Why do people not understand that when it comes down to issues that are revolving around ego, they don't get the purpose of the ego. Ego was never meant to cause any harm like pride and idolatry. Unless we put ego on the same level as pride and idolatry, ego is opposed to pride and idolatry, like good is opposed to bad. There is a separation between the essence of the purpose of good and bad characteristics. See, there once was a man who poured out his ego every day of his life, and the result appears to be unfortunate, because all his life people were pointing at him, and talking behind his back, saying: Who does he think he is? But appearances are misleading. On the last day the Lord will say: Behold, this is the only person who poured out his ego every day of his life, he's more humble than everyone of you, for after all, not one thing that he poured out is something that he was able to make by himself, because I gave him every little thing that he passed on to other people, he's just the only one who didn't keep it to himself. And on that day, the selfish people who thought they were humble because they reduced their ego, or at least that's what they told themselves they were doing, will be ashamed.
