To update an earlier item, it appears Bobby Lashley is not done with TNA Wrestling - at least that is what he is saying. Lashley, who has never shied away from making public comments regarding his future, is telling people his profile was removed from the TNA Wrestling website for storyline purposes. Lashley will take time off while he continues to train but he is still under TNA contract.
There are conflicting reports regarding Alissa Flash's departure from TNA. It's said that she was frustrated with TNA not using her on a regular basis. The speculation is that she asked for her release or TNA made the decision to let her go. Some feel her departure was due to the incident with Awesome Kong because they are good friends. Flash parted ways with TNA on January 21st.
"I just missed the business, and they created a very nice opportunity for me,"
"I wasn't sure if it was something I wanted to do. But I'm a big fan of (TNA star) Kurt Angle, and working with Hulk in Australia really showed me how much I missed things."
"They really are in the right mold, and they have the money to create a good product," Flair told HamptonRoads.com. "They're going to get really better in a real short period of time. And I'm excited about the chance to be a part of that."
"The feud thing with Hogan will play out later," Flair continued. "The story line right now is that they've made all these changes to be competitive, and I'm just a part of that."
Will he wrestle with TNA?:
"Yep," Flair said. "And probably sooner than later, much to my dismay.
The TNA website has removed Bobby Lashley's profile from its roster page, which suggests he is no longer affiliated with the organization.
Hulk Hogan recently said that he and Lashley would need to have 'a serious talk' regarding his simultaneous involvement with professional wrestling and mixed martial arts.
"You can't put [Strikeforce] ahead of us," Hogan told Sports Illustrated. "That's not going to work me. I'm going to fix that real quick."
Lashley, who took his MMA record to 5-0 by defeating Wes Sims, said that his Strikeforce debut would go a long way toward deciding his future in the wrestling industry.
Lashley is scheduled to fight at Strikeforce's next event on Apr. 17. His opponent has yet to be determined.
WWE Champion Sheamus def. ECW Champion Christian in a Non-Title Match U.S. Champion The Miz & Big Show def. Unified Tag Team Champions DX and Straight Edge Society Gail Kim def. Jillian Cody Rhodes def. Randy Orton Ted DiBiase vs. John Cena ended in a No Contest
LAFAYETTE, La. - Let the celebration continue! Just one night after the New Orleans Saints captured the NFLs top prize in the Super Bowl, the people of Louisiana were still in the mood to party when Raw rolled into the Cajundome. Good thing, too, since special guest host and NASCAR driver Carl Edwards gave them plenty to celebrate.
Bret Hart retaliated against Mr. McMahon (PHOTOS | WATCH) After his match, John Cena called out both Batista and Mr. McMahon, but only The Chairman showed, accompanied by a phalanx of security. After berating Mr. McMahon regarding his actions toward Bret Hart the week before, Cena convinced The Chairman to accept a match with the WWE Hall of Famer at WrestleMania. When Hart, who had been banned from the arena, actually showed and retaliated against his longtime nemesis, however, Mr. McMahon retreated behind his security and canceled the bout. Needless to say, The Hit Man was none too pleased and went on a tear inside the Cajundome.
Ted DiBiase vs. John Cena ended in a No Contest (PHOTOS | WATCH) Do your best not to tick off John Cena. The former WWE Champion was in no mood for games when he entered the ring with Ted DiBiase. Who could blame the guy? Last week, after Raw went off the air, Cena helped Bret Hart to his feet after a reprehensible attack by Mr. McMahon and Batista. As a result, Batista took exception and attacked Cena, administering a crushing Batista Bomb onto a set of steel steps.
Any lingering anger Cena felt, he channeled at least part of it at DiBiase. After hurling him outside the ring, Cena then locked in the STFU until referees intervened. He wasnt done there, though.
Guest host Carl Edwards arranged singles matches for Elimination Chamber participants on next weeks Raw NASCAR driver Carl Edwards knows that before you slam the gas pedal to the floor, you have to let the engine warm up. Perhaps thats why, as guest host, Edwards arranged for the six Superstars competing in the Elimination Chamber in two weeks to battle each other in singles matches before hitting terminal velocity. As a result, next Monday night, WWE Champion Sheamus will face Randy Orton, Kofi Kingston will battle Ted DiBiase and John Cena will clash with Triple H.
Cody Rhodes def. Randy Orton (PHOTOS | WATCH) Cody Rhodes had to know it was coming. After his interference cost Randy Orton the WWE Championship at Royal Rumble, Rhodes knew his comeuppance wasnt a matter of if but when. And that question was answered abruptly when The Viper informed his Legacy protégé that the two would face each other in a singles match.
But a funny thing happened on the way to the beat-down: Rhodes actually won. Whether planned with Rhodes knowledge or not, WWE Champion Sheamus distracted The Viper long enough for the Legacy henchman to wrap up Orton for the win.
The Irishman then climbed into the ring and dropped a dazed Orton with a kick to the face. As Sheamus moved in for more, though, Rhodes actually came to the Legacy ringleaders defense, sending Sheamus walking.
Jerry Springer to act as special guest host of Raw next week (WATCH) Jer-ry! Jer-ry! Jer-ry! The titular host of the raucous Jerry Springer Show brings his, um, unique brand of television to Monday Night Raw when he takes the reins as special guest host. Trust us, youre not going to want to miss any of the action!
Gail Kim def. Jillian (PHOTOS | WATCH) Pourquoi? Thats French for Why? which many in the WWE Universe must be asking themselves after Maryses recent behavior. The conceited Canadian sat ringside as her WWE Elimination Chamber opponent, Gail Kim, handily tackled the challenge of Jillian. After Gails victory, Maryse actually displayed a healthy dose of sportsmanship, congratulating Gail and promising that the two will have the greatest Divas match of all time.
As Gail prepares to battle for the Divas Championship, she must realize that something with Maryse doesnt seem right in any language.
U.S. Champion The Miz & Big Show def. Unified Tag Team Champions DX and Straight Edge Society in a Triple Threat Elimination Match (PHOTOS | WATCH) Shawn Michaels recent career crisis appears to have DX unraveling at the seams. HBK and Triple H joined forces in an effort to retain their Unified Tag Team Titles in a Triple Threat Elimination Match against United States Champion The Miz & Big Show and the Straight Edge Society. Michaels, however, seemed distracted by what can only be categorized as his obsession with a WrestleMania rematch against World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker.
After eliminating Luke Gallows, HBK focused on the remaining threat, Big Show & Miz. Rather than offer his usual sure-handed performance, though, Michaels crumpled, allowing his opponents to surmount his offense and capture the Unified Tag Team Titles.
A frustrated Michaels confronted SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long after the bout demanding to be traded to SmackDown and included in the World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber Match. Long declined, though, explaining that the participants were already set. When The Game asked why his distraught friend was destroying his career, Michaels told him that, as far as he was concerned, his career was already over. For good measure, he then superkicked an unsuspecting Long.
WWE Champion Sheamus def. ECW Champion Christian in a Non-Title Match (PHOTOS 1 | PHOTOS 2 | WATCH) Should the WWE Universe just refer to Raw as STV? After all, WWE Champion Sheamus thinks he owns the broadcast. As special guest host Carl Edwards greeted the jubilant crowd, The Celtic Warrior cut him short and demanded to be deemed the final entrant in his WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match. The NASCAR racer didnt have a chance to respond, though, before ECW Champion Christian joined the fray.
Captain Charisma informed the WWE Universe that, with ECW taking a final bow in two weeks, everyone on the extreme roster is essentially a free agent. Christian then hinted at his interest in returning to Raw and requested a match with Sheamus. Edwards was only too happy to oblige, but Christian should be more careful for what he wishes.
The Extreme Superstar could not overcome the power and intensity of the Irishman and wound up rattled with his shoulders driven to the canvas.
Yoshi Tatstu & Goldust def. Caylen Croft & Trent Barreta Ezekiel Jackson def. local competitor Shelton Benjamin def. Vance Archer in a No Disqualification, No Count-Out Match
BATON ROUGE, La. With the final episode of ECW on Syfy only one week away, ECW General Manager Tiffany implored her talented roster of Superstars to go out and impress the WWE Universe tonight and thats exactly what they did. With three excellent matches exemplifying the ECW style and two huge bouts set for next Tuesday, the penultimate edition of ECW on Syfy was certainly one to remember.
Shelton Benjamin def. Vance Archer in a No Disqualification, No Count-Out Match (PHOTOS | WATCH) For weeks, Shelton Benjamin has been put through hell by the massive Vance Archer, but not once did The Gold Standard back down from the big man. After many grueling battles, the rivalry between these two competitors finally came to a head on tonights ECW on Syfy with each Superstar agreeing to battle in a No Disqualification, No Count-Out brawl. As expected, the contest was particularly brutal with each man being pushed to their physical limit. But, in the end, Shelton Benjamin pulled off the victory, making one of his final ECW memories a great one.
Ezekiel Jackson def. local competitor (PHOTOS | WATCH) After Ezekiel Jackson made short work of a local competitor with his devastating uranage, the massive Superstars associate, William Regal, grabbed the microphone. The British Brawler then ran down Tiffany before demanding that the beautiful boss grant Big Zeke an ECW Championship Match as her final act as General Manager.
Not one to back down from a confrontation, Christian personally accepted the challenge later in the evening and then upped the ante. Not only will the ECW Championship be on the line next Tuesday, but the match will be contested under Extreme Rules!
Yoshi Tatstu & Goldust def. Caylen Croft & Trent Barreta (PHOTOS | WATCH) With a Unified Tag Team Title opportunity on the line, two of ECWs finest tandems brought everything they had to the ring on one of the Land of the Extremes final nights. While the video-game playing team of Caylen Croft & Trent Barreta impressed, the young duo ultimately fell to the unique pairing of Yoshi Tatsu & Goldust. The Japanese Superstar & The Bizzare One will now face Unified Tag Team Champions Big Show & The Miz on next Tuesdays ECW on Syfy.
It would appear that Bret Hart has been cleared to wrestle and that a "Hitman" vs. Vince McMahon match will be taking place in the form of a singles bout at WrestleMania XXVI.
At the conclusion of tonight's Raw, Cena convinced The Chairman to accept a match with the WWE Hall of Famer at WrestleMania. When Hart, who had been banned from the arena, actually appeared and retaliated against his longtime nemesis, however, McMahon retreated behind his security and canceled the bout. A none too pleased "Hitman" proceeded to go on a tear inside the Cajundome.
Should he end up competing at WrestleMania, it will mark as Hart's first wrestling match in over ten years. He was forced to retire from in-ring competition in late 2000 after sustaining a career-ending injury several months prior.

For those wondering, the future of the ECW Championship has not yet been decided on. Though ECW will cease to exist next week, the belt may linger on in some fashion. Internally, some are lobbying to keep the belt, but ultimately, Vince McMahon will decide its fate and he hasn't made a decision yet. Those pushing to keep it feel it can still be used as an attraction for undercards of secondary PPV events.
- Bubba the Love Sponge is said to be the least popular person in the TNA locker room. Those who look past his shock jock personality say he gives off a vibe that he's above everyone else due to his friendship with Hulk Hogan.

ECW Champion Christian noted on last night's RAW that in two weeks when the ECW brand is done away with, all Superstars on the show will become free agents, able to sign with whatever show they wanted.

Not wanting to be left out of the discussion, CM Punk (with Serena and Luke Gallows in tow) came to the ring to claim he would win at WWE Elimination Chamber to become the only four-time Straight Edge World Heavyweight Champion.
Next, after an ominous gong and moment of darkness, World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker appeared in the ring. Chaos then ensued with Edge spearing Jericho and The Phenom brutally chokeslamming Punk.

Instead, The Animal just stood in the corner after the bell rang. Then after remaining there for a minute or so, he simply walked out of the ring. After failing to heed the refs 10-count, Batista was disqualified. The Animal offered no clue as to why he passed up a chance to compete at WWE Elimination Chamber.

Layla & Michelle McCool (PHOTOS | WATCH) Just days after winning the Women's Championship at Royal Rumble, Mickie James found herself facing former champion Michelle McCool yet again this time in a tag match orchestrated by Official SmackDown Consultant Vickie Guerrero. Undaunted, Mickie recovered from the traitorous act and rolled up Layla for the win.
Rey Mysterio def. Dolph Ziggler in an Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match (PHOTOS | WATCH) Familiar foes Rey Mysterio and Dolph Ziggler battled it out for a title opportunity at WWE Elimination Chamber. - Its interesting to note that Jack Swagger has yet to garner a single victory so far this year. Taking house shows into account, he currently sits at 0-15.
How much money Helms lost missing the Rumble Posted by Chris Kaufman on 02/04/2010 at 12:38 PM
Credit: F4WOnline.com
As noted before, Gregory Helms was found with a single soma pill in his bag when arrested with Chris Jericho. If Helms didn't have a prescription for the drug like he claimed and even though the police aren't charging him for it, WWE would be forced to suspend him for 60 days on his second Wellness violation. WWE's current policy says that every prescription a wrestler has is supposed to be filed ahead of time with Dr. David Black. All prescriptions are supposed to be written by the company doctors who travel with the WWE crew. Helms has a previous violation against him for his name coming up in the Signature Pharmacy scandal in 2007 and has never failed a WWE drug test.
There has been a lot of talk backstage regarding Helms' future with WWE after the incident. Based on the success of the Royal Rumble PPV which he was pulled from, Helms missed out on a payoff from the show that would have been around $5,000.
It's said that Helms was apologetic to WWE officials for the incident.

A detailed recap of Hulk Hogan on RVD's radio show Posted by Mark Virginia on 02/04/2010 at 12:32 PM
Thanks to PWTorch.com for some of the quotes.
Hulk Hogan was a guest on Rob Van Dams "RVD Radio" show on Wednesday night, which you can listen to at BlogTalkRadio.com/RVDradio. Hogan claimed he was trying to reach RVD directly but agreed to be patched in as a live caller on the show.
Hogan didn't waste any time before telling RVD he needs to join TNA. He said TNA has some serious momentum right now and could really take off if they had RVD ruling the roost."
Van Dam asked Hogan about TNA Impact moving to Monday nights, which Hogan said is "definitely going to happen sooner than later." Hogan said TNA needs RVDs help.
RVD said he is very interested in hearing what Hogan has to say about him coming in. Van Dam told Hogan that now is a better time than ever as his wife is healthy, he is healthy and hes not burnt out. RVD said he was curious about coming into TNA and said that he and Hogan should probably do some more talking after the show is over. He mentioned bringing Sabu along with him to TNA.
Hogan said he was on the phone with Jeff Hardy earlier in the day, talking about RVD coming to TNA, among other topics. Hogan said he and Hardy have some crazy idea that he "guarantees" will work. Hogan kept saying how much fun everyone is having in TNA. RVD asked Hogan if it was his decision to go back to the four-sided ring and Hogan confirmed it was. Hogan put down the six-sided ring and RVD agreed with the decision.
Hogan then took some shots at WWE.
"We don't have a girl writing the show telling us what to say," Hogan said in a somewhat-sexist remark aimed at Stephanie McMahon. "I see some of the stuff that's written (in TNA) and I just say, 'Don't even look at that crap. Let's you and I rock.' That's how it was with almost anyone I worked with. If I feel it and believe it, you don't have to read some stupid-ass script."
Hogan summed up his sales pitch by saying it's the first time "one of the boys" is running a wrestling promotion on a national level and he claims to not have an agenda for anything he's doing with the TV product.
"It ain't no pitch. It's a shoot, bro. We're not playing games. You (RVD) come to the table and it makes the tide rise. This company is going to even the score, then we're going to start spanking people consistently," Hogan said. "We don't have agendas, brother. We don't have families writing the show or brothers-in-law holding the titles. It's the first time you've got one of the boys running the business and there's no agenda."
A caller asked Hogan directly about the TNA comparions to WCW. Hogan made it clear that he doesn't want to be on television all the time despite what some people might think. Hogan made sure to mention, however, that his appearances "spiked the needle."
"We're throwing a bunch of stuff against the wall, seeing what spikes the needle minute by minute, and learning as we go along that some guys have no life at all and some guys have a lot of life. We're already maneuvering all the players around. You're going to see who we're going with more than others. You're going to see who we're really giving the super rocket up their rear end."
Hogan and RVD talked about how the "smart marks" have good points, TNA needs to be doing things that appeal to a mass audience.
"All these people you call the smart marks and I've been in the business 30 years and I'm still a mark. I'm not smartened up yet, brother. All of a sudden, people are saying, 'Why are you doing this and why are you doing that?' Do the marks know about the network - what Kevin Kay and Brian Diamond at Spike are asking and demanding? There's a whole 'nother world out there that all these people have an opinion on who's on TV too much, but they don't know what's happening with the network.
Hogan said TNA is in a transition period and they are working on getting over new stars like AJ Styles and Abyss.
"What we need to do with these young guys is breathe life into the characters. I came at AJ with this crazy idea of putting him with Flair and not just turning heel, but - I can't even tell you the name of the character - he's going through this transition right now."
"Abyss as he is right now only got him so far like the six-sided ring. They (TNA) were banging a less than 1.0 number for the last three or four years. Styles the way he is, Abyss the way he is, six-sided ring the way it was, it banged a certain number and that was it."
A WWE source reports that the company may not know yet exactly what they're going to do with the ECW Title when NXT debuts and most likely current ECW Champion Christian will end up on the SmackDown brand.
