Alex Marvez has an interview up with TNA star "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero at this link. During the interview, Dinero talks about making the jump from WWE (where he was Elijah Burke) to TNA and signing a long-term contract extension:
"I have absolutely nothing but positive thoughts about coming here. This is literally a stress-free environment. Everyone is just like a big family. This is my first time experiencing that. The funny part is that it seems (WWE) can only push one black wrestler at a time. God forbid you push two black guys at the same time. They've always had this problem. It's something I've been in discussion about with (TNA President) Dixie Carter because it's something I feel TNA needs to tackle even though I think they do a great job with diversity. Why it didn't happen in WWE? I have no idea."
NoDQ.com will have live coverage starting at 8PM EST/5PM PST. Here is the final lineup for Sunday's TNA Final Resolution PPV:

Cryme Tyme def. Dolph Ziggler & Mike Knox Vance Archer def. Tommy Dreamer MVP def. Jack Swagger
On WWE Superstars this week the WWE Universe watched as MVP even the score between himself and frequent rival Jack Swagger, while three other Superstars added to their already considerable momentum.

MVP def. Jack Swagger Fans of Raw are well familiar with the enmity between MVP and Jack Swagger, as the two have frequently found themselves circling one another like junkyard dogs. On the last WWE Superstars, the two ring warriors squared off with The All-American American leaving with his hand raised in victory. The previous weeks loss must have given The Ballin Superstar the motivation he needed however, as he took the fight to Swagger, ending the match with a decisive pin.
Vance Archer def. Tommy Dreamer Since his WWE debut, Vance Archer has terrorized ECW on Syfy, steamrolling through any competition brave enough to stand toe-to-toe with this intense young Superstar. Though he put up an impressive fight, Tommy Dreamer was unable to reverse this trend, falling victim to the still undefeated Archer. Can anyone hope to slow this aggressive ring warriors rise to the top?
Cryme Tyme def. Dolph Ziggler & Mike Knox WWE Superstars opened with a match-up between SmackDowns robbin hoods, JTG & Shad and their opponents, Dolph Ziggler & Mike Knox. Though Ziggler & Knox have both proven themselves to be formidable competitors in singles competition, ultimately it was the experienced tag-team know-how of Cryme Tyme that carried the day, as JTG pinned Big Mike Knox for the win.
According to a WWE source who would have full knowledge of the situation, Bret Hart has indeed signed a short-term talent contract with World Wrestling Entertainment,
The WWE Hall of Famer signed the this past week and it will cover the period from 1/1 to 4/10, or through WrestleMania and about two weeks after the 3/28 show at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ.
Hart simply told a reliable source that he wasn't going to lie about anything and thus wasn't going to comment on this story It was said that Hart wanted his signing to be kept quiet and his return to be a surprise, but that WWE couldn't help itself but all but announced it publicly on the first RAW after the ink was dry.
Over the last few weeks I've been hearing about a major overhaul of the TNA 'iMPACT! Zone' in Orlando, FL. I have been holding off on reporting anything until I could get further confirmation.
I've been told that Eric Bischoff's production company is the contractor logged in to oversee the overhaul. TNA has to notify lease agents, insurers and park officials of any construction activities because they can interrupt the filming of other productions on the lot.
I would expect a brand new set to debut on the January 4th TNA iMPACT!. There are also rumors about the six-sided ring being replaced by a 20 x 20 ring although I can't confirm that. I've sent off several emails and have not heard back just yet. Hulk Hogan has also said numerous times that he's not a fan of the six-sided ring.
I hope to have more information in the coming days. Stay tuned to eWrestlingNews.com.
A number of undercard performers are worried about their jobs since WWE typically cleans house following the holiday season and there's been ongoing discussions about changing the company's Tuesday night programming. It was reported earlier this week that the organization is expected to release several talents from the main roster early next year to coincide with the changes being made to the SmackDown and ECW brands.
Mickie James has finally commented on WWE's ongoing mockery of her weight as she feels "the example being set [to girls] is pathetic." Mickie made the comment while responding to a concerned fan who wrote to her on Twitter (http://twitter.com/mickiejamesdiva) regarding WWE cracking jokes about her weight. The worried fan wrote:
"I'm really offended right now with the WWE making jokes about your weight. I'm really worried about girls who watch wrestling, see this kind of thing, and fall victim to hating their bodies. Because honey, if youre not a perfect 10, I've never seen one. Why are they letting this charade happen?"
James responded with the following:
"Awe! Thank you, sweetie. And I agree. I think the example being set is pathetic. Giving the youth a warped perception of beauty. After all one has to love themselves first. Society makes that hard. No worries. I love myself and my body. 130 is hardly fat."
A short while later, a story broke online quoting James as saying WWE's handling of the storyline as "pathetic." The multi-time champion clarified her initial comments by responding with the following, "I never said WWE...if anyone read it, I said society. If people want to use quotes from my twitter please make sure you quote me correctly!"
While James did not specifically mention WWE in her response, the message which she responded to was completely related to her employer's ongoing mockery of her weight.
On his Twitter account, Kevin Nash teased an New World Order reunion in TNA. "Big Sexy" tweeted the following last week: "might see PAC Hogan Hall and Nash on tna together real soon" He also said he talked to Hall last week and said he "sounded great." For those unaware, "PAC" is Sean "X-Pac" Waltman.
F4WOnline.com reported that Kevin Nash is not a fan of Taz's announcing work and has been trying to bring Mark Madden into TNA to replace Taz.
Nash was quick to post a response to this report on his Twitter page:
"just found out i wanted Taz out and madden in. let me see dave meltzer. nash's christmas wish list.....more money for me, more money for me, thought Hogan was calling the shots, Terry how bout a raise 4 your old buddy Nash. N.W.O 4 life and in god we trust."
Former WWE diva and current TNA Knockout Christy Hemme has announced that she is retiring from in-ring competition. Hemme made the announcement herself last night during a podcast but mentioned that she will remain affiliated with TNA.
Hemme talked about how she found herself tense and nervous about possibly re-injuring her neck during a six-Knockouts tag match a few weeks back. The next day Hemme told TNA that she wasn't going to continue wrestling.
- Rob Van Dam has spoke with TNA President Dixie Carter about joining the company, but not Hulk Hogan, according to an interview with BetweenTheRopes.com.
Van Dam did not mention if he would be joining the company.
Knockout involved in a car accident Posted by Randy Gordon on 12/16/2009 at 01:42 PM
Velvet Sky was unable to attend her scheduled autograph signing in Newburgh, New York this past Saturday as she was involved in a car accident. The TNA Knockout wrote the following note on her MySpace account on Sunday:
"Sorry to all the fans who came to see me at Orange County Choppers yesterday. I got in a car accident on the way there. I'm ok. my truck is a dfferent story."
- To clear up an unfortunate rumor, Mick Foley is alive and well. Foley posted a blog today on his MySpace.com page saying a friend informed him of an Internet rumor that he had died. Foley wrote, "A friend of mine since middle school actually heard I had died on the Internet today. Just want to clear that one up. I am very much alive and well," Foley said. "I don't know how these things get started, but hopefully no one beside my friend took it seriously."

In mere minutes, their leader, William Regal, turned on The Moscow Mauler, hooking his leg, allowing Big Zeke to hit Kozlov with a Yurinagi for the victory, advancing in The ECW Homecoming. After the match, Kozlov attacked Regal, but Jackson intervened and he and Regal threw their former comrade into the ECW announce table. Now that Regal has sided with Jackson, who can Kozlov trust? How will Regal attempt to help Jackson earn an ECW Championship Match at Royal Rumble?
The Hurricane def. The Ripper (PHOTOS | WATCH) Good prevailed in the Land of the Extreme, as The Hurricane defeated The Ripper, earning some retribution in the process. The Ripper recently attacked The Hurricane during his match against Zack Ryder on WWE Superstars. But on Tuesday night, before The Hurricane bested The Ripper with a Shining Wizard for the victory, he unmasked his evil opponent to reveal his identity as Paul Burchill, as his sister, Katie Lea (aka The Beautiful Nightmare), looked on. Thus, neither Burchill nor The Ripper earned an ECW contract. Afterward, Gregory Helms met the devastated Burchills in the locker room area. (WATCH)

As embarrassing as it was, at least I won a Slammy, she quickly retorted to Washington, who was nominated but not a winner. You didnt get robbed! Ive seen your show

In a strange turn, WWE teased Bret Hart hosting an upcoming edition of RAW during this week's broadcast after Vince McMahon presented the Slammy for Guest Host of the Year alongside Dennis Miller. Vince asked Miller who he would book as guest host if it were up to him, to which he replied Bret "The Hitman" Hart. Vince said he didn't think Bret would be interested in doing anything. Miller then asked the audience. Following their applause, Miller said, "The people have spoken."

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Dennis Miller fancies himself a man of many talents: Comedian, actor, sports analyst and political commentator. Nothing, however, could have prepared the effusive entertainer for his latest honor, that of Raws special guest host during the 2009 Slammy Awards. (PHOTOS)
John Cena def. Randy Orton to win WWE Superstar of the Year (PHOTOS | WATCH) Only 24 hours since the sting of relinquishing his WWE Championship to Sheamus at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs, John Cena seemed determined to ease the pain by claiming the Slammy Award for WWE Superstar of the Year. The hurdle standing in his way? Randy Orton.
Having faced The Viper many times, Cena was familiar with the sly slither of his opponent. Armed with a familiarity of Orton, the former WWE Champ managed to counter a series of lethal maneuvers and clinch the victory with a devastating Attitude Adjustment.
As Cena caught his breath, new WWE Champion Sheamus stared him down from outside the ring.
Johnny Damon to serve as next weeks Raw special guest host Coming off an incredible World Series victory with the New York Yankees, outfielder Johnny Damon will attempt to knock it out of the park next week when he stops by Raw to serve as special guest host.
Michael Cole vomiting on Chris Jericho at SmackDowns 10th Anniversary won the Slammy Award for Oh My Moment of the Year (WATCH) Usually, accolades arent bestowed upon anyone for tossing their cookies. Well, the Slammy Awards are anything but usual. To prove that point, Michael Cole vomiting on Chris Jericho at SmackDowns 10th Anniversary took home the Slammy Award for Oh My Moment of the Year.

To remedy a lack of lovelies, a bevy of Divas competed in a 7-on-7 Divas Tag Match, including Mickie James, Divas Champion Melina, Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly, Brie and Nikki Bella & Maria against Womens Champion Michelle McCool, Layla, Beth Phoenix, Natalya, Maryse, Alicia Fox & Rosa Mendes. Afterward, the Diva of the Year Slammy Award was bestowed upon the sexy, smart and powerful woman who won the most votes exclusively on WWE.com. Your 2009 Slammy Award-winning Diva of the Year? None other than Maria!
John Morrison, Mark Henry & Yoshi Tatsu def. United States Champion The Miz, Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre & Zack Ryder (PHOTOS | WATCH) Drew McIntyres eye-gouging the night before at WWE: TLC looked about as appealing as a dish of haggis. That didnt stop the Scottish sensation, however, from capturing the Intercontinental Championship from John Morrison. One day later, McIntyre joined United States Champion The Miz & Zack Ryder against Morrison, Mark Henry & Yoshi Tatsu. While the championships were on one side, determination tipped the balance as Tatsu leveled Ryder for the victory.
Jeff Hardy at SummerSlam won the Slammy Award for Most Extreme Moment of the Year (WATCH) It didnt seem real at the time. How could it possibly be? Jeff Hardy stood poised atop a 20-foot ladder, his arms spread wide as an arena full of WWE faithful held their collective breath. Then it happened. He leaped from his precarious perch, tumbled through the air and nailed CM Punk with a brutal Swanton Bomb at SummerSlam. Result: Hardys moment captured the Slammy Award for Most Extreme Moment of the Year.
Accepting on his brother's behalf was Matt Hardy. Presenter Carlito interrupted the moment by punching Matt, but then got his comeuppance. Chris Masters snapped on The Masterlock and Matt returned the punch.
Chris Jericho & Big Show def. Unified Tag Team Champions DX by disqualification (PHOTOS | WATCH) Brawn, brains and a wicked sense of humor. You have to hand it to DX, the new Unified Tag Team Champions come prepared. After capturing the Unified Tag Team Titles last night, Triple H & Shawn Michaels probably expected Jeri-Show to enact their rematch clause. As a result, The Game appeared to purposefully shove the referee causing DX to lose by disqualification.
Since championships cannot change hands due to disqualification, DX retained. But that was only the beginning of Chris Jerichos troubles. The self-important Superstar soon realized that DXs actions meant that he no longer had reason to be on Raw. As a result, the Unified Tag Team Champions called some fellow Superstars to escort Jericho out of the arena. So long, Captain Vocabulary!
Bob Barker won the Slammy Award for Raw Guest Host of the Year (WATCH) Bob Barker, come on down, youre the winner of the Slammy Award for Raw Guest Host of the Year! The venerable game show host and animal advocate proved that he could match wits and muscle with more than a few Superstars when he hosted Raw, which earned him a coveted golden Slammy statuette.
Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker won the Slammy Award for Match of the Year; Randy Orton def. The Deadman (PHOTOS | WATCH | WATCH MATCH) For the second year running, Shawn Michaels has taken home one of the highest honors in WWE, the Slammy Award for Match of the Year. While HBK earned last years Slammy for his legendary victory over Ric Flair at WrestleMania XXIV, this year, Michaels repeats for the much ballyhooed bout he lost at The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania to The Undertaker. During his acceptance speech, HBK even went so far as to challenge The Phenom to a match at WrestleMania "one more time."
The Deadman may have claimed victory over Michaels in April, but tonight he faced a much more sinister foe, Randy Orton. The Viper utilized his Legacy henchmen, Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton, to lure Undertaker from the ring. Once outside the ring, The Phenom proved susceptible to count-out and dropped his match as a result.
None too pleased, the World Heavyweight Champion proceeded to demolish Rhodes & DiBiase.
CM Punk retiring Jeff Hardy won Shocker of the Year; John Cena def. CM Punk (PHOTOS | WATCH | WATCH MATCH) Despite having captured two World Heavyweight Championships and winning Money in the Bank for the second year in a row, CM Punk described retiring Jeff Hardy after their Steel Cage Match on SmackDown as his finest moment.
While The Straightedge Superstar also promised to prevail as WWE Superstar of the Year, his hopes were dashed in minutes when he met up with John Cena. Perhaps compensating for his loss to Sheamus at WWE: TLC, Cena showcased his considerable strength and skills against the holier-than-thou opponent to move onto the winner of the Undertaker vs. Randy Orton match. Cena then shared his thoughts with the WWE Universe: He will not lose another match before regaining the WWE Title!
Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase def. Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne (PHOTOS | WATCH) What started out as a match between Kofi Kingston and Cody Rhodes quickly devolved into a melee meltdown when Ted DiBiase ran in with Evan Bourne fast on his heels. Before the four could go too far off the reservation, guest host Dennis Miller announced the four in a tag team bout.
Like their Legacy leader, Randy Orton, did the night before, Rhodes and DiBiase wanted to disarm The Dreadlock Dynamo. Rather than hit Kofi directly, though, the pair targeted his aerial ally and scored the win by pinning Bourne.
Sheamus won the Slammy Award for Breakout Star of the Year (WATCH) Sheamus deserves to be taken seriously, period. That much was clear the night before at WWE: TLC when The Celtic Warrior defeated John Cena in a Tables Match to earn the WWE Championship. That accomplishment alone made the recipient of the nights next Slammy Award, Breakout Star of the Year, almost a foregone conclusion. When Sheamus was announced the winner, the Irishman boasted that hes better than a host of Hall of Famers and that Cena will never pry the championship away from him.
ECW Champion Christian, Kane and The Great Khali def. William Regal, Ezekiel Jackson & Vladimir Kozlov (PHOTOS | WATCH) William Regal and his Ruthless Roundtable of Ezekiel Jackson & Vladimir Kozlov have suffered their fair share of tribulations in the past, but the Englishman appeared determined to set aside any differences and take the fight to ECW Champion Christian.
For his part, Christian, who retained his championship in a Ladder Match against Shelton Benjamin the night before, assembled a towering triumvirate of his own, including Kane & The Great Khali. The ECW Champions trifecta proved too much for Regal and his goon squad to handle.
Four nominees battled to determine WWE Superstar of the Year Tonight saw World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker vs. Randy Orton as well as John Cena vs. CM Punk. The winners of these matches faced off later in the evening to determine who would take home WWE Superstar of the Year honors.
Chris Jericho & Big Show won the Slammy Award for Tag Team of the Year; Jericho invoked rematch clause (WATCH) The evening got off to a bittersweet start for Jeri-Show. Just one night after losing their Unified Tag Team Titles to Triple H & Shawn Michaels at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs, Chris Jericho & Big Show accepted the Slammy Award for Tag Team of the Year. After soaking up accolades, mostly from himself, Jericho informed the WWE Universe that he and The Worlds Largest Athlete would invoke their rematch clause for a title match against DX later that night.
