Kane Attacks John Cena at Press Conference

A press conference Thursday to kick off WWE’s first-ever live event tour in Abu Dhabi "turned chaotic" when Kane attacked John Cena, according to WWE.com. Cena, however, put The Big Red Monster through a table in front of members of the media.

Video and photos of the incident are available here.

Samoa Joe Interview: How He Started In Wrestling, International Expansion

Samoa Joe Interview: How He Started In Wrestling, International Expansion

TNA Wrestler Samoa Joe spoke with GuruMagazine on the UK tour, How he got into the wrestling business and TNA's global expansion.

On how Joe got into the wrestling business:
"It was an odd set of circumstances. I’d called a gym wanting to work out – I’d done judo for a long time, and I called in and ju-jitsu was a kind of a hot thing at the time. The trainer at the gym [encouraged me to] try the pro wrestling school there; I did and it was fun and I took to it.
It started out as a ‘wacky hobby’ that I didn’t think much of and I wasn’t aspiring to much at the time, but within the span of a couple of years, I found myself in Japan working full-time, and I then realised: this is a great living, this is a lot of fun, and I enjoy what I’m doing, so I became a pro wrestler."

On whether he has ever had to adapt his style depending on employers:
Not really. I think when companies hire me they know what they are hiring, and they get me for that reason. I think the biggest change that I’ve made is that I make an effort not to do things that some people may not be able to defend themselves against – but that’s more along the lines of professional courtesy. There hasn’t been much adaptation whatsoever for me to be honest – they hired me to be a hard-hitting, no-nonsense ass-kicker and that’s what I tend to be!”

    On TNA's Expansion:
I think five years from now, TNA will still be doing well and thriving, and will have more of an international presence around the world. For all of the criticism that people like to levy against the company – I’ve heard “it’ll be dead in five years, six years, whatever” – every year we’ve grown, every year we’ve expanded and we’ve forged ahead into new markets – the UK, now India [with new promotion Ring Ka King], and that trend will continue. I think anybody that thinks otherwise is kidding themselves – and we’ll be more than happy to prove you wrong!

Heat on The Miz After R-Truth Takes a Fall on Raw

Heat on The Miz After R-Truth Takes a Fall on Raw
Posted by Steve Carrier on 02/07/2012 at 12:08 PM

During the Six-Pack Challenge on Monday's Raw SuperShow, R-Truth attempted a slingshot somersault onto The Miz but his fall was not absorbed due to the former WWE Champion being out-of-position. R-Truth ended up falling back-first onto the floor, causing his head to whip back. At that point, the referee decided R-Truth was no longer able to compete and personnel assisted him to the locker room area.

WWE.com has confirmed that R-Truth avoided serious injury after suffering the fall. PWInsider.com reports that the basic outline of the match remained the same but adjustments were made from what was initially planned.

The Miz is being blamed for the errant spot. There was a ton of heat on him from company officials, including Triple H, backstage after the show. The WWE Executive Vice President of Talent "loudly disciplined" The Miz in front of wrestlers as soon as he returned to the back.

Health Update on R-Truth Following Bad Landing

Health Update on R-Truth Following Bad Landing

During the Six-Pack Challenge on Monday's Raw SuperShow, R-Truth flipped over the top rope which was to have led to The Miz breaking his fall. R-Truth, however, went far to his opponent's left and landed back first onto the matted floor. The broadcast team stated that medical staff determined he was unable to continue to compete as he was assisted to the backstage area during the commercial break.

Following Raw, Joey Styles announced on Twitter that the Raw Superstar is fine following the spot.

He wrote, "Breaking News! Somehow, @RonKillings is OK and has no injuries after flipping over the top rope, missing @MikeTheMiz and hitting the floor."

    D'Angelo Dinero Feels Underused

    D'Angelo Dinero Feels Underused

    - "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero was informed on Twitter of an article labeling him as the most underused wrestler in TNA Wrestling. He responded, "Thanks again, but SERIOUSLY, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Pope is underused...... Or does it?"

Dinero's status with the organization is currently in limbo as he has not appeared on television since the culmination of his several month feud with Devon at Genesis. He was asked when he will be returning to television.

"I'm sure Pope will return at some point this year..... Talk about a "Turning Point," he says.

    WWE SIGNS TOP WORKER

    WWE SIGNS TOP WORKER
By Mike Johnson on 2012-02-07 00:43:35
As noted in the PWInsider.com Elite section, Former ROH Tag Team champion Chris Hero was at WWE developmental today and the word is that he's finally signed officially with the company. Hero had been waiting for medical tests to clear before he could sign.
I am told there are no plans for WWE to put Hero and his former Kings of Wrestling partner Antonio Cesaro (Claudio Castagnoli) together as an act for the main roster. They were always going to be signed as separate entities.

Sonjay Dutt Interview: Reveals He Is On The Creative Team, Talks About How Ring Ka King Was Formed

Sonjay Dutt Interview: Reveals He Is On The Creative Team, Talks About How Ring Ka King Was Formed

Former TNA Wrestler and current Ring Ka King star Sonjay Dutt was a guest on Live Audio Wrestling to discuss TNA's India Ring Ka King show. Below are some quick highlights of the interview:

On the formation of Ring Ka King:
"This is actually something thats been in the works for quite some time. I spoke to jeff about a year ago. It was kind of vague on what was going to happen. a few months down the line we started working a little more in depth. Last December we shot the first 12 episodes of the season there. This really goes back to the time with Pate Kenny and sharkboy when we went over there to promote TNA when they first got on ESPN asia. When we came back we told the higher ups how this is really an untapped market.

Everybody from Endemol productions and ColorsTV has been phenomenal with the wrestling into integration into the Indian marketplace. When you're in Mumbai, when you're in the major cities in India right now theres billboards, theres posters you cant escape ring ka king right now."

On whether he believes WWE or any other organization failed to capitalize on the Indian demographic:
"Absolutely. I'm shocked that wwe hasn't capitalized. Nobody has had any live events there, wwe hasn't been there for many many years now. Theres never been an Indian promotion for Indians by Indians. This is the first time something has been created for India."

On How developing the Indian talent for the show came to be:
"Me and Road Dogg Brian went over there we went over there in September for actually had 2 days of auditions and we had 200 indians showed up. we selected 50 initially. we narrowed that down to 15. Those are the 15 Indians you see on the show. We trained them in India, Savio Vega and Nick Dinsmore spent about 2 or 3 months in preparation for ring ka king. Its really an amazing project from start to finish. just the fact that we see the growth of these guys we literally picked out off the streets and now they are legitimate stars in their own country. It was an open casting call. Alot of the casting agencies in Mumbai were involved. They sent alot of talent our way. There is no wrestling scene in india. As far as they are concerned, it's just a television show over there. There is a form of amateur wrestling over there so those guys showed up over there, athletes showed up over there.

On their early expectations for Ring Ka King were:
"when jeff initially approached me about this project. you cant really blame them, nobody knew anything about the Indian culture or the landscape and things that go on there. I speak Hindi and Punjabi I guess i was the front runner in directing the crew on Indian culture. So Jeff put me on the creative team. That's kind of like my backstage, behind the scenes work. Just presenting the Indian culture, its definitely a different world than what it is in north America.

We didn't know what to expact, we knew what we wanted. Our conversation with ColorsTV and Endemol productions, we didn't know if they could deliver. Last december when we taped for 4 days, each day got better and better. Those crowd reactions.
    "

On using a heel persona in Ring Ka King:
its me coming out of a babyface would have been an easy role to play. i was spekptical at first, didnt know if they would boo me or hate me. everything has kind of clicked. My promos have to be both in english and hindi. It's something i'm defnitely feeling comfortable with. getting a chance to actually wrestle in india for indians is just an amazing thing.

WWE Raw SuperShow results: Who is "The Best in the World?"
By: Kevin Powers February 6, 2012
Tags: WWE Raw SuperShow: February 6, 2012

OKLAHOMA CITY – WWE COO Triple H gave his answer to The Undertaker's WrestleMania XXVIII challenge, and The Deadman responded. Chris Jericho earned the right to be the final entrant into Raw's Elimination Chamber Match and John Laurinaitis announced that WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels will be on Raw SuperShow next week!

The menacing Kane terrorized Eve (WATCH)
Continuing his quest make John Cena embrace hate, Raw SuperShow ended with The Big Red Monster cornering Eve backstage. Kane told her that he fears for the safety of anyone who gets in the way of his quest to make Cena embrace the hate.

Chris Jericho def. WWE Champion CM Punk, R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, The Miz & Dolph Ziggler (PHOTOS | WATCH)
The stakes were certainly high in Raw SuperShow’s main event - the winner would be the final entrant into Raw’s Elimination Chamber Match at WWE Elimination Chamber. That prospect was enough to fuel each Superstar involved in the Six Pack Challenge as the winner would be able to conserve the most energy inside the unforgiving structure.

Before the contest on Raw SuperShow turned into a free-for-all, Truth, Kingston, Miz and Ziggler all focused their attention on Jericho, no doubt retaliating for the first-ever Undisputed Champion’s comments earlier in the evening. The WWE Champion waited, grabbed Miz and tried to take the early victory. From this point on, the match became every Superstar for himself as the battle raged in and out of the ring. However, with Miz outside the ring, R-Truth attempted to hit a somersault dive over the ropes but The Awesome One moved out of the way. This resulted in a very hard landing for Truth, and WWE doctors determined that Truth was unable to continue in the match. (INJURY UPDATE)

As the battle raged, none of the Superstars were able to maintain any momentum or an advantage for very long. This only kept the WWE Universe in Oklahoma City on the edge of their seats, no doubt making them envious of their counterparts in Milwaukee who will witness these Superstars battle inside the Elimination Chamber in two weeks. After tossing Chris Jericho from the ring, CM Punk seemed to have a clear path to victory when he caught Ziggler with the GTS. With the ring cleared, CM Punk pinned The Show Off but Jericho pulled the WWE Champion out of the ring, tossed him over the announce table and stole the victory!

John Laurinaitis announced John Cena vs. Kane in an Ambulance Match at WWE Elimination Chamber. (FULL STORY) He also announced that Shawn Michaels will be on Raw SuperShow next week! (WATCH)

Kelly Kelly, Eve, Alicia Fox and Tamina def. Beth Phoenix, Natalya and The Bella Twins (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Divas Champion Beth Phoenix believes there are no Divas that can compete on her level. In a Eight-Diva Tag Team Match on Raw SuperShow, it seemed that The Glamazon did not want to bother battling any of the Divas on the opposing team. She aggressively tagged in Brie Bella who took issue with the Divas Champion being so assertive. The argument that broke out allowed Tamina to gain the upper hand in the contest and secure the victory with a Superfly Splash. From outside the ring, The Glamazon watched Tamina with great interest, perhaps seeing a new and formidable opponent.

The Great Khali & Randy Orton def. Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes & Wade Barrett (PHOTOS | WATCH)
It certainly seemed like a peculiar pairing, but The Great Khali and Randy Orton teamed up on Raw SuperShow and dominated the contest early. However, the teamwork between The Viper and The Punjabi Playboy was definitely uneasy as both Superstars aggressively tagged each other in. This allowed Rhodes and Barrett to gain an advantage over WWE’s Apex Predator. Each competitor seemed poised to outdo each other, as all four ring warriors will battle inside SmackDown’s Elimination Chamber. As Orton seemed to have the victory well within his grasp, The Punjabi Playboy once again tagged himself in to finish off the Intercontinental Champion with a huge chop. The Viper was not pleased about Khali stealing the victory and confronted the giant. WWE’s Apex Predator ducked a huge chop and took down The Punjabi Superstar with a huge RKO.

WWE Champion CM Punk confronted Chris Jericho (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Chris Jericho finally spoke his mind on Raw SuperShow. WWE’s first-ever Undisputed Champion delivered a bold statement and message to the WWE Universe and all the Superstars and Divas, that they are all “Jericho wannabes.” Jericho explained that he did everything before everyone else, that he was the trendsetter in WWE. He then set his sights on WWE Champion CM Punk, claiming that he, not Punk, was “the best in the world.”

As Jericho continued to present his case, The Voice of the Voiceless made his way to the ring, itching to use his pipe-bomb. However, as Punk stood face to face with Jericho, he dropped the microphone and proudly held the WWE Championship high in the air. The Straight Edge Superstar turned his back, giving Jericho a chance to attack. When Jericho did not attack, CM Punk left the ring and returned to the locker room.

Sheamus def. David Otunga (PHOTOS | WATCH)
David Otunga made his way to the ring to express his support for John Laurinaitis to remain Raw's Interin General Manager. As a result, WWE COO Triple H announced that Otunga would have a match at that very moment. His opponent was the winner of the 2012 Royal Rumble Match, Sheamus. Otunga was clearly unprepared for the contest and was forced to compete in his business casual attire, but The Celtic Warrior was ready to unleash his fury. While WWE's resident lawyer did build a small amount of momentum, The Celtic Warrior dismissed the case with a powerful Brogue Kick and sentenced Otunga to defeat.
NASCAR driver Carl Edwards informs John Cena that the Cenation leader will be the honorary starter of the Daytona 500. (FULL STORY | WATCH)

Big Show def. World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan (PHOTOS | WATCH)
The intense rivalry between Big Show and World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan spilled over to WWE Raw SuperShow. The rivalry became heated after The World's Largest Athlete inadvertently trampled Bryan's girlfriend, AJ, during a battle on SmackDown. With a neck brace helping her ease the pain, AJ made her way to the ring to support the World Champion on Raw SuperShow.

Using his agility and athleticism, Bryan took an early advantage, but Big Show's sheer size quickly shifted momentum in his favor. As the melee spilled to the outside of the ring, there were a number of close calls involving AJ potentially being injured. As The World's Largest Athlete charged Bryan, the World Champion ducked out of the way and AJ was nearly trampled again. This prompted Daniel Bryan to grab his girlfriend and retreat from ringside. As a result, Big Show was declared the winner by count-out,

Triple H answered The Undertaker’s Challenge (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Before WWE COO Triple H addressed the situation involving The Undertaker, he informed the WWE Universe that Executive Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis’ fate as Interim Raw General Manager would be decided by the Board of Directors later.

When The Game turned his attention to The Deadman, he acknowledged that The Phenom’s return to Raw SuperShow last week was indeed to challenge Triple H to a rematch at WrestleMania XXVIII. The Cerebral Assassin spoke of his respect for everything that The Undertaker has done in his career. However, The Game also claimed that last week when The Phenom returned, he did not feel intimidated by The Undertaker. WWE's COO played two videos, one that highlighted the dominant force that The Deadman has represented in WWE, and another that captured the aftermath of their epic struggle at WrestleMania XXVII, when The Phenom had to be carried out on a stretcher. Triple H turned down The Undertaker's challenge, and claimed he had too much respect for The Deadman and saying "it's over."

Before The Game could leave the ring, a video played showing The Undertaker in a room watching clips from the physical battle at The Show of Shows last year in Atlanta. The Phenom's message for Triple H was clear, give The Deadman another epic WrestleMania match, and have one more chance to end The Streak and further cement the legend of The Game.

    Main event announced
Raw SuperShow kicked off with the announcement of the evening’s main event.  Raw Elimination Chamber participants; CM Punk, R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, The Miz, Dolph Ziggler and Chris Jericho would square off in a Six Pack Challenge to determine whose Elimination Chamber pod would be the last to open at the pay-per-view event.

    CM Punk Story from Event

    CM Punk Story from Event

    - WWE Champion CM Punk led a very cool moment before his match against Dolph Ziggler at last night's RAW live event in Wichita, Kansas. Before the match, Punk tried to throw his shirt at a kid in the front row but a man grabbed the shirt and took it back to his own seat.

This ticked Punk off and the WWE Champion left the ring, walked across the arena to the merchandise tables and grabbed a new shirt to deliver personally to the kid.

    Backstage McIntyre News

    - There has been talk of giving Drew McIntyre a makeover with his current storyline where he becomes more of an "arrogant playboy." Despite appearing to have his job in jeopardy, there are no plans to drop Drew from the SmackDown storylines.

Sting says he almost signed with WWE last year

Sting says he almost signed with WWE last year
Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 02/04/2012 at 06:32 PM

    From cnykiss.com:

"Big Poppa" Gary Spears from Kiss-FM recently spoke with Sting. Here are some highlights from the interview:

Wrestlers he'd like to face that he hasn't yet: "I'd have to say the top one... Undertaker. I think wrestling fans have wanted to see Sting vs. Undertaker for years. I think between his gimmick and mine, it could be pretty cool. We could do some pretty cool stuff."

If he regrets never going to WWE: "Yes and no. Who wouldn't want to say that they've done at least one WrestleMania? I'm not going to lie to you, I wish I had done one of those. I've had great conversations with him [Vince McMahon] over the years and been real close on three or four different occasions. There was always a need met or desire of mine met with WCW or with TNA, so I stayed."

The last time he almost jumped to WWE: "Last year... we were very, very close."
