WWE Leaving Hornswoggle Out of GM Storyline? Posted by Steve Carrier on 11/30/2014 at 11:39 AM It's worth noting that WWE's website has a playlist of Anonymous General Manager videos and asks, "who is the Anonymous RAW General Manager?"
It's been pointed out by fans online and by people within WWE how they are apparently ignoring that Hornswoggle was revealed as the Anonymous GM back on July 9th, 2012. The playlist on WWE's website has the segment with CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and AJ Lee from July 9th but there is no mention of Hornswoggle.
Furthermore, WWE is teasing on their website that we may "finally learn the identity of this shady GM" on this week's Cyber Monday RAW.
Backstage Reaction to Podcast with CM Punk Posted by Steve Carrier on 11/29/2014 at 08:07 AM
Even with CM Punk having a number of detractors in WWE, Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline.com was told that virtually everybody in WWE who listened to the recent Art of Wrestling podcast with Colt Cabana "thought it was awesome."
Alvarez said, "Now if you know CM Punk, CM Punk is a guy who has his loversmaybe that's the wrong wordhe has his fans, and he has his detractors. There's a group of people in WWE who are big fans of CM Punk, and there are people in WWE who just can't stand the guy. When he left, I heard from people that were like, 'Thank God this guy has left! He drove us crazy. He was so angry.' When he did his podcast with Colt Cabana, he admitted that at the end, he was actually sorry for how many times he told people to f--k off. When it happened, I had been told from people that he was so miserable, he was such as a crabby individual, they were glad he was finally gone out of the locker room because they couldn't handle him anymore. Now with that said, the impression that I got was, even people who did not like CM Punk, even people who really thought he was a miserable guy and were not CM Punk's fans in the slightest, they were fans of a lot of the stuff that he talked about in the podcast."
He continued, "It is true, there are a lot of guys in the company who are afraid to speak out, they're afraid to say anything, they're afraid to approach management, they're afraid to ask questions, and CM Punk got a lot of that out in the podcast. And he opened a lot of people's eyes that didn't know anything about what goes on internally in WWE. So there were even people that don't like CM Punk and don't want him back in the company, who are happy that he did this podcast and said everything that he said."
Alvarez said Vince McMahon is upset with Punk, but he's not "fuming." With the WWE Network airing a live "Stone Cold" Steve Austin podcast with the WWE Chairman and CEO immediately following Raw next Monday, Alvarez was told that it is very unlikely that he will talk about the matter in-depth. If he does, the feeling is that he will offer a "corporate answer."
Paul "Triple H" Levesque was among those hit the hardest in Punk's two-hour long speech as The Straight Edge Superstar addressed his issues with the WWE executive throughout the show. During his meeting with Levesque and McMahon that led to his exit from WWE, Punk went off on Levesque for not putting him over in 2011 when he was riding high on the momentum from his infamous "pipe bomb" promo in Las Vegas, Nevada. Upon being told by McMahon that he would be wrestling Levesque in a 'main event' at WrestleMania 30, Punk recalled turning to Hunter to say, 'All due respect, I do not need to wrestle you, you need to wrestle me. I do not want to wrestle you. I seriously resent you for not putting me over three years ago when you should have. That would have been best for business but you had to f--king come in and squash it. And then I had to lose to f--king Truth and Miz. It didn't make any business sense then, it doesn't make any business sense now, and I am in a position now where I can tell you that I don't have to nor do I want to wrestle you at WrestleMania. I don't care if I was supposed to win.'"
Punk then noted, "Which I was. I didn't care. I didn't want to give him the f--king privilege. I said a lot of s--t in there. I told them again and Hunter, he was gritting his teeth and I knew... he never liked me. It's one of those situations where you always hear those stories in the dirt sheets about 'Hunter says this about Punk' and all this negative stuff but me and him in a room together? Never any good vibes. Always negative, the way he would always look sideways at me, the way he always treated me."
According to Alvarez, Levesque is furious with Punk over his remarks. He said he received a text message from a person in WWE reading 'Triple H wants to kill Punk.'"
Alvarez added that Levesque, as well his wife, Stephanie McMahon, have 'an abject hatred' for Punk. He is also considered to be on their no-call list.
WWE officials are also extremely unhappy with Cabana. Cabana, who was being courted by the organization for an announcing role as recently as last year. He is said to now be on their "s--tlist."
CM Punk Speaks on His WWE Departure Posted by Steve Carrier on 11/27/2014 at 08:05 AM
Former WWE Superstar CM Punk has finally spoken out about his WWE departure on the latest episode of Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling podcast. It's a very in-depth interview with Punk going into detail about his health, last few months with WWE, his departure and what happened after that. The full interview is available on iTunes now. Below are a few highlights:
* He left after the Royal Rumble mainly because of his health. He talked about working with broken ribs, a concussion and bad knees during his last months with the company. Punk was so sick during last November's European tour that he was throwing up and dry heaving every night after his matches. He had a fever for months and no appetite. WWE doctors gave him so many antibiotics that he had an accident in the ring on SmackDown, all while watching his paychecks shrink. He said it was the worst he's ever felt in his life.
* He suffered a concussion early during the Royal Rumble match but still worked. He passed a concussion test the next day and called the testing "bullshit." WWE informed he passed but wanted him to run the ring ropes and evaluate him. Punk then demanded that they just decide he has a concussion and admitted that he had been trying to deny he was hurt and just tough it out.
Punk says that same day he was being pressured about taking a drug test and signing visas for future tours instead of listening to his requests for help because something was obviously wrong. Punk then told Vince McMahon and Triple H that he was going home. Punk says he told off Triple H about cutting off his momentum in 2011 and complained to Vince for stifling Punk's creativity. He says he told them both it was garbage how Daniel Bryan wasn't being considered for the WrestleMania XXX main event. Punk says he told them he didn't want to do this anymore and was done. Vince was in tears when he hugged Punk goodbye and told him he was family.
* However, Punk was actually fired from WWE. After he left in January, he was told a few weeks later by Vince McMahon through text message that he was being suspended for two months. This was the day before Vince told WWE shareholders that Punk had taken a sabbatical. Punk heard from no one in WWE once the suspension was over and received termination papers for breach of contract on his wedding day in June.
* Punk says he hired a very vicious lawyer to go after WWE and fight their claim of breach of contract. In the end, he got a settlement that gave him everything he asked for and more. Punk's not allowed to talk about the settlement. He said they are done and will never have a working relationship again. Punk says WWE wanted to issue a joint statement with him but he told them to "f*** off." WWE was worried he would go to TNA but Punk's lawyer told WWE that he despises wrestling now and will never wrestle again.
* He said wrestling Ryback took "20 years off his life" and described Ryback as "steroid guy."
WWE Considering Surprise for Royal Rumble Match Posted by Steve Carrier on 11/22/2014 at 11:51 AM
- PWInsider reports that WWE officials have been talking about possibly using an ECW Original or two as a surprise at the 2015 WWE Royal Rumble, since it's being held in Philadelphia.
- WWE Diva Paige quoted Jake "The Snake" Robert on Twitter with this line:
According to Jason Powell ofProWrestling.net, Ring of Honor upper-management - Sinclair Broadcasting - were discussing the process of beginning to remove all ROH contracted talent from independent appearances, including Pro Wrestling Guerilla, out of Reseda, California. We can now confirm that this report is true and that ROH has began contacting independent promoters notifying them that their talent are hereby pulled from independent appearances. The first to officially confirm this was the promoter of DREAMWAVE Wrestling, Jay Repsel.
This means that there are high probabilities that Ricochet will win his match against Kyle O'Reilly on PWG's Black Cole Sun. I think this is a smart decision by ROH that should be done time ago. ROH needs exclusivity and something that makes us want to watch their shows.
Earlier in the week, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio claimed in an interview that he had plans to wrestle for two televised companies in 2015. Those two companies are reportedly AAAs Lucha Underground and TNA Wrestling.
This past weekend, Del Rio made appearances in the Northeast including Tommy Dreamers House Of Hardcore event in Philadelphia. He did make his intentions known that he plans to work for Lucha Underground and TNA in 2015.
TNA Wrestler Ethan Carter III is slated to undergo biceps surgery today. Sadly, the expectation is that Carter will be out of action for between 4-6 months.
TNA is set to announce a new television deal, this according to reports by PWInsider.com. Their reports indicate that rumors circulating within the company is that TNA will announce a new network deal following Impact Wrestling this coming week.
The planned Best of Impact Wrestling episodes have reportedly been scrapped this Wednesdays Impact Wrestling episode on Spike could be the very last show on the network , according to PWInsider.
PWInsider.com is reporting that Ethan Carter III has torn a bicep and will be out of action. Carter was expected to wrestle Tommy Dreamer at Dreamers upcoming House of Hardcore event. The injury will require surgery and is being scheduled for sometime next week.
There's at least some speculation within WWE that Kofi Kingston and Big E will be involved in the "A New Day" gimmick with Xavier Woods. Big E and Kofi have not been featured in the new Woods vignettes that have aired.

RUMOR: TNA Impact Wrestling Could Possibly Stay On Spike TV
PWInsider.com is reporting that there are indications that TNA Impact Wrestling will end up staying on SpikeTV. A source at Spike TV confirmed that TNA and Spike TV are still in negotiations. A source in TNA noted that the two sides have never ceased negotiations and there was always a possibility that TNA would stick with Spike TV. With this news comes word that TNA could possibly accept less money than they are currently receiving from Spike.
WWE: Daniel Bryan May Never Return As Active Wrestler
Daniel Bryan has received some pretty terrible news, which we detailed with a bit more optimism on October 29. However, a new report that surfaced at Cageside Seats today indicates that optimism may be wishful thinking.
During the sites daily rumor roundup, it was said that unnamed sources within the WWE are operating on the assumption that there is no timetable for a Daniel Bryan return. In fact, theyre starting to entertain that its even possible he may not return at all.
The Wrestling Observeradds that word among wrestlers is that he may need major elbow surgery, which could make him a hazard to himself and his opponents, especially considering his high-risk in-ring work.
Bryan (aka Bryan Danielson) has been well-loved among fans since his Ring of Honor days from 2002 to 2005. He represents the last of a dying breed the wrestler who could make it onto the big stage without being a strictly WWE creation.
Moving forward, it will be increasingly difficult for other stars to bring their celebrity with them into the company while making it to the top.
And make it to the top, Bryan did. In April at WrestleMania 30, he was booked over Triple H in a singles match and then won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship later that night in a triple-threat match against Randy Orton and Batista.
Unfortunately, it wasnt long after that that the surgery, the title-strip, and the indefinite hiatus came about.
If its true that Daniel Bryan may not come back at all, then weve essentially witnessed another promising pro wrestling career cut short due to injury. While the circumstances of this case are different, they are reminiscent of Terry Allen (aka Magnum T.A.), who was one of the hottest babyface stars of the 1980s until a car accident ended his run just six years from the time he wrestled his first match.
Daniel Bryan has at least had a longer run than Magnum T.A., having started the business in 1999, but it wasnt until this past WrestleMania that fans finally felt he was getting his due. To have that end now is tragic.
Its also another bit of bad news for the company, which received a less-than-stellar result from its Q3 report this week. With one of its most-over stars on the shelf through next years WrestleMania and possibly for good, WWE needs a hero.
What do you think, readers? Is Daniel Bryan gone for good? What do you think it will mean for the WWE?
BACKSTAGE NEWS ON WWE PUNISHING CESARO FOR BEING CRITICAL OF CENA-ORTON FEUD
Published On October 29, 2014 by Matt Boone (Wrestling News, WWE News)
antonio-cesaro-ses-2
There is a feeling that Cesaros recent losing streak could be a result of him being critical of another John Cena vs. Randy Orton feud during a recent media interview.
Cesaro made the following comment:
It is a new era of guys. Its a new generation, and its a lot of fun to watch that because there are fresh match-ups. I mean, Im sick of seeing John Cena against Randy Orton for the 500th time. Its great that we have some new, young guys that can come out and provide absolutely great match-ups and for the fans there are fresh, exciting matches and things to watch.
Days after making that comment, Cesaro lost in two straight falls at the Hell In A Cell pay-per-view and was then destroyed by Dean Ambrose on RAW the next night.

- It was reported this past week that Randy Orton may have re-aggravated a back injury in the RAW main event. There has been no confirmation that Orton is injured but he is not on the official internal injury list. This does not mean Orton isn't hurt but it's probably not a serious injury.
On a related note, Orton mentioned on Twitter that he asked for a "RKO Outta Nowhere" t-shirt a few weeks back but hasn't received an answer. A fan asked Orton when we will get a shirt like that and Orton replied, "When they make room for something other than Cena merch."
