Dumas ging tijdens haar jeugd naar veel verschillende scholen, en kon haar middelbare school zes maanden voor het officiele eindexamen afmaken. Ze was altijd een uitmuntende zwemmer en was als een jong-volwassene ook erg goed in judo. Dumas speelde bas gitaar in een band die 3 Card Trick heette en was 5 jaar lang de roadie voor een andere band, 7 Seconds, voordat ze een worstelaar werd. Ze heeft ook Spaans gestudeerd voor drie jaar. Om haar worsteltraining te bekostigen werkte ze als stripper met als bijnaam Misty.
Dumas raakte voor het eerst geinteresseerd in worstelen nadat ze de Mexicaanse luchador Rey Misterio, Jr. had zien worstelen tijdens een aflevering van WCW's WCW Monday Nitro samen met haar toenmalige vriendje, die een fanatiek worstelfan was. Ze reisde naar Mexico om het worstelen te leren en om meer te leren over de sport, waar ze een heleboel worstelaars tegenkwam, zoals Yoshihiro Tajiri, Val Venis, Essa Rios, Super Crazy en Chris Jericho. Tijdens haar verblijf in Mexico trainde Dumas onder verscheidene worstelaars waaronder Kevin Quinn, Miguel Perez en Ricky Santana. Nadat ze haar training had afgerond maakte Dumas een aantal verscheiningen voor de Empresa Mexicana de la Lucha Libre, en werkte ze 10 dagen voor een promotie in Peru.
Na haar terugkeer naar de Verenigde Staten begon Dumas te werken als een valet in het onafhankelijke worstelcircuit onder de ring naam Angelica, waarbij ze op een bepaald moment Christopher Daniels managede. In de lente van 1999 werd ze benaderd door Paul Heyman, de eigenaar en boeker van ECW, toen de op twee na grootste promotie in de Verenigde Staten. Dumas debuteerde voor ECW als Miss Congeniality, het vriendinnetje op televisie van Danny Doring. Dumas begon later weer de naam Angelica te gebruiken en maakte haar pay-per-view debuut op 18 juli 1999 tijdens Heat Wave 1999.
Dumas werd voorgesteld aan de worstelaar Dory Funk Jr. door ECW worstelaar Rob Van Dam en Funk nodigde haar uit om bij zijn worstelschool te trainen, the Funkin' Conservatory. Dumas trainde op de school samen met 23 manne, en vroeg aan Funk om haar niet anders te behandelen dan elke andere leerling. Ze slaagde van de school in augustus 1999 en keerde terug naar ECW. Ondertussen hadden Funk en zijn vrouw een video samengesteld van Dumas en deze naar de World Wrestling Federation gezonden. De Federation was onder de indruk en op november 1999 tekende Dumas een ontwikkelings contract. Ze maakte haar laatste ECW verschijning op 23 oktober 1999.
Sources tell WWE.com that Rey Mysterio will be at Friday Night SmackDown in Milwaukee next week to say goodbye. Friends of Mysterio say the former World Champion may actually announce his retirement. Those close to Rey say he is emotionally stressed following the months of struggle with former friends Vickie and Chavo Guerrero.

A WWE Superstar recently had the chance to interact with some superheroes, as Batista filmed a guest spot on the CW show, Smallville.
Its really my first acting experience outside of what we do here at WWE, Batista told WWE.com a few days after being on the Smallville set in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
It was awesome. It was a great experience. It played a really, really cool character, and Im a really big superhero buff, so it was great being involved in anything superhero-related, a pleased Batista said.
According to the CWs Web site, Smallville is in its sixth season and this new interpretation of the enduring Superman mythology and its classic characters blends realism and adventure into an exciting action series.
The SmackDown Superstar spent the most time with the shows main star, Tom Welling.
Tom Welling, who plays Clark Kent, Superman, was very kind, very generous, very helpful to me. I cant say enough about him, hes a really good guy.
Batista hopes this isnt the last time WWE gets involved with shows such as Smallville. The connection is already there, since SmackDown is also on the CW network.
Hopefully theyll have me do something else in the show. Id love to be involved sometime in the future, or any of the WWE Superstars. I think theyd all add something to the show and hopefully we can get some of their cast over here as well. I think its good for both shows and the network itself.

After a grueling and emotional I Quit match with rival Chavo Guerrero, Rey Mysterio was rushed out of the STAPLES Center on a stretcher. With no rules or disqualifications in an I Quit match, Chavo trapped the former World Champion upside-down on a steel lighting structure and used a chair to decimate Reys left knee. After enduring an almost superhuman amount of punishment, Mysterio was finally forced to utter the humiliating words, I quit.
Dr. Ferdinand Rios of the WWE medical staff has confirmed that Rey originally hyper extended his knee when Chavo locked his legs in the lighting structure. The subsequent six powerful blows that Chavo dealt to Reys already injured knee ruptured Mysterios anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and tore his patella tendon. The damage to the knee is so extensive that it cannot bear weight, and the normally agile Mysterio will need crutches to get around and extensive surgery to repair the shattered knee. Dr. Rios added that the invasive surgery on Reys knee is very serious and will require a large amount of physical therapy.

Last Monday night, Kevin Federline a.k.a. K-Fed appeared on Monday Night RAW with his good friends Johnny Nitro and Melina. During his appearance, Federline was involved in a physical confrontation with WWE Champion John Cena which saw the aspiring artist become the recipient of an F-U.
K-Fed was furious with Cenas actions and the treatment he received during his visit. As a result, he has informed RAWs Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman that along with Melina, he will be in Johnny Nitro's corner for his match this Monday on RAW with Cena.

RAW ring announcer Lilian Garcia was part of a star-studded evening Thursday night at the MTV Video Music Awards Latin America 2006. The event, which was held at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, was Garcias first awards show appearance, and its something she wont soon forget.
The VMAs were incredible. It was mayhem, but it was unbelievable, Garcia told WWE.com. The stars that showed up, the WWE fans that were there, the photographers, the press, everything it was just unbelievable.
Garcia said the busy red carpet (which was actually green) was the highlight of the night, since she was able to meet some of todays hottest musical acts.
I got to meet Nelly Furtado. I got to speak with Shakira. I had met her before, but I got to really speak to her for a while. And then I got to meet Robbie Williams, Fall Out Boy we talked to them for a while, so that was pretty cool.
Garcia pointed out that many WWE fans had gathered around the red carpet before the show and gave her a warm reception.
Chavo Guerrero was victorious in the grueling "I Quit" match on Friday Night SmackDown. The big story however was Chavo's relentless steel chair assault on Rey Mysterio's already injured knee. After the match, Mysterio had to be carted out on a stretcher.
