Bully Ray Asks Fans Whether He Should Stay in TNA Posted by Steve Carrier on 08/09/2012 at 02:02 PM
According to PWInsider.com, Bully Ray's contract with TNA Wrestling will expire in three weeks and negotiations for a new deal have been tense. Ray appeared to address his immediate future with the organization via Twitter with a survey: "Shakespear time kids. "To stay or not to stay, that is the question". Lets hear YOUR opinion. #BULLYNATION."
He then wrote, "WOW! Helluva response. Looks 50/50. Let the "boss lady" know how ya feel. Light up her #TwittahMachine like a flamin table. #BULLYNATION."
- Former WWE star Shelton Benjamin is currently working in Japan but says he has no plans to join TNA anytime soon. He wrote on Twitter:
"Since so many keep asking, I have no plans to got to TNA. Not saying never. but no time soon. Don't take that as a knock against TNA. Just though I'd throw that in cause people like to create bs out of a simple answer to a question."
Backstage News on Wade Barrett's Return to WWE TV Posted by Steve Carrier on 08/09/2012 at 09:34 AM
- WWE will air the Wade Barrett vignettes on RAW and SmackDown until the SummerSlam pay-per-view is over. Barrett will then return to WWE TV. Barrett is currently on tour with the SmackDown brand in Japan.
Barrett's return to the ring was delayed several times. Originally, WWE officials wanted to bring him back at Money in the Bank, have him win a World Heavyweight Title shot and then either begin to chase for the title or actually capture it at SummerSlam.
With that said, Barrett is in line for a run with one of WWE's major singles titles.

Velvet Sky will likely not be returning to TNA, even though company officials
want her back. Dixie Carter has been in talks with Sky about a return to the
company but as of now, nothing has been worked out. She will reunite with
Angelina Love at an upcoming indy show in Brooklyn, New York to tag against
Maria Kanellis and Winter on October 6th.
In a sign that Winter could be departing TNA Wrestling in the near future, the
sparingly seen Knockout is advertised to appear on iPPV for Pro Wrestling
Syndicate's subsidiary female promotion, B.L.O.W. Wrestling, on October 11event
taking place at the Rahway Recreation Center in Rahway, New Jersey. Though
contracted TNA Wrestling talent are permitted to appear for independent
wrestling promotions, they are prohibited from appearing on shows which are
broadcast.
The British wrestling standout's role in TNA has been greatly
deemphasized since Bruce Prichard took over the creative reins in October as she
has been sparingly used and has yet to return to the title scene. Her last
television appearance took place over four months ago on April 6. She has
competed for independent groups in the meantime.
Jericho and Nash exchange words online Posted by Aaron Rift on 08/08/2012 at 01:42 AM
Chris Jericho posted the following on Twitter in response to a Kevin Nash interview where he criticized the World Title runs of Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero:
"Funny how @realkevinnash says wrestling died when Benoit and Guerrero were champs-Yet the worst year for WWE biz was 95 when he was on top"
Kevin Nash then posted the following response to Jericho:
"Once again the puppet master pulls the marks strings .Knew Jericho was a closet mark.First one eliminated on a bullshit sing show...REALLY!!"
Maria Airs Out Kelly Kelly's Dirty Laundry Posted by Steve Carrier on 08/07/2012 at 09:38 PM
While recapping Monday's episode of Raw for Maria Menounos' media network AfterBuzzTV.com, former WWE performer Maria Kanellis used the open forum to make some cryptic remarks concerning Kelly Kelly.
The WWE Diva appeared on Raw for the first time in over two months and scored a singles match victory over Eve following a surprise hurricanrana. "There was a lot of speculation that [Kelly Kelly] was leaving for good. So they must have come to terms on her contract and she's still here," Kanellis states.
Co-host Josh Padgett and special guest Nigel McGuinness then ask Kanellis whether she had "backstage heat" with Kelly, who she worked alongside with in WWE from 2006 to 2010. Kanellis responds in a cryptic manner.
"I just think that sometimes you gotta be careful what photos end up on the Internet when people are involved with other people because it makes us girls that work our tails off to be very good individuals and be good at our job look trashy," stated Kanellis, who prides herself in being a 'Lady'.
McGuinness says he never saw "those photos" and feels that Kelly should set up her own website. "Trending now, naked pictures of Kelly Kelly," he jokes. "The First Lady of Ring of Honor" responds, "I don't mind those, naked it up if you're by yourself, but if you're with someone else's someone else...I don't like that. Scandalous and I don't like it. It's exact opposite of what I'm about. I think that you have to be careful with that stuff. Especially if you're trying to change..."
At this point, Kanellis is directed by the producer to talk about Kelly's match. She responds, "I don't want to go the next match." She then continues, "Especially if you're trying to change the opinions people are having about a certain group of individuals. You know what I mean? I have a problem with that because I fought my entire life to try and be just as strong as men and just as smart, and of course, the first thing that happens, is I get a stupid gimmick. So what did I do? I got on Celebrity Apprentice. And as soon as I was out of WWE, I started to make a change with my life, but it was not random photos of me with someone else's someone elsebecause they don't go away."
Regarding the photos in question, Kanellis appears to be referencing some images that surfaced online in early 2009 of Kelly canoodling with a married man in fellow WWE Superstar Chris Jerichothe batch included a shot of the two kissing. It has been heavily speculated that the two were involved in a secret romantic relationship then; a Google.com search for the term "chris jericho kelly kelly" leads to numerous suggest results including "chris jericho kelly kelly kissing," "chris jericho kelly kelly dating," "chris jericho and kelly kelly a couple" and "chris jericho kelly kelly together."
Kelly appeared to respond to Kanellis' cryptic remarks Tuesday evening via Twitter, herself cryptically stating, "I will never mention your name, you will never be relevant. If I have something to say about you, I will say it to you ☺ #thebiggerperson."
Kanellis responded, "Relevant enough to call me. #IMALADY." She then deleted the remark, but stands by her show comments.
She tweeted, "@afterbuzztv is a show about a show. Every show discusses the show, news and gossip. If you don't like you're dirty laundry aired maybe you should be more careful about what shows up on the Internet."
Backstage Report from RAW on Why Stars Are Upset Posted by Steve Carrier on 08/07/2012 at 10:06 AM
- As seen last night, WWE Superstar JTG spoke out about being unhappy with his role in the company and how he was tired of being taken advantage of.
F4Wonline.com reports that there have been some payoffs come out in the past few weeks, mainly the WrestleMania 28 payoff, and that is part of why JTG is upset. Word is that JTG isn't the only midcard talent upset about the WrestleMania payoffs. Apparently with WWE touting the success of the WrestleMania buyrate, the talents expected the payoffs to be more than what they actually were.
Word going around is that many talents are upset about it and lots of are talking privately about it but everyone is afraid to speak out because of fear for losing their jobs.
It's always possible that JTG may be released soon but the feeling backstage was that he was not trying to get released. Talents were keeping their distance from him before RAW went on the air last night but after the show, officials were coming up to him asking if he was okay and what the problem was.
Last nights WWE Raw featured a number of good wrestling matches (which were made by new Raw GM AJ), including a John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan main event. In addition, Shawn Michaels appeared and was caught in a verbal altercation with Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar. It was announced by HBK himself that he will be in the Triple Hs corner at Summer Slam when he faces Lesnar. Also, a vignette hyping up Wade Barretts upcoming return aired and Sheamus took Alberto Del Rios car for a joy ride around San Antonio (and Touted about it). Here are the match results from last night:
-WWE Champion CM Punk defeats Rey Mysterio via pin fall.
-Alberto Del Rio defeats Christian via submission.
-Randy Orton battles Big Show to a double count out.
-Ryback defeats Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins via pin fall in a handicap match.
-Primo and Epico defeat Darren Young and Titus ONeil via pin fall.
-Darren Sandow attacks Brodus Clay before their match (as Clay made his way to the ring)
-Kelly Kelly defeats Eve via pin fall.
-Alex Riley defeats Dolph Ziggler via pin fall (after a distraction from Chris Jericho, who was on commentary).
-Kane defeats Intercontinental Champion The Miz via pin fall.
-John Cena defeats Daniel Bryan via pin fall. After the match, both WWE Champion CM Punk and Big Show hit the ring as Show was the last man standing to end the show.
Samoa
Joe Interview: Talks Tag Teaming, Japan, Aries And More
TNA Wrestler Samoa Joe spoke with Live Audio
Wrestling on a number of subjects including his recent push in the
Bound For Glory Series, Tag Teaming With Magnus, Japan and more. Below is a
quick recap.
On his recent push in TNA: "I think as of late, things have been fantastic. Look at where I was
one year ago when I was at like minus 50 points and not doing very well in the
Bound For Glory Series at all. This year was a fresh start and a lot of fresh
opportunities. The general vibe this whole summer has been pretty high-charged,
just for the fact that we're going live. There's a lot more interplay between
the wrestlers and what you're seeing on the TV screens, so it's been a positive
summer thus far."
On being underutilized in
TNA: "I've heard that in droves. In general, it wasn't
too difficult to work through that. My thing has always been to hope for an
opportunity to show the world what I'm capable of and what I can do in the ring.
Eventually I know that opportunity will arise, so I just kind of focused on
that. When it did come around and I got a shot in the tag tournament. I just
took advantage of it."
On the upcoming 4 way match
at Hardcore Justice: "With any machine the more moving
parts you put in it, the more complicated it gets. It does come with its own set
of challenges. At the same time, you're talking about three individuals whom I
deem the best in the world. I'm not worried about what they're capable of or
what they're going to bring or even how things get worked out. I think that when
it comes to the four of us in the ring, we'll produce something very special and
I'm looking forward to it."
On winning NOAH's GHC
Tag Team Championship with Magnus: "It's a lot of fun
anytime you get a chance to head back to Japan. I started the beginnings of my
career there. To be back it was a great match and a lot of fun with the people
I was competing with in the ring. Those NOAH wrestlers are tremendously skilled
at what they do, so it was a really good trip and to come back with GHC gold
made it even that much better."
On teaming with
Magnus: "Magnus is a tremendously talented individual.
He's very good on the fly, he picks up very well and he just knows how to accent
and complement his tag team partners in the ring. He's had a pretty decent
amount of tag team experience, and I've had a little bit here and there. We were
kind of a throwaway tag team; I don't think anybody expected us to work or gel
in any way, shape or form. But we managed to and it's worked out pretty
well."
On his preference as a babyface or
heel: "I think at this point it doesn't really matter.
I think I've always been kind of a take-it-or-leave-it type of guy. It's funny
because at times I thought I was a really big good guy in the eyes of the
people, but those people were quick to point out that they thought I was the
exact opposite. It doesn't really matter to me as long as I get a chance to go
out there and perform in front of the people and do what I do
best."
On Austin Aries World Heavyweight
Champion: "I'm not incredibly surprised. Austin is
very driven individual and he wants to be the best at what he does. He's never
been one to take a lot of flack or wait his turn. He's the type of guy that
charges in and seizes the moment. It's worked out for him and he's done really
well, and none of the success that he's experiencing right now is a surprise to
me at all. It's a very unusual position that a lot of wrestlers don't find
themselves in during their careers. It's a balancing act, it's a responsibility
but I think he's bearing it well. I look forward to seeing what he has in store
for us in the future."
Diva Arrested For Public Intoxication Posted by Steve Carrier on 08/06/2012 at 04:24 PM

Kharma Getting In Shape - Possible Reality Show Posted by Dave Mitchell on 08/06/2012 at 06:57 AM
Following her recent release from WWE, former WWE diva Kharma is working hard to get back into shape with hopes of jump-starting her wrestling career.
TMZ.com is reporting that Kharma "fell into a deep depression" after suffering a miscarriage last year and put on so much weight that she was unable to return to WWE. Kharma told TMZ that she put on so much weight during the pregnancy that it could have contributed to the tragedy.
Kharma says she is now motivated to get back into ring shape and has hired a team of therapists and fitness experts to help her achieve her goal.
Kharma has been in touch with multiple production companies to document her experience getting back in shape and returning to the spotlight with hopes of landing a TV deal and using the footage for a reality show.
Wade Barrett To Return From Injury Next Week Posted by Steve Carrier on 08/04/2012 at 01:04 PM
Wade Barrett will return to action during SmackDown's two-show tour of Tokyo, Japan at Ryogoku Kokugika next week.
Barrett has been sidelined since the February 20 Raw; he suffered a partially dislocated elbow while catching Dolph Ziggler, who was thrown out of the ring by Big Show during a battle royal. During his time away from the ring, Barrett shot a supporting role in the WWE Studios film Dead Man Down.
Matches announced for the August 9 show are a 2-1 Handicap Match for World Heavyweight Championship between Sheamus, Big Show and John Laurinaitis, a Triple Treat Match between Randy Orton, Alberto Del Rio and Kane, Rey Mysterio vs. Daniel Bryan, Kofi Kingston vs. Cody Rhodes, Santino Marella and Zack Ryder vs. Epico and Primo, Kelly Kelly vs. Natalya, Yoshi Tatsu vs. Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel vs. Jack Swagger and Ted DiBiase vs. Jinder Mahal.
Matches announced for the August 10 show are a Fatal 4-Way Match for the World Heavyweight Championship between Sheamus, Kane, Alberto Del Rio and Big Show, a Six-Man Tag Team Match featuring Randy Orton, Santino Marella and Zack Ryder vs. Epico, John Laurinaitis and Primo, Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes, Kofi Kingston vs. Daniel Bryan, Kelly Kelly vs. Natalya, Justin Gabriel vs. Wade Barrett, Yoshi Tatsu vs. Jack Swagger and Ted DiBiase vs. Jinder Mahal.
TNA Impact Wrestling Rating For August 3 2012 Today, 02:00 AM Posted by Tiltman in Latest TNA Wrestling News & Rumors According to PWTorch, The August 3 2012 episode of Impact Wrestling Scored a 1.01 rating, a total 13% loss in viewership from last week's rating.
This past Monday's (July 30, 2012) episode of WWE Raw featured all the fallout from the 1,000th episode and the start of the true build to Summerslam, which is just a few short weeks away.
Alberto Del Rio has announced that he won't compete again unless the world heavyweight championship is on the line, but we'll see just how long that lasts.
Daniel Bryan is also still a Smackdown wrestler and he's still going crazy. There's a new wrinkle to his character, one he started on Raw and continues here that you should love.
The big news, however, is that a new general manager is announced by the Chairman of the Board himself, Vince McMahon.
Find out exactly what went down, courtesy of PWTorch.com, after the jump.
-- McMahon kicked off the show with his big announcement regarding the new Smackdown General Manager. I'm not sure why this took an extra week but Booker T was given the honors, which sounds like it could be awesome. He was apparently very comfortable in this role during the show.
-- Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus interrupted the proceedings and were both booked in matches, even though Del Rio said he wasn't going to do so. He was placed in the main event, actually, against Randy Orton. Sheamus, meanwhile, drew Tensai.
-- Unsurprisingly, Sheamus defeated Tensai in a veritable hoss fight.
-- Eve Torres tried to kiss up to Booker T to earn a spot within his administration but Teddy Long was instead given a position as "Senior Adviser" with his first duty to tell Eve to kiss off.
-- Antonio Cesaro def. Santino Marella in a nothing match, continuing the theme of the U.S. title being a complete piece of trash. Cesaro is apparently working a gimmick where he speaks in different languages.
-- Daniel Bryan is now wearing a shirt that has "NO" taped over "YES" and telling fans he won't be saying that word anymore and they can't either. What a perfect way to keep that schtick fresh.
-- Bryan, The Miz, and Dolph Ziggler defeated Kane, Christian, and Chris Jericho. Said to be a solid affair with Bryan scoring the roll up pin on Jericho. Nice to see him come out on top despite his spiral down.
-- Ryback continued his series with Jinder Mahal and won by disqualification after Mahal hit him with a microphone. I truly don't understand what the hell they're doing with Ryback. It's like they're ribbing him.
-- Darren Young defeated R-Truth in the same manner Titus O'Neil defeated Kofi Kingston on Raw -- with plenty of interference. For those wondering, A.W. was ringside as usual and he was given a live microphone, just like usual. Maybe his big punishment was a stern talking to?
-- Cody Rhodes and Booker T had words backstage with Rhodes saying he hopes his ending Booker's career as an active wrestler doesn't mean Booker will treat him poorly while he's in power. Book announced Rhodes would be in a match against Sin Cara next week.
-- Randy Orton defeated Alberto Del Rio via disqualification in the main event after typical interference from Ricardo Rodriguez. Sheamus interfered on behalf of Orton, tossing Del Rio into the ring so he could get hit with an RKO.
And that's that, folks. How's the show sound to you?
