Former TNA Knockout Discusses Her Time In TNA, Leaving WWE, More
In a live shoot interview tonight, former TNA Knockout Gail Kim spoke on record for the first time about why she quit WWE, the Divas division and walking out of a battle royal on Raw in her final appearance.
A few highlights below:
* Gail reveals that the Divas today are told: Youre getting too physical and Youre getting too good, indicating that they dont want the women to upstage the male wrestlers.
* Gail says she got the opportunity to be in a documentary about successful Korean people but WWE wouldnt let her do it.
* Gail says winning Knockouts Title meant more than winning Womens Title because it wasnt just handed to her. She says she was part of building the division and that made it more special.
* Low-Ki told her about Awesome Kong (Kharma). When they were talking about who to bring in for the division, Gail said why dont we bring in Kong she had never seen her work or even a picture of her but thought she would be unique for the division.
* As far as she knows, she never knew of ideas for her to work with Kharma in WWE in a storyline, but they had plans to have her work Kharmas first singles match.
* Gail says the plan was for Kharma to feud with Beth Phoenix.
* Gail says the Knockouts never talked about their pay in TNA. Any frustration was between talent and office, not with each other.
* Gail on leaving TNA: She was in contract negotiations, but was having financial issues. She says the pay she was being offered, she couldnt accept at that time. WWE reached out and offered her more money. She said she spoke to everyone in the TNA office and bawled when she spoke to Jeff Jarrett. She says: When life takes over, you have to do what you have to do to pay your bills.
* On re-signing with WWE, Gail says Johnny Ace told her that the creative team was so excited to have her back and had ideas for her. Hmm really?
* Gail says she was offered a training position in FCW but turned it down because she felt she still had a lot to offer in her career.
* Gail says every week thered be a new rule for the Divas like no kicking, no punching etc. It was so frustrating. WWE wanted more girliness in Divas matches.
* Gail says its sad that the Womens Title was retired. WWE needs two titles for both shows. She says the Divas were sad about it.
* Gail reveals that she had four boob jobs. She says she never felt pressure from WWE to do it and even asked her mom in high school to have breast implants. No pressure. Never heard a story about there being pressure.
* Gail says she heard rumors that the Daniel Bryan/Bella Twins storyline ended because the network thought it wasnt heading in a very PG direction, so she was brought in as his girlfriend to end the storyline. Gail says fans, Vince and Kevin Dunn loved the Gail/Bellas catfight when she was revealed as DBs girlfriend.
* Gail says she was ready to quit the day that she was revealed as Daniel Bryans girlfriend, but prolonged it because she was finally being used.
* Gail says she felt slapped in the face and disrespected by a series of events and doesnt take back her action of eliminating herself in the Divas battle royal. She recalls one instance when she went out to the ring with Daniel Bryan as his manager, but when she got to ringside, she was told to go to the back. She had just stood in 10 minutes in gorilla position with Vince and others there, however she wasnt told she wasnt supposed to go out. Agents told her she was going out. However, when she went out there, she was told to go back. She felt disrespected and spoke to Johnny Ace.
* Gail says she felt frustrated in WWE. She had been approached about re-signing by Johnny Ace but said she definitely wasnt going to re-sign. She didnt know how much longer she was going to last. The night of the battle royal came on Raw. She felt that the Divas were treated as a joke but tried to make the best of every situation. She says the battle royal came and they were told, Everybody has to get out of the ring as fast as possible in the first minute. She says other things happened that day but wont reveal what happened. She felt disrespected at that moment and wanted to be disrespectful back, thus eliminating herself. She does admit it was childish. She went to the back & none of the agents or higher-ups noticed that she had eliminated herself. Later on in the night, she quit and told Johnny that he eliminated himself and he laughed! They didnt notice or care.
* She says when she quit, Johnny Ace offered her the training role in FCW again but she turned it down. She says he wouldnt let her quit. She said she wanted walk away & offered to give up the money. They told her she has to wait for her contract to run out. They didnt want her working for any other wrestling companies.
Gail says she went into the locker room at Raw and announced to the Divas that she had quit. Everyone was shocked and sad.
Gail says she told Johnny to stop controlling her. She just wanted to be free. She says she told them to keep their money but they wouldnt let her walk. They had a lawyer call her and explain the legal repercussions of her quitting.
* Gail on WWE hiring models instead of independent wrestlers: She says thats what it is right now. Girls like Beth and Natalya are a rare breed. She thinks women can be a draw & have kick ass matches.
* Regarding that match with Mickie James: They were very excited to have the match and planned too much. She wasnt injured. They tried to call it on the fly but it didnt work. She says, Were human.
* Gail says shed love for the girls to be treated equally. She wants to see them be given the same opportunities as the men. Its frustrating being held down. She says the Knockouts division is proof that people want to see womens wrestling.
Jeff Hardy has served the 10 day sentence he received after a plea agreement stemming from 2009 drug charges in North Carolina. He went into jail on 10/3 and was released today.
-It's time for the thirty-second week of NXT Redemption! The opening titles roll, and commentators Jack Korpela and William Regal welcome us from Dallas, Texas.
-Derrick Bateman's music hits and he comes out holding Maxine's hand. They get into the ring and Bateman grabs a mic. Bateman thanks John Laurinaitis for restoring order to Raw. He thanks him because the chaos in WWE was trickling down to "his show," NXT. He says his opinion and the opinion of the one who "captured his heart like the opposing defense captures a Tony Romo pass", Maxine, are the only opinions that matter. Maxine begins to speak, but she is interrupted by Percy Watson & Titus O'Neil's theme. They both come out with mics and greet them in the ring. Bateman says that Percy, Titus, and the WWE Universe are just jealous of his and Maxine's love. Titus calls them the most disgusting couple in the WWE, and Percy agrees. Titus says that Bateman joined late, whereas he has 30 redemption points. That may not mean much to Bateman, but to the WWE Universe, that means he's earned a chance to be on Raw or Smackdown. Maxine looks ready to fight, and Titus and Percy call Bateman "booty-whipped", and Matt Striker's music hits.
-Striker reminds Maxine that he's the host of NXT, and he's the only one who can make matches in NXT. Striker makes Percy Watson vs. Derrick Bateman official for later tonight, and announces that Maxine will be in action next against AJ. AJ makes her way to the ring as we go to commercial.

Match #1: AJ vs. Maxine
-Maxine is in control to start the match. Maxine gets onto the apron and hits a neckbreaker onto the second rope. Maxine gets back in the ring and uses the bottom rope to choke AJ. Maxine applies a seated dragon sleeper to AJ, but AJ fights out with punches. AJ gets to her feet and tries to whip Maxine, but she stays still, picks up AJ on her shoulders, and drops her neck-first on the top rope. Maxine slams AJ's head against the canvas repeatedly, then wrenches AJ's head back into a chinlock. Maxine whips AJ and ducks, so AJ counters with a kick, but Maxine levels AJ with a kick of her own. Maxine gets a two-count, then hits a suplex for another two-count. Back to the seated dragon sleeper goes Maxine. AJ gets up, but gets whipped into the corner. Maxine gets on the second rope and starts punching AJ, but AJ pushes her down to the mat. AJ then climbs the turnbuckle and hits a flying cross-body for a two-count. AJ hits a running clothesline and a spinning heel kick for another two-count. Maxine counters a punch attempt by AJ by slamming her head against the back of her knee. -There is a recap of Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks defeating the Usos last week. Matt Striker is backstage with last week's winners. Striker starts a question, but Reks interrupts. He says that we need to focus on their message. The Usos ambushed them, and they got sent packing. Hawkins takes over and says that they are the first Curt Hawkins and the first Tyler Reks. They don't need to ride the coattails of their ancestors to make a name for themselves.
-Commercial
Match #2: The Usos vs. Curt Hawkins & Tyler Reks
-Hawkins and Jey (I think) start out in the ring. Jey forces Hawkins into the corner and stomps away at him. He brings Hawkins out of the corner right into a short-arm clothesline. Jimmy is tagged in and the Usos hit a double elbow strike. Jimmy stomps Hawkins down into the same corner and tags Jey back in. Jimmy whips Hawkins at Jey, who drops him with an uppercut. Jey tags Jimmy in and hits a scoop slam on Hawkins. Both men hit the ropes and hit a double headbutt on the downed Hawkins. Hawkins rushes over to tag Reks, who quickly takes control with some big strikes. He drops Jey with a back elbow strike, then tags in Hawkins. Jey stops Hawkins by throwing him shoulder-first into the face turnbuckle, then tags in Jimmy. Jimmy hits a low dropkick on Hawkins, who was still hung up in the corner, and drags him out for a two count. Jimmy whips Hawkins back into the corner and tags in Jey. Jimmy holds Hawkins and Jey gets a strike to the ribcage. Yet another Uso tag leads to a backbreaker/flying elbow combo. Reks breaks up the tag and the ref takes care of him. Jimmy clotheslines Hawkins over the top rope, runs, and hits a diving splash on Hawkins. Reks tries to get involved, but the other Uso hits a splash of his own from the apron, stopping him. The Usos get in the ring to celebrate as we go to commercial.

-One of the Usos (let's say Jey) is in control of Hawkins as we come back. He whips Hawkins and Reks gets a blind tag. Hawkins hangs Jey up on the second rope and Reks hits a big boot to the side of his head. Reks stomps Jey in the heel corner and tags in Hawkins. Hawkins gets some stomps in, then quickly tags Reks back in. Reks gets some strikes of his own and tags Hawkins back in. Hawkins applies a side headlock and Jey gets to his feet. Jey hits the ropes but Hawkins drops him with a back elbow. Reks is tagged in and stomps Jey's gut. Reks hits a snapmare, a knee to Jey's back, and a modified headlock. Reks tags in Hawkins, who stomps on Jey and taunts him with slaps to the back of the head. Hawkins hits a suplex for a two-count. Hawkins tags in Reks and Reks gets Jey up in a scoop slam before dropping him onto Hawkins' knees. Reks applies a half nelson once again. Jey slowly gets to his feet. Jey gets out and Reks charges him, only to tumble over the top rope that Jey pulled down. Jey knocks Hawkins off the apron and tags in Jimmy. Jimmy hits a number of flying clotheslines and corkscrew forearm strike. Reks is down in the corner and Jimmy hits Umaga's Samoan bulldozer hip attack for a two-count. Jimmy goes to the top rope and jumps, but Reks catches him and counters into a big side powerslam for a two-count. Reks whips Jimmy and Hawkins catches him on the ropes. Reks charges, but Jimmy ducks, making Reks crash into Hawkins. Reks tries to get Jimmy into burning hammer position, but Jey gets a blind tag and Jimmy wiggles off. Reks turns around and gets a double superkick. Then both Usos get to opposite top turnbuckles and hit a double superfly splash for the win.
Winner: The Usos

Match #3: Percy Watson vs. Derrick Bateman w/ Maxine
-Percy takes control with a headlock takedown. Bateman traps Percy with a leg scissors, but Percy kips up. Percy hits the ropes and hits a single leg dropkick. Percy hits a suplex for a two-count. Percy throws Bateman into the corner and hits a European uppercut before throwing Bateman into another corner. Bateman moves and Percy jumps onto the second rope, perhaps to springboard back onto Bateman, but Bateman turns around and dropkicks Percy in the back. Percy falls and Bateman whips Percy. Bateman hits a kitchen sink for a two-count. Bateman slams Percy's head into the turnbuckle and stomps him down. He takes a moment, and Percy gets to his feet. Percy gets out of the corner and tries to whip Bateman into the corner, but Bateman counters and whips Percy sternum-first into the turnbuckle. Bateman applies a leg scissors and Percy fights out. Bateman chokes Percy on the second rope, but Percy wiggles out and hits a few strikes to Bateman's torso. They both hit the ropes and go for a cross-body, which Percy seems to get more of, as he lands on top. Both men up, and Bateman levels Percy with a clothesline. Bateman gets a two-count, then applies a standing abdominal stretch on Percy. Percy counters with an arm drag, and Bateman gets control back with a dropkick. Bateman hits a scoop slam and tries an elbow drop, but Percy rolls out of harm's way. Percy hits a number of European uppercuts and a dropkick which sends Bateman into the corner. Percy brings Bateman out of the corner and hits a scoop slam. Percy celebrates a bit over Bateman, then hits a big splash on Bateman for a very close two-count. Bateman gets up and quickly hits a gordbuster. Bateman then hits a running neckbreaker, which Percy seems to flip the wrong way for. Bateman hits the ropes, but Percy gets up and hits a big flapjack on Bateman. Percy gets Bateman onto his shoulders and turns him into a big flapjack for the three-count.
Winner: Percy Watson

WWE Raw SuperShow results: The "Laurinaitis Era" begins By: Ryan Murphy October 10, 2011 Tags: Raw, WWE Raw SuperShow: October 10, 2011 OKLAHOMA CITY The stark image of an empty locker room posted on WWE.com hours before the Raw SuperShow may have led the WWE Universe to believe that the nights event might not even happen. After all, the majority of the Raw roster refused to compete if Triple H was still in charge. Leave it to Mr. McMahon to turn the evening into one of the most contentious nights in history.
CM Punk & WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio def. The Miz & R-Truth by Disqualification (WATCH | PHOTOS) What started off as a showdown between the WWE Champion and The Straight Edge Superstar soon exploded into tag team warfare when Interim Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis reinstated the controversial duo of Miz & Truth and set this match on the spot. Quickly abandoned by his spineless partner, Punk was forced to go it alone against his devious opponents. But when The Awesome Truth began to double-team The Voice of the Voiceless, The Game rushed to the ring to defend his former rival in a show of solidarity the WWE Universe could actually get behind.
Following the match, the Interim Raw General Manager proposed yet another idea to bring to the Board a bout pitting CM Punk & Triple H against The Miz & R-Truth at Vengeance.
WWE Tag Team Champions Air Boom & Mason Ryan def. United States Champion Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger & David Otunga (WATCH | PHOTOS) Two weeks after he returned to the ring and smashed both Jack Swagger & United States Champion Dolph Ziggler, the massive Mason Ryan joined forces with the WWE Tag Team Champions to do it again. Throwing his considerable weight around, the powerhouse from Wales stomped through his three opponents before planting the United States Champion into the canvas. Its clear this big man means business.
Mr. Laurinaitis announced the Vengeance main event, fired Jim Ross (WATCH) Less than an hour into his tenure as Interim Raw General Manager, John Laurinaitis dropped two bombshells. First, he announced that WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio will defend his title against John Cena at Vengeance. (MATCH PREVIEW)Then, in a move that shocked the WWE Universe, Mr. Laurinaitis beckoned Jim Ross into the ring and called the WWE Hall of Famer an ingrate for walking out on Triple H last week. The EVP of Talent Relations then fired the legendary announcer. (WATCH: J.R. EXITS THE ARENA) Kelly Kelly & Eve def. Tamina & Rosa Mendes (WATCH | PHOTOS) Still fired up following her brutal beat down of Beth Phoenix on last Mondays Raw, Kelly Kelly came to fight with her good friend Eve by her side. Tempering the blonde beautys aggressiveness with her ring smarts, Eve capitalized on the punishment Kelly dished out by pinning Tamina for the win. Somewhere in the locker room, Beth & Natalya were watching this match very closely.
Randy Orton def. World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry by Disqualification (WATCH | PHOTOS) Less than two weeks before he faces Big Show at Vengeance (MATCH PREVIEW), Mark Henry clashed with Randy Orton and came very close to falling to WWEs Apex Predator. After getting nailed with a devastating RKO, The World's Strongest Man was down for the count before a malicious Cody Rhodes attacked Orton for the second time in the bout. The Intercontinental Champion and Mark Henry brutalized the vulnerable Viper before Rhodes sent a humiliating message of contempt to his former mentor by putting a paper bag on his head.
Christian def. John Morrison; main events made (WATCH | PHOTOS) Immediately stepping into his new role, Mr. Laurinaitis welcomed the embattled Superstars back into the arena and sent Christian and John Morrison directly to the ring in their street clothes. Already unhappy with the new General Manager, Captain Charisma took his anger out on The Shaman of Sexy, beating JoMo and then encouraging Cody Rhodes, Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler to smash the fallen competitor.
This bout was just the beginning of the Laurinatis-led Raw Supershow. In short order, the GM scheduled two main events for the night World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry vs. Randy Orton and WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio vs. CM Punk.
John Cena vs. Sheamus ended in a No Contest (WATCH); Mr. McMahon named John Laurinaitis Interim Raw GM (WATCH | PHOTOS) Determined to put on a show, Cena and Sheamus locked up in the ring while Triple H officiated and Punk handled commentary. It was an entertaining, makeshift match that was soon interrupted by an unexpected presence Mr. McMahon. Calling an end to the bout, the intimidating magnate addressed his son-in-law directly, telling Triple H that he liked his style, but the WWE Board of Directors has labeled him as a possible financial catastrophe and has relieved him of his duties on Raw. Furthermore, the Board declared that no member of the McMahon family could run the Raw SuperShow due to a conflict of interest, leading Mr. McMahon to announce a new Interim General Manager of Raw WWE Executive Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis. (WATCH: LAURINAITIS REACTS TO BEING NAMED GM)
Triple H addressed the state of the Raw SuperShow (PHOTOS) Defiant in the face of the chaos that has taken over the Raw SuperShow, Triple H vowed that he would not step down as WWE COO and that the nights event would continue as planned in spite of the Superstar Solidarity Rally that was taking place in the parking lot of Oklahoma Citys Chesapeake Energy Arena. (PHOTOS | WATCH: EXCLUSIVE RALLY FOOTAGE) The Game was not alone, though. Soon joined by John Cena, Sheamus and CM Punk, Triple H and this group of Superstars made it clear that they believe in sports-entertainments oldest adage the show must go on.

Sunny Reportedly Drinking Again & Depressed Posted by Dave Mitchell on 10/10/2011 at 05:17 PM
As reported earlier, former WWE talent Tammy Sytch (a/k/a Sunny) was advertised to appear at Saturday's Legends of the Ring event at the Crowne Plaza in Monroe, New Jersey, but no-showed. That would make the second consecutive weekend where she missed scheduled bookings after arriving to them.
She was spotted highly intoxicated at the hotel's sports bar the night before and needed assistance returning to her room since she was unable to walk on her own. She spent Saturday and Sunday in her hotel room before returning home.
Sytch wrote of her whereabouts Monday afternoon on Facebook, "sorry i havent posted.....been very sick....."
Sytch appeared in no condition to perform at Northeast Wrestling's Brass City Brawl II event on September 30 in Waterbury, Connecticut and was scratched from the show as a result. According to a source, a referee drove her back to her hotel and she wouldn't leave her room the following day. She was then escorted off the premises by law enforcement. She missed a show she booked to appear on that day in Poughkeepsie, New York.
Sytch wrote "detoxing is not fun" two days later on her Facebook account. She then revealed on Thursday that she's depressed.
"I want to thank everyone who stood behind me and sent well wishes during this hard time," she wrote. "Im sorry I havent responded sooner, but depression can be a bitch....dont feel like doing much at all..."
Her recent troubles are apparently related to problems with her boyfriend of over five years, who she broke up with a week earlier. She trashed her longtime partner on September 22 on Facebook by claiming that he cheated on her. She wrote three days later, "ok, seriously dont know what to do....need a sugar daddy asap....any takers??" She announced the following day that she was in a relationship with Brad Zapenas, a 21-year-old minor league baseball player for the Chicago Cubs. The relationship, however, would be short-lived as they broke up on Sunday.
Sytch faced a similar set of problems earlier this year as she appeared intoxicated at a Florida independent wrestling show on February 25. She slurred her words during a verbal confrontation with Danny Demanto and suffered multiple wardrobe malfunctionsshe purposely flashed her breasts during a match to onlookers and her top accidentally came loose when she attempted to slap a wrestler.
She stated days later on Facebook that she was dealing with personal problems at home: "To everyone: let me explain why Ive been so upset lately. I have made the biggest mistake of my life, and have hurt the only person who ever cared about me and stood behind me thru my worst times. Now I have to deal with the pain b/c of my own mistake."
The former WWE Diva appeared intoxicated at a multitude of independent wrestling events in the years prior to her comeback. Her erratic behavior intensified in the months following the April 2005 death of longtime partner Chris Candido: she officiated at least two matches while intoxicated and was escorted from a wrestling convention after causing a scene near Bret Hart. Her wily antics, however, simmered after she entered a relationship with a police official in January 2006 (who she broke up with last month) and shortly thereafter began her road to recovery, which culminated with enshrinement into WWE's Hall of Fame last April.
-- Former WWE diva Tammy "Sunny" Sytch no-showed yet another event this past weekend, a 'Legends of the Ring' this past Saturday in Monroe, New Jersey. She was spotted at the hotel bar the night before, but never made it to the actual convention as advertised. This is the second week in a row that she's no-showed events.

Mesias seizes the opportunity and attacks Sting. Jarrett and Konnan attack Sting but he makes a comeback and attacks Jarrett and Konnan with his bat. Mesias joins in and helps Sting. HHH Comments on Monday's Raw, Solidarity Rally Posted by Steve Carrier on 10/08/2011 at 01:07 PM
In light of news that WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H has vowed to not step down from running the Raw Supershow, Christian has spearheaded an effort by various Superstars, Divas, referees, announcers and crew members to travel to Oklahoma City on Monday and stage a "Solidarity Rally" in the backstage parking lot of the Chesapeake Energy Arena prior to the show. The contingent, which consists of those who walked out on Triple H this past Monday night, tell WWE.com that they will not return to the Raw Supershow or step into the venue to perform until Triple H relinquishes control.
Triple H stated earlier in a video interview that John Cena, CM Punk, Randy Orton, Sheamus and Big Show will headline Monday night's telecast.
"Beyond that, I might not have referees, I might not have announcers, I might not have cameramans. Quite frankly, I don't know what's going to happen," he said. "We'll see what we come up with on Monday. Hell, they might all show up and I won't let anyone back in."
