attempted to use his technical wrestling ability to ground Mysterio. Unable to keep the high-flyer down, however, the Hart Dynasty member even took to the skies himself. Ultimately however, The Ultimate Underdog prevailed, scoring a decisive victory courtesy of the 619.

CM Punk def. JTG (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Like Rey Mysterio, CM Punk appeared on “WWE Superstars” hoping to send a clear message about his commitment to victory at WrestleMania. With the support of the Straight Edge Society, the maniacal Superstar looked to make an example of his opponent, JTG. Despite a valiant effort from the Cryme Tyme member and the massive Shad at ringside, JTG was left on the mat counting sheep after a devastating execution of Punk’s Go-To-Sleep.

An Update On The Condition Of Hernandez

An Update On The Condition Of Hernandez

AN UPDATE ON THE CONDITION OF TNA WRESTLING SUPERSTAR HERNANDEZ

As the world witnessed on Monday night on TNA "iMPACT" on SpikeTV, Hernandez was injured at the hands of "The Blueprint" Matt Morgan when Morgan used his "Carbon Footprint" finishing move on Hernandez against the wrestling ring's steel post, kicking Hernandez in the head and causing an instant blackout.

The match was quickly stopped by the referee, and medical officials immediately placed Hernandez in a protective neck brace, then loaded him onto a stretcher for quick transport to a local Orlando hospital.

TNAwrestling.com has learned that Hernandez was released from the hospital early Thursday morning after a few nights of precautionary observation. He has suffered a herniated disc and cervical damage to his neck. Unfortunately, TNA Wrestling management has informed us that Hernandez is out of action indefinitely. We wish him well in his recovery, and we will continue to update fans on his condition.

The status of the TNA World Tag Team Championship is still to be determined. Matt Morgan currently claims ownership of both titles.

    UITSLAGEN NXT 23 MAART

Darren Young & David Otunga def. Michael Tarver & Daniel Bryan
Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel def. Skip Sheffield & Wade Barrett

SAN JOSE, Calif. – With WrestleMania five days away and the Pros’ Poll in a week, all eight Rookies fought to win the attention of the Pros during week five of WWE NXT.

Darren Young & David Otunga def. Michael Tarver & Daniel Bryan (PHOTOS | WATCH)

With the Straight Edge Society in their corner led by Pro CM Punk, Rookies Darren Young & David Otunga both upped their records to 3-1 on WWE NXT. Thanks to a distraction by Luke Gallows, Rookie Daniel Bryan was left alone in the ring when his partner, Rookie Michael Tarver, didn’t tag into the match, allowing “A-List” Otunga to capitalize on the situation and pin Bryan for the win. Earlier, Bryan showed off his extraordinary arsenal of submission moves on party boy Young, but with the loss, Bryan’s record fell to 0-5. Disappointed Pro Carlito watched as the record of his stunned Rookie, Tarver, dropped to 0-3.

Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel def. Skip Sheffield & Wade Barrett (PHOTOS | WATCH)

The impressive Heath Slater continued his hot streak this week, upping his perfect record to 4-0 after a tag team victory with fellow Rookie Justin Gabriel. Pros Christian and William Regal looked on from ringside during a very physical match between Slater & Gabriel against Rookies Skip Sheffield & Wade Barrett.  While Sheffield was more aggressive than usual, he failed to impress his Pro, Regal. When Barrett distracted Slater, the bareknuckle brawler ended up kicking his own partner in the chest, allowing the One-man Rock Band to get the pin. As Christian celebrated with his Rookie and Gabriel, whose record is now 3-1, Regal was disgusted by Sheffield’s loss and new record of 0-3.

    Next week: Pros’ Poll

The biggest WWE NXT episode to date will air next week! In the Pros’ Poll, the Pros will reveal the standings and the WWE Universe will learn which Rookie is one step closer to becoming the next big Raw Superstar. The Pros will vote for their favorite Rookies, but they cannot vote for their own. They’ll judge the Rookies based on four factors: win/loss record, strength of opponents, work ethic and the “it” factor. Which Rookies will make the grade in the eyes of the Pros? Tune in to WWE NXT Tuesday night at 10/9 CT on Syfy to find out!

    WWE's NXT ratings blijven dalen

WWE's NXT rating continues to drop
Posted by Chris Kaufman on 03/25/2010 at 01:04 PM

Tuesday’s WWE NXT on SyFy show averaged 1.08 million viewers, a drop of 7% from last week’s 1.162 million viewers. The cable rating was down from an 0.8 to 0.7.

Among adults 18-49, the show held steady at a 0.4.

Though the final number should be down a bit from last week, it is actually possible that a minute-by-minute analysis would reveal additional interest in this week’s show. Because so much of the show involved video packages, it is possible that a portion of the audience only tuned in for the opening match and main event.

    GOLDBERG IN GESPREK MET WWE

Goldberg says he is in talks with WWE
Posted by Chris Kaufman on 03/25/2010 at 12:20 AM

Former WWE and WCW Champion Bill Goldberg, who has not wrestled on the national wrestling scene since his infamous match with Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 20 back in 2004, has announced on Twitter that he's in negotiations with WWE:

"YES.. I am in negotiations with the WWE," Goldberg wrote. "Looks like 'ole Hogan and TNA missed the boat. Shame for the fans they didn't even try."

Goldberg has stated repeatedly during interviews that he has no interest in getting back in the ring, but has had a change of heart and "the door is open again."

"Truth is I never thought I'd even consider it...then came my son," Goldberg said. "No one said I'd wrestle but the door is open again. Also.... If I ever did step in the ring again, I have a new tag partner. He goes by the name of "Lights Out!!!! the one and only Shawn Merriman.....updating the old Goldberg/Kevin Greene duo."

Hart Dynasty members comment on their WWE future

Hart Dynasty members comment on their WWE future
Posted by Chris Kaufman on 03/24/2010 at 05:07 PM

SmackDown's Hart Dynasty faction recently spoke to Slam.Canoe.ca about Bret Hart's return to WWE. DH Smith said he doesn't know why their act hasn't appeared on camera with Bret, despite the family connections. "I think it would have made perfect sense," he said. "Why it didn't happen, I couldn't exactly tell you."

When asked whether they might work with Bret after his angle with Vince McMahon is over, Natalya said, "We really don't know any of those plans after Mania. In WWE, we go show to show, day to day. In our industry, WWE, it's always 'card is subject to change', whether it's injury or whatever. Things change by the day."

Jericho was verplicht mee te doen aan NXT

Jericho says he didn't ask to be part of NXT
Posted by Chris Kaufman on 03/24/2010 at 01:51 PM

Chris Jericho revealed today that he didn't ask to be part of the NXT show.

"I wasn't really given a choice in performing," Jericho said in an interview with ESPN. "I was basically just told I was going to be on the show and that was it."

However, he feels it is a "good concept" with "some bugs that need to be worked out."

He further notes, "I like my protege, Wade Barrett. I think he's got great presence and a great character. I also think Daniel Bryan, obviously, is an extraordinary performer as well. Those two guys stand out to me right off the bat."

Is 2010 het laatste jaar van sting?

2010 to be Sting's final year in wrestling?
Posted by Mark Virginia on 03/25/2010 at 11:51 AM

The Pope D’Angelo Dinero has done an interview with The Dothan Eagle and here are some highlights from the interview:

On the difference between TNA and WWE: “TNA is a family environment. The same environment that I spoke of earlier that we like to give to fans at a live event, that’s how we are, period. Yes, we all want to be champions and make money, but we all support one another’s efforts in doing so. You’re not gonna find that in the giant known as WWE. It’s too much of a warzone, if you will, among the guys there. If you walk in the TNA locker room and the WWE locker room, in TNA everyone is smiling and happy. It’s a great day to come to work. We have guys that have been wrestling 20, 30 years, guys who have been on top of the business, but everyone is on same page and treats everyone with respect. You don’t get talked down to.”

On what it was like working at Wrestlemania: “I did two WrestleManias, and of course I had the honor and privilege to do so. But as far as having a lot of memories from it, coming up, I wasn’t a WWF fan, I was an NWA (National Wrestling Alliance) fan and a World Class Championship Wrestling fan. I’m from Florida. My fondest memories are of Flair and “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes, the days of the Horsemen and Sting.”

On what it is like working with Ric Flair and Sting: “You have no idea. It’s the biggest honor. I can only hope some of my fellow brethren in TNA have the same respect and admiration and ability to know we have history, these great legends who we can learn from and grow from in the process. I’ve had a chance to work with Flair, which has just been thrilling. I mean, really thrilling. I’ve told many people before I got to TNA, they’d ask if I could have dinner with three people, who would it be? I always said Michael Jackson, Bill Clinton and Sting. I haven’t met the Big Pope upstairs, but I’ve had some encounters, and I don’t want to see him again until I can’t see no more [laughing]. My immediate goal is to get Sting in the ring before he exits for good. This is the last year. Pope’s been known to give some prophetic advice, and I can tell you this year is the last year for Sting. Pope wants to get him in the ring before he retires for good. I know in this business, when retirements happen, it’s not set in stone, but when Sting retires, I truly believe it’ll be for good.”

TNA Impact moving to 8-10 PM on Mondays?
Posted by Mark Virginia on 03/24/2010 at 08:23 PM

The official website for Spike TV lists the April 5th edition of TNA Impact as airing on Monday from 8-10 PM, instead of the 9-11 PM timeslot they've been using on Monday's. This will give them an hour unopposed to RAW, which to date has been their best hour on Monday back on January 4th when they went from 8-11 PM.

Update on TNA using the name "Wolfpac"

Update on TNA using the name "Wolfpac"
Posted by Mark Virginia on 03/22/2010 at 06:15 PM

Apparently the group name for Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Sean Waltman will now be Wolfpac, as opposed to The Band, which they had been using since coming into TNA.

According to F4WOnline.com, WWE does not own the trademark on "Wolfpac" as it was not part of the deal when they purchased the WCW intellectual property. This is also likely why they used the old Wolfpac theme song at the TNA PPV last night as well.

Impact starts off with Eric Bischoff playing guitar in the middle of the ring. Bischoff grabs the microphone and thanks the fans for their support. What you didnt know about me was the name of the song he was playing. Bischoff has a problem with Jeff Jarrett. Bischoff mentions that Jarrett uses his guitar for a silly prop or gimmick. Bischoff wonders if Jarrett can actually play the guitar.
