  • Unified Tag Team Champions Big Show & The Miz vs. John Morrison & R-Truth ended in a No Contest
  • Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase def. Randy Orton in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match
  • Evan Bourne def. William Regal in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match
  • Mr. McMahon def. John Cena in a No Disqualification Handicap Gauntlet Match

PORTLAND, Ore. – Master illusionist Criss Angel may have acted as special guest host of Monday Night Raw, but it was Mr. McMahon who employed trickery and a host of hired hands to punish John Cena on The Road to WrestleMania.

Mr. McMahon def. John Cena in a No Disqualification Handicap Gauntlet Match
It took deception, dishonesty and, oh, about five or so Superstars, but Mr. McMahon finally managed to beat John Cena. The Chairman, hoping to prove a point to his WrestleMania rival Bret Hart, had arranged a match between himself and Cena. Perhaps realizing the odds stacked against him, Mr. McMahon changed the rules of engagement, setting up a Gauntlet-Style bout.

Cena’s first hurdle was Vladimir Kozlov followed by Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre, Jack Swagger and a conflicted Mark Henry. When none of these Superstars managed to wear down Cena enough, The Chairman stipulated that the bout was now a No Disqualification Match. After failing to enlist The World’s Strongest Man to nail Cena with the ring bell, WWE Champion Batista entered the fray and laid out Henry. Before The Chairman could clock Cena with the bell, though, Kofi Kingston ran out for the save. Batista seemed prepared as he attacked Kingston and even battled Cena at that point.

With Cena incapacitated, his WrestleMania foe took advantage and Batista Bombed the exhausted Superstar in the ring. Mr. McMahon then quickly pinned him for the win.

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin to act as Raw’s special guest host next week
Quick, somebody hide the beer! “Stone Cold” Steve Austin returns to Raw next week as special guest host. Not only will The Texas Rattlesnake preside over the contract signing between Mr. McMahon and Bret Hart, he’s even announced that next Monday will be WrestleMania Rewind night, featuring rematches from years past including John Cena vs. Big Show (WrestleMania XX), Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho (WrestleMania XIX) and Triple H vs. Randy Orton (25th Anniversary of WrestleMania).

Evan Bourne def. William Regal in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match
The line-up for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match is all set. With the inclusion of Evan Bourne, the eight-man field in the WrestleMania showdown has been established. “Air” Bourne managed to secure the final eighth position by bombarding William Regal – as the Englishman’s NXT Rookie Skip Sheffield looked on – with his patented aerial assault and now joins Kane, MVP, Christian, Dolph Ziggler, Shelton Benjamin, Jack Swagger and Matt Hardy to vie for the coveted Money in the Bank briefcase.

Sheamus challenged Triple H to a WrestleMania Match
The tension between Triple H and Sheamus all started when The Game effectively ended The Celtic Warrior’s reign as WWE Champion inside of Satan’s Structure. Fitting since a clash between the two should be hell on earth for each man. After suffering a devastating attack by Sheamus last week, Triple H declared that his nemesis would lose his first match ever at WrestleMania – to him! Before the tension became overwhelming, the two collided both inside and outside of the ring.

Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase def. Randy Orton
Randy Orton couldn’t wait. As his opponents in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase, made their way to the ring, their ringleader-turned-rival attacked, leaving the duo dazed before the bout even started. The ambush proved reminiscent of the punishment The Viper dished out to his protégés the week prior.

The Viper, however, would need more than a surprise strike to defeat the two. DiBiase managed to pin the former mentor for an especially satisfying victory. Afterward, Rhodes joined in the fun, also pummeling the impaired Orton with glee.

Unified Tag Team Champions Big Show & The Miz vs. John Morrison & R-Truth ended in a No Contest
Having earned their status as No. 1 contenders to the Unified Tag Team Championships, John Morrison & R-Truth dropped by Raw to battle current champions Big Show & The Miz. The match got underway after one of The Miz’s typically bombastic rants. In response, his former tag team partner Morrison and R-Truth double-teamed The “Cleveland Screamer” and sent him over the top rope. The SmackDown duo then punished The World’s Largest Athlete before heading up the entrance ramp after having put “Show-Miz” squarely in their place.

Eve, Kelly Kelly & Gail Kim def. Divas Champion Maryse, Alicia Fox & Katie Lea
A week after the Diva Pajama Pillow Fight Match, the winner of that feather-filled fracas, Eve, managed to make it two in a row when she forced Divas Champion Maryse to tap out. This week, the gorgeous grappler teamed with Kelly Kelly & Gail Kim to tackle the challenge of the conceited Canadian, who hooked up with Alicia Fox and Raw's newest Diva, Katie Lea.

    Shawn Michaels confronted The Undertaker
In a rare Raw appearance, The Undertaker took the mic to address the WWE Universe about his upcoming WrestleMania rematch with Shawn Michaels. The Deadman vowed that, despite HBK’s protestations, he will prevail and bury his opponent’s storied career once and for all.

For his part, HBK begged to differ. “Mr. WrestleMania” confronted his tormentor, insisting that The Undertaker’s 17-0 streak will end and that his rival knows deep inside his being that he will be defeated. HBK even proposed a new match stipulation, to which The Deadman readily agreed: The only way either Superstar can win will be by pinfall or submission.

TONIGHT (MONDAY): “TNA iMPACT!” MAKES HISTORY ON SPIKE TV

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling’s Flagship Series Will Air Live Every Other Week From Universal Studios In Orlando, Fl.

“TNA iMPACT!,” Spike TV’s highly-rated two-hour weekly series, is moving from Thursday nights to Monday nights beginning Monday, March 8 (9:00-11:00pm ET/PT), it was announced by TNA President Dixie Carter and legendary pop culture icon Hulk Hogan at a press conference at the “TNA iMPACT! Zone” at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

Monday: Tonight, March 8, the huge main event of the epic broadcast will feature Hulk Hogan's return to the ring as he teams with Abyss to face TNA World Heavyweight Champion "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles and the legendary "Nature Boy" Ric Flair!

Plus, "The Icon" Sting has signed a new contract with TNA Wrestling and will be at Monday's historic broadcast on SpikeTV!

“TNA iMPACT!”  will air live on March 8, with subsequent telecasts live every other week.  The series features many of the biggest names in wrestling including Hogan, Ric Flair, Mick Foley and Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle, as well as the hottest young talent in the industry: TNA World Heavyweight Champion “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles, “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe and “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan.

The first ever Monday live “TNA iMPACT” broadcast on Spike TV, ran as a three-hour special head-to-head against WWE RAW on Monday, January 4, 2010, and drew a franchise-record 2.2 million viewers.  Two wrestling companies have not broadcast head-to-head weekly since the “Monday Night Wars” in the late 1990’s between WWE and WCW.

“On January 4 wrestling fans showed us they’re ready for a new professional wrestling alternative on Monday nights, and we’re answering that call. Bringing ‘iMPACT!’ to Mondays is our most exciting move yet in a year that’s already been filled with huge milestones for TNA” said Carter.

"Monday nights are now officially the best night of the week to be a fan of professional wrestling," Hogan said.  "My mantra has been 'change is coming' since partnering with Dixie Carter and TNA Wrestling. This change is great for the business and all fans of professional wrestling will benefit because of it."

"TNA iMPACT! has emerged as one of cable's top performers with young men, said  Spike TV President Kevin Kay. "With NFL Football off the television schedule and with "TNA iMPACT’s" expanding roster of top wrestling talent, we see this as an opportunity to tap into the millions of wrestling fans on Monday nights."

Since its founding in 2002, Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling has become the world’s fastest growing professional wrestling company, currently airing in over 120 countries worldwide.

3+ Major TNA Surprises Planned For Today !

Quite like TNA's first live Monday telecast two months ago, tomorrow night's TNA iMPACT! will see the debuts of a few familiar faces.

According to a reliable source, "at least three surprise names" are set to debut on tomorrow night's live show.

Rob Van Dam is one of those names that we can now confirm will be debuting this Monday night on TNA iMPACT!.

As noted before, Jeff Hardy is possible to appear on tonight's live iMPACT. Hardy filmed sitdown interviews for TNA in Orlando a few weeks back for a video package that is supposed to air on TV soon.

There's a rumor going around that Sabu will be appearing as a surprise on tonight's live iMPACT. Considering his friendship with Rob Van Dam, it would be possible. Sabu recently appeared for the XICW promotion in Michigan and is scheduled to wrestle for them on March 21st.

R-Truth & John Morrison def. Cryme Tyme and The Hart Dynasty (WrestleMania Unified Tag Title Qualifying Triple Threat Tag Match)
Edge def. Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show

WICHITA, Kan. – He came. He saw. He Speared.

Ever since winning the 2010 Royal Rumble Match, Edge has shown no signs of slowing down on The Road to WrestleMania. And on this night, both Big Show and World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho felt his wrath.

Also shining on this night were R-Truth, John Morrison and Matt Hardy who all qualified for WrestleMania!

Edge def. Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show (PHOTOS | WATCH)
The World’s Largest Athlete is one of the most formidable foes for anyone in WWE. However, Edge proved he was up to the challenge by cleverly avoiding a chokeslam with a DDT, then downing the 500-pounder with a devastating Spear. After the match, World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho tried to attack Edge from behind, but he too was met with the Spear. Afterward, The Ultimate Opportunist led the WWE Universe in chants of “Spear, Spear, Spear …”

The night ended for Big Show the same way it began with Edge getting the better of him. At the start of the night, Edge, avoided a charging Big Show, who ended up toppling out of the ring and falling hard onto the arena floor. (PHOTOS | WATCH)

Matt Hardy def. Intercontinental Drew McIntyre in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Just before the first match of the night, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long delivered shocking news. By order of The Chairman, Drew McIntyre’s loss to Kane last week was “expunged.” Given a second chance, the champion took on Matt Hardy in another Money in the Bank Qualifier. But after reversing an attempted cover by McIntyre, Hardy punched his ticket to WrestleMania, while the champion was left pondering his first official loss.

Shelton Benjamin def. Dolph Ziggler (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Both looking to make a strong showing before they meet in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania, Shelton Benjamin and Dolph Ziggler battled it out. In the end, it was The Gold Standard who came up money when he stopped the Zig Zag and crushed Ziggler with Paydirt.

Ezekiel Jackson def. Jimmy Wang Yang (PHOTOS | WATCH)
In his SmackDown debut, the massive 309-pound Ezekiel Jackson absolutely obliterated Jimmy Wang Yang. The shape of things to come on Friday nights is sure to change, now that Big Zeke is in the house!

Rey Mysterio def. Luke Gallows (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Before the match, CM Punk encouraged Luke Gallows to get the win and earn some payback for Mysterio keeping Punk out of WrestleMania for interfering in his Money in the Bank Qualifying Match last week. (PHOTOS) Despite Punk’s words, Gallows failed his Straight Edge savior by getting pinned by Mysterio. After the bout, Punk tried to hit Mysterio with the Go to Sleep. But he too failed to get the better of The Master of the 619. Punk was seething at the outcome.

R-Truth & John Morrison def. Cryme Tyme and The Hart Dynasty in a Unified Tag Team Title Qualifying Match (PHOTOS | WATCH)
In an exhibition of true teamwork, R-Truth and John Morrison won a Triple Threat Tag Team Match against Cryme Tyme and The Hart Dynasty when Truth dropped Tyson Kidd with the Lie Detector. Now, the duo will take on Unified Tag Team Champions Big Show and The Miz at WrestleMania. (Match preview)

More WWE releases coming in the near future?
Posted by Chris Kaufman on 03/03/2010 at 05:16 PM

F4WOnline.com is reporting that more WWE cuts are expected, and they could come as soon as the end of this week. With the recent release of Charlie Haas, Maria Kanellis, Gregory Helms, Paul Burchill and Scott Armstrong, it appears as if WWE is performing its annual spring cleaning of talent as is generally the case every year. There have been several people within WWE management who are attempting to save certain talents from being released, and it's being said an attempt was made to spare Gregory Helms, however it did not pan out.

Sean Morley and Roxxi gone from TNA?

Sean Morley and Roxxi gone from TNA?
Posted by Mark Virginia on 03/05/2010 at 10:59 AM

TNA has removed Sean Morley and Knockout Roxxi from the company's online roster page. Morley appeared on Thursday’s Impact show, and Roxxi has been sidelined by an ankle injury she suffered in the ring last year. There’s no official word yet on whether Morley and/or Roxxi have been released. Roxxi noted on her Twitter page that she is returning to action on Saturday for the WSU promotion as Nikki Roxx. The show takes place in Union City, N.J. at The Ace Arena. For more info, check out Nikki-Roxx.org.

RVD comments on signing with TNA

RVD comments on signing with TNA
Posted by Mark Virginia on 03/05/2010 at 10:53 AM

The big news yesterday came from a radio appearance by Hulk Hogan where he talked about a major name that just signed with TNA and strongly implied that the major name is Rob Van Dam. RVD posted a message on his official website (robvandam.com) stating:

"Wow, my phone has been buzzing all day, and not just because the room's been smokey. Ever have one of those days where you can't send out a text before two texts interrupt you. My attention span has been so distracted, I forget who I've called by the time the phone stops ringing and someone answers all the time. And not just because the room is smokey either."

Van Dam stated that he'll be making a number of radio appearances this morning (Friday) to address the TNA rumors. Van Dam appeared on Greenville, South Carolina's New Rock 93.3 station this morning and said the following about signing with TNA:

"I would say there is a high probability that that's going to happen. The official word is that it's still rumor and I haven't officially signed anything. It's been well-publicized news that I've been talking to both WWE and TNA. But, talks with TNA are sounding really good lately."

Spike TV posts message about RVD in TNA

Spike TV posts message about RVD in TNA
Posted by Mark Virginia on 03/04/2010 at 02:22 PM

Spike TV's official Twitter page posted the following message:

"RT @TNA_FANS: HULK HOGAN confirms "Mr. Monday Night" RVD has signed with TNA Wrestling! http://bit.ly/cZ9HmK @SPIKE_TV"

According to prowrestling.net, TNA is not pleased with this news being leaked. It's possible that Hogan did the radio interview, not realizing that the video being shot of him would end up on YouTube immediately.
