Luke Says Andy Used Pity To Win Tough Enough Posted by Steve Carrier on 06/22/2011 at 11:35 AM
Recap of Luke Robinson's appearance on In Your Head Radio, available at InYourHeadOnline.com.
Jack starts by saying he personally thinks Luke got robbed out of winning Tough Enough. Luke says he hears that a lot, and believes most people thinks he should have won.
Luke said he was shocked to see Andy win considering Trish Stratus and Booker T praised him quite a lot backstage. He couldn't believe Booker said Andy had the "it" factor, because he thinks Andy is the opposite of the "it" factor. He talks about how embarrassing Andy's promos were on Raw and how Vince McMahon cut him off.
Jack asked how Luke got involved with Tough Enough? Luke said USA contacted him and he thought it was a prank at first and two weeks later he saw the press release. He also had done d try-outs and extra appearances for WWE before. He did an audition video then had an intensive process with security checks etc. Luke says he knew he was going to make it to the end of the show. Luke believes he was bound to get to the end of the show and it wasnt cockiness, it was confidence.
Jack asked did Matt Cross was too respectful? Like agreed and said yes. Luke thinks when Steve Austin was in the ring with Matt on the bottom three, Matt's answer to Steve was what made Austin cut him. Luke said after the Raw was over, every finalist said he should have won, people respected him. Matt didnt have the belief in himself that he would win.
Jack asked if he will continue to pursue the WWE? Luke said for him WWE is the place to be even though TNA and ROH are around. Luke believes he is an entertainer and that is what WWE is about.
Patrick phoned in and asked: Do you see yourself going into the WWE? He said one day hopefully he will be there. He said once when he is at the big stage you wont see silliness but more serious from him.
David phoned in and asked if he would consider going to TNA or any other organization? Luke said since he was a kid he wanted to go to WWE, its a never say never situation, but his main goal is to get into the WWE.
Crystal phoned in and asked what was your favorite moment of Tough Enough? He said when Stone Cold was practicing wrestling with him. He didn't feel like he was marking out, but that he belonged in their with Steve. Also on the last skill work when he dropped the elbow.
Jack asked what was it like to be in the ring with Stone Cold, Vince McMahon, and the crowd on Raw? He said at first he was nervous before going out, but not when he was out there and he got the reaction he wanted. He said people who dont know him hate him.
OneInchBiceps asked does Luke keep in contact with Jeremiah? Luke said they are really good friends and they still keep in touch and see each other, in fact they spent last week together. They have a lot in common such as growing up on farms and enjoy fishing together.
OneInchBiceps asked what he thought about the twisting elbow Jeremiah landed? Luke says Jeremiah had planned it, but made it seem like something he made up on the fly. Luke knew Jeremiah was going to do it when he saw Jeremiah go to the top.
Luke said there were hundreds of hours of footage for he show. They had to pick highlights, so many things were not seen. Luke says they did not edit footage to make people seem different that they were.
Nikhil phoned in and asked: What was it like to be in the first segment with Stone Cold and Vince McMahon? Luke said he knew they would be in the segment as Tough Enough would lead onto Raw.
Nikhil asked did anyone come up to him backstage after losing? Brooklyn Brawler told him dont worry you have money all over you and you will become a star, he praised Stone Cold for being a great man to him. He said he reminded him of a young Shawn Michaels. The Miz said he expected him to win and hopefully sees him again working for the WWE. Luke said Bill DeMott and him didn't get along so well. Did he keep the WWE belt he was holding? The winner did and one day he will wear the belt.
Jack asked if everyone know Andy have a development contract? That news leaked out on the first episode when they were backstage at Smackdown. He said he didnt find out until then. It was odd and could understand people questioning it, but has nothing bad to say about any conspiracy theories of some sort. He didnt know Christina had a contract either.
Jack asked why Rima wasnt on the last show? Luke said she is an awesome person, fun to party with. Jack asked did he have any relationship with any of the girls? Luke said Michelle is married, Christina and him dont get along, Rima was Miss America. Him and Rima had some good fun together, lets keep it at that. The Miss USA people didnt allow her to "hook up" with anyone on the show. Luke says nobody hooked up on the show.
OneInchBiceps asked if Luke considers himself and Jeremiah a bromance? Luke said greatness attracts each other and they have the same mentality and same humor, they are a hell of a tag team. Luke said they are the Redneck Rock Stars.
William phoned in: He asked the best moment on TE? Luke said everything was entertaining because of him and that is not arrogance. Luke said he was in a mansion and had a lot of fun and drank so much, Andy didnt do anything, and nobody saw him he just sat in his room. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity, Andy was in bed at eight o clock every night. He said Andy used the pity vote about having young kids and thats why he won, he never degraded him to win the competition. Luke said it's not his fault he knows how to use a condom unlike Andy.
Jack asked did him and Andy get along? Luke said he never saw him and he was sleeping early. Luke said he was called Wedge as a nickname because he was similar to Edge, only without the personality or charisma. Luke went on to make fun of Andy and the way he talked. Jack said he nicknamed him the big doofus on the show.

Sting Discusses WWE, the Match with Jeff Hardy Posted by Steve Carrier on 06/23/2011 at 11:55 AM
- Sting recently spoke with The Baltimore Sun. Here are some highlights:
Do you have any more film projects in the works?
Its so tough [because of the wrestling schedule]. Ive had to pass on a couple other projects with some really good people, but Im looking forward to doing some more. But, yes, I know that I will have time coming up here and Id like to do a whole bunch more.
There is a lot of adult content on Impact Wrestling. As a man of faith, is it a concern for you to be on that type of show?
Absolutely. Theres no question about it. This is something that many Christians will use as their ace in the hole, and Ill use it, but Im not going to use it in a real loose way, and that is that Jesus Christ himself went in amongst the sinners the murderers, the adulterers, the idolaters, the drunkards, and so on and so forth. And he didnt come to judge them, he came to save them, be a doctor to them. Im not putting myself on that level obviously, but at the same time, we are in the world, we are not of the world, if we are believers. Im not going to put myself in a shell its just not going to work that way. You have to get out there somehow or another and try to be a light or be the salt of the earth, and thats all Ive tried to do. As far as the content goes, I will only involve myself in situations that will not jeopardize my walk or my witness. You wont hear vulgar things coming out of my mouth or sexual innuendos and all that kind of stuff.
In your current story line with Hulk Hogan, it almost seems as if there are some religious overtones as far as you trying to save the Hulk Hogan character and get him back on the right path. Is that the case or am I reading too much into it?
You know, theres probably a thread of that in there for sure. Most of my story lines do have some sort of a redemptive quality to them. Vince Russo is writing a lot of this stuff, and many people may not know this, but he also is a believer. He writes with that kind of flair. The other thing, too, is I really believe that because of the nostalgia of Hulk Hogan you know, he made an appearance on American Idol and got a huge, gigantic reaction wrestling fans all over the place would love to see the story line for real. I think they want to see him come back and just be Hulk. Id like to see it.
What was your reaction when WWE began airing the mysterious vignettes early this year that turned out to be for The Undertakers return, but initially had a lot of wrestling fans believing that the videos signaled that you were coming to WWE for to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania? And the second part of my question is: Did WWE contact you to come in and do something at that point?
Ill answer the second part first. Yes, I was contacted by WWE people. The vignettes I can honestly tell you that I do not understand that one even now, unless it was some kind of deal where they were just trying to test the waters, I really dont know, because so many people were saying, I hope its Sting, I hope its Sting. I thought, Gosh, I wonder if theyre going to shoot themselves in the foot there by making this choice, because if things do not work out, why did they do it to begin with? I had all kinds of things going through my head. But, yeah, I was very, very close to going up there, and I believe there probably would have been something with Undertaker. That was the word at least.
What are your thoughts on what went down the night you faced Jeff Hardy at the Victory Road pay-per-view?
I want to be careful with my words here because I really like Jeff Hardy. Im hoping he can come back because that guy is so talented, but he has personal issues in his life and it just became too much for him, too overwhelming, and he just couldnt cope and didnt know how to handle it. So he made some bad choices and hes having to deal with those choices and the consequences now. I hear hes doing much, much better. Last I heard, he was riding his bike 10 miles a day and just getting in great shape and his life was getting in some kind of order.
Youve said in the past that you intended to retire several times, but every year when your contract comes up in TNA, you get talked into staying for another year. At this point, how much longer do you plan to continue wrestling?
You know, youre right. I think Ive said every year for at least the last four years that this will be my last year. And Im speaking the same way again now. I think Ive smartened up a little bit. When I know its done, Ill know its done. Im going to go as long as I can, but, honestly, whether I want to or not, I cannot see going too much farther.
An ecstatic Kelly took to Twitter to comment on her title capture. She wrote, Words cant describe how happy I am to have won my first divas championship. Thanks to everyone who has supported me I promise to make you proud!

From TMZ.com:
Wrestling legend Scott Hall was sentenced to 10 days in Seminole County Jail yesterday ... for drunkenly resisting arrest back in May 2010 -- TMZ has learned.
For those unfamiliar, Hall was booked back in early May 2010 when cops found Hall -- aka Razor Ramon -- drunkenly yelling and cursing at patrons in a Florida bar. Hall was allegedly uncooperative with police ... and was popped for resisting arrest.
According to court records in Seminole County, Florida Hall was sentenced to 10 days in jail ... but the time was reduced to 2 days for time served.
We're told Hall is planning to check in to jail on July 5th -- and a rep for the wrestler says he'll be in the medical unit because of his "bad health."
This is now the longest-running season, as we head into our sixteenth week of NXT Redemption! There is a recap of Lucky Cannon's time on NXT Redemption. His short-lived romance with Maryse is reviewed, and we are reminded of his elimination last week. The recap ends with a slap to Cannon from Maryse. The fourth elimination will take place next week. Voting begins tomorrow at noon.
Hornswoggle's music hits and out comes Hornswoggle and Titus O'Neil. Hornswoggle mumbles for a while and Titus translates. Titus says that Hornswoggle has something to say to Maryse, who comes on out. Maryse asks what he wants and Hornswoggle mumbles a bit more. Titus says that Hornswoggle has a surprise for her, and to close her eyes and hold out her hand. She holds her hand too high, so Titus picks up Hornswoggle, who places another little black box in her hand. She opens it to find a ring pop. Maryse asks if Hornswoggle really thinks a woman like her would really care for a ring pop. She says that Hornswoggle is a little person with a little brain. She calls him a fat troll and tells him to find a woman his own size. She throws the gift at him and walks out.
Hornswoggle looks sad and Zack Ryder's music hits. Ryder comes out and asks how he got further with Hornswoggle as a pro than when Ryder was his pro in NXT Season 2. Titus says that he's going to win this season of NXT with Hornswoggle, and he's going to prove that Hornswoggle is the better pro. Titus says that everyone knows who the better pro is and Matt Striker comes out. Striker makes a match for tonight: Zack Ryder vs. Titus O'Neil. Woo woo woo, you know it.
Match #1: Vladimir Kozlov, Conor O'Brian & Yoshi Tatsu vs. JTG, Chavo Guerrero, & Darren Young
There is a recap of Yoshi Tatsu vs. Darren Young from last week, which ended in Darren winning due to interference from Chavo Guerrero. JTG then entered the fray before Vlad and Conor ran out and cleared the ring.
Darren Young and Conor O'Brian start out in the ring. They lock up and Darren transfers into a side headlock. Conor quickly takes control with a grounded wristlock. Conor gets up and continues to work the arm with a hammerlock, but Darren flips out and applies a wristlock of his own. Conor takes control again with another hammerlock, but Darren gets out and runs the ropes, but runs into a shoulder block and a European uppercut from Conor. Darren rolls out of the ring and gets a short pep talk from Chavo before he rolls back in. He tags Chavo in. Conor gets a tag to Yoshi after Darren gets a tag to JTG. Yoshi hits a number of Flair chops. Yoshi hits a double knee attack onto JTG in the corner, and then attacks the two heels on the apron. Yoshi hits a shining wizard, but the pin attempt is broken up by Darren and JTG. They try to suplex Vladimir, but he reverses and suplexes both men by himself. Meanwhile, Yoshi turns his attention to JTG and hits a roundhouse kick to the head for a three-count.
Winners: Vladimir Kozlov, Conor O'Brian & Yoshi Tatsu
Tyson Kidd is backstage (with no tuft of hair!), on the phone with his former rookie, Lucky Cannon. He's saying that he can't do anything about getting him back in the show. Kidd finds a shrine of sorts in the locker room, a Yoshi Tatsu action figure surrounded by candles. He goes up to it, but the real Yoshi yells "Don't touch!" Kidd scoffs and walks off. Yoshi sits down and places a Hershey's chocolate bar in front of his action figure (which gets a big pop from the hometown crowd).
Match #2: Zack Ryder vs. Titus O'Neil
Hornswoggle is on the apron in support of Titus. Ryder takes control, hitting a number of strikes on Titus in the corner. The referee separates the two and Titus takes control, throwing Ryder into the corner. Titus hits a number of strikes of his own and a scoop slam for a two-count. Ryder quickly runs out of the ring while Grisham puts over Z! True Long Island Story. Ryder gets back into the ring and gets a headlock takedown from Titus. Ryder makes his way to his feet and whips Titus, but gets shoulder blocked. Titus hits a big short-arm clothesline on Ryder, who reels in the corner. While he recooperates, Hornswoggle sneaks over and bites Ryder on the butt. Ryder climbs out of the ring, saying "Are you serious, bro?!" as we go to commercial.
Titus takes control with a European uppercut. A "Let's go Ryder!" chant breaks out, but Titus hits a backbreaker for a two-count. Ryder goes into the corner and hits a kick to Titus' face when he walks over. A "Woo Woo Woo" taunt from Ryder gets boos from the crowd. Ryder takes Titus back down with a flying forearm and keeps him grounded with a side headlock. Titus fights to his feet and hits a jawbreaker. Titus pushes Ryder away with a big boot, but Ryder knocks Titus down into the corner with a big boot of his own. Running face wash in the corner by Ryder gets a two-count. Ryder goes back to a side headlock, but Titus counters with a back suplex. Titus is fired up and hits two shoulder blocks followed by a running clothesline. Titus picks Ryder up and hits a fallaway slam. Ryder falls out of the ring and looks like he's about to attack Hornswoggle. Titus hurries out of the ring, but Ryder gets back into the ring. He stomps Titus when he gets back into the ring, backs up, and hits the Rough Ryder for the three-count.
Winner: Zack Ryder
Ryder holds up the L-I hands as he walks up the ramp. He yells "All day!" as Hornswoggle sadly checks on Titus O'Neil to end the show.
