MEN Arena Manchester Only half of the building is being used holds about 10,000. First thing I noticed there was more in attendance than last year im predicting mabe 6-7500 difficult to say,
JB comes out with his usuall banter to get the crowd going then introduces the 1st match
Chris Sabin v Amazing Red v Suicide This match got off to a flyer lots of counters, high flying moves really got the crowd going, i thought that Red was outstanding throughout. Suicide was the clear fans favorite, my match of the night Winner - Amazing Red
Global Championship: Rob Terry (c) v Eric Young Rob was out 1st to a mixed reception some cheers, some chanting 'you cant wrestle' Rob had to work pretty hard to win the crowd over, Then Eric young who took the mic and told Rob how hes the leader of the W/E and he should give him his belt back which i think helped Rob win some fans over, Pretty boring match mainly power moves from Big Rob. Winner - Rob Terry
Jeremy Borash informs the crowd that Kurt Angle had just entered the building which got a huge pop from the fans and will be fighting one of our own Desmond Wolfe.
The Pope DAngelo v Rhino. Crowd was split pre match with dueling chants for a couple of minutes...until Rhino got on the mic and heeled us. so/so match i liked the pope he worked the crowd really well. Winner - Pope
Daniels v Hernandez v Samoa Joe v AJ Styles Styles gets on the mic said how hes been on the phone to Flair and his lawyers and refuses to wrestle in a ladder match. TNA President Dixie Carter gets on the mic and tells A.J. to wrestle shes his boss not Flair, Then strangely it changed to a Four Way Tornado Match with tags. Two men are in the ring at once with the TNA World Heavyweight Title on line i thought this was weird why it wasnt just a fatal 4 way would have been much better, Big WE WANT LADDERS chant in the opening minutes as AJ had the ladder taken away and the ladders did not come back. AJ had the figure four on Hernandez at one point. AJ and Daniels worked together at first. I thought Joe was outstanding in this match he really shone worked the crowd really well, The ladder business was bizarre. They even had the hook down and raised it when AJ said so. It was a decent tornado match, but i was so Disappointed at no ladders and TNA with this one for me a huge disapointment it really was considering it was billed as 'the main event' previous to tonight. AJ wins with the styles clash on Daniels Winner - AJ Styles.
Intermission 15 mins Dixie went round the fans signing autographs and letting fans have pictures taken.
Dixie Carter came out after the break to the ring, with her Twitter friend Jane who was the first to tweet 'Cross The Line', she said how she enjoyed ladies watching wrestling it made her proud, then put over the fans some more and asked us to enjoy the rest of the show.
Kurt Angle v Desmond Wolfe A twenty minute time limit is announced for the match between Kurt Angle and Desmond Wolfe. Desmond heels the north of England big time. He wished he was in London. It was quite funny he got a huge pop from the crowd then he Got the mic .....and said he is so proud to be back in England massive cheer went up the he said HOWEVER i wish i was in London and didnt have to wrestle infront of you toothless, inbread, northern monkeys then proceed to say his team Chelsea would win the Premier league. Good match does Angle reversing the Tower of London into an Angle Slam for the pinfall victory. A big Chelsea Rent Boy chant broke out during the match and Desmond was superb to the crowd really played the heel. Match started slow and the last half saw some good exchanges. Angle paraded with the Union flag afterwards to a big ovation. Probably the 2nd best match of the night behind the first one. Winner - Kurt Angle
Sarita and Taylor Wilde v Beautiful People JB anounced a special guest referee which was Hamada, Beautiful people looked amazing as ever, during the match Velvet hit Hamada, who headbutted her back and counted the pin. Winner - Sarita and Taylor Wilde
British Invasion v Beer Money v Team 3D Beer Money gets the crowd going by helping to hand out backstage passes. British Invasion swipe them to many boos and rip them up, 3D come out wielding a table and tells us its a table match, Ray finds out the crowd dosnt all support Manchester united or city i think he was looking for cheap pops didnt really work so he quickly said but you all love team 3D which got the crowd back on side. The crowd was really into Beer Money and Solid Beer Money chants throughout the match. Very fun tag match, 3D were bystanders for the most part but they did their spots to big pops. 3D put Brutus through the table with the 3D and Devon pinned for the win even though it was a tables match. Winner - Team 3D
3D call back Beer Money and lead a cheering contest to win a piece of table. A kid (Jack) was pulled from the crowd and both 3D and Beer Money signed it and gave it to him, Some friendly banter goes on which 3D say Beer Money are the new 3D, which Dixie joins in on and they have a beer bash in the ring.
Overall this was a superb event!!!!! didnt like the setout of the matches it was a bit weird, i was gutted about the ladder match and i didnt feel think it was as good as 2 previous house shows in Liverpool and Manchester, but was still epic if only IMPACT came across this good.
