Interview highlights courtesy of The Mayhem's official correspondent, Paterson From New Jersey:
How he was approached to join Dragon Gate USA: "I've known Gabe (Sapolsky) for several years from Ring Of Honor, and he contacted me and said whenever I'm ready to wrestle for us & if you're interested, let me know. I was definitely interested, and Dragon Gate is pretty high caliber, one of the higher calibers in my opinion. I'm excited for it and just tyring to add what I can."
What his morale is like now being part of DGUSA after his time in the WWE & what the fans can expect from him now: "Say you create something, and imagine knowing that you can definitely offer way more than you are, and you're willing to do that night in & night out yet, that's not the confines of working. You're working with something much smaller, much more censored, and I think as a result, much more exaggerated for the negative. That's the environment you're working in when you're working with the entertainment industry & the WWE. You're going to work and walking into an editing room. On one hand, it makes your work more creative, but it's almost like having a studio chop up everything you do. That's where a lot of the frustration comes in. I'm just a...I don't even know if calling myself a prop would be very fair even. They either care about your ideas or they couldn't care less. That's what I dealt with."
If he was approached to return to TNA upon leaving World Wrestling Entertainment & how appealing is TNA/the X-Division to him currently (and if a return to TNA could be down the pipeline this year): I do keep up with the product some, because I have some friends there; obviously Brian (Kendrick) is working there now. It's a interesting show. A lot of it is very similar, but with of it, it has digressed in some parts. It takes two to tango, and I don't really feel that TNA has any interest in having me there or they would have made a stronger effort than they did. Instead, they made a pretty lousy & insulting effort almost a year ago to be honest with you. I don't have much interest at this point, so I could go to another place & be unappreciated...No thanks."
Paul's thoughts on some WWE Superstars who may bad-mouthed him on his way out of the company, including a message to Matt Hardy: "He doesn't count. I'm talking about people that matters like friends of mine. That doesn't matter to me. I meant real comments from real people."
More is contained in this exclusive interview with Paul London, including his candid & uncensored thoughts on whether or not he watches the current WWE product, along with the prospects of meeting (and potentially collaborating with) Bob Saget, who is rumored to be filming selected scenes of his A&E reality show using Dragon Gate USA as the backdrop. Jack Swagger & Dolph Ziggler def. Matt Hardy & MVP Beth Phoenix & Tiffany def. Womens Champion Michelle McCool & Layla John Morrison & R-Truth def. The Hart Dynasty Luke Gallows def. Rey Mysterio Undertaker def. Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre (Non-Title)
LOS ANGELES With The Grandest Stage of Them All just nine days away, Shawn Michaels ambushed an unsuspecting Undertaker, CM Punk accepted Rey Mysterios WrestleMania challenge, and World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho got the better of Edge.
WrestleMania coverage
Undertaker def. Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre (PHOTOS | WATCH) While Undertaker will soon defend his 17-0 streak at WrestleMania, Drew McIntyre was looking to keep his own undefeated streak alive in a non-title match. Despite his best efforts, the champion was no match for The Phenoms vicious leg drop, chokeslam and Tombstone.
After the match, as The Deadman made his way to the top of the exit ramp, he was greeted by Shawn Michaels who after scuffling with his WrestleMania opponent downed him with some hard-hitting Sweet Chin Music!
Rey Mysterio accepted CM Punks WrestleMania challenge (PHOTOS | WATCH) After being tormented in front of his family last week, Rey Mysterio eagerly accepted CM Punks challenge for a WrestleMania match. However, The Master of the 619 wanted their differences to be settled in a Street Fight! Not willing to give in to Mysterios request so easily, Punk demanded that he beat Luke Gallows in a match on SmackDown or their WrestleMania encounter would be a straight up match. Piling on the stipulations, CM Punk declared that if Rey touches him before WrestleMania, their match is off. And if The Ultimate Underdog loses at WrestleMania, he must take the Straight Edge pledge!
Luke Gallows def. Rey Mysterio (PHOTOS | WATCH) After stinging Luke Gallows with the 619, Rey Mysterio appeared to be on his way to victory and a Street Fight with CM Punk. However, as Mysterio set up on the top ropes, Serena grabbed his feet, causing him to fall to the canvas. Gallows capitalized, covering Mysterio for the win. Frustrated with the outcome, Mysterio launched into an uncharacteristic vicious attack on Gallows outside of the ring. The loss means Mysterio will now face CM Punk in straight up match at WrestleMania. (Match preview)
World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho attacked Edge (PHOTOS | WATCH) Last week, Chris Jericho got the better of Edge on the Highlight Reel by smashing him in the head with his title. On this night on The Cutting Edge, it looked like it was Edges turn when he tossed Jericho from the ring and Speared his WWE NXT Rookie, Wade Barrett. But, the champion got back in the ring and dropped Edge with the Codebreaker. Who will prevail in just nine days? (Match preview)
Jack Swagger & Dolph Ziggler def. Matt Hardy & MVP (PHOTOS | WATCH) In a little more than a week, all four Superstars in this tag team match will square off in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania. The shining star on this night was Dolph Ziggler, who downed MVP with the Zig Zag. Afterward, Ziggler set up a ladder in the middle of the ring and climbed to the top to grab hold of the coveted Money in the Bank briefcase. Who will capture the briefcase when it really counts? (MITB preview)
Beth Phoenix & Tiffany def. Womens Champion Michelle McCool & Layla (PHOTOS | WATCH) With a Glam Slam, Beth Phoenix dropped the Womens Champion for the win for her team. After the match, Official SmackDown Consultant Vickie Guerrero demanded an apology from The Glamazon for hitting her with a clothesline last week. Beth obliged with an apology, but that still wasnt good enough for Guerrero. Next week it will be Vickie vs. Beth in a match on SmackDown!
John Morrison & R-Truth def. The Hart Dynasty (PHOTOS | WATCH) With a fast-striking Lie Detector, R-Truth downed Tyson Kidd for the victory for his team. Although the win was a nice momentum boost, is it enough for Morrison & Truth to topple Unified Tag Team Champions Big Show & The Miz at WrestleMania? (Match preview)
Dwayne The Rock Johnson will in fact be returning to WWE this summer and his return will be more than just a one-night gig hosting RAW.
In a radio interview with Bostons Mix 104 last month, Johnson shed some new light on his return, which is expected to take place this summer.
When asked if he plans on wrestling a match in WWE this summer, The Rock said:
How I would come back is a different capacity than what Hulk Hogan did or I believe Ric Flair is doing. Those guys are coming back to actually wrestle. I dont want to wrestle; I have no intention of wrestling a match.
.. at least thats what hes saying. So if hes not wrestling, whats the plan?
The Rock plans on having a major impact on WWE programming and could serve as a semi-permanent RAW Guest host for the entire summer:
I do have intention of going back and hosting the show. Hosting a show like that would give me the opportunity to get on the microphone, rip open the writing, and invite guests on to come host with me. We wanted to create something cool and big and fun for the audience.
The Rocks WWE return appears to be this summers big angle. Two years ago, WWE went with Million Dollar Mania to spice things up. Last year, Donald Trump bought Raw and kicked off the weekly Guest Host storyline. While The Rock claims that he currently has no plan to get back in the ring when he returns to WWE in a few months, his presence alone on WWE television should be enough to heat things up this summer headed into SummerSlam.
On Twitter, when asked whether he watches TNA Wrestling, Steve Austin replied: "yes i do watch TNA. lots of friends there. they have some good talent."
He also said last week that "they will never catch WWE" and felt they needed to be different than them. However, he also wished them luck and said competition is good.
Reid Flair, son of The Nature Boy, is expected to be at some of the upcoming TNA iMPACT shows and tapings. It's unknown if he will be brought in as a wrestler or if he's just coming in for training.
Kane def. Shelton Benjamin The Bella Twins def. Jillian & Katie Lea Christian, Mark Henry & Yoshi Tatsu def. Jack Swagger, William Regal & Zack Ryder
On WWE Superstars nearly half of this years Money in the Bank Ladder Match participants collided in a pair of heated contests. The matches saw both Kane and Christian build momentum heading into WrestleMania XXVI, as The Bella Twins picked up a win in a palette-cleansing Divas tag team match.

Christian, Mark Henry & Yoshi Tatsu def. Jack Swagger, William Regal & Zack Ryder (PHOTOS | WATCH) The main event of WWE Superstars saw six Raw ring warriors collide in a massive three-on-three tag team battle. While Christian and Jack Swagger both sought to send a clear message about their chances in the upcoming Money in the Bank Ladder Match, their partners were no less determined to make an impact. Ultimately, however, it was Captain Charisma who chalked up a win after hitting Zack Ryder with the Killswitch.
The Bella Twins def. Jillian & Katie Lea (PHOTOS | WATCH) The team of Jillian & Katie Lea was seeing double on WWE Superstars as they took on The Bella Twins in a tag team match. Despite their opponents aggressive in-ring tactics, Brie & Nikki Bella persevered, winning the match and in the process proving that they are more than just a couple of pretty faces.
Kane def. Shelton Benjamin (PHOTOS | WATCH) WWE Superstars opened with a colorful clash, pitting The Big Red Monster against The Gold Standard. With the Money in the Bank Ladder Match (and the possibility of a guaranteed World Title Match) little more than a week away, both SmackDown Superstars fought ferociously, but in the end it was Kane who defeated Shelton Benjamin with a thunderous chokeslam.
According to Dave Meltzer, the WWE talents have been told to keep busy with WWE affairs during Wrestlemania weekend and not to attend any Ring of Honor or Dragon Gate shows. They have also been told to expect TMZ cameras and not to do anything that would get them in trouble or on TMZ.
WWE stars enjoy Impact being on Mondays? Posted by Chris Kaufman on 03/17/2010 at 12:21 PM
Credit: F4WOnline.com
Believe it or not, several WWE wrestlers privately said they liked Impact last week because of the sense of competition and that they are bored of WWE's product as of late.
- Hulk Hogan was in tremendous pain after last week's TNA Impact tapings. He was icing his back for a long time. Hogan has been protecting his back in the ring and only did a few bumps but still is hurting. Right now Hogan's not expected to wrestle anytime soon but that could always change.
- Ric Flair is telling people he is having more fun working in TNA than he has had in years because he loves being a top heel. Flair still thinks he can have one more world-class match, perhaps with someone like Kurt Angle.
CM Punk & Darren Young def. Matt Hardy & Justin Gabriel The Great Khali def. Daniel Bryan Heath Slater def. Michael Tarver Wade Barrett def. Skip Sheffield
LOS ANGELES Rookies and Pros continued to clash during week four of competition on WWE NXT. Several Rookie standouts continued their upward climb, impressing the WWE Universe with their in-ring abilities, while some fell once again, possibly diminishing their chances at becoming the next Raw Superstar.
Wade Barrett def. Skip Sheffield (PHOTOS | WATCH) Rookie Skip Sheffield looked for his first WWE NXT victory, but without the expert guidance of his ring veteran Pro, William Regal, he came up short against an increasingly dominant Rookie, Wade Barrett. The Cornfed Meathead tried to talk strategy with The British Brawler before his match, but their meeting was filled with bickering something that arguably weighs on the performance of Sheffield, whose record fell to 0-2. Will Sheffield charm his standoffish Pro and the WWE Universe before its too late?
On the other hand, Barrett has found his perfect mentor in World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho. Their abrasive, cocky personalities click, and Jericho seems to have the utmost confidence in the brawling abilities of his brash, money-hungry Rookie. Under the World Heavyweight Champions supervision, Barrett has increased his record to 2-1, and shows no signs of slowing down. Who will step in the ring next with Barrett? Will Jerichos leadership send the Rookie down the path of Superstardom?
Heath Slater def. Michael Tarver (PHOTOS | WATCH) The one-man rock band continued his hot streak on WWE NXT. With his Pro, Christian, watching from the locker room area alongside Michael Tarvers Pro, Carlito, Rookie Heath Slater defeated Tarver. But after the match, a frustrated and angry Tarver leveled Slater, sending a strong message to him and the WWE Universe despite a 0-2 record, Tarver isnt backing down. Slaters confidence had been the rise and his impressive record jumped to 3-0. But after this attack, will Slater continue to rock the WWE Universe? How will Christian, who seems to be his perfect teacher, guide him on his quest to become a Superstar? And will Tarver finally find his groove and earn a victory under the watch of the devious Carlito?
The Great Khali def. Daniel Bryan (PHOTOS | WATCH) While WWE Pro The Miz was not on WWE NXT, he took the opportunity to arrange a special match for his mentee. Rookie Daniel Bryan was put to an immense test, this time by his largest opponent yet, The Great Khali. The Miz should be pleased to know The Punjabi Giant defeated the Rookie, who is now 0-4. However, Bryan showed an impressive effort against his huge opponent, even bringing him to his knees. Then, The Miz's fellow Unified Tag Team Champion, Big Show, appeared and chokeslammed Bryan. Will the valiant Bryan be able to rebound from another loss on WWE NXT?
CM Punk & Darren Young def. Matt Hardy & Justin Gabriel (PHOTOS | WATCH) While CM Punk hasnt completely convinced his Rookie, Darren Young, to drop his South Beach party boy habits and convert to the Straight Edge lifestyle, he has guided him to victory more than once. On WWE NXT this week, Young earned a tag team victory when he pinned Pro Matt Hardy after Punk hit him with the Go To Sleep when the official wasn't watching. With the Straight Edge Superstar on his side, Young has been unstoppable, and has increased his record to 2-1. But will Young change his life and join the Straight Edge Society? That may not happen this week, as after Youngs win, he was attacked by SES member Luke Gallows, who hit the Gallows Pole on Young, as well as Hardy and his Rookie, Justin Gabriel, as a sign of solidarity as Punk and Serena smugly looked on. As for Gabriel, his once-perfect record dropped to 2-1.
Also, WWE NXT host Matt Striker announced that in two weeks, the WWE Pros will evaluate the NXT Rookies. Which Superstar hopefuls will make the grade?
