Zo gelukkig weer even tijd om wat dingetjes toe te voegen. Vorige Zaterdag eerst de gebruikelijke skype en daarna vlug onze foto ID gaan ophalen hier in de community. Hierdoor kunnen we dus gebruik maken van het winterzwembad en de tennisvelden. Uit niewsgierigheid ook eens wat inlichtingen genomen om lid te worden van de golf, je weet maar nooit.
In de namiddag vlug in de auto want om 4 uur begint de braves wedstrijd. Het is het laatste weekend van het reguliere seizoen en de Atlanta Braves maken nog steeds kans om de play offs te halen ze moeten dan wel nog een keer winnen en San Diego moet verliezen. Vandaag is het ook een speciale wedstrijd want Bobby Cox wordt gehuldigd. Hij gaat met pensioen en was maar liefst 20 jaar headcoach van de Braves, daar kunnen onze Belgische voetbalploegen nog een keer iets van leren. Natuurlijk zijn we niet alleen, de wedstrijd is uitverkocht dus 52000 toeschouwers! Helaas valt de wedstrijd tegen en verliezen we van de Philies met 7-0. Maar goed voor ons kon de pret niet op want is toch wel weer een nieuwe ervaring zo een baseball game.
Leve Amerika want na de wedstrijd gaan we om 9 uur 30 's avonds nog rustig onze inkopen doen bij Kroger. Zou je in Belgie toch niet moeten proberen. Morgen gaan we richting Ikea.....

Last Saturday was normal skype morning, followed by a quick visit to the community association and collect our photo ID so we can use the pool during the winter and maybe play some tennis. More out of curiosity we did also stop at the golf country club to collect some information on the initiation fees. We now live in a golf community so I guess we need to start learn playing this thnng.
By 4pm we have to be at the baseball stadium for the Braves game. Atlanta can still make the play offs as they need to 1 more game during the final week-end of the regular season. The game is a very special one as the head coach, Bobby Cox will go on retirement and he will be honored for his 20 years as head coach with the Braves! The game is sold out so we are with 52000 to see the braves playing terrible and we lost with 7-0.
The nice thing about the US is that even on a Saturday evening at 9.30 pm we can go to do our groceries. Tomorrow we go to Ikea.....
