De reuzenorchidee bloeit! Nu is de lente écht begonnen. Orchis de Robert wordt hij in Frankrijk genoemd. Naar de naam van de botanist Robert (begin 19e eeuw).De plant was ooit beschermd, nu niet meer. Toch liefst niet plukken... het is zo'n vrolijk schouwspel. Op één stukje grond zie je er soms tientallen. Nu deze Barlia bloeit is het uitkijken naar de Orchidée de Provence.
Barlia Robertiana is the latin name of this orchid. The first one to appear in springtime. It used to be protected, but isn't any longer. If you find one, you usually find more of them, sometimes up to ten or more. An enchanting sight, really a feeling of spring.
