Impact opens with a graphic dedicated to the lives lost in the recent school shootings in Connecticut.
Austin Aries is shown arriving to the Impact Zone as the three man announce team welcomes us to the show.
(1) TNA TV Championship Match Devon (c) vs. Kurt Angle
Devon arrives with the Aces & Eights, and Kurt Angle brings out Wes Brisco, Samoa Joe and Garrett Bischoff to even the odds. Both groups surround the ring, turning it into a Lumberjack match, of sorts, and this match gets underway.
Angle goes on the offense early with a series of right hands, and ducks a spear by Devon, sending him crashing to the floor. Angle's group tries to get involved, leading to a giant brawl on the outside. As the referee ejects both groups from the ringside area, Devon sneaks back into the ring and attacks Angle's knee from behind.
Commercial Break
Devon is in control as the match resumes, still working over Angle's injured knee. Angle gets back into the corner, but avoids a big splash and gets a belly-to-belly suplex to get back into the match. The triple German suplexes connect, and Devon gets caught in the Ankle Lock as the Aces & Eights once again surround the ring. The referee getes distracted long enough for an enforcer to nail Angle in the back of the head with a pipe, allowing Devon to pick up the victory.
Winner: Devon
The Knockouts are backstage with Brooke Hogan, as she decides who will battle for the title later tonight. ODB gets eliminated, as Brooke says she should go focus on her husband, EY.
After a commercial break, Kenny King says it doesn't matter how he won his match last week, all that matters is that his name was called after the match was over. He talks about teaming with RVD tonight, and that their opponents won't have teeth after they get done tonight.
(2) Joey Ryan & Matt Morgan vs. RVD & Kenny King
Matt Morgan starts off the match against Kenny King, who attempts to take the big man down with a variety of kicks, to very little effect. Morgan with a big headbutt, before tagging in Joey Ryan. King lands a few kicks on Ryan, but Morgan throws him headfirst into the turnbuckle from the apron. Ryan tags out to Matt Morgan, who goes back to work with stiff shoulder blocks and running clothesline into the corner. Ryan yet again tags in to take advantage, but King rolls under a clothesline and gets the hot tag to Rob Van Dam.
Matt Morgan makes his way in and hits Van Dam with the Carbon Footprint as Kenny King looks on from the outside.
Winner: Matt Morgan and Joey Ryan
After the match, King mocks RVD from the entrance ramp, as he lays motionless in the ring after the big boot.
Following a commercial break they show a recap of AJ Styles' walk out last week. Kazarian is asked backstage how he feels about AJ, and he doesn't care. He talks about Christmas, but gets a phone call from his friend "Chris". It's a Santa joke. Meant for laughing, or something.
Hulk Hogan makes his way out the ring to the biggest reaction of the night. He says the fans make him feel like he's 18 years old again. He announces that on January 3rd, they'll announce the fan voted "wrestler of the year". The Aces & Eights make their way out and wait at ringside. Devon starts to talk, but Hogan tells him to get in the ring if he's so tough. Devon tells him to stop believing his own hype, and buying into all his own lies. He says 2012 was the year of Aces & Eights. They try to surround the ring to take out Hogan, but Bully Ray runs down and makes the save. Hogan refuses to accept Bully's gesture, and walks away as Bully asks what in the hell he has to do.
Commercial Break
Backstage, Brooke Hogan is with Mickie James, Velvet Sky and Miss Tessmacher. They all complain about not getting their fair shot at the title. Even though they immediately talk about how all of them were recently given shots at the title. Brooke eliminates Tessmacher so the two returning Knockouts can battle it out.
After yet another AJ Styles video promo, Kazarian makes his way to the ring with a few presents in his hands. There's a Santa chair and a Christmas tree set up in the ring. Kazarian calls the fans "ass goblins" but says they can't ruin the mood he is in. On top of the tree, there's a picture of Kazarian and Chris Daniels. Because they're "stars", get it? Christopher Daniels makes his way out to the ring. Kaz introduces Santa next and hands Chris Daniels an appletini. The first gift is for Santa himself, and it's a pair of those awful retro pants the two wore down to the ring several weeks ago. Daniels sits on Santa's lap as he's asked if he's been a good boy this holiday season. He says he's been great, because he got rid of AJ Styles, the biggest loser in TNA history.
They continue to make fun of AJ Styles, but James Storm makes his way out to save Christmas. He says he doesn't care if they run their mouths about AJ Styles, but they better not ruin Christmas for everybody's children. Storm gets in the ring and throws a Christmas tree, before complaining about all the gifts he didn't get as a kid. He hits the Last Call Superkick on Santa, puts on his hat and celebrates in the ring as he throws toys to the crowd.
Commercial Break
The Aces & Eights are in their clubhouse, and the leader wants to know what happened out in the Impact Zone earlier in the night. They talk about Sting returning on 1/3/13, and Devon says he knows "somebody" who might be able to help them out. They vote on it, and it appears that person will have a sit-down meeting with the Eights next week.
(3) TNA Knockouts Championship Tara (c) vs. Mickie James
The television feed cut out during this match, likely due to a local snow storm. The finish saw Mickie James hitting a Thesz press on Jesse from the top rope to the outside. James would re-enter the ring, but a distraction from Jesse was enough for Tara to pick up the win.
Winner: Tara
Following a commercial break, another video package for Joseph Park in OVW airs. During the video he gets busted open and freaks out, hitting a Black Hole Slam and then "snapping out of it" again.
(4) TNA World Heavyweight Championship Jeff Hardy (c) vs. Austin Aries
They take a commercial break at the very start of the match, but when they come back Jeff Hardy is just breaking out of a side headlock from Aries, dropping him with a headlock takedown and a standing dropkick. Hardy gets ten mounted punches in the corner as the Impact Zone chants along with each one. Aries rolls to the outside and the champ follows him, but gets thrown into the steel steps as TNA goes to yet another commercial break.
Following the last commercial, Aries is still in control after knocking the champ off the top rope. A running dropkick connects in the corner, but Hardy kicks out at two. Hardy avoids the Brainbuster and drops the challenger with a facebuster from the powerbomb position. He goes up top for Whisper in the Wind, but Aries rolls out of the way and the champion lands hard on the mat. Aries again goes for the Brainbuster, but Hardy manuevers out of it and gets the Twist of Fate, sending Aries into the corner. Hardy tries for a running splash, but gets knocked back into referee Brian Hebner. Hardy checks on the ref, but Aries gets him with a low blow. Brainbuster connects, but there's nobody to count the pin. Another official makes his way out, but Bobby Roode runs down and pulls him out of the ring. Roode counts to two on the mat, and Aries turns around to realize who is in the ring. Roode hits him with the Spinebuster, and Hardy follows it up with the Swanton Bomb for the three.
Winner: Jeff Hardy
After the match, Hulk Hogan is walking to his car ready to leave the Impact Zone. The interviewer is trying to ask him what's going on with Bully Ray and he's getting ignored. He says the main event picture is chaos and that's his primary concern. Bully Ray and Brooke Hogan are shown making out in the background.
