Many have described Kevin Nash's current situation with TNA as very weird as those within TNA stated Nash did fax a contract back to the company last week and key people internally were told he signed. Nash stated on last week's In Your Head radio show that he has yet to sign a new deal with TNA.
The feeling was that TNA could have been starting an angle when they pulled his profile from the website, although that doesn't appear to be likely. The other scenario is that Nash did fax the contract back and didn't agree to merchandising terms, although that isn't clear right now either. The belief among many within TNA is that Nash has signed and will remain with the company as it appears he has agreed to most terms and is simply telling friends he hasn't signed officially yet.

At a Maryland Championship Wrestling show last month, Mercury said he was going to be back in WWE by the end of the year. Mercury was released from his WWE contract on March 26, 2007 due to issues with drugs. Weve posted before that CM Punk is playing a role in getting his friend Mercury back into WWE.

Raw General Manager Mike Adamle announced that if Rey Mysterio loses his No Mercy match to Kane, then he must remove his mask; Randy Orton interrupted, but was in turn cut-off by JBL, who was attacked by Batista. (PHOTOS) Adamle explained to the WWE Universe that earlier in the evening, he told Kane he would grant a request to him if the Big Red Monster won his match. Since Kane was indeed victorious, Adamle added a stipulation to the 7-footers match against Rey Mysterio: If the Ultimate Underdog is defeated, he must remove his mask in the middle of the ring. Directly afterward, Adamle was interrupted by Randy Orton, demanding that the GM re-suspend CM Punk. Before he could finish, however, JBL made his entrance, taking exception to the Legend Killers certainty that he will once again become World Heavyweight Champion. But in an act of retaliation for earlier in the evening, Batista entered the ring and speared the self-made millionaire.
Kane, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase & Manu def. Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne when Kane chokeslammed Kofi. (WATCH | PHOTOS) The multi-generational team of the World Tag Team Champions & Manu were joined by the Big Red Monster in their match against a group of men they all have ill will toward. In spite of Kanes earlier claim that he would massacre Rey Mysterio, it was Kofi Kingston who felt the wrath of the 7-footer, who trampled over the competition on his way to victory.
Jamie Noble & Mickie James def. Paul & Katie Lea Burchill when Jamie forced Paul to tap out. (PHOTOS) Earlier in the night, Jamie Noble searched for a tag team partner for his match against the Burchill siblings, but was turned down by Jillian, who went so far as to mock the Superstar with her rendition of Becks Loser. But her performance was interrupted by the entrance of Dolph Ziggler, who continued his habit of introducing himself to various Raw Superstars. Just prior to the match, things got even worse for Noble as the 2008 King of the Ring and Nobles rival for Laylas affections William Regal took a seat on the entranceway, with the lovely Diva at his side. Before the bell rang however, former Womens Champion Mickie James rushed to the ring, and with her help, Noble was able make Paul Burchill tap out.

(WATCH | PHOTOS) Marella again used the Honk-A-Meter to display his progress in beating the Honky Tonk Mans record Intercontinental Title reign, and also brought out the Brain-Barometer to demonstrate his mental powers supposed superiority over Batista. The Animal was all business as he worked over the Italian Superstar, finishing him off with a Batista Bomb. After Batista pinned the Italian Superstar, Women's Champion Beth Phoenix distracted The Animal, allowing his No Mercy opponent, JBL, to brutally assault him.
WWE Champion Triple H & Jeff Hardy def. Montel Vontavious Porter & The Brian Kendrick Maria & Brie Bella def. Natalya & Victoria The Great Khali vs. Vladimir Kozlov (No Contest) Chavo Guerrero def. Jimmy Wang Yang Carlito & Primo def. Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder (new WWE Tag Team Champions)
COLUMBUS, Ohio To kick off SmackDown, fans at Ohio State University were treated to a blockbuster match-up that had all the makings for a main event that might normally cap off a night of action.
In an unlikely pairing, WWE Champion Triple H joined forces with his No Mercy opponent, Jeff Hardy, to take on Montel Vontavious Porter and The Brian Kendrick. Putting their differences aside, The Game and Hardy were able to earn a victory when The King of Kings nailed MVP with a Pedigree for the pinfall. (Watch | Photos)
After the win, Hardy and Triple H shook hands. But at No Mercy, animosity will reign as championship gold is on the line. No Mercy preview
Kozlov still undefeated Vladimir Kozlov had never encountered anyone like the 7-foot-3, 420-pound The Great Khali. In a clash of styles, the two beasts locked horns. Using a rolling wheel kick, Guerrero took down Yang to get the pinfall. But after the match, the house lights went out momentarily, sending Chavo into a panic. It was an ominous sign of things to come later in the night when Undertaker choked Chavo in GM Vickie Guerreros office, then suddenly appeared in the ring to decimate the GM with a hard-hitting Tombstone. - "The King Of The Mountain" Jeff Jarrett opened up the broadcast by announcing that next week on iMPACT, wrestling icon Mick Foley will officially join Total Nonstop Action!

Tune in to the next "iMPACT!" for more news on Jarrett's in-ring return on October 12 against Angle!
- In tag team action, Matt Morgan and Abyss defeated The Rock N' Rave Infection. After the bout, Team 3D came out and hurled insults at Abyss and Morgan and challenged them to an open invitation Monster's Ball match at Bound For Glory. Abyss obviously wasn't happy about competing in the Monster's Ball bout.
- In Knockouts action, Awesome Kong defeated newcomer Mercedes Steel. After the bout, Kong attempted to continue the punishment, but Raisha Saeed - or so we thought - attacked Kong! Saeed unmasked to reveal it was really Roxxi!

- In the broadcast main event, Booker T defeated AJ Styles after smashing AJ with the mysterious bag. Christian Cage tried to get involved to help AJ, but it only resulted in miscommunication between the two friends as AJ and Cage argued as the broadcast ended.
Latest on Batista taking time off Credit: Wrestling Observer
- Batista did request to take some time off shortly after Wrestlemania 24, but was talked out of it due to a lack of depth on the WWE talent roster. Apparently Batista feels he will never return to his status three years ago when he was the hottest star in the company, and his program with Triple H was a box office success. Batista has also talked about trying his luck in Hollywood.
WWE Monday Night RAW drew a 3.1 rating this week, up from the 2.6 the show drew last week. The first hour drew a 3.01, and the second hour drew a 3.09.
This Monday Night Football rating dropped from a 13.3 last week to an 8.9 this week, allowing for WWE to bounce back somewhat. Nevertheless, RAWs numbers are still down compared to what the show had been doing before football season. Fall competition from the NFL is nothing new to WWE, and they havent suffered a ratings drop like last weeks since before the Attitude era.
SmackDown superstar MVP did a Q&A with USA Today to promote WWE's move to MyNetworkTV next week. When asked what WWE superstar from the past or present that he'd like to wrestle, he said The Rock. Finlay def. Bam Neely Maryse def. Divas Champion Michelle McCool Non-title Mike Knox def. Chase Stevens John Morrison vs. The Miz Double count-out
COLUMBUS, OH - After The Dirt Sheets John Morrison and The Miz (WATCH "The Dirt Sheet") were forced to battle each other until neither Superstar could answer the referees count on ECW on Sci Fi, the undefeated Ricky Ortiz emerged to leave them both in the dust. (WATCH ECW's QUICK CUT)
The fuse was lit early on when the self-proclaimed Chick Magnet and the Tuesday Night Delight emerged with tremendous criticism of ECW General Manager Theodore Longs New Superstar Initiative, being particularly critical of Ortiz and fellow Initiative Superstar Evan Bourne. But, after proclaiming that either one of them could beat any other Superstar, Long thought it would be fitting that Miz and Morrison get in the ring against one another, with the winner facing Ortiz immediately afterward.
However, things never got that far. After Miz and Morrison grappled to an intense double count-out, leaving no opponent for Ortiz to face, the young Superstar refused to be denied. He emerged with gusto, splashing both of his potential adversaries and showing them just how tough Longs new Superstars really are. (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Strong words from a strong man Mark Henry appeared before the WWE Universe with some very strong words for ECW Champion Matt Hardy, reminding the WWE Universe that he has never been pinned by the reigning champion. But, can The Worlds Strongest Man reverse the course of history and take back his gold at No Mercy? (Read more on this story...)

All-American beat down After being destroyed in a brutal match against the rough and ready Mike Knox, a nearly unconscious Chase Stevens was suddenly attacked by the All-American American Jack Swagger. Last week, one source described his signing as "imminent." Mysterio also had talks with the AAA promotion out of Mexico. CM Punk def. World Tag Team Champion Cody Rhodes Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella def. Deuce in a non-title match Kane def. Evan Bourne Kelly Kelly def. Women's Champion Beth Phoenix in a non-title match The Miz & John Morrizon def. Cryme Tyme World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho, JBL & Lance Cade def. Shawn Michaels & Batista
CINCINNATI Since July, General Manager Mike Adamle has been allowed to run Raw as he sees fit, but on Monday night, on Raws historic 800th episode, Shane McMahon made a surprise appearance, reversing one of Adamles decisions, and setting both the tone for the night and its main event: World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho & JBL vs. Shawn Michaels & Batista. (WATCH | PHOTOS)
The contest presaged two of the most anticipated matches of No Mercy: World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels in a Ladder Match for the title, and Batista vs. JBL with No. 1 contender status being bestowed upon the winner. However, as is typical of Jerichos underhanded dealings, he convinced Adamle to exercise his authority and change the match set by Shane McMahon. The GM added the World Heavyweight Champions protégé, Lance Cade, as a third member of Jericho & JBLs team, tilting things in their favor. Though Michaels is known for fighting back against incredible odds, it was just too much for him, as his former student, Cade, pinned him, winning the match. (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Monster mash Though Kane was already scheduled to face off against ECWs Evan Bourne, that wasnt enough for him, as he approached GM Adamle, stating that he also wanted to face Rey Mysterio, who had been aided by Bourne in past weeks to cut the Big Red Monster down to size. With Shane McMahon looking on, Adamle granted the 7-footers request, setting Rey Mysterio vs. Kane as another one of the scintillating matches at No Mercy.
Though Air Bournes high-flying maneuvers had taken out Kane in the past, this week they just werent enough. The Big Red Monster defeated the ECW Superstar, and continued to beat on him even after the bell rang. Kanes No Mercy opponent, Rey Mysterio rushed to the ring to help Bourne, but even the Master of the 619 couldnt put a stop to the Big Red Monsters rampage. (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Hit the Rhodes, Jack While many Superstars are focused on No Mercy, some still have their minds set on Unforgiven. CM Punk had some words to share with Randy Orton because of the punt to the head he received courtesy of the Legend Killer, which ultimately caused him to lose the World Heavyweight Championship at Unforgiven. Despite the third-generation Superstars warning that anyone who touches him will be suspended by Mike Adamles decree, Punk hit the smug Orton anyway. Before the GM could suspend him though, Shane McMahon the fourth-generation Superstar pulled rank and reversed Adamles decision, then set a match between CM Punk and World Tag Team Champion Cody Rhodes.
Punk was victorious in the match-up, but directly afterward, Rhodes second-generation allies, fellow World Tag Team Champion Ted DiBiase and Manu, rushed the ring with ill intent. Before much damage could be done however, Kofi Kingston joined the fray, and helped Punk chase their adversaries from the ring. (PHOTOS)
Glam slam Though he was still nursing an injured face and bruised pride after his confrontation with Batista last week, Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella went on to defeat Deuce, continuing his not-yet-impressive five-week run holding the title. Before the match, however, Batista caught the Italian champion and his ladyfriend, Womens Champion Beth Phoenix, talking bad about him. Their loose lips would come back to haunt them later in the night, when The Glamazon took on Kelly Kelly. (PHOTOS)
In spite of the Womens Champions superior strength, Kelly Kelly scored a pin due to a botched distraction from Santino. Looking to exact revenge, the combined Glamarella were about to brutalize Kelly after the match when Batista himself ran in, spearing the Intercontinental Champion and defending the Diva.
Hard Tyme In one of Raws two tag team match-ups, Cryme Tyme squared off against former WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison. The contest was a result of the two teams taking shots at one another in their WWE.com Exclusive web-shows: Cryme Tymes Word Up and The Dirt Sheet with Miz & Morrison. Though Shad & JTG had hoped to shut up the arrogant ECW Superstars, it was the Shaman of Sexy & the self-proclaimed chick magnet who stood tall, picking up the win. (WATCH | PHOTOS)

According to a fan in attendance at last night's SmackDown tapings in Columbus, Ohio, Undertaker appeared to aggravate a knee injury during the dark match main event.
He was attacked by Curt Hawkins, Zach Ryder and Bam Neely during his match with Big Show, but eventually cleared the ring. He posed for the crowd and walked for a few minutes before momentarily sitting down on the ring steps before heading to the back.
"Honestly, he looked pretty bad off," the fan in attendance said. "He was sitting there like he was so exhausted he couldn't make it up the ramp. He finally walked up the ramp, but he was limping pretty badly. It wasn't a little limp, it was very noticeable."
Of course, he could be selling the injury, but he was playing to the crowd before sitting down.
As reported earlier, he recently had his knee checked by doctors and WWE has been limiting his involvement in the ring since his match with Edge at SummerSlam. Taker has been appearing on television in non-wrestling segments and has been working tag matches for the most part so that his partner could handle most of the work in the ring. Undertaker has been telling friends that his knee is still tender and that there is some soreness.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. Vladimir Kozlovs demand for better competition has quickly snowballed into an eastern promise of destruction. Once again, his rage turned volatile, bringing unsuspected carnage on both WWE Champion Triple H and No. 1 contender Jeff Hardy.
Just when it looked as if Ezekiel Jacksons distracting presence would help provide The Brian Kendrick with another victory, Jeff Hardy suddenly countered for the win. But as The Legend Thriller showed his appreciation to the WWE Universe, the Moscow Mauler emerged to deliver his explosive boot, dropping Hardy for the second week in a row. (WATCH) (PHOTOS)
Later in the evening, WWE Champion Triple H proved victorious in a hard fought non-title match with Montel Vontavious Porter. WWE has been restricting Undertaker's in-ring participation as of late due to soreness in his knee, reports www.prowrestling.NET. Taker had minor surgery on it during his layoff, but came back early for his match with Edge at SummerSlam. Since his return, he's been limited to tag matches for the most part to keep his workload light. Nonetheless, his knee is said to be improving and it's only a matter of time before he works more singles matches.
Tennessean.com has revealed details regarding Jeff Hardy's incident at a Nashville airport yesterday.
Hardy was denied boarding a Southwest Airline flight to his home in North Carolina after appearing intoxicated at the Nashville International Airport's Southwest gate, according to Southwest spokesman Chris Mainz.
An employee reported Hardy's suspicious behavior and he was denied entry to the flight. Hardy was not arrested and was offered to take a later flight.
"He was very cooperative and there was no altercation," Mainz said. "There was no need to get police."
Hardy declined the airline's offer and made other arrangements.
Former WWE star Damian Demento has announced in a blog post on his MySpace page that he's planning on returning to the ring.
Demento wrote: "At fifty years of age I decided to come out of retirement and get back into the ring. Not as Phillip Thies, but as a new Damian Demento. I'm designing an outfit that will incorporate some aspects of the old gimmick and mix in a more contemporary Gothic style. Because I don't trust anybody currently involved in wrestling, I'll only book a good friend of mine to work with on Indy shows. And yes, I'll use the Damian Demento name. If after 16 years the WWE wants to ridicule me in their magazine, I'm using the name. Let's see if they come after me with their building full of lawyers in Stamford Connecticut."
Apparently his ring name will be "The New Damian Demento." Demento wrote: "Now, to answer those who may think I'm too old to make a comeback. For the next three months I will do whatever I have to do to increase muscle mass, lower body fat, and improve my endurance. AND I MEAN WHATEVER I HAVE TO DO! You can read into that what you want. I will document the physical changes my body goes through with pictures and post them online so everybody can follow my progress. You will see for yourselves that I'm very serious about this next phase of my life. I already have several Indy promoters on the East Coast interested in booking "The New Damian Demento." But it gets even more interesting. Just wait until I release the type of matches I'll be performing. You may not believe what you'll hear."
