This is a comment I left in the comments section of a YouTube video called: Don't be Hostages of Western History (YouTube channel Middle Nation). I erased it.
I grew up in a small town just outside of Brussels, the capital of Europe. I'm also a resentful kid that's locked in a locker at school, because the bully can't stand that I outsmart him. So, even if I pass that message, which I've been doing my whole life, are you going to unlock the door, because if you don't, you're not better than the bully. So, do you have the key? OPEN THE DOOR! The virus will spread if we don't detect it before it's too late. Being locked in a locker room is not a good situation to be in if you want to pass a message. The problem is: you don't want to listen to the smart kid either, the bully didn't want to, and neither do you, but for a different reason. The reason is prioritizing institutions at the expense of humans. You have a better education system than our education system, which makes you believe, or should I say which tricks you into believing that the problem with the education system is a far greater issue than the smart kid that is still kept hostage in the claustrophobic locker. Did it ever occur to you that you need to free this hostage, that you have to free this prisoner, instead of blaming a failing education system? A good education system needs smart people, right? You can connect the dots, don't you? Why did the bully lock me up in the first place? To pull me down. But you don't want to pull me down. Is that so? Indeed, you don't want to pull me down, unless I can prove that you're the bully. I mean are you actually aware of how painful your testimony is? Yes, I'm talking about your video! We are real people, you know. I don't care what continent you're born in. I don't care if you're born in the global north or the global south. I don't care if you have Confucius wisdom, Qur'an wisdom, or Nietzsche wisdom. I care about humans. If it had been left to you, they would have all been left in the dustbin of history, those are your words. But do you literally mean: if it had been left to me? To me? See, as a smart kid locked in a locker, I don't mind that you think I'm lucky to be born in the west, but if you think there's a difference between reverse discrimination coming from every person in this world that's not lucky enough to be a white boy in the west towards that white boy in the west, if you think there's a difference between reverse discrimination coming from all the creeds and races in the world that are poor victims of white western supremacy towards that white boy, and a bully that thinks it's funny to chain lucky white boys tightly in a narrow space for a long period, then you obviously make a mistake, because then you are the bully. You are the bully if you think locking me up makes the world a better place because my parents are guilty of all wars, stupidity, diseases and colonization all the way, and I have to pay. Yes, you're gonna have to face the place where everyone's hiding everything they do, kind of like in a locker. Some people think that when you hide the problems long enough they eventually pop up at the most uncomfortable moment, and the worst thing is: when they do pop up they are very sticky, like a virus. Yes, you will have to face the fact that you picked an innocent child to make him pay for the transgressions of his ancestors with raw, unhinged, heavy bloody suffering. Sadly, no one ever hears about the one that pays for the mistakes of other people. Listen to yourself: The west this, and the west that, and the west yap yap yap, it goes on and on and on. When are you going to understand that you are fueling hatred towards innocent children, because they are lucky to have won the lottery: the supreme heritage of western colonial civilisation! Thank you! Thank you to everyone all around the world for looking up to me like that! I was born in the same world, but not at the same place, I was born in this echo chamber called a locker, I heard already in another video of yours that you approved of the separation between your place and this damn place from where I'm trying to reach you, because this place from where I'm trying to reach you is a vacuüm that lacks reason and comprehension, which is basically just approving of separatism, which is the root of everything you criticise, as I expect you to know. You can bear the idea of separating your place from my place, but how come you can't separate the accountability of institutions from the accountability of people that happen to be born at the wrong place at the wrong time? Despite my failed education they taught me about Malcolm X and Martin Luther King at school. They taught me about separatism. You don't have one good word for us in the west, but as it turns out you cling to the same principles of separatism, even though we all know it's the root of many problems in the western way of thinking. It looks like my lottery ticket has a serious downside after all. Everyone agrees it's contradictory to criticise what you approve of, it basically means your morals and values are not integer but twisted. This problem is not new, this problem is a billion times older than you! Why don't you come over here and tell this lucky white boy who you call a person you make pay for the mistakes of his ancestors, because I don't know any other name than Jesus. Give me another name, or stop crucifying me! I love you, people of America, north and south, Europe and Africa, Asia and Australia! God bless you! I was just hoping someone would love me back some day.
