Een bloeiende agave is geen alledaags gegeven in ons dorp. Ongewone pracht, indrukwekkende uitbundigheid, het resultaat van jaren groeien, de belofte voor vele nieuwe planten, die op een dag even sterk zullen bloeien als de moederplant. Hier zit toch meer dan één kerstwens in verscholen!

Nearly ready for Christmas! All our wishes translated in the photograph. An agave in full bloom is not at all common in our village. We think it is a very beautiful, strong and promising plant. It takes years before the flower starts growing, and when it does, one knows it will mean the end of the motherplant. But many small, new plant will start growing and one day they, in their turn will have a flower like this one. And if we are lucky ... we will be part of that show again! (as last year, and the year before... we take our christmasphoto in summertime!)
